Positive experience: I had my procedure 13 months ago, and overall, I am grateful for the results. I definitely look smaller and feel more confident in my appearance. During my 3-month follow-up, I mentioned that part of my abdomen appeared uneven. The staff reassured me not to worry, explaining that my body wasn't symmetrical to begin with, which was one of the reasons I sought the surgery. While I appreciate the progress I’ve made, I still notice a discrepancy in how both sides of my abdomen appear. To address this and to refine my results, I have sought a consultation at a different liposuction establishment for additional work on my abdomen and three other areas. In summary, I am pleased with my overall results but desire a more even look when I view myself in the mirror. I encourage anyone considering similar procedures to be attentive to their concerns and seek further consultation if needed.

Fantastic experience: At first, I was nervous about my procedure, but everything turned out great. The healing process (arms & knees) was much easier than I was expecting. Dr Caton called me the next day to check on me. I also received a call on day 2 from one of the nurses wanting to see how I was doing. They have done a great job at making sure I was comfortable & well cared for, post-op.

Fantastic experience: I had lipo suction 6 months ago at an advanced age. What it did for me was to help me look better in my clothes. No middle spare tire and a waist line that I didn't have before.

Negative experience: I got work done at Sono Bello and it’s been the worst decision of my life. I’m in constant pain every day since I had the surgery and my concerns just get brushed away. I can’t even massage the areas I got surgery on because just touching my skin is painful. You start off by seeing a consultant (Shaab) that pressures you into having the surgery and makes you pay a non-refundable deposit so if you change your mind you won’t get your money back. You don’t even see the surgeon until after you’ve paid. You would think it should be the other way around - you see the surgeon to make sure you qualify for the surgery before paying thousands of dollars (over $20,000 for what I had done) I’ve had 4-5 people that I’ve scared out of going to Sono Bello because they’ve seen how bad it’s been for me. Would never recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: We were there for the consultation for my wife but Shab was very thorough in explaining the process of the procedure and also breaking down the cost, she made my wife feel a lot more comfortable about all of it by the end of the consultation! Thanks again!

I was expecting much more pain, but have had very little just feels like being sore after a heavy workout. Would do it again without a second thought. Fantastic experience: I had a consultation at Sono Bello to discuss a procedure that would be less invasive than a tummy tuck. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. The consultation was with Yvette and she explained the procedures very throughly and was very patient in answering all of my questions. Then she looked at my abdomen and waist. She explained that because of my muscle needs that their Lipo suction procedures would not accomplish my goals, reachable only by a full tummy tuck. I so appreciated her honesty, and not pushing something that wasn’t going to be successful. A very positive experience all the way around.

Fantastic experience: My initial meeting began in Eugene with two of the loveliest ladies. I was advised of every possible detail & decided to move to the next steps; pre-op & then the procedure in Portland the following week. Again details flowed in a clear, concise manner with a delightful staff at the front counter. The ladies obviously enjoyed their positions with SonoBello & were friendly, smiling & well-versed in every detail. Not all of the chat was strictly business. It was warm & complimentary putting me at complete ease. Then I met my nurse that would guide me through my procedure & answered all of my questions, many before I asked. My doctor/surgeon then met with me to finish explaining specifics about my particular procedure. He made sure I knew exactly what would happen, double checked for questions & strong eye contact put me at ease. The next day, I met the nurse that set up my meds & then on to my surgical nurse & the surgery room. I was made very comfortable & had each step explained again. Music played & Dr Malin came in, visited with me & performed each step while we visited about a variety of subjects including what he was doing & the “how & why”. At the end I can say, in all honestly, this was the easiest, least painful, wide awake, body contouring procedure I could have imagined. Granted each person, male or female, is different but the end result (even after 3 days so far) is the best decision I could have made. Research confirmed SonoBello is the best facility for me, as well. I’m thrilled so far & can hardly wait for my final destination. I believe I made a couple lifelong friends, too!

