Atrius Health Boston Post Office Square: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Karen Bikofsky has been my PCP since ~2019. I typically visit once a year for my physical and she is always kind, friendly, and thorough, and remembers me. I’ve visited more often these past two years due to some recurrent health issues, and Karen has always been professional and orders the tests that I need or explains why something isn’t medically necessary. All but one of my visits have been in-person; I had a single telehealth visit when I requested to see an allergist and PT earlier this year. Karen was able to refer me to a physical therapist in Post Office Square (same building, super convenient, I recommend Holly Kantor!!) and an allergist in Kenmore. I also love everyone else on her team; communicating through MyChart messages is easy. Special shoutout to Darya and Aarushi! I choose my own local pharmacy to pick up RXs but I do get blood draws here for labs and the phlebotomists are always professional and skilled.
Negative experience: I called looking for a PCP because I need information and help navigating specialty care after a car hit me. I do not need anything other than information and for someone to review my record and help me figure out where to go for specialty care. The people acted like I was the scum of the earth and refused to even see me. What arrogance! PS, I called the number they show below in their response, and left a message. No response from them at all. What unprofessional scammers.

Negative experience: Atrius health is the worst!
Negative experience: Not a big fan of the Pharmacy here. I have had a lot of issues with some of my prescriptions where I call to refill with the Automated System and they tell me they need to order it with the Dr because I am out of refills. I then wait and call back a few days later and it seems like the Dr. never got the order for the refill or something and basically I have to keep doing a ton of work to try and get my medication. Very frustrating.
Negative experience: I did my blood sample this morning (9/12/2025) and then felt my arm been sore and heavy throughout the day. Here is what I saw after I returned home and removed the tape. I don’t think any further comment is needed. Still pains.
Negative experience: Frequent incorrect billing. This is the only place I have ever had issues where preventative services are routinely billed out as diagnostic. These include routine sexual health screening as well as lab work. Billing office provides dubious, irrational reason for billing under diagnostic codes while the physician visit summary clearly indicates lack of symptoms and preventative order of lab.
Negative experience: Horrible Doctors. Care horrible. I've had this insurance for years. It was nothing like it was. Now it's horrible . Dr just don't care . There some good Doctors, but they always leave . Harvard vanguard in Kenmore is much more professional I'm like this place. Took over 20 years to find out what was wrong with my back. Took well over 20 years for fatigue which the primary care I had first visit did a blood test and found the problem. Now that Dr left. For my new one twice two times too many. I had surgery on my nose mohs surgery to remove skin cancer. that's what the surgery is and removes all the cancer. I told my new doctor that, she's telling me that they want to see me again to remove more. She was reading the doctors notes from before I had the surgery. this place was great once It could be great again get the doctors the heck out of this building get some good ones. And don't make it so the good ones leave.
Positive experience: My appointment was like 10 minutes and not very detailed. They are unwilling to correct and incorrect billing information Edit: they have corrected my billing information after multiple back and forths

Negative experience: One of the worst PCPs I've entered. Super process-oriented. You see a different person every time. Their medical advice is not particularly accurate and generally requires doing your own research to interpret results; they also routinely forget relevant and basic lifestyle and medical history. "Dr" Herron (an NP) in particular is frustrating and obstructive to interact with. I only went to them since they were conveniently located for work & home and because I couldn't get into any other PCPs as a new patient during the post pandemic provider shortage

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hale’s team is amazing!!!
Negative experience: Rude staff
Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Dr. Gantman. She is very friendly and thorough. The app makes it easy to follow up and communicate with her regarding tests after the appointment.
Negative experience: I needed a primary care and found this office close to my job. Unfortunately the PCP canceled my appointment 2x at the last minute, with the same excuse as the first time. The nurse stated that she was sick….both times? And on the same day of both appointments?? Yea ok, I’ll go elsewhere. None of the doctors in any department listen to the patients concerns. They take blood work and say labs are normal when they aren’t.
Negative experience: Horrible doctor and staff. Dr. Meaghan C didn’t even pay attention to my situation. Besides that the staff lied about the cost of my visit. Before the visit they told I am totally covered by insurance and don’t have to pay any fees but a week they later charged me $400. These people are horrible, don’t get any services here
Fantastic experience: Just want to thank Valerie (one of the ladies I spoke to over the phone). She works for the Internal Medicine Department. She was very patient and kind with me over the phone when I called trying to reach another department. Ultimately, I got the assistance I needed thanks to her. Thank you Valerie!
