Experiencia positiva: This team is worth the wait. The provider and small group take time to set up, but the dietician also provides support, and I have seen her as often as needed. I have lost weight following her advice and using my current mental health providers for support as well. I am successful because I have reached out to other providers for support while waiting for Dr. Swan's small group to start. I would give the program a 5-star rating, but I have waited 3 months beyond what Katie recommended for a return date, and it took over 4 months to get into the small group for support. I would recommend signing up if you need help with weight management, but don't passively wait for their appointments. Find additional support. : )

Experiencia negativa: I was going to admit to Sanford’s but admission has been a pain. They don’t respond fast and I am coming from California and they told me you have to be 100% compliant with food or it’s immediate discharge no working with you and told me strait up that “if you can’t find a ride home coming from out of state there’s a women’s homeless shelter down the street” like I’m not going to spend hundreds to fly and then be afraid to get kicked out and scramble to find a last minute flight and be threatened with a homeless shelter if I can’t get a fast enough way home. I can afford a hotel but the way they told me this was very off putting. I’m going for help and because I’m struggling and understand there’s guidelines but if I could be 100% on day one I wouldn’t be needing this level of care nor flying so far to get it. It’s awful how they acted toward me and a population that is struggling, Ed’s are not an overnight cure it takes time and compassion which they lack

Experiencia fantástica: I had weight loss surgery here in 2016 everyone was SO nice, friendly and helpful. Now thru no fault of theirs my weight is creeping back up so I am under their care once again to get it under control. Once again...even though many are different faces now 9 yrs later....they are friendly, helpful and make you feel like you matter and they are rooting for you. If they run behind on appts I never get upset because they will take the time and care needed with my appt too!

Experiencia negativa: They don't help anybody at all. They certainly didn't help my family. They sent our family member home and they are right back doing exactly what they did to be sent there to begin with. People get sent there because there is something wrong in their brains and they kick you out at the drop of hat. People who work there hate their jobs. They are veteran unfriendly. Sending my family member there was a 100% waste of time. Look for another place because they don't help you. They are judgmental and condescending. God help you if your travel arrangements get screwed up. They will kick you out on the street so they can give a bed to another paying customer.

Experiencia negativa: The only reason I do not give one star is because of Dr Borud….shes a star and so is her nurse…the psychologist I saw was not only unprofessional but was incompetent. I would highly recommend not going into this program.

Experiencia negativa: They have everything necessary to help people and choose not to use it. Waste of time and money. I was referred for fitness issues after I had significant weight gain and muscle loss due to injury/illness. The inbody scans were helpful too track progress and initiate a plan. The first plan caused me to gain weight, so then we established a lower calorie plan that was working! (because I followed it as close as humanly possible) HOWEVER, I was accused of being an anorexia risk and referred to the "eating disorder" despite it being THEIR plan in the first place. I tracked everything I ate and established HEALTHY routines.. I was on a roll! They could've just increased the calorie count slowly as I gained muscle, but instead they added a whole new department to the team that already included 4 specialists. THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY. THEY WON'T HELP YOU. THEY DON'T CARE.

Experiencia negativa: I'm new to this clinic...the doctors and staff are ALWAYS late. And not even just 5 minutes late it has always been over a 10 minute wait. Once we even waited over 15 minutes past the time we were told to be seen and they still had not seen me. The primary physician also diagnosed me with bulima on the VERY FIRST VISIT. Tell me how that is smart or ethical, when they know little to none about me. I also found the staff and doctors to be pretty rude and judgmental. So 100% do not recommend this clinic. Please find someone else.

