Negative experience: Would have been really nice had they told me before I got there my co pay would be $150. I was embarrassed in front of a room full of people that I couldn’t pay and the office staff made me feel like a piece of garbage because of it. Worst possible “care” they could have given.

Positive experience: Just want to say that Oakview is by far the best primary care facility for individuals and families in the Upstate Samantha is the best and smartest PA I have ever had and she definitely takes good care of her patients and always listen to what you have to say first. Michelle is the best phlebotomy technician because even if you don't drink enough water she will still find a vein and all this is led by Dr. Bijoor who has been my Dr.for 7 plus years She the best !!!! The young ladies who run the front desk are very polite and always try to get you a same day appointment especially Donna she always answers and always calls back she's my go to because she can make it happen and Carmon and Shikha they follow suit as well just a great team all around Miranda,Damian, and Abigail are the top 3 Medical Assistants at Oakview All together they are the perfect team

Negative experience: I recently visited your clinic/hospital and I regret to say that my experience was extremely disappointing. I believe it is important to provide feedback to improve the services offered to future patients. Key Issues: 1. Lack of Patient Care: During my consultation/treatment, I felt that there was minimal concern for my actual health issues. I was rushed through the process, and my questions or concerns were not addressed with the thoroughness I expected. 2. Focus on Financials Over Patient Needs: It appeared that the main focus was on financial aspects rather than understanding and treating the patient’s condition. 3. Lack of Communication: I felt that the communication from the staff and doctors was inadequate. If possible avoid this provider for your better health.

Fantastic experience: I needed to find a PCP after moving to SC but it was so difficult to get in anywhere until I came across Oak View. The staff is so incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming. Carmen, the front office staff, is possibly one of the sweetest people I have ever met and I had Sam as my PA and she took her time to GENUINELY listen and understand where I was coming from regarding my concerns. I can't say enough good things about Oak View. I will be sticking with this amazing practice for a very long while! Thanks, Oak View!

Positive experience: The medical providers here were very good. However, the office staff have billed me for charges they cannot account for. I have asked for a breakdown of charges to my account four times. I have been told they will provide but they never do. In the meantime, they have charged my card a significant amount without any indication of what the charge was for. I will now need to dispute this with the credit card company. This is not the way a medical practice should operate.

Dr.Bijoor is extremely knowledgeable, she really knows about the newest developments and guidelines in medicine and pharmaceuticals. She is professional but yet very warm and caring, which you do not get often. She took care of my terminal ill mother and my elderly mom had the uttermost respect and confidence in Dr.Bijoor. As a matter of fact, Dr.Bijoor diagnosed her accurately with her terminal illness and let us come to see her in the office after hours after she received the lab results. She talked with mom and us in such an empathetic manner about what to expect and what the next plan of action would be,- which I will never forget and for which I will be forever grateful. I also always so much appreciated the prompt attention and care we received from Dr.Bijoor and her office when my son or I got sick with the flu or Covid or whatever urgent problem we had. I know many physicians but I also know that Dr.Bijoor is exceptional! We truly highly recommend her!! Thank you Dr.Bijoor for all what you have done for us!!

Negative experience: Might have good doctors but I don’t know since on my first appointment I waited 90 minutes after my scheduled time before I finally left. When I told them I was leaving they asked if I wanted to reschedule. Never said sorry for the inconvenience. Will never go back.

Negative experience: This practice schedules appointments before the office even opens. What? You open at 8:30, but my appointment is 8:20? And I’m asked to show up 25 minutes early? How? No one comes to the building until 8:30, so even if that is your appointment time, you still have to wait for office staff to get their coffee and boot up their computers before you can even check in. Not to mention, providers are waiting outside for office staff to open the doors. Again… WHAT??? They also no longer have online bill pay. You take payment to the office or mail your handwritten financial information. No thanks. And the almost daily texts to join their aesthetic services….again, no. Moving on….

