Fantastic experience: Been in for a few adjustments and a prenatal massage during this pregnancy. Worth it. Walking out feeling so much better. Dr. Shirley and his staff are friendly. My mom and grandfather have been in since I suggested they try it out. Both had nothing but great things to say. Now post partum both my baby and I have been back for adjustments as needed. Baby does very well during adjustments and is happy after. My order children are now asking if they can get adjustments.

Fantastic experience: Patient centered care. Wow, this has been hands down the best medical service I have received since retiring the Army. I was referred to Dr. Shirley by the VA, due to my excessive back, hip, and knee pain. On my first visit, I did not know what to expect. I got there with a lot of aches and pain, and when I left his office, I was on cloud 9. I love the professional, welcoming environment that Dr. Shirley and his staff provides. I also love how he not only accessed the problem, but he breaks down the causes in order to help you to better understand the underlying problems. I really love and appreciate his patient centered approach. He doesn't make you feel like a "number" but a real person and patient. I would highly recommend Dr. Shirley.

I came in with my daughter and I was very impressed by how friendly and professional they were, from the reception personnel to Dr. Shirley. I have never before been to a chiropractor until now and let me tell I’m so happy I did. Dr. Shirley is really good !!! He popped me like a bag of chips which did not hurt at all. I walked out of this place feeling sooooooo good. I felt young again. The stiffness went away and I now feel like the elastic man I can bend over and turn without any stiffness or pain. Positive experience: I went twice a few months ago, due to stiffness and pain in my neck. I've been to other chiropractors before, and always got relief, so I'm not new to this. The 1st visit seemed beneficial, although it was rougher adjustment than I was used to, and no massaging or loosening of any tight muscles, as some other chiros have done for me before. 2nd visit was pretty much the same routine, except this time, I felt something "pop" an inch or so below one of my shoulder blades, and after leaving it felt like I had a pinched nerve in that area. I should've gone right back inside, but I thought it was just soreness from the adjustment, and would go away soon. It didn't though, and after a day or so my fingers started tingling; I definitely think the 2nd adjustment pinched a nerve. I finally got better, but I won't be returning.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Shirley is incredible. I’ve been seeing him since I was 16 weeks pregnant due to pelvic pain and am in my last few weeks of my first pregnancy. He has continued to adjust me and make sure everything is aligned appropriately and give patient education and tips that have allowed me to avoid taking medication to manage the pain. My goal is an unmedicated birth and he gives empowering support each time I see him that I am fully capable of doing just that.

Negative experience: I went to this chiropractor because he some extra certifications for prenatal care. Worst chiropractor experience I've ever had. 8 months pregnant, terrible nerve and back pain and he basically tells me I was hurting because of the way I walked and stood... he did an adjustment that hurt, and I felt zero relief. I had gone to a different place out of town that did several other different treatments and felt relief that lasted for weeks.

Fantastic experience: He is by far hands down an excellent chiropractor. Husband and I walked out feeling brand new. He also educated us for optimal result. Highly recommend him to all our family and friends.

Fantastic experience: I was in a great deal of discomfort when I found Dr. Shirley, I got the same day appointment and the source of my pain was corrected right away. What I liked about this practice is that it’s a wellness check too, they took blood pressure and thorough medical history. Dr. Shirley took his time to explain how I ended up with my problem and what to do to avoid the issues, his staff showed me stretches to help ease my discomfort. I’m really happy that I found Dr. Shirley and his friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: Dr Shirley and his staff are like family. I love that the staff has all been with him for years. They remember you, they are so kind and professional. They are as much my experience as Dr Shirley. Dr Shirley is fantastic. He takes the time to sit and talk about remedies outside of his adjustments. He cares. Genuinely cares. I’ve taken my children to him, which is big for me because I am particular. He has gained my full trust. I was in this week after only days of having a baby. My blood pressure was unusually high. His staff knew that’s not my normal. They were all so kind, talking to me, holding my baby, giving me water and trying everything to bring it down. I felt very loved and cared for. That’s hard to come by with a Dr and their staff. I truly adore everyone in that office!

Fantastic experience: This doctor is the best chiropractor I’ve ever visited. It’s like he has X-ray vision and can diagnose your pain and remedy it in record time. He’s a little rough but accurate. I thoroughly enjoy his staff as well, they always are very down to earth and ready to strike up a conversation. Underrated location but don’t let that deter you, you won’t regret it. OC out//

Fantastic experience: The staff and Dr. Quincy were wonderful. Dr. Quincy takes special care of you and not a pop and go chiropractor like most places. He will also show you unique stretches and exercises to do to prevent your issues in the future! I’m a fairly new client and already recommended them to friends and family!