Positive experience: My wife and I had lipo suction. As far as myself? Every checkup visit has nice nurses. Haven’t gotten the result desired yet. Met them about it and they plan to try it again in September. Hoping for the best. As for my wife, same story, work in progress, hoping for the best. I’ll repost the results in the fall.

Fantastic experience: Shab was amazing with my initial appointment. She was clear, concise and realistic about what would happen. I immediately scheduled my procedure before leaving the building. Dr. Kane and my nurse Stephanie were amazing. Dr. Kane called me from her personal phone on my first post-op day which I greatly appreciated. I am post-op day 3 and have been able return to work remotely. I still have some swelling and pain but have managed it without any narcotics. I don't know who is going to work the day after the procedure. lol! I suppose it is whta you ahve done. I personally had four areas done. As a 30+ year RN, they have exceeded my expectations. I can already see how my body has changed despite the swelling. Highly recommend. Update. I’m 3 months post op and my opinion hasn’t changed. They’re the real deal and I love my results.

Fantastic experience: When I went to my pre op appt the nurse and provider took plenty of time explaining the procedure, verbally and physically showing me what to expect pre and post procedure. They answered all my questions. My procedure went as expected and I’m pleased with how I’m feeling and healing 1 wk post op. The staff that I’ve had the opportunity to meet so far have been so friendly and helpful I look forward to my next appt!

Fantastic experience: The staff was very nice and professional. Greeted me right away with a, "Hello and Welcome to Sono Bello." Upon meeting with one of their Patient Care Consultants, she shared with me that the type of procedures they can provide are NOT going to help with my particular issue: More permanent weight loss through a gastric bypass, "sleeve" or bariatric procedure. Sono Bello removes the subcutaneous, "squishy" fat at the surface, not the deeper "beer belly" layers. Given that, I thanked the consultant and my visit with them was complete.

Negative experience: Please be cautious of where you go to do surgery, and look at the results. I really do feel that my procedure was rushed through and am dissatisfied with the results thus far. I see virtually NO difference in certain areas… I had a total of 600cc of fat removed from 3 different areas which was not enough to reduce the fat 80-90% as promised. I should have been much more cautious and looked at the results of others before making my decision. I’ve been told to wait until 6 months post-op to really determine my results and to start the discussion of revision but I have had other procedures done in which despite swelling, I could see the difference. This is very disheartening because I made an investment with an understanding that I would receive the results promised to me during my consultation, and I know for sure that I have to go through this healing process all over again. I feel as though doctors sometimes may forget how much trust their patients are putting into them, as they do surgeries day in and day out. I also did not appreciate not being able to meet my doctor until the day before my surgery. Other than this, the nursing and reception staff are very kind and professional, I am very appreciative for them.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with my results, I am only a week out, however I have had a very good experience every time I have come in. The surgery itself was done professionally with care and constantly asking if I was ok. The after care was also amazing as well, phone calls to verify I was doing well, if I was comfortable and had any questions. At my one week check -up the nurse was through and went over expectations and care tips. The staff, Doctor Kang and Nurse Cherie have been phenomenal.now at 4 months I am absolutely happy with my results!!

However she didn't stop there. She called one of the doctors and they made recommendations of surgeons who would be a better fit. Negative experience: Everything up to surgery was great! Front desk is frendly. The nurses were amazing. I dont know how the doc did because whatever meds they gave me before i went in knocked me out and i can only remeber a few minutes of the surgery (not mad at that) However, the Dimond Plus recovery package is the biggest waist of money ever. $899 for them to give you two compression garmets you can get for $30. And the fallow up appointment was asking a few questions, taking my weight and some pictures.. I am not in any pain. It's sore in the morning but some light stretching and everything is fine. It does itch. And I have some numb areas. So besides the rip off of the recovery package I am extremely happy so far.

Positive experience: One thing I must say is that every single person that works here is incredible kind and friendly, and the nurses especially were top notch. They were a wonderful help and comfort to me. As for the procedure itself, it was much more painful than they prepare you for it's yet to be determined. I have followed their instructions religiously and at first I felt good about how things were going but now I am starting to lose confidence.

