Her explanations were clear and easy to follow, and I immediately felt like I was in the hands of someone who genuinely understands the body on a deep level. I've been dealing with some physical issues for years (tight shoulder, tight glute / lower back) and tried so many things - massage, multiple physical therapists, NKT, acupuncture, etc...Jamie immediately noted and focused in on aspects of my alignment that no one else had mentioned, and her approach to treatment felt both holistic and science-based. I feel like I finally have a trusted thought partner and practitioner in my corner, and am looking forward to continuing the journey.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to see Erik for a painful case of frozen shoulder after a previous therapist had worsened the injury by forcing it into a rapid stretch. I was in constant discomfort when I arrived, but hopeful, as I had heard only good things. From the start, I was impressed by Erik’s approach — both incredibly gentle and fully consent-based, while also applying the strong, precise pressure needed to reach the right muscles, tendons, and ligaments. He was in constant communication, always working right up to the edge of healthy discomfort but never beyond. Erik also took the time to explain my injury in detail: how frozen shoulder develops, the phases it goes through, and what can be done to speed healing. He increased my mobility noticeably in just one session, gave me exercises I can do at home, and left me feeling hopeful, encouraged, and supported. I booked my follow-up immediately and, for the first time in months, feel confident I’ll get to the other side of this with less pain and full mobility. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Previous to this visit, with 3 different specialists, acupuncture worked for me 1 out of 3 times. My kids swear by Eva, so I tried a 4th specialist. Her method is somewhat different than I previously experienced. I had some additional minor discomfort after the procedure. After about 24 hours, I have very significant relief. I hope I don't have to return to Eva, but if necessary, I will.

From my very first treatment, my body had a strong, immediate, and positive response. Experiencia fantástica: Jamie Bender is spectacular! I saw her for an orthopedic issue and found her work exceptional in efficacy and technique. As an acupuncturist I can say with confidence that her knowledge and expertise is masterful. She uses novel diagnosis and treatment techniques that combine many things but the piece I found intriguing today was the way she uses diagnostic methods from neuromuscular rehab therapy coupled with motor point needle work to allow for a precise understanding and treatment of the orthopedic issue. Eva is the other acupuncturist there who I have seen for an orthopedic session who also has advanced skills and her techniques were also masterful and effective. Whoever you get to see at Stepping into Wellness will for sure help you…. Step into wellness! Also worth noting - Jamie has created a beautiful space that is at once serene and inviting while having a super cool wood-metal-plants modern aesthetic. Also…she has fun community events in her luscious fruit tree filled back yard. Fig trees abound and she leaves bowls of figs out for patients! What more could you want? :-)
