Experiencia fantástica: "FINALLY!!" I have found a doctor who does real doctoring and doesn't just google my symptoms. Dr. Milton Mills at the Garden of Eden Medical Center has demonstrated consistent, professional manners that leave me feeling truly heard, cared for, and looked after. I deeply appreciate his personable approach and his willingness to research and delve deeper into matters to get to the root cause. His bedside manner is unmatched. The office is always clean, quiet, and welcoming, with a bright calming waiting area. I love the soothing waterfall sounds and wholesome music playing at just enough volume for you to hear and not be overwhelmed. Good job Dr. Asena Horton!! I HIGHLY recommend.
Experiencia negativa: AVOID AT ALL COST! My experience with this office has been very frustrating!!! They are extremely difficult to work with. Communication is inconsistent, it’s hard to get clear answers, and resolving even simple issues feels unnecessarily complicated. As a patient, you expect professionalism, responsiveness, and a willingness to help but that has not been my experience. The overall process feels disorganized and stressful, which only adds to the challenges of dealing with healthcare needs! I would NOT recommend this office based on my experience.

Experiencia negativa: Dr. ARMISTEAD is the only Dr I would see here, this may be the absolute worse care I have ever seen, I had high hopes and soon learned how bad this place is. First problem- Filled out all paperwork they asked, but when going to my portal they had some random name and phone as my emergency contact, listed me as black female which is wrong. Second problem..Get my first script filled afer much hassle and it was double the dose of what I take (big mistake-pharmacy caught it) Third Problem- Went IN 2 times for an ear infection, first time was told to eat washabi peas and spicy soup (I was floored) Second time I stressed I can not hear and my ears are draining bad and hurt- was told to put hydrogen peroxide in and if that didn't help to come back- By the time I tried that and got another appt my ears where bleeding, Dr Armistead said I had a double inner and outer ear infection in both ears, and explained to me the infection could go into blood stream because I now had open skin inside both ears bleeding!! ear drops and 2 months of antibotics to clear it up Fourth Problem- I understand I should of left this practice by now, but had 2 very close family members pass away with 5 weeks of eachother and called finally to ask for help, they scheduled a phone appt for 5 days later, which I waited for but no call came in at the time sheduled, 2 hrs late the dr madison calls leaves me a message telling me to go buy some supplement. Receptionist- she talks to co workers and alexa more than those waiting at the counter. Who ever answers phone is truly unprofessional, Office closed many times for whatever reason. After reading the reviews I will now call my Ins co to see if Dr Madison charged my Insurance to leave a message on my machine for a scheduled appt she never called for. Nutritionalist is absolutely awesome and so is Dr. ARMISTEAD, my hope is someone out there hires them so they can leave Garden of Eden before this place ruins thier career and reputation. Do Better Dr Madison or close your doors.
Experiencia negativa: I just left this clinic now and I’m still traumatized by my encounter with one of the so-called doctors - one young African guy from Togo. Very unprofessional and lacks empathy for patients’ emotions. I came for abdominal pain but he started asking me what I was studying in school and what kind of job I was doing. I became uncomfortable and I told him how I felt about his questions. He then went ahead to ask “So what killed your father?” and I was shocked. As if that wasn’t enough, he continued to repeat the question, asking me “where and how did your father die?” I have never been this traumatized in my whole life. I left the hospital in tears with flashing images of my parents’ hurtful deaths.