EDIT: I want to add more detail because l just can’t say enough nice things about this place. Sooo im going to wind back to the beginning. A couple months ago I began my serious researching tummy tuck journey. 1. I’m not a fan of general anesthesia unless absolutely necessary. 2. I wanted skin removal first and for most. 3. Reasonable cost. I got a quote for an OG tummy tuck in Bellevue and a sculpting quote from Bellevue. Both more than my custom Sono Bello quote. Also one of Sono Bellos biggest advertisements is that they only use local anesthetic. Check Mark. Lastly they now offer the “Abex” which is skin removal of the lower abdomen. Check mark. I have had 2 csections and could not get rid of my skin with diet or exercise. I was skeptical of a procedure that would work with such little down time an only local anesthetic. So I looked and looked at before and after photos and watch YouTube review. Everything thing I saw was impressive even the negative reviews had good results… ok so there’s my back story. I get to Sono Bello, I am seen on time. I am offered surgery next day!! Surgery day was a breeze as well you take your pain pills and chill pills and then go to operating room, get numbed an the surgeon gets to work. You can also ask questions why they work and they are all beyond polite. I was back to work the following day after surgery. That being said I do work from home, but I was very capable of sitting at a computer. I didn’t take any pain medication when I got home. I took Tylenol and Ibuprofen for 3 days and then stopped that. I am now one week post op an feel great, I just make sure to drink a gallon of water everyday. I will recommend this office to everyone!! And share my results.

Negative experience: The 2 stars are because the staff has been friendly and professional during every appointment. I had my waist, upper and lower abdomen done the week of Thanksgiving. The doctor told me "60% of patients experience some discomfort during the procedure." I cannot stress enough how excruciatingly painful the procedure was. The numbing medication did nothing for the pain. I was sent home after 15 minutes in recovery. I was also told during the initial consultation that the downtime would be 2 days. This is absolutely not true. I was able to return to work after 2 weeks. That's when the burning pain began. I called and explained the amount of pain and that it feels like the worst sunburn I've ever had. After several calls, I was told that "the doctor is stumped." It was recommended that I try 2 different types of over the counter creams. I have been massaging my stomach daily and trying different creams. Nothing is helping. I have noticed results in my physical appearance, but I have also drastically changed my diet and exercise. I may be happy with the results several months from now. But it's been over 9 weeks since the procedure and I'm in pain every day.

Fantastic experience: From the consultation with Yvette I already felt confident that I should proceed. She was honest and made sure all my questions were answered. Day of surgery went really well. Yvette was my nurse which was full circle so great since I already met her. The cocktail they gave was just enough to feel comfortable while they did the numbing solution. Dr Malin and Yvette were so great to me, music choice was perfect (90's alternative) we had a convo the whole time and I didn't feel but a little bit of discomfort here and there and Yvette was right there to say breathe through it. Now I'm home and on day 4 of recovery. Stopped taking the pain meds by end of day 2. They made me too drowsy but I needed that rest. I'm feeling much more mobile day 3 and 4 and I can see such positive results so far. I did upper lower and pubic area. My pubic area is the most swollen and bruised but it's normal and gravity taking its course. The compression garment is really comfortable too. All in all I'm happy I did this and can't wait to see the final results. Thanks Sono Bello!

Fantastic experience: All of the staff are so friendly and sweet, and I felt so comfortable every step of the way. I fell asleep during the procedure, and it's only a local anesthetic! They even offered me a free Venus treatment to prevent swelling and bruising, which I find very accommodating and generous. I will recommend this office to anyone I know who wants the procedure done! What a pleasure!