Negative experience: I have been seen at Oakview Medical Associates for nearly three years. I have always given them high reviews; however, as I have been before, I’m left very disappointed with the treatment handed down by certain providers at this location. During my post surgery assessment, I was informed that my vitamin D was very low. Again after surgery I was informed that my vitamin D was way too low. After 4 calls to Oakview, my assigned physician (Stephanie) refused to address me and would only respond via the receptionist by saying, “It was fine at his previous appointment.” This behavior has happened on numerous occasions, but not wanting to relocate, I would fall for their fake kindness, in asking me not to leave. This time I have had enough. I have a bone disease which has led to many surgeries; therefore, maintaining adequate vitamin D is crucial. The prescription they are providing is not working; nevertheless, it has proven to be of no concern to Miss Stephanie. Against my wishes, I have decided to leave this group. If you are considering this practice, hopefully they will treat you better than they have treated me.

Fantastic experience: I had my first laser hair treatment with Dr. Bijoor. The entire experience was great. I’ve had laser at several other places and some of them were pretty painful. The laser she uses is totally painless. The most I felt was an occasional warm sensation. Dr. Bijoor wants all of her patients to feel beautiful in their own skin and she does everything she can to help you achieve that

Fantastic experience: Dr Bijoor did my lip fillers today and she did an amazing job! She is so precise to make sure the perfect amount goes into the right spots for the best look. I loved that she moved me around to look at my lips from all angles - she cares so much about the look you want. She listened to what I wanted for my lips and did exactly that. I love them already and can’t wait to see in a few days! Thank you so much Dr Bijoor and her team.

Negative experience: Only reason I give a one star is because front desk girls are always pleasant. Other than that I strongly recommend anywhere else. I came in for my quarterly visit and they refused to see me because of a singe previous charge I wanted to dispute. They charged me for an x ray that I refused to take multiple times. It was a simple scrape on my leg and I’m self pay so I said that I didn’t understand why it was necessary. I payed for 4 visits that month which was over $700. I’ve always payed up front. And because of this one charge of $200 they refused to see me. I never even got a result for the x- ray almost 4 months later just because I requested it. First thing that I noticed that was weird was that they make you take a drug test before every visit. I’ve seen a doctor atleast once every three months for checkups and have never been drug tested for normal visits. And you have to pay for it so it’s an extra charge. They had no care at all that I’ve been without the medications I they prescribed me for. They refused to refill prescriptions they prescribed me when I was willing to pay upfront for the visit. But simply had an issue with an X- ray that I said no to 4 times but they insisted until I finally allowed it. The result of the x- ray was not ever given to me until I asked for it. Which means it obviously was not necessary. Horrible display if any type of customer service or empathy. They’ve also had me drive around town multiple times because of not sending prescriptions to the right place. Went to Prism Health right down the road and the were more than welcoming and got me in same day. Once again I am self pay and have always payed for my visits upfront. I was obviously okay with paying for my visit today upfront. I have a $200 charge on my account for and x-ray that I didn’t want taken. I told them today I was willing to pay it but only had $150 on me. So they’re refusing to see me and fill the prescriptions that I desperately need.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Bijoor is by far the best cosmetic clinician that I have ever been to. I received a dermal filler from her today, and her technique was flawless. She took 10 years from my appearance in less than 30 minutes!! She is also my go-to for all skin care, including Botox. I can not recommend her enough!