Experiencia negativa: They aren't neurodivergent friendly like they claim. My daughter was overstimulated and melting down. Dr. Madison told her to look her in the eyes in a demanding tone. When my daughter didn't respond she demanded further. They also took my 12 year old into a different room to ask her questions about how my husband and I homeschool her. This was after leading me to believe they were just taking her to do an eye exam. I had stressed that she has anxiety and wanted me to be present before the appointment even started.
Experiencia negativa: This is the most unprofessional practice I have ever seen. They do not return calls, they are not accommodating if you need to be seen as a walk in, today I couldn't even access the patient portal to message my practitioner. The physicians assistant I see is wonderful, but the front desk personnel need improve. It is sad because holistic practitioners fill a niche for people who do not like traditional medicine.
Experiencia negativa: It went downhill a couple years ago and I thought, let me check the reviews to see if anything got better. Nope! My issue - Billing issue due to incorrect info from the front desk, poorly trained staff and that includes the front desk, nurses and Dr. Madison to some extent ( I believe that herbs and holistic treatment works ) but ONLY to some extent. Get people out of pain and then look to transition them to natural stuff to prevent further issues. One time I had to wait 2 weeks to get medicine due to them losing lab work and not returning calls. My mother was also a patient and the front desk approved and accepted her insurance then the claim was denied. It took me 9 months to resolve this issue and that was with paying out of pocket (billing person quit and they were backed up)
Experiencia negativa: Only reason I gave one star is because you have to write this review. This place is absolutely in nightmare, not professional whatsoever. They never answer the phone you leave voicemails they never answer voicemails either finally after four months of me trying to contact them they finally answered and when they did they gave me an appointment . We go to the place and we were told that they moved I called to get the new address. Of course they will never answer it kept telling me that the office is closed instead of them saying that they’re probably on lunch so people know what’s going on. Go on their website they had their address in there so now we missed the appointment we can’t see the doctor. I do not recommend this place to anyone at all because like I said they never answer so not professional they don’t even answer the patient portal they take forever to refill medication even Bremo, pharmacy has been calling them nonstop to get the approval to fill some prescriptions for the past four months, and they never. I called again to see what’s going on and to get the address. The lady was rude and she asked what did I want from them like how unprofessional is that? Why is this even a doctors office? Don’t waste your time and going to this person place you will be soooooooo disappointed

Experiencia negativa: Horrible service. For two weeks Kroger Pharmacy has sent prescription refill requests with no response, so when I called today, I was told GOE can see it on their end but haven’t gotten around to approving it yet. FOR TWO WEEKS. For a daily thyroid pill that has kept me alive for 2 decades. I am currently on my second to last pill, and of course, I called Kroger tonight (in hopes that the final call of the three calls I had made to GOE today actually precipitated a result), and they still don't have the prescription. The GOE office is closed tomorrow. This is simply the icing on the cake as I have had prior deplorable service during a blood draw (the “nurse” had me literally dripping blood on the table and never once apologized after she grossly bungled the draw) and any time I call for assistance with a referral or refill. Dr. Madison and her staff are a sorry excuse for a faith-based medical clinic. I enjoyed my one visit with Dr. Armistead, but seeing as he’s been out of the country, my file has fallen in Dr. Madison’s hands.
Experiencia fantástica: I have been working with Dr. ARMISTEAD he is very polite, professional and thorough. I have done blood test in regards to a GI issue I been battling over a year and had my woman exams done as well keeping me educated on the clinic side of things while considering my concerns and my experience with my own body not dismissing them because he is the expert in medicine while I’m the expert In my own body was very refreshing.
Experiencia negativa: I have fought the urge to file this complaint for 5 months now. They have been charging me and my family copay’s for routine check ups for going on 2 years. I didn’t realize it until about 6 months ago. Since then I have tried to get refunds and been working with their billing specialist as advised, and NOTHING has been done. I have called and left messages, I have sent requests thru the portal… all of my attempts have gone unresolved. Also, one of my children wasn’t able to get into their online records system and she called for help 3 times and each time told “we don’t know how to help you” “office manager isn’t here” then it was “we currently don’t have a office manager” So as a patient I don’t access to my records, labs, or payment history…. And no one from the office will help me. I had another doctors office, called me directly because Dr. Madison’s office has been unresponsive to her record request. She sent the request twice. This is a very important appointment that my daughter needed and was referred to by Dr. Madison however, they are unresponsive when the specialist reached out to them for medical history and details. I called again today (march 9) to get help and the receptionist told me “it’s too early for this, I have other patients waiting” when I demanded someone help me. She then hung up on me. So now I’ve been forced to come in person to get my records. I come up here and waited for Dr. Madison. She asked me to go upstairs in her office to speak with her, and as I am explaining to her what has happened and giving her my complaint, she talked over me she interrupted me, and she was extremely dismissive. All that she had to say was that they are extremely short staffed and they have a bunch of horrible employees that weren’t doing their job properly. I asked her at least five times very clearly and specifically for a payment history now, after being in this office for 45 minutes she comes out with other documents instead of what I requested. So now I have wasted another hour of my time and my day dealing with a completely unprofessional establishment. It is a shame that I go out of my way to support not only small businesses, but black businesses and this is the type of treatment that we receive this type of unprofessionalism and practice is why black business get such a bad rep. And I hate to bash another business because I too am a business owner, but this has to be reported because I do not want anyone else to have to go through the type of headache. They are ripping people off, and they are not serving their patients with any administrative request or assistance. Unfortunately, I would not recommend at all. Truly disappointed.
Experiencia fantástica: I appreciate Dr Madison, so much. I spend a lot of time in doctors offices for my daughter as well as my profession too and she’s just the best ever with helping my family in more ways than I can count.

