I have moved a lot and have been getting Dysport or Botox for a number of years and have had a number of providers in several countries, which I have always researched and chosen carefully (medical backgrounds/reviews). I was highly impressed with how helpful and competent the front desk staff was and that gave me great confidence in your clinic as a service provider. I was scheduled for Dysport with Fay and she was fantastic! Highly knowledgeable, friendly, and I’m sure the results will speak for themselves. I will be back. 10/10.

Experiencia fantástica: This medispa is the best. I've tried a few others on the island, but have stuck with this practice for over a year now. They have an experienced nurse and doctor with great bedside manners. I have been treated with Botox, Dysport, Sculptra and threads by both Dr. Sanderson and Nurse Akiko for wrinkles on forehead and around the eyes and also for lack of collagen/sagging around jaw and cheeks. I appreciate their patience with all my questions and am happy the results. The atmosphere is pleasant, clean, warm, and bright. It's obvious that they care about their clients. Also, I don't feel pressured to buy anything more than I come into the office for. They also usually have specials, which I look forward to.

Experiencia fantástica: Thrive Medi Spa from beginning to end made my experience exquisite. Renee was great welcoming me & checking me in. Dr. Steve & team made me feel comfortable. He applied the numbing cream. I dozed off in part of the Dermal Fill procedure. I do think the little massage apparatus that they use, distracts you from feeling the needle. I highly recommend this procedure for those looking to upgrade their look.

Experiencia fantástica: I decided to check out ThriveMed Spa because of its convenient location which happens to be in the same building I work in. I went in to try the Dysport. I’ve received Botox a couple times before for my 11 lines at another med spa but I ended up having long lasting headaches after the treatment. Faye was super nice and explained the difference between the two and also about how it’s injected. So far so good I haven’t had any headaches and I’m looking forward to my next visit!

Update: I went to get my procedure done and only a week later I am already recovered enough to work and work out a little. He fixed my abdomen lumps from previous surgery with another doctor. Bruising was minimal and pain was manageable.

Choosing a spa and practitioner for treatments can take some time, and it should. We definitely want to do our research when it comes to something so important. I don’t know about you, but reviews often help me make the final decision about whether a practitioner is best for me. Let’s face it, we want results without Having to worry. Look no further. THRIVE IS THE BEST IN HONOLULU! I first did a consultation with Dr Sanderson. I asked a ton of questions, and he answered all of them. After I left the consultation, I searched each of the suggestions he gave me to achieve the results I wanted. I’m glad I did. My original idea was to get lipo for my thighs. I have worked out my whole life and menopause has proven to best my most diligent efforts at looking toned and fit. My physique is fairly thin already, but significant dimpling (paired with thin skin) prevents me from wearing shorts, even in heat of the summer. I learned from Dr. Sanderson that cellulite is genetic and not based on how much I exercise. In the end, I decided to go with cutting the fat cords (so the fat tissue doesn’t dimple as much) and skin tightening (EndoLift) to help my skin naturally tighten up. I want a more natural look without appearing skinny. In addition, I also booked Sculptra for my face and neck. Next up True Flex!

I had only had filler and botox one time before, 3 years ago from my bf in california who’s a nurse. The Thrive Med Spa office is gorgeous & the staff is warm & friendly. Then walks in Faye. First thing she tells me is ok hold this mirror and i’m gonna show you in the mirror what procedures i think you would appreciate. Everything Faye said was spot on & music to my ears. Then she started injecting and she has such a soft touch i didnt feel the needle. She goes back and forth. Takes her time. Tiny bit here, tiny bit there. She’s an artist & brilliant! I am overjoyed with Faye’s vision & i think i look 5 years younger!! Can’t wait to go back!

Experiencia fantástica: Quality service from creating the appointment to the end. The front desk is super helpful. Faye was super gentle and perfectly injected the Dysport. She knew exactly how to ensure it was balanced, a natural look but still prevented future wrinkles. Facility is very clean.

Experiencia fantástica: It was easy to book a appointment, i was given a link to be able to fill out the forms before the appointment. They send constant reminders to keep your appointment front of mind. The consultation was informative and thorough Chenoa is great she explained the whole process and was very patient. The entire first session took less then 1hr. It is recommended to do 6 session spread out by 6 weeks each. I'll be back in 6 weeks.

Experiencia negativa: I originally went to Thrive Med spa for weight management. The "program" cost is outrageous ($3000 and it did not include the cost of the medicine). This includes 2 visits with Dr. Sanderson, a "screen" where he puts you in a machine and it gives you a percentage of your body fat, and 2 "fat melting" sessions, and a daily email that basically tells you to eat ketogenic diet. I had trouble scheduling the sessions and more problems trying to get the medication. At the time he was using a pharmacy in Texas and the process was not smooth or consistent. If you are looking for a weight loss management, I would not go here. There are plenty of other doctors/programs in Honolulu that do not cost thousands of dollars and you can get the medication and actual results. I feel like a fool giving Thrive Med spa 3000. Edit...(6/27/24) I also do live in Hawaii. I briefly left for family issues which included the death of my father, but I live here, work here, and pay taxes. I can't believe I have to justify this in a Google review. I find it wild that a critique/my experience would prompt such an response from a doctor's office. A personal attack of, "it's funny you would leave a review considering you do not live in Hawaii" I'm not quiet sure what me being in Hawaii or not has anything to do with a review of your business. But I live here, I'm an RN on the island, and I overpaid for the "program". The program is overpriced and I had major problems trying to schedule the "fat burning session" (which I'm sure I will never see any money I paid for a service not rendered/completed). I am simply saying the program at Thrive is overpriced and did not work for me. This is my experience and I'm allowed to leave a review. I apologize it's not perfect and that you do not like it. Your rebuttal to my review is a HIPPA violation BTW... You do not have the right to include what program I participated in or the last time I was at your office. When I disclose my experience it is one thing, but when a doctor's office discloses any medical treatment that I received to include the last time I was there, what program I specifically bought, what numbers you claim I had, scheduling specifics, the "numbers" you claim I had, how many appointments I went in for, and even what state you currently think I may live in /not live in, that is an issue. I had success with another doctor on the island and the price was way less than what Dr. Sanderson offers. Take my review with a grain of salt? It takes months to lose weight appropriately and figure out what formula works for you based on lifestyle, medication, exercise, and nutrition. I had to go through another program and achieve success before I was able to objectively look at Thrive and formulate an opinion.