Experiencia negativa: I once rated this place 5 stars! I boasted to anyone who I came across with an ED. I saw many providers well over 5 years here. Im not ashamed. Many helped me thru some of what seemed some of my darkest chapters. Understanding and acknowledging my ED now is something I am proud to say Ive accomplished and continue to personally experience and grow in. I have overcome so much yet it saddens me to feel so unheard by my medical provider. I feel there was a blurred vision a disconnect of their goals they saw fit for me and my personal goals. It always felt their medical view and understanding of me was “more valuable, more important” because they seemed to “know more” about me than even I do. The judgement I started to feel was unwarranted and uncomfortable especially in this specific space. I began to feel a need to disengage more and more the less “heard” I felt because the “louder and more clear” I represented myself they only viewed it differently or looked in my chart at the “history of me” and what occurred instead of what transformations have actually occurred and actually listening to me. Its a shame:( I am still thankful for all the years with the providers who did listen but perhaps I need to look elsewhere and see someone who may have a “fresh” look at the actual person I am today and not look at my illness or chart and define me for that and feel as tho my goals are “set” around someone else. I had multiple goals to achieve. Im ready to rise on top of the next one and not wait for my team to be ready to help support me in it as medically I will need some help and I just have not gotten that here. It starts to feel like “bill” this provider “accomplish” this for another so many months then just maybe we’ll consider. A dangling carrot and im just not buying anymore. Note for others. Listen to yourself. If you put the work in. Do not doubt your judgement and Do Not set aside your dreams and goals because someone else on the team doubts you based on your “rap sheet” (diagnosis). Move forward to someone who will listen and believe you.

Experiencia negativa: Update; the response below was only for show, I called and never got a response. I did try making an appointment again and was double booked appointments on me without my knowledge. Haven't even made it past the receptionist yet, she pretended to be a nurse talking about evaluations and got private information from me meant for professionals only. So I am already not feeling good about this and the few people here that left good reviews sound fake with no names or details on why it was good.

Experiencia fantástica: I visited Morgan Bourud at Sanford Weightloss and she seemed to guininely care about the progress I have made and does her best to help make even more progress. I would highly suggest that if you really want to lose weight effectively to see Morgan. She has helped me lose 130 lbs so far.

Experiencia negativa: Katie Thielges has been no help or encouragement whatsoever- in fact the opposite! When I leave her office I feel worse about myself, leaving in tears! Who does this kind of job if they are going to be condescending to the patients and on top of it making them feel like a huge failure!! A request was made to change providers.

Experiencia fantástica: I have had a very positive experience with Weight Management even though I have my ups and downs. My slip ups are my fault but there are no reprimand just encouragement. When you know what you need to do just get back on track. They are very friendly from when you walk off the elevator to when you get back on.

Experiencia fantástica: I’m unfortunately a seasoned pro at ED treatments having been a patient in over 5 programs multiple times… Sanford is the first treatment program that has made a true, significant difference in my ED battles. The staff - from the doctors to the therapists to the dietitians, nurses and CNAs are all SO full of kindness and empathy- they are all generous of spirit. I’ve also found tha staff to be very knowledgeable. I also appreciate the fact that the doctors accept nothing less than honesty - it’s uncanny how quickly they detect BS! I also find that the SEED model that Sanford supports is the right fit for me. Please seek help here if you struggle with any kind of ED! Special plaudits for Julie, Dr. J, Bri, Nikki and Sam

Experiencia negativa: The doctors at this clinic are horrible. Do not go here if you want fair and pleasant treatment. They jerk you around for a long time and then lay out a ridiculous year long plan for someone who desperately needs this surgery. Go to any other clinic except this one. I have asked for a referral to essentia.

Experiencia negativa: I strongly recommend not going there. Unethical and disrespectful of your time and money. They purposely mislead me to make money off of me. At the start of my appointment I let Lorraine A. Swan-Kremeier know what I was looking for and asked if that was what they offered: I know what healthy food is, education is not the issue; misusing food to treat something unknown to me is the disorder I need assistance with. I was assured that is what they do. I went to half a dozen appointments I was told were necessary to get initial information on my body and medical history, spent hundreds of dollars only to be told by that same doctor, 'Now we're going to teach you what healthy food is.' I said 'No, I told you when we first met that is not necessary. I am misusing food to treat something else unknown to me. I need help discovering what that is.' Only then was I told, 'We don't do that.' UNACCEPTABLE. They purposely mislead me to make money off of me. I strongly recommend not going there. Unethical and disrespectful of your time and money.

Experiencia fantástica: Medical providers at this location are very professional, listens and responds quickly to your needs, the process to get started was simple! Went from 330 to 200 IBS in less than 1 year thanks to Dr. Vogel and her experienced team!