Fantastic experience: I was urgently searching for a new doctor for my fiance because her current doctor hasn't really seemed to listen or do much about her health concerns. I found Oakview as a second opinion and we even booked a same day appointment. I must say that this place is extremely professional, listened to all of our concerns, and even started some testing there on site while we were there and scheduled several appointments to all be completed in less than a month. This team is on it and knows what they are doing. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr Bijour for 6 years after my Dr retired. I have seen her go out of her way to help myself, family n friends. I have seen her take time after hours and plead with a young man to get some physical and mental health. Being a Pastor you refer a lot of tough circumstances to others. She has accepted every challenge and recently helped my 87 year old mother she had never met be referred to a specialist. My Mom stated I didn’t know we had Drs like that anymore! Negative experience: I am completely disappointed in the level of treatment I received at this facility. To begin: I came to this practice with the intention of seeing Dr. Bijoor. I made the initial appointment and was excited to get a PCP in the area. The reviews were great, so when I went to my first appointment, I was happy to finally get some answers. When I arrived at the first appointment, the staff were friendly and everyone had on their masks. When it was time to take me back, I was pleased because it didn’t take too long. When the doctor finally came back to see me, I was super bummed to find that it was a different doctor that would be seeing me. I decided to not make a big deal of it, as he was helpful and ordered tests for me to see what the problem was going on. After the visit, a follow up appointment and labs were scheduled. When I came back for the labs appointment, I made sure to ask the receptionist (I think her name was Katie or Christy) to confirm that my next appointment was with Dr. Bijoor. She stated that Dr. Bijoor was out of town when my appointment was scheduled. She then told me that she would be back in the office the following week. (This would now put my appointment out to about 1.5month since first appointment). I explained that this was fine and rescheduled the appointment with Dr. Bijoor. I even called and confirmed TWICE (once, two weeks out, and second, one week out) that the appointment would be with her. The day of my appointment, you can imagine how disappointed and irritated I was to show up for said appointment, only to find out that halfway through, Dr. Bijoor would not be the physician I was seeing that day. After waiting an entire month for an appointment that I confirmed twice would be with my selected provider, I was told that “Dr. Bijoor must’ve switched the appointment from her schedule to mine last minute and that’s something I don’t have control over” by the other provider. To be clear: the one star review is for Dr. Bijoor, herself. How unprofessional and tactless it is to move an appointment someone scheduled not once with you but twice at the last minute! I have lost complete respect for you because of this and will be looking for another pcp in the area. I am appalled that someone who was given such glowing praise from others can just brush off new patients so effortlessly without a second thought. To be clearer, I did voice my concerns to the office staff, the attending doctor who was present at my appointment, and the PA that came in as well. I never once heard from Dr. Bijoor, and that’s telling to a new patient of the facility. I was pleased with the professionalism of the other staff involved. Everyone that I have met at the facility has been kind, accommodating, and understanding. Thank you, to the other provider involved, that took the time to listen to my concerns and run the labs. I greatly appreciate your time and your staff’s time. Conclusively, I wouldn’t recommend this practice to anyone because of the lack of professionalism of Dr. Bijoor. When you go to the doctor, you expect that the people that will be working with you are dependable, and in this case, I can’t say that’s true.

Fantastic experience: I can not tell you what a change this has made in my life. I have lost 25 pounds in 2 months. This is more than just a 'plan', this is learning to honor yourself and practicing mindfullness to keep yourself accountable. You can do this. I made 20 years of excuses. I finally have my life back. I have 50 pounds to go but for the first time in 20 years, I know I am back to me and I'm not looking back. Thank you Dr. Bijoor. You are amazing and helped me and my sister reclaim our bodies and mind and spirit.

Negative experience: I don't see how you suppose to take care of people and you push them away for $3.30 I will be finding another doctor.

Fantastic experience: I am beyond grateful for all of the help in my journey that Dr. Bijoor and Bonnie have given to me. My mom originally gave me Dr. Bijoor name when I was looking to change my primary doctor. I originally came to Dr. Bijoor just for normal check ups to go in alignment with my infertility journey. I came to see Dr. Bijoor and advised her of infertility journey and how my obgyn has basically advised there isn't anything they can do unless I drop some of my weight. Dr. Bijoor did not hesitate in immediately setting me up on her body by bijoor program with her and Bonnie(nutritionist/fitness coach/mental coach). I visit weekly with Bonnie and every 4 weeks Dr. Bijoor for my weight loss journey. I started my journey 13 weeks ago and today at weigh in I am officially 31lbs down. I still have a good ways to go, but honestly know I would not have been able to do this without these two. Forever grateful .