Negative experience: I have been a patient of Harvard Vanguard since 2005 and have great experiences at all the other locations including Somerville, Cambridge, Wellesley, and Needham. This location has terrible service with long wait time when you arrive. Staff in the pharmacy refused to help us find the right code for our prescription so we were forced to pay the full amount up front and have to fill our own reimbursement form. Save yourself the headache and time by going to another location.
Fantastic experience: Very nice & clean facility in downtown Boston. I had Narine Taraksian who helped me previously & recently had my physical with her. Extremely thorough and happy with the services I received. Was able to get lab work done quickly with no wait times since I have busy schedule. Communicated well, addressed all questions and concerns. My wife also comes here and is happy with the services & prompt responses. Grateful to be a part of this practice. Thanks for all your help!
Fantastic experience: Great experience from the time I entered to the time I left. I got to the office 15 minutes early as instructed and checked in. Had to update my address really quickly so going in early came in handy. I was directed to where I needed to go, and saw someone immediately. I got my vitals done then saw my doctor for my procedure. Tanya was super sweet, reassuring and comforting! I was a little worried about what I was going in for but she took all of the pressure away.
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Chelsea Evans. She is one of the best family medicine doctors I have EVER had! She is very attentive and patient and practices a deep sense of listening. My Medical Assistant, Catherine, was also excellent -- efficient and kind!
Negative experience: Going through vaccine injury (ie: tinnitus). I can't get any doctors to take me seriously, including this place.
Fantastic experience: ☺excellent
Negative experience: We had appointment and we were there on time and than a lady came late and they made us wait extra time I mean it’s common sense that if someone comes late after their appointment they should either be rescheduled or been seen later What’s the point of me coming on time ?
Negative experience: First time. Was 10 minutes late and only invited me to the exam room after I asked the receptionist. No explanation, no apology. They asked me to leave my belongings in the exam room to take my weight and height outside. While my back was turned they must have gone in and looked through my stuff because later on the doctor asked me if I carried pepper spray and if I felt unsafe. If they were intentionally trying to lose me as a patient they have done a great job.
Negative experience: The nurse practitioner I saw was passive aggressive and condescending. She didn't agree with what a previous doctor had informed me and kept saying, 'I don't know who told you that,' after I had made it clear that my previous PCP had. She then was gossiping about me in the hallway (directly in front of my closed exam room door) with the other nurse that was in the office. To top this rude behavior off, she wasn't using my appropriate pronouns and was referring to me as "she," while gossiping about me.
Negative experience: Called me less than an hour before my appointment saying they need to cancel.
Negative experience: My son called a 8am with excruciating knee pain he was seen Tuesday but pain worse they were supposed to call back but as of 1pm no one called
Negative experience: Had an experience with physical therapy here and the level of professional ism and respect could be improving, additionaly the Person treating me pretending to know what was causing my concern was off the mark and they refused to do manual treatment because of the fact I had a massage recently - then charged me full price! Feel there was several aspects where this did not come close to a responsible standard of care for physical therapy specifically, cannot comment on other areas
Negative experience: The details of my experience is this: first yime; late by 16 minutes and dr. Difiloppo would not see me. Can you believe that. My appt with her wod have lasted q.5 hrs but she decided her time was worth more than mine without consideration of parking construction and traffic. Hateful experience. Dr. Difolippo is def. Not worth my time or yours with that bedside manner. I don't know maybe lunch was more important to her but she does not show that she gives a rats butt about u.
Fantastic experience: I've been seeing multiple providers here for 5 years and always had great experiences. Everyone from front desk to medical assistants to MDs is timely, professional, and friendly. Highly highly recommend.
Negative experience: High priority is all I hear when I call to get a prescription filled. I’ve been waiting for over a week now without medication. I had to borrow from the pharmacy just to get by. Absolutely ridiculous. Bureaucracy at its finest
Negative experience: I called to make an appointment for a flu shot and was told I didn't need an appointment. I showed up, and there was nobody at the checkin desk. When someone finally asked me what i was there for they told me to go to the 7th floor. When I got to the 7th floor I was told I needed an appointment. What is up with the communication at this office?
Negative experience: The doctors can be excellent but what good is it if the administration repeatedly fumbles your prescription refills so that you are without medicine?