Fantastic experience: I should’ve went here when I was pregnant! I brought my baby to Dr. Shirley. I loved his methods and enjoyed his fun personality. I was driving all the way to Comfort, TX for a chiropractor before I learned of Dr. Shirley’s office and started bringing my son to him. My son dealt with some Digestive issues and Dr. Shirley could always get us in last minute to help relieve my son’s constipation. And he actually LISTENED to my concerns about my son’s developmental delays that our pediatrician at the time brushed off as typical development. My son was later diagnosed with a form of muscular dystrophy called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. I’m glad Dr. Shirley was one of the only professionals who validated my concerns. I’m glad I pushed the pediatrician and got a second opinion to get a referral so he could be diagnosed.

Fantastic experience: I took my son here when he was a baby. We plan to return soon! Dr. Shirley was very thorough and we really loved that he was certified as an infant chiropractor with lots of experience with babies.

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Dr. Shirley since I was 20 weeks pregnant. He's very knowledgeable, and humorous. His team is very professional, and the vibe is positive. I've also entrusted him to adjust my infant. Overall, I've never left with a bad experience and I've always felt better after my adjustment.

Negative experience: He doesn't know what he is doing.... he wants to crack here and there but he still dont get it. Expensive dont waste ur money

Fantastic experience: Dr Shirley is webster-certified for pregnancy and one of the best pregnancy chiropractors in San Antonio. I went in around 20 weeks because my back was so bad I could barely walk. After 2 appointments my back was beter and I only had to go in once a month to maintain alignment after that. Because of this, I was able to remain active throughout the pregnancy. It made a huge difference A lot of chiropractors expect you to go in multiple days per week which is not doable for me. Once a month is great! Towards the end of the pregnancy it's every 2 weeks My only complaint is he will ask you questions while he's adjusting your back, kindof like a dentist will ask you questions with all their tools in your mouth. It's hard to talk while simultaneously being adjusted!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place! Dr. Shirley has forever changed my life completely. He is beyond just here to crack your bones but more to help you forever change the way you've been living!!

Negative experience: The adjustments were rough. I was very sore after each of my 3 visits. On my third adjustment, a rib got dislocated. He put it back in its place, but the area was sore for days. I asked about his philosophy, and his reply was "the less times you have to come in, the better." I'm accustomed to more gradual adjustments so the body has a chance to adapt. I did like the stretching exercises provided, and still do them. Everyone there was pleasant to work with. His style of chiropractic adjustment is just not good for my body.

Fantastic experience: Had my first appointment with Dr. Shirley and team today. He and his entire team greatly exceeded all my expectations. Dr. Shirley took his time explaining my treatment plan and all that i should expect. The team was so kind, professional and caring. I left my appointment feeling part of a family rather than just a patient. If you need chiropractic services look no further. This is the place you need to be.

Fantastic experience: Great overall experience! I highly recommend if you are experiencing pain! The staff is very polite and very knowledgeable. Dr. Shirley is very informative and takes the time to understand your needs. He is hands on and knows exactly where the pain is! I have been very pleased with the service!

Negative experience: The front staff were amazing, very sweet and got us seen and did the initial exam very quickly and efficiently. However, the "doctor" they have doesn't know what he's talking about. His behavior seemed professional to begin with but quickly deteriorated. He is ignorant of any of the illnesses he attempts to "treat". He told us that the way one patient walked created the scoliosis they suffer from, and that the way another patient walked can also create a condition commonly called being flat footed. Sorry, "Dr" there are a host of other actual doctors that disagree with you. He never asked for any x-rays, and said he didn't need them for his treatments. How can you treat something if you don't even know what the injury or issue looks like?? His treatment plans are ignorant at best. Please look elsewhere for reputable chiropractor treatment.

Fantastic experience: Came to visit family in San Antonio. The drive from Colorado wrecked my back. Dr. Shirley and staff were able to fit me in the schedule on short notice. What a great help and big change in my low back in 24 hrs. Massage in the afternoon and two adjustments the next day. I can walk again!