Fantastic experience: I started seeing Dr. Bijoor as my primary care physician. I realized soon after she also did aesthetics. I was so impressed with her knowledge and care. Negative experience: I just moved here from Charlotte NC and came here because of the great reviews. If you are younger and have a disability, as well as just moving to South Carolina, DO NOT GO HERE!! I am absolutely appalled with the lack of professionalism at this office. I am on certain medications that were given and approved by my primary, neurologist, and cardiologist and when the nurse walked out my room she instantly went and started talking trash about them with the doctor calling me drug seeking and saying no doctor would prescribe those meds for my disability. I will report them to every single site that I can. no one should have to do with that. I’ve noticed since moving here that I haven’t found one doctor that has knowledge on my disability which is sad because it’s very common. I will die without my meds. South Carolina and oakview medical, educate yourselves, doctors, and nurses. Learn bedside manner. Don’t judge a patient that just moved here looking for a new doctor. You make the person feel horrible and helpless!!OH AND WHEN I CALLED TO TELL THEM BECAUSE OF WHAT HAPPENED I NO LONGER GIVE THEM CONSENT TO MY MEDICAL RECORDS, THE PERSON WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE SAID “OOOOOKAYYYY.....” attitude and no care in the world.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Bijoor for the past 3.5 years. I love her and have utmost respect for her for the way she cares for a patient. Fantastic experience: Dr. Bijoor is a rare find for a physician. She and her team, have tremendous knowledge in the medical field and with that provides genuine, holistic, and conscious medical care. They have helped me with lifestyle changes that have allowed me to continue to get back in shape and also some minor cosmetic procedures. Like most healthcare providers Oakview’s objective is to solve your medical problem. Unlike other providers, Dr. Bijoor and her team work in the best interest of their patients and does not work for the best interests of third party companies or Big Pharma. They don’t just diagnose, they educate. That was absolutely apparent to me when I first went to see Dr. Bijoor. This was the first time a provider actually sat down and explained what’s going on and talked through multiple options in order to solve my medical problem. Whether you and your family want the best staff to care for you through routine checkups and Illnesses, or your looking for body transformation help. (weight loss, cosmetic, acne treatments, etc) Dr. Bijoor and Oakview medical associates should be top of your list to call.

Negative experience: Called to try and see Stark because I have been sick for over a month. I’m thinking its pneumonia but was told that Dr Bijoor said I should go to the hospital if I can’t breathe. I haven’t ever met nor seen Dr Bijoor! No one but the receptionist even talked to me or listened to my symptoms. Great so now I get to get a $500+ bill and a take up emergency services without even seeing my regular doctor!! Yeah you really care about your patients when you let the receptionist just push them off to the hospital!!

Negative experience: I tried for quite a while to give this practice the benefit of the doubt based on the reviews and the interaction I had with the staff. After realizing nothing was going to change, I am switching to a new provider. I know my experience goes opposite the reviews but it was my experience. The office is nice, the staff is friendly the Nurse Practioner is great. The problem I ran into was the doctor. We don’t need to get into specifics but as someone else mentioned, getting to see or even talk to the doctor did not happen ONCE. Even after I had two ultrasounds for pain (very unusual for me) I heard NOTHING from the doc until I followed up. Refused to even get on the phone with me. Who does that? I’m not a high maintenance patient by any stretch. I go to the doctor when sick and for checkups and I’m reasonably healthy. I just wanted information and that was not provided. Even after I told them how unhappy I was, no one called me. I was already going to leave but found out they will now not do a wellness visit without an office visit PRIOR to blood work being done. Seems like double billing to me but maybe there is an explanation. The person I spoke to on the phone seemed very uncomfortable about it also, at least the office staff cares!