Positive experience: The bad: 1. When the consultant tells you there is no down time and you can return to work the next day, know that this may not be true for you. It wasnt for me. Maybe if you only get your chin done this might be true. I had abdomen , upper arms and under arm, upper bra roll done. 2 Consultant said, there's just a few tiny pokes in each area, they inject with lidocaine to numb everything, there will be a little drainage for a day or two. The pokes where they numb you is the worst part. It's relatively painless. Here's the reality from my experience. What seemed like 10 minutes after the lidocaine and fluid injections the Dr started procedure. It was painful. Like level 10 of 10 pain. By the time I got numb enough for it to not be painful he was nearly done. So I guess it actually took about 45 minutes for numbing to be effective. I don't feel like my level of pain was of too much concern for staff. But I could be wrong. Next problem. Compression garment didn't fit well, it was too small in arms and length. But they sent me home in it. By day 4 my arms were in such pain from the too tight garment I had to cut the sleeves off. So now.. no compression on my painful arms. I can order on my own from a company for a properly fitted one. Drainage, there's quite a lot of bloody drainage for 3 days. There is no way I could have returned to work the next day. Not even 3 days later. I'm on day 5 post surgery. I'm still too painful/bruised to return to work. If I had a desk job working at home.. maybe. I have to sleep on my back as it's too painful in any other position. For the good part. All staff was very friendly, facility very clean, people answer the phone when you call. I can already see a big difference in my appearance and I think I will be happy with result after the swelling, bruising and pain dissipate. Dr. Explained difference between visceral and subQ fat and realistic results of liposuction, also the need to maintain healthy eating and exercise habits. My suggestion to consultants. Don't tell people there is no down time and can return to work next day. And don't tell people it's nearly pain free procedure. Make sure compression garment fits well before surgery. Update week 4 post surgery. Still having pain. Not severe. But not minimal either. Needing to take 600 MG ibuprofen twice a day. I was able to return to work at week 3. I work 12 hour shifts in health care.

Fantastic experience: The staff is amazing. I was nervous about the procedure, it's a big decision and financially a large investment. From the moment I walked in I felt good about the company and my decision. The consultant was amazing, the nurse, the Doctor all great people. They took the time to answer my questions and even go over everything a second time so I fully understood what would happen. I very much would recommend them for your treatment.

Fantastic experience: When I chose Sonobello for my procedure, it came from recommendations from two of my friends and also the promotional ad that was being offered. The procedure went well and follow up appointments too. In between, receiving weekly instructions of where I should be during my recovery and what I needed to do helped alot. I do have a small spot on my abdomen that needs to be smoothed out and they suggested an ultrasound treatment to help with that at no extra cost. Care and treatment was very good, The only part I felt to improve on was the personal touch by the nurses( introducing themselves by name as they took you back and a little more direct feedback by them. Otherwise, very pleased overall!!

Fantastic experience: I have to start by saying I put in an insane amount of work on myself. I lost over 120lbs in about 6 years. Just that little bit to go and I needed help. I got that and more with the amazing caring staff. From consult to the operating table I felt great about the decision I was making. I NEVER go to doctors because they always upsell and offer things you don’t need, for an elective surgery I thought this would for sure be the case. I felt heard and affirmed, decisions I made to wait on certain changes were supported and encouraged. Front desk staff, nurses, and the doctor were all amazing. I expected to be treated as an inconvenience and instead was treated like a member at a spa. A+ 110% by the Portland team. I recommend to anyone in the PNW to seek help here first.

