Fantastic experience: After having severe GI issues for over a year, one hospital stay and headed back in, countless GI issues (including SIBO, internal bleeding, inability to eat, constant nausea, and difficulty breathing, trouble swallowing, malnourishment, etc), approx eight GIs told me my issues were anxiety/in my head. Finally, I found Dr Rahbar who immediately listened to and believed me. He immediately saw and realized the correlation of the GI issues triggering a bad case of MCAS, which was the cause of the severe breathing issues and developing allergies to every food or med I’d ingest. He broke treatment down into phases after thoroughly explaining myriad test results and what I was facing. He thoroughly explains the rationale behind each action he takes rather than just prescribing meds; he is working on getting my microbiome healthy. He prescribes supplements, in addition to meds, as well as offering nutritional guidance. He listens to how my specific body is reacting to each product we introduce and pivots when needed- he works with me like a team. He believes me and treats according what state I’m in as we introduce each new product or change dosage. He responds to concerns quickly and has made himself available despite his busy schedule. Andrea, who runs the main office couldn’t be more on top of her game. She also explains everything very thoroughly and doesn’t miss a beat. She has been a lifesaver when it comes to booking, working with me and my other health issues and appointments. Andrea has also been very kind and funny, and has been extraordinarily helpful. The entire staff is friendly and will always get a message through to the doctor when needed. I don’t say this lightly, but given how the state of my body and mind after a year of being severely ill and six months of feeling like I might die and living off of IVs, I truly don’t believe I would still be here without the efforts Dr Rahbar and staff have made to make me feel like a priority and address a multitude of complicated issues at once. I truly trust Dr Rahbar because I believe he truly cares and is highly intelligent and stays on top of the latest info. He’s been a true God-send. He is THE ONE if no one else can figure it out- I promise. I have been given reasonable expectations along the way; I’m still walking the long road to recovery but already, I am beyond grateful to have him as my doctor!

Fantastic experience: The office staff is great and Dr Rhabar identified my problem and I have seen rapid improvement. For years I have had a horrible non stop throat clearing thing that no one could figure out. After just a few weeks of the right treatment, it is 90% gone. Clearing up the problem has also given me better sleep, better digestion and better energy. I am very grateful!

Fantastic experience: Dr Rahbar has treated my daughter's GI issues for over 10 years starting when she was first diagnosed with Lyme in 2015. She is considered to be a complicated patient due to her chronic lyme condition but Dr Rabhar has always treated her with such kindness and compassion. In addition to being a brilliant Doctor, he always makes time for her in between appointments when necessary and you can tell he genuinely cares for his patients when they are suffering. Truly a gift and light of hope during a difficult journey. He is also supported by incredible staff going above and beyond to help his patients. Forever grateful to this wonderful, kind and caring man.

Fantastic experience: Dr Rahbar hands down is the best doctor i ever had in my life .