Negative experience: Ok this goes out to the desk staff on some of the floors. Not the main desk because they are generally lovely and kind. There is no reason whatsoever if you have a caller and they are asking for a doctors or nurses opinion or test that it is ever in your immediate jurisdiction to make an immediate decision over the phone whether or not to even check in with the medical staff and to be nasty about how a patient needs to simply wait for whenever they meet w the doctor to even have a discussion when it involves cancer. Secondly, if someone calls your Dept and it turns out the referring party they are responding to is in another Dept you would then politely say oh please hold i can transfer you, not you can go ahead and check what the number was on your my health and call that?!!!! Simply awful customer service
Hi Lulu,
We are very sorry to hear you received less than excellent customer service. We would like to learn more about your experience. Please feel free to contact our corporate patient relations department at 617-559-8440 or email [email protected].
Fantastic experience: Very nice staff, fantastic pharmacy. When I was unable to book an appointment here, they kindly found the next closest location and booked it for me. The pharmacists at the window are always super nice and efficient (esp if you just need non-prescription drugs and give them a list) and the prices are low.
Negative experience: Had an eye exam on 02/20/2019 and it went fine, the Dr was very nice. I was walked down to the Optical Store and purchased new lenses and new frames on 02/20/2019 and paid for my glasses and lenses in full. I was told they they would take 7-10 business days. I called on business day #9 which was Monday March 4th and was told the glasses would be in on Tuesday March 5th, business day #10 after purchasing them in full. I called Tuesday March 5th to see when I could pick up my glasses an was told the glasses did not arrive and would be in on Wednesday March 6th, business day #11. I was frustrated as I expect a company to fulfill their commitment to a customer who paid in full. On Wednesday afternoon March 6th at 12pm I called to see if I could pick up my glasses and was told they have not arrived. This morning I get a call and I am told the glasses will not be in until Friday, March 8th. I am beyond frustrated at this point. Not only did they mislead me around how long it will take for my glasses to arrive, but the person who called me today argued with me that today was not even business day #10 I pulled out my receipt and walked her through the dates. She the responds, we do not count weekends. I told her Friday is business day #13.. I could not be more disappointed... Terrible Customer Service and then the nerve of someone trying to lie about the dates is terrible. Had they told me when I purchased the glasses and paid in full it would take 14 business days, I would not have batted an eye. To get lead on and mislead is very bad business
Hi Jason,
We are very sorry to hear this and understand how frustrating it must be. If you would like to speak with our patient relations department please call 617-559-8440 or email [email protected].
Negative experience: Went to my OBGYN appointment and after waiting 2 hours to be seen in urgent care, the MD Diane Foley told me she would follow up with my pcp and get back to me the next day. Today is Tuesday 2/19/19 and I was seen on 2/14/19! Called them this morning, spoke to the rudest staff who said would forward the message to both my PCP and the MD I seen. Still no call, but they say call patient experience like they going to solve the issue! I’m going to Mass General without a referral, because my insurance will pay or Harvard will pay. But, as a healthcare worker I knew to record everything because healthcare will lie their way out of a lawsuit.
Negative experience: I was forced to leave Harvard Vanguard after many years seeing doctors here. Harvard Vanguard misdiagnosed my knee injury and refused to perform diagnostic imaging to reveal what was wrong. They insisted I did an entire course of PT which was not effective at treating my torn ligament and only prolonged the inevitable surgery. I attempted to go elsewhere for care related to this injury and they REFUSED REPEATEDLY to refer me to Mass General Hospital. I took all of my care over to MGH because of this. They dont care about customer service and are incompetent as far as orthopedics and physical therapy. I inform anyone who will listen to me not to visit this practice. Harvard Vangard is notorious for not referring patients outside of their network for ANY REASON, and this is unacceptable business practice. You are choosing profits and bureaucracy over the well being and care of your patients.
Negative experience: Consistently booked and can't accommodate appointments, office staff is not very friendly, and they do not respond quickly to prescription refill requests. Go elsewhere.
Hi Sara,
Thank you for your feedback and we're sorry to hear you've experienced difficulty booking appointments and other issues. If you'd like to discuss this further please contact our corporate patient relations department at 617-559-8440 or email [email protected].
Fantastic experience: Awesome and effective treatment and grateful results
Fantastic experience: Great staff, full service location with lab, x-ray, pharmacy and more. Appointments are usually on time. I hardly ever wait more than a few minutes. If you use this location because you work nearby, on nights and weekends you can go to another one of their locations closer to home for urgent service. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Excellent staff, Dr. Leddy and Megan are great and very caring. There has been no wait to speak of anytime I've gone here.
Fantastic experience: The staff is great! Everything super fast and convenient.
Fantastic experience: They have great doctors.
Fantastic experience: Good for family visits.
Positive experience: Clean and good doctors
Fantastic experience: Dr Marcelo Campos is extremely professional and friendly every single visit. He explained everything and I am thrilled with my results.