Positive experience: The initial process is very streamlined and effective. They follow up immediately after you request a consult. They are very good at communicating appointment times and directions. The front desk receptionist was wonderfully friendly and helpful. The person who helped me did not even bat an eyelash when I forgot to fill in a couple of spots on the intake paperwork.The office itself is very clean and well decorated. I made it to my appointment I filled out the paperwork and proceeded to sit and wait for 30 minutes past my appointment time. As I sat there, I started to imagine myself post-op sitting and waiting in pain for 30-45 minutes and I decided it was not the level of service that I want for myself. It seems like such a shame to have such an effective scheduling system only to have potential clients sit for 30-40 minutes past their appointment time. My time is very, very valuable. Everyone’s time is valuable. As a local business owner myself, who offers free initial consultations, if my staff were making new clients wait for 30 to 40 minutes past their appointment time to be seen for the consult, I would definitely address it immediately. Not even my Providence neurosurgeon makes me wait that long to be seen. I ended up getting stuck in rush-hour traffic for my 35 minute drive home and got home in a bad mood after wasting a good portion of my afternoon. On my way home I decided to just go ahead and work with an established surgeon in Lake Oswego. I am looking to establish a solid relationship with a provider that can help me make my entire body what I want it to be, over time. So, a lack of respect for my time was not a good indication of a solid or long-term relationship. I will repeat that the scheduling persons as well as the front desk reception were impeccable. I give the front desk five stars as well as all of the people who made sure that I made it to my appointment. And I give zero stars to whoever was supposed to see that appointment through. If you were thinking of going in for your initial consultation, be prepared to spend an extended amount of time waiting to be seen. I don’t think it’s necessary to arrive to your appointment 15 minutes early if they’re just going to make you wait an additional 30+ minutes on top of that. I would also highly recommend having multiple consultations with multiple providers so that you can get a feel for the level of service that you can expect from your provider. It’s very intimate and personal subject. Establishing a solid relationship upfront is extremely important.

Fantastic experience: I had my initial consult with Yvette and she was super informative and very understanding. She was able to take my concerns and come up with a plan for me that suited my needs and budget. She wasn't pushy either, perfectly okay with me going home and sleeping on it. Then my surgeon was Dr. Aghayan, who was very straightforward about the procedure, perfectly happy to answer all my questions, and was very thorough throughout the procedure. I just want to take a minute to dispel any negative comments and reviews about him, because he did a truly amazing job for me and I couldn't be more grateful for the life changing service. He was nice and funny and professional and I highly recommend him. I'd also like to give a commendation to the nurses and assistants throughout the whole ordeal, as everyone was cheerful and energetic and made me feel less anxious. My assistant who helped Dr. Aghayan, Elaine, was very sweet and we shared a lot of common interests that made it easy to chat with her and to distract myself from the procedure. And she didn't mind that I was so chatty. :) Long story short, I highly recommend Sono Bello in Portland Oregon. Best experience and expertise you can find for elective cosmetic surgery.

Fantastic experience: I was very apprehensive about having any procedures done because of my severe allergies. Shab was incredibly patient and thorough in taking the time to talk with us, and even brought Dr Bensimon into the consult to discuss my concerns. Shab is so professional, but more importantly to me she is empathetic, kind and personable. She made us feel so comfortable and heard! I never felt judged or uncomfortable asking any questions to either of them. I did have a few complication with my procedure but Dr Bensimon spent so much time with me, reassuring me he would do everything in his power to help me through the process and he did! Shab has been so great about communication and helping navigate my procedures I really can’t say enough great things about Shab and Dr Bensimon. Sonobello is lucky to have them both. If you are considering any of the procedures they offer this is the only place I would go! Dr Bensimon is amazingly talented and Shab is awesome. Excited for next month when I go back for more !!

Fantastic experience: Wow! What a place. Absolutely blown away. The FREE consultation was absolutely FULL of information that was SO HELPFUL! The consult person was so informative and able to help me make the best informed decision for myself. She didn't make me feel pressured and was incredibly kind and full of knowledge. One of the actual Doctors actually came in and met with me real fast and gave his knowledge on what would best be fit for me, even though unfortunately Sono Bella couldn't help me with what I needed. Fantastic experience: Great experience from the initial consultation to follow up care. Costs were clearly presented, along with financing options. Everyone was encouraging and supportive throughout the process. I followed recovery guidance very strictly and am so pleased with the outcome. It was the springboard I needed for a much needed weight loss. At my initial weigh in I was 207, and am down to 145 today. I was around 150 until menopause began in earnest around 2014 or 2015, and despite religiously working out i could not lose weight. Even spent a huge amount of money on Cool Sculpting that did nothing. So having my pre menopause body back (actually smaller now!) means so much. I didnt think I'd ever see that woman again. Replacing all my plus size clothes is a chore but a sweet one. Luckily i saved a lot of things. We weren't able to look at pics at my 3 month appointment due to technical issues, so I'm anxious to do that at my 6 month appointment. Want to see my before and afters! I couldn't be happier about my decision to go to Sonobello and would encourage anyone to consider it. Looking forward to retirement as my best self.