Negative experience: So i started seeing Dr Rahbar last year. Yes, he is expensive but no other doctor was able to help me out anyways so i tried giving him a try to see how it would go. His staff is great, andrea, kenneth and team does a great job of helping you out and your concerns. However, the real issue is still with the actual treatment. I was diagnosed with SIFO, Gerd and lyme and i was able to find a lyme doctor and get the treatment but issues with my small intestine and GERD still persist. My Gerd was TERRIBLE to the point i had trouble swallowing food but it was very difficult to get a prescription from Dr Rahbar which i hope he did early on and not wait as long as he did. Instead i spent 1000s of dollars on supplements which didn’t really help much and i was still in terrible pain and discomfort throughout. I’m not even entirely sure how much my candida and SIFO has improved because i’m still not to the point that i can eat wheat and dairy as normally as i used to, which as an indian was a staple of my diet until this sickness, and a lot of my symptoms still persist and as a last resort i’m going to go to india later this year to get treatment after spending excess of 12-13k which really stings. Heck, i’ve run out of space in my cabinet for another supplement bottle. I am saddened to admit that Dr Rahbar wasn’t able to help me as much as i had hoped for and that i have given up on his treatment now. Also i feel like my illness wasn't taken as seriously, Dr Rahbar would never come prepared for any appointment nor was I treated in a very humane manner. Edited after the response: I appreciate that Dr Rahbar personally took time out of his busy schedule to kindly reply to my review. I recall asking for tradiitonal therapy multiple times during my visits since the alternative therapy was never much effective and more costly. I have been doing everything i could on my end to overcome my issues many months before i started seeing Dr Rahbar. I came to him atleast 40% better all from my own efforts. All the hours and hours of studying that i had to do. Finding cases like mine and studying test cases and treatments. My Upper GI solutions ( to some extent ) i had to find on my own. The right dosages for my SIFO i had to figure out on my own, the right supplement combinations, supplement timings, the right doctor for my lyme treatment i had to find on my own ( there was no way i could have afforded the doctor that the practice suggested ). I try my very best to make every right choice every single day. I do not drink at all ( almost 3 years sober ), smoke ( never did ), i have given up so much on my food choices ( the ones that i grew up on which sucks ), i exercise everyday ( always did ), i have changed apartments, worked extremely hard throughout the suffering and managed to move to a low stress job and sooo much more and done everything i can on my own end to do what is necessary. My dissappointment is simply due to the fact that i do not believe Dr Rahbar put in that much effort for me. So many of my test results and especially my endoscopy report was never even discussed once. In terms of withholding treatment, i came to Dr Rahbar early april of 2023 and complained a lot about the fact that i am having a lot of upper GI symptoms and having trouble swallowing. It took Dr Rahbar over a month, at the end of may 2023 to prescribe me something and that too over the counter even after doing multiple tests and constant messaging that i’m in pain. I just personally feel abandoned throughout this process as i feel i did whatever i could but it was never a two way street as i still suffered throughout the process. The answer to most situations for me was “okay, let’s try this supplement bottle”. And i completely understand that the “Must Read” section saves the doctor from liability since that is of higher priority. :) Cordially and Respectfully, Paarth Sharma

Fantastic experience: I love working with Dr. Rahbar and his team. Like many others, I struggled to get a diagnosis for my symptoms, and I often felt like I wasn't being heard by several doctors. This was even more challenging because I was living overseas at the time. When I found Dr. Rahbar, it felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. Fantastic experience: My Son has been working with Dr. Rahbar since May 2024 and we are ecstatic with the care and protocol thus far. My son has been fighting CIRS and GI issues for 2 years, have gone to a plethora of doctors and have a folder 6 inches thick of tests, procedures and consultations. Fantastic experience: Dr Rahbar is the greatest Dr I’ve ever met. I was sick for about 2 years with horrible GI symptoms before I found him. Nausea, bloating, sick to my stomach, weight loss, couldn’t digest anything. I saw 4 GI Doctors who were clueless. Most told me it was IBS and would try and treat symptoms with prescription drugs. They made things worse. My first visit with Dr Rahbar he listened to my story and my symptoms and he told me exactly what he thought was going on with me. After some simple lab testing (urine sample ) the results proved his hypothesis correct. He then came up with a plan for me to fix my issues and within 1 year I was feeling much better. Now 2 years later and I am 95-100% all thanks to him. I don’t know where I would be without him.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Rahbar is hands down one of the best doctors out there! I've seen over 20 doctors and he's by far one of the most comprehensive and knowledgable MD's out there. He doesn't just try to fix the symptoms, but digs deep to understand and EXPLAIN clearly what he thinks the root cause is. I love that he understands herbs but also pharmaceuticals so he can come up with the right combinations that work. He is also humble and kind. Fantastic experience: This man saved my life. Where do I begin? After a year of being severely sick with gut issues, body fatigue and chronic dizziness feeling like I am about to die at 28 years old being told by 10 plus doctors we do not know what to do, "your labs and scans are normal", drink gatorade. Quickly, I knew something was terribly wrong and I needed to find the root cause of my illness that was ruining my everyday life. I found Dr. Rahbar who was able to diagnose me with candida overgrowth, parasite infection and specifically Lyme disease within the FIRST FOLLOW UP and referred me to a lyme specialist for an aggressive treatment. He says he is only a GI doctor but he is a wizard. THIS MAN IS ON A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL. There should be a documentary about him and he is an example of what a true doctor is finding the root cause to help heal the world. Furthermore, Andrea is the best as well! and a huge shout out to Kent and April for their amazing service. Their team is extremely professional and on point with everything. If you second guess consulting him and are debating good luck trying to heal/understand your "mysterious" illness with another doctor.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Rahbar is the best doctor there is, he has truly changed my life. I first saw him when I was very ill about 2.5 years ago. I had been going from doctor to doctor and no one knew what was going on. I luckily was referred to Dr. Rahbar. He has spent so much time with me to really get to know my background and my specific case. He was also the first doctor who has ever validated my experience which was more appreciated than he could know. Because of him, I was able to get my life back. I am always so surprised how he is staying on top of new research and studies, every time I see him, he mentions something new. He is a GI doctor but has been able to help me with my thyroid, hormones, and weight. He is not pushy and always met me where I was at and is extremely respectful. Fantastic experience: I was like you, once. Reading Dr. Rahbar's glowing reviews on Google and thinking "Is he really that good? It really worth the money?" Well, the answer is yes. After my very first session, Dr. Rahbar had a hypothesis as to what was causing my issue, and provided a holistic treatment plan that cured me within 6 weeks. (And I was having increasingly bad gut issues for 8 years before I went to him.) Because Dr. Rahbar takes an integrative approach (eastern + western) he is able to identify problems that are not yet "accepted" by the greater medical community. I went to several (smart!) MDs, gastros, and nutritionists before, and they could not help. I highly recommend Dr. Rahbar and his practice to anyone with persistent gastro and digestive issues.