Fantastic experience: My two year old was waking up multiple times a night, never wanted to go to bed, worst sleeper ever! My friends all said go to a chiropractor, but I was skeptical. A toddler? No way! So I kept putting it off... Well finally in my sleep-deprived desperation, I booked an appointment. The night after the adjustment, she slept ALL NIGHT I'm not even kidding. The next day she fell asleep on her own in the living room before her bedtime, which never happens! So crazy. Been sleeping great at night for two weeks now. I'm a believer! Five stars!

Negative experience: My experience was pretty much a jiffy lube type of chiropractic Care. I had three appointments so sharing that experience as there was no point spending more money if I am not seeing much improvement. 1. No x-rays or sit down to explain what's going on and make any treatment plan hence jiffy lube type of a setup. Fast just get cracked and go. 2. I waited for almost 45 minutes on my second appointment and it took him total 10 minutes to get cracking done. He definitely told me that he was sorry for the inconveniences. I didn't feel much comfort after his adjustment. 3. This was again a waiting between 31-45 minutes. He told me that I should go to my medical doctor as well so I appreciate that comment from him. I don't think chiropractic adjustments were helping me or he can help me any further. Will I recommend him? Most likely to pregnent who are looking for chiropractic adjustments but not to anybody else. I saw that he has many patients who are pregnent so he should be good with their chiropractic needs...

Fantastic experience: At 36 weeks pregnant I didn't think I could make it being pregnant for another 4 weeks (or longer) due to terrible pelvic pain. I could barely walk without flinching. Dr Shirley was very professional and did a great job addressing my issue. 2 adjustments later and I could walk again. Highly recommend for any pregnant woman with pain.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Shirley and the entire staff at Advanced Care Back and Body are amazing. From the moment you walk in and are greeted by Veronica, you know you're in an office that truly cares. Dr. Shirley has adjusted my entire family. The massage therapist's are caring and just want to get you healthy and back out there functioning normally and feeling great. Jennifer, our favorite massage therapist, is no longer there, but America is and she is a strong, capable and competent therapist. Advanced Care Back and Body takes a whole body approach to health and wellness. So whether you're an athlete, have been involved in accident or just feel "off" Dr. Shirley and his staff will fix you up and have you feeling better in no time at all.

Negative experience: Well the care received was good. The Dr was willing to answer all questions and easy advice to understand. The problem I have is all the charges. Regardless of when the last visit was, 1 week or 6 months a new calendar year in January means new patient charges. You need to be re-evaluated every year. I told him I had just been there a few weeks ago. It didn't matter, a new calendar year means you're a new patient with new patient charges. Then once I had a knee adjustment - new charges. I asked about it and his response was "I had not adjusted you there before" I told him that wasn't true he HAD adjusted me there before. "Well it's been more than 3 months so I had to be re-evaluated". I'm sorry but I cannot afford all these charges (a yearly new patient and re-evaluations) with adjustments I've received before.

Fantastic experience: After six weeks of going to physical therapy with no relief, I quit. One trip to Dr. Shirley and a little snap, crackle, pop and I felt better instantly!

Fantastic experience: Haven't been been able to stop smiling since my appointment with Dr. Shirley. I've been to several chiropractors trying to get rid of my lower back pain. My mother insisted I make an appointment with Dr. Shirley, so much so that she called herself and had me scheduled for Wednesday. Sprained my ankle pretty severely the day before at practice. During the appointment, Dr. Shirley quickly noticed I was unable to put any pressure on my left foot and offered to take a look. After a few questions and stretches I could tell he knew where the issues were. After only a few minutes on the table I could feel some relief. Immediately upon standing, not only was I able to stand on my left foot, but I was able to tie my shoes without any pain or having to sit first. By Thursday afternoon, If not for some bruising, I would have been unable to tell which ankle suffered the sprain. All the pain and swelling was gone. Id had the pain for so long I just accepted it. It became natural and eventually I developed other ways of doing everyday tasks. I'm unable to fully express, in words, how satisfied I am with my whole experience. I'd recommend Dr. Shirley to anyone with back and or body pain.

Fantastic experience: After 6 unhelpful visits at another chiropractor, Shirley saved the day! At 30 weeks pregnant, it took only 2 visits to get me sleeping and walking without pain again. I think I might actually make it to birth now!

Fantastic experience: I am a first-timer to any kind of chiropractor and am also 32 weeks pregnant. Dr. was very thorough with his explanation on my treatment. Very personable and professional. I was very nervous, but Dr. Shirley and his staff assured me that I will get some relief! Carrying around extra weight with this pregnancy had my back and hips out of alignment. Went in and after treatment, immediately felt a difference. Highly recommended.