Positive experience: They are nice people and got good price for everything that I wanted to get done. However it's been 2 weeks since my surgery and I was expecting to see smaller results right away because I got lipo in my upper and lower abdomen and my waist and my hips and then an abex alternative tummy tuck that alot being done on my stomach but didn't see much of a change at all and still weighed the same ... Now that it's been 2 weeks after my surgery the only thing that has changed is I no longer have a a big muffin top belly but still the same thickness around my stomach. But they say it's because I'm swollen still which I really am swollen so I can't say that I'm unhappy yet. I can't wait to see full results after 6 months I hope it really is from being swollen I paid over 13 thousand to be smaller and shaped better with loose skin removed. And expect to see a big change for that much money. I just don't see much of a change yet so I'm trying to be patient on my results ... I'm eating healthy and portion size and drinking lots of water and I'm getting my exercise done daily so that way I will see better results when I'm fully healed.. they did say that if I don't gain any weight and if there's more fat that needs to be removed they will do it for free only if I don't gain weight which I won't.. so we will see if they even check to see if I need more fat removed or not. I hope they don't just tell people that just to get us to go through them for lipo /abex. The staff there are very nice and the doctor is very nice to he did surgery on my daughters head when she was 6 months old and did a great job so I'm gonna trust what he says about not seeing results right away and I'll start to see results slowly .. so I'll follow up in 6 months with final result on here and hopefully give 5 stars .. I would love to give 5 stars because they were very nice. I just was bummed that I didn't see any results right away when others have see results right away with less work done to there stomach and even with all the swelling they still seen smaller results v/s me looking bigger to not much of a difference results and still fit the same in all my clothes with more stuff done more fat taken out of my stomach makes me feel like I paid over 13 thousand for not much of a difference results I know every ones body is different but with that much fat removal plus abex u would think u would see smaller results right away. I just have to be patient and wait till I'm healed and no longer swollen before I say if I'm satisfied or not Update it's 09/05/23 I'm not satisfied with my results at all there's no Difference much at all except now I have a long scar over my stomach I wish I got what my sister got was an actual tummy tuck . It cost basically the same as the alternative tummy tuck. I was so unsatisfied I didn't even go to my last 6 month appointment I didn't see any point in going. Didn't want to waist my time ..good thing I only got my tummy done I was trying to find a place to do all the things I wanted done my tummy was just 1 area but now I'm glad I know I don't want to get anything else done here .. such little results for so much money

Positive experience: Everyone I interacted with was very upbeat and positive and that made for a pleasant experience. The procedure was indeed (as mentioned by others) a bit more painful than expected. The Dr. really had no sympathy and basically scolded me for squirming. Kharia was great and very reassuring. She made sure I was comfortable and helped me before, during, and after the procedure. I received a follow up call (from someone) to check on me, again very positive and upbeat. I’m only a few days after the surgery (torso and chest area) and feel ok. I was able to (pretty much out of necessity - I made the mistake of forwarding my office phone) return to work the next day (I can work at a desk from home) and have no regrets or issues at this point. I’m looking forward to seeing the final results!

I like the weekly informational e-mails. Still healing from my stomach/hips but looking forward to phase two (under arms/thighs/chin). Only 4 stars because I felt I had to guide my post op appt. in order receive adequate follow-up care instructions.

Fantastic experience: I love all staff and nurses there, they are very friendly and careful to give you information and descriptions for surgery and on treatments. Also was nice to nurse over the phone. I like to FaceTime when meeting during the treatments. I can’t wait to see the results in the few weeks.

Fantastic experience: I had liposuction on my hips, under arms, waist and upper thighs. Everyone at Sono Bello from the front desk to the surgeon was extremely friendly. There was no point in time I felt like just another number. They made me feel special, important. I had a couple “special” or different things going on in my case and they were very helpful.