Fantastic experience: Dr Rahbar saved my life. I had chronic stomach issues for years, it was so bad I went to the ER 5 times because I thought I had a heart attack. I went to the best doctors all around the world and they couldn’t figure it out. Finally I saw Dr Rahbar and after some comprehensive tests we figured out the issue , I simply took some antibiotics and haven’t had any issues in years.

Fantastic experience: I visited Dr. Rahbar after having several GI and non GI complications over the years. On my first visit I was surprised how attentive his staff and Dr. Rahbar were to my needs. My initial visit when on for 2 hours as Dr. Rahbar asked detailed questions about my medical and personal history. It spoke to his holistic approach to find deeper issues that were affecting me which no other doctor had asked before. Living overseas also draws on new complications and treatment options (medicine, visits, etc.), however, he has worked with telemedicine before covid (amazing). After several lab tests, I walked away with a newfound sense of relief and resolve to find my root cause for my issues. Highly recommended!

It’s very refreshing to meet with a doctor who listens intently, asks a lot of questions, and offers encouragement and recommendations. No wonder I was having so many issues! I had been to countless doctors who only diagnosed me with IBS - and did very little testing. I had a colonoscopy and was tested for celiac, both showing negative results for anything. Fantastic experience: Last year, I had horrible GERD and wasn't absorbing anything I ate. I was losing a pound a week no matter what I ate. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Rahbar as a last ditch effort. The doctor diagnosed me with SIBO, prescribed what I needed to restore health to my gut and kill the infection, and over the next couple of months I got drastically better. At this point, I no longer have GERD and can digest almost anything, other than a few certain carbs. Thanks Dr. Rahbar!