Positive experience: Very knowledgeable! My experience has been very satisfactory! Would recommend this practice ! Love Dr. Bijoor and Michelle Starks. My 95 year old mother also uses the practice and they are very thoughtful and kind to her! Very caring and efficient!

Fantastic experience: I had a physical back in December and was a little nervous. Because it has been so long since I had one. The staff was so welcoming and made me feel at ease. The NP Michelle was so straight forward and knowledgeable . Answered every question with enthusiasm and the sense that she really cared about my well being. I've been to other physicians and they treated me like a number. Michelle made it comfortable to talk about my weight and how she could help me. She has encouraged me to do a weight loss program. I am so happy that I lost 17 lbs since my physical. I changed my diet and I can't thank her enough for her encouraging me. So glad I came to Oakview!!

Fantastic experience: Where do I start? I came to Dr. Bijoor as my last hope in regaining control of my life and my body. I started her Body by Bijoor program and in one month I am down 30lbs! She and her staff make you feel like you can do anything and they are there to support you every step of the way. It’s the little things like receiving a hug from Dr. Bijoor after your weekly weigh in to tell you how proud she is! This program is easy to follow and the results speak for themselves.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Oakview Medical Associates for roughly eight years, and I can honestly say that ALL doctor's offices should be this way. FPN Michelle Starks is an OUTSTANDING medical professional; approachable, willing to answer any/all questions, courteous, and accurate in her assessment of ailments. I am ALWAYS seen within five minutes of my scheduled appointment time (a HUGE plus even with appointments made on the same day), and the entire office staff is friendly and also always ready with answers.

Fantastic experience: My college girl & I searched for a primary care doc for her when she left the pediatricians office and really lucked out finding Michelle Starks, NP at this office. She is super knowledgeable, & has a quick response to requests for appointments and needed prescriptions. But more than that, she is a caring, listening practitioner. Over the past couple of years, we have gotten to know Michelle, as she is our main caretaker, and she is the perfect match with Dr. Bijoor. Together, they are the most trusted team that has cared for my family. We lost one of our sons last year and Michelle has treated us all with the utmost compassion. Fantastic experience: I came in sick a few months back and was seen by NP Michelle Starks. I initially came in to be seen quickly because I was sick. I’ve now made her my regular doctor! She’s always extremely understanding, allows me to voice my opinions and gets me in and out with quality care! My family will continue to see her. Its always nice to feel comfortable and like someone makes time for you, instead of rushing you out the door.

Fantastic experience: What a nice experience at Oakview Medical! I didn’t have an appointment but needed seen the staff was efficient and professional and got me right in to see NP Michelle Starks. Mrs. Starks was attentive and listened to my concerns. Even though I didn’t have an appointment she didn’t make me feel rushed and I didn’t feel like she was rushed either to make sure I was taken care of. Nice to have a doctor that is concerned enough about their patients to take time to listen and see them even when I wasn’t scheduled!

