Experiencia fantástica: I am a self-described cynic who has historically described acupuncture as too "crunchy granola" for me. Consider me a convert! I've been seeing Rachel for almost a year now for acupuncture treatments during my IVF journey. She is always kind, gentle, thorough, and provides specified treatment depending on where I am in my cycle. I also struggle with migraines, and I had one settling in for the long haul yesterday. I had an appointment with Rachel and spoke with her beforehand about whether I should come in or just settle into the dark abyss. We agreed that if I could make the car ride, she could do some things to help. I would characterize the headache at the time as moderate and getting worse. I was okay in sunglasses as my husband drove me but was getting nauseous and very sensitive to light by the time we arrived. Rachel, as usual, took a lot of care with me and did a treatment based on my symptoms. My headache was about 50% reduced when I got up off the table. I was no longer sensitive to light, and it felt more like I was in that post-headache, hangover stage. I continued to drink water and went to sleep early. When I woke up this morning, I felt 100%. I have never had a migraine dispelled that quickly. I credit Rachel, not only for making me feel better in the moment, but also for inhibiting the headache that likely would have put me in a dark, cold room for the next 15-20 hours. 10/10 would recommend, do not pass go, make your appointment! (BUT maybe not, because I'd like to keep her a local secret, for my own benefit.)