Fantastic experience: Dr Rahbar is the best doctor I've seen. It took me 8 years to find him, and I had given up. Dr Rahbar listened to me and took my symptoms seriously whereas many previous doctors attributed what I was feeling to stress or something I had even created. He figured out a big piece of the puzzle pretty much immediately getting to the core of the problem rather than just addressing symptoms. His treatment plan for Lyme supported my immune system, and he went slow rather than just going in and killing. I think that's why I've remained functioning throughout whereas I've had friends whose doctors were too aggressive with this just crash. We uncovered the other piece of my chronic illness yesterday and have a great game plan to get me well. Fantastic experience: Dr. Rahbar is an extremely caring and knowledgeable doctor regarding for GI and total body health. I started seeing Dr. Rahbar in 2013 when I weighed 83 lbs. and on TPN due to GI issues, reflux, nausea and stomach pain. I had just been released from Cedars Sinai after 12 days with no diagnosis or solution to my symptoms and very concerned about my condition. I was only on TPN for two months then started eating slowly again to regain my weight. I have always struggled with anxiety which has contributed to my stomach issues. I have a very sensitive system and unable to tolerate many supplements/medications making my case more challenging. Dr. Rahbar takes the necessary time during each appointment to listen and discuss all options of care. I have never felt rushed or dismissed and have seen many doctors. Although Dr. Rahbar is out of my insurance network plan he is worth the investment for better health. I am thankful to have found Dr. Rahbar and his care team.

Fantastic experience: I have found Dr Rahbar through an internet search, 6 years after suffering with gut issues that no-one could diagnose. Dr Rahbar gave me a good diagnostic right away, I was so relieved that finally I had answers & my body reacted to the treatment right away. Dr Rahbar is the only doctor, out of all the doctors that I’ve seen from around the globe, that actually gets what is going on with me. I now have a collection of chronic illnesses, the type that are very hard to spot, and each one of them was rightfully diagnosed by Dr Rahbar. He is always up to date with the latest medical discoveries & gives me a lot of information to research, so that I completely understand what is going on. He never stopped treating me, even when I moved back to Europe. He helps me get medicine that is not available in Europe, he sends me test kits that are not available in Europe & when needed, he has recommended other specialists in Europe (for my Lyme disease). It feels like when there is nothing other doctors can recommend or diagnose, Dr Rahbar always has an answer that makes sense. I cannot stress how encouraging that is, considering that most other doctors have just told me that I must be making things up, that it’s all in my mind. Dealing with chronic illness is very tough on doctors because not one patient is the same as the other, what works for one may not work for the other, there is a lot of trial & error & disappointment. Therefore many doctors give up easily & don’t like to have their record brought down by patients who are not fixable. I heard that Mayo clinic recently decided not to take on Lyme or MCAS patients (can’t remember exactly which) because they mess up their positive record. Fantastic experience: I've searched for the last fourteen years to find someone like Dr. Rahbar. He is easily the greatest doctor and one of the most compassionate human beings I have ever met. Throughout my 20-year journey to figure out my mysterious health issues, I saw over 70 doctors/healers/health practitioners, I tried every alternative modality I could find, spent tens of thousands of dollars, and even journeyed to the Amazon jungle to work with shamans - All to no avail. In November of 2014, I discovered Dr. Rahbar and all of his glowing reviews on yelp. In my initial appointment, he thought he already knew the root cause of my health issues. The numerous tests I took over the next few weeks confirmed his intuition: Chronic Lyme. If you have strange, seemingly unconnected symptoms like joint/body pain, gut issues, neurological issues (memory/insomnia/ADD/Anxiety/Depression/Rage/Brain Fog), or if you've been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia/Lupus/MS - please look into seeing someone lyme literate (not your GP) who will run the proper tests. While Dr. Rahbar doesn't directly treat Lyme, he can treat some of the common issues that accompany lyme, as well as help guide your next step. And if you don't have lyme (I'm happy for you), then you have the luxury of seeing him for all of your health needs. Dr. Rahbar is the Richard Castle (or Jessica Fletcher if you're older) of chronic illness. He is a health detective. He investigates with an open mind all the numerous health possibilities before diagnosing. He is incredibly kind, calm, and completely focused on whoever sits in front of him. His presence itself is very healing. He also doesn't watch the clock, thus enabling you the space to be heard and freedom to be healed. I haven't found another Dr. Rahbar, and I'm not sure I will. And while I could write so much more, I'll just say thank you. I'm eternally grateful.