Experiencia fantástica: I was a little apprehensive at first to visit Thrive Med Spa for I have never done injectables or Botox. Angelica was fantastic and immediately put me at ease. She truly listened to my concerns and wants and took the time to make suggestions. Never once did I feel pressured to do anything. During the procedures she made sure I was comfortable and explained what was being done along the way. I am ecstatic with the results and am so thankful to Thrive Med Spa and Angelica for making me feel good about myself once again.

Experiencia negativa: I previously shared a different more highly rated review but I felt the need to come back and update my review based on my last experience. I have received Botox from Dr. Sanderson on multiple occasions, and was always satisfied with the results however, the last time I received Botox it was obviously not placed as needed. My smile immediately began to change in a non-pleasant way to the point where I look like I am grimacing. I went in for a post-treatment consultation about two weeks later, where I was told it was just because of the lip flip, and that it would go back to normal within a couple of weeks as my lip got used to its new position, yet my smile only became more wonky as time increased. I understand that in such a delicate profession things happen, but I did not appreciate the way it was handled, and to be told that my concern was just something that would resolve itself in a few weeks when that was obviously not the truth. Only now about eight months later is my smile returning to normal. BEWARE!!!

I have been getting dysport since 2020 and am more selective with who I want to work with. He also was very personable and had great bed side manners. I didnt just feel like a patient, I felt like he was genuinely enjoying the appointment too. Experiencia fantástica: In mid-2023, while watching HI Now Daily, I caught a segment featuring Dr. Scott Sanderson performing a non-surgical skin tightening procedure (Endolift). My curiosity was piqued because of this procedure’s non-invasiveness, minor discomfort, and immediate and long-term results. However, I finally pulled the trigger to book a consultation after procrastinating for over six months. My initial contact was with this spa’s receptionist, Kiana, who, through our text interactions, I sensed her professionalism, friendliness, and concern for providing me with accurate patient registration and aesthetic provider services information. After informing her about my interest in Endolift, which Dr. Sanderson performs, she scheduled me for a consultation. She advised me about a $50 non-refundable consultation fee, which would be applied to future treatment, and sent me medical history pre and post-treatment forms to complete and review. Kiana’s consistent appointment reminders, financing, and follow-up communication make me wish that all of my physician offices would treat me this way. My appointment coincided with a flood in their office at the Ko’olani Condominium, so I met with Dr. Sanderson at the tranquil and relaxing Ho’ala Spa in Ala Moana Center. He described the Endolift paired with Silhouette Instalift procedures, expected results, and realistic time for full results. I liked his friendly, calm, and professional demeanor. He answered my questions, and I felt more relaxed about addressing my age-related skin concerns. Dr. Sanderson is very observant and caring to ensure a painless procedure. He also reiterated post-treatment instructions. His thoroughness and professionalism is admirable. I’m looking forward to visiting their new spa location in Downtown’s American Savings Bank Tower.

Then they did not show to a scheduled virtual consultation, then I called, texted and sent booking requests through the website. I still no not have an appointment. I know the office was flooded- a long time ago. They are still unable to respond to requests or communication? Terrible, I have booked elsewhere.

ONE TREATMENT at thrive Medspa for my Brazilian and I have instant results, I couldn't be happier!!!! I literally have only like half my hair growing back, I can't wait to do more treatments and other areas with them! Chenoa did my treatment I would highly recommend her and the machine is called soprano titanium, so much more effective than the last place I was going to.

She took her time to inform me that a lip flip is a cute and ideal way to give yourself a very small plump and enhance your cupid's bow but it's only temporary which is totally fine with me as my first time. I will eventually be back to step it up and get fillers for more of an enhancement :) but overall 10/10 visit for booking your injections treatment with Nurse Akiko!

I don't recall both of the receptionists names the day of my appointment, but I believe one was named Ashley, (I'm so sorry) - both were incredibly warm in their welcome, along with post-procedure. I received treatment by Akiko who shared a wealth of knowledge, was incredibly professional and actively listened to my wants, which is very important to me when receiving any type of beauty treatment + the results kicked in at the projected timeline Akiko shared would likely take place. Thank you for your transparency and not being overly pushy with your product sales tact. I enjoyed my experience so much, I'm in the process of booking my next treatment. It's worth noting that pricing is comparable to others within the Hawai'i market. If you're in a position to choose, my vote is with Thrive. Trust me!

Experiencia fantástica: I went to Thrive Spa initially for my eye brow tattoo laser removal . Chanoe the esthetician was very friendly and helpful to do my eyebrows. I was very happy with the results. So I decided to do my facial and neck tightening treatment because of Chanoe she gave me the very in-depth info about this micro-needling so I went along with this treatment. Chanoe has very soft hands that I feel so relax and comfortable when she massages my face and how she carefully did micro-needling on my nect and face as well. Thrive Medical Spa offers variety of facial and body treatments. Their receptionist are very friendly and helpful, and their estheticians are professional trained with years of experiences. Highly recommend this Spa for anyone looking for younger beauty treatments!

Ashley the receptionist helped me out as I was running late for my appointment and they were fully booked.