Fantastic experience: On my 43rd birthday I was currently weighing in at 191 pounds. Just short of 4 years ago before my 3rd child was born and I was 165 or less on average. Everything I did with before and after kids #1 and #2 was no longer working, I was frustrated. I knew how to cook all fresh, homecooked meals, count my calories, etc. Before kids I was around 190 pounds and I told myself in 2006, I was done. Doing the following worked. I limited the fats, sweets, carbs, counted my calories. Drank mainly water and herbal tea no sugar, no caffeine. Average dinners were ½ a chicken breast, fresh steamed, grilled or roasted vegetables and about ¼ of a cup of grain. The kids still think potatoes are a treat in our house. I would fast from 8 pm till about noon 5 days a week. Breakfast was not my thing anyway. I would have a small lunch of fruits and veggies, nuts and a One Protein bar. I hardly ever ate out. Gym 4-5 days a week, with cardio for about 30 mins and strength for another 30+ minutes. Before my first child, I was around 165 before pregnancy. Had child #1, lost the weight again, everything above still worked. Had child #2 knee issue propped up, still lost the weight. Things were great! In the summer of 2015, I had my 3rd and final child, and ended up around 185-190. Everything that worked after each child, no longer worked. I tried more food, less food, more protein, less protein, more fruits & veggies, less fruits and veggies, nothing worked. If I stuck to my plan I only lost 2-3 pounds, and then it would come right back. Every 6 months or so due to frustration I would change it up to find the secret mix, nothing was working. After 3-4 years of this, I would give in and just eat for a month or so no dieting, and funny thing I would not really gain weight either. This was one of my biggest frustrations, all this work and for what, nothing that I could show. I still kept up with the gym throughout all my diet experiments, as I find I enjoy the after gym and its part of keeping the knee issues at bay. Just before my 43rd birthday after talking to a doctor who wanted to put me on cholesterol medications due to my number creeping up, I wanted help. I knew in the past my cholesterol goes down when I loose the weight. I was back in 2006 all over again. My prior general practice doctor, told me he wanted me on medication and that the weight issues was just part of being older. I knew I was not going to get the help I needed there. After speaking with others in the area, I decided to set up an appointment with Oakview Medical and Dr. Nita Bijoor. At our 1st appointment I was nervous, hoping it was not another “you are over 40 and getting old”. To my surprise, Dr Bijoor listened to me. She listened to all my frustrations. I did not need a gym, or a way to increase my willpower to stick to a plan, it was something out of my control. She recommended me to her Body by Bijoor program, with some personal adjustments. It was a combination of vitamins, supplements, medications, food elimination, strength training, and mindfulness. This was an easy yes for me, I do a lot of this anyway. My trusty plan which worked till 2015 was altered just slightly, nothing really different then I was already doing in the last 4 years. The key was the medication, vitamins and food elimination. Per Dr. Bijoor my issue at this age was cellular as fat cells etc get lazy. My cells needed a wake up call. After month 2 of working with her, I am already at 169 and still working to get back below my target weight of 160. I actually look forward to my weekly meetings for weigh-ins and working on strength training. Everyone knows who I am and keeps encouraging me on the way. This was one of the best birthday presents I could of asked for.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Dr Bijoor for at least 10 years, her office is a teaching facility, so I have seen a few different Nurse Practitioners but I have always gotten great service from the whole staff. Dr Bijoor always takes the time to sit down and talk to me about my health issues, so that I understand. I would definitely recommend her. She really cares about her patients.

In my search for a new physician, I followed up with Dr. Bijoor to discover if she “walked the walk.” I concluded that her actions match her words. She has created a healthy practice, patient-centered with an honest and wholistic approach. Dr. Bijoor’s unique attitude toward healthcare is refreshing and deeply needed in our world. I am so grateful that the stars aligned for me to meet this incredible healer in our community. Dr. Bijoor’s practice is a strong example of what we need in healthcare today.

Fantastic experience: Being terminally ill, I spend a lot of time in doctor’s offices. Dr Bijoor has taken care of me for over 9 years and has always helped me with issues from my disease. I’ve always been treated in a manner that makes me feel like she genuinely cares about me and my health. That’s rare in my experiences at multiple doctors offices.

Fantastic experience: I’ve always been very pleased with them. Great staff that has always got me in on time and seen in a timely fashion. Today I had some warts on my feet removed. I knew it was gonna hurt. Didn’t numb it and I didn’t even feel her cutting. I am very satisfied and can’t wait to walk with no pains again.

Negative experience: Horrible. She use to be a real Doctor... Kind compassionate..listened..and cared. Now she doesn't care about you as a person or patient. I think she is too much in the other junk she has going on. Use to love her but now she doesn't deserve 1 star. She does not care . Don't go here. Staff changes constantly. A revolving door.