Experiencia negativa: This is over 2 months due. I’ve waited patiently for them to rectify the issue and not one person has returned a call or responded to a portal message. The Garden of Eden is a DISHONEST medical practice. Upon arrival to my annual check up I handed the receptionist my insurance card and thought it odd that she told me I had a co pay, I paid it and thought that would be the end of it. Oh no that was the beginning!They will not provide my insurance with the correct codes they have charged me as self pay, they have also charged me for tests I never received. My bill is beyond ridiculous I went for an annual exam. I’ve been over charged by hundreds and now receiving bills for routine lab work that they won’t send codes to the insurance company for, I’m now out of pocket nearly $2000 for an simple routine annual visit. It’s very disappointing and frustrating! Im warning anyone who is thinking of going here not too…….unless you want to be burdened with massive bills and NO one to communicate with. They are a bunch of thieves!!!! PS: the services were very subpar, and Dr Madison was like every other Dr, doesn’t listen and in a big rush to get you out of the door. Also had me waiting for a follow up lab result appointment for over 3 hours yes 3 hours with absolutely no apology.

Experiencia fantástica: My visit to The Garden of Eden Health Center was by far my best experience at a health facility. The environment is so welcoming, all of the staff are kind, and Dr. Madison is truly anointed. 10/10 experience!
Experiencia negativa: I would recommend not using this facility. They are a totally ripoff. They charged me 150 just for a Zoom call that the doctor was 30 minutes late too. They decided to charge me a year after my appointment with them. I love supporting black owned businesses, but I will no longer support them. Worst doctor office ever. I don’t usually write reviews, but this had me heated. Never again. Yeah they are very positive and the environment is great, but when they start to charge you a year later for a zoom call makes me want to run away. Don’t come here this is a warning. Stay away from Garden off Eden. They will take your money.
Sorry this is your take away. We are a fee for service company, and have a financial policy that all clients must complete. Billing is done by a third party and with insurance, delays can occur for up to a year. We don't do collections as we have no desire to create a financial burden for patients, but hope their experience and what they learned from their encounter makes the financial investment worth it. If there is ever a billing issue our patients don't understand, we encourage you to reach out to our office directly so we can help bring understanding or provide reconciliation. We are new and on the grow, and learning as we go as well.
Experiencia fantástica: Can't say enough positive things about Garden of Eden. Dr. Madison is a thoughtful physician who takes the time to know her patients. With care, she educates her patients so that they are empowered to take charge of their health. I leave my appointments with hope and knowledge, not just a prescription for drugs.

Experiencia fantástica: I'm so exxited about the Garden of Eden Health Center. I've been a patient since September and thanks to Dr. Madison and her awesome staff I'm on the road to a full recovery mind, body and spirit. Dr. Madison is very thourogh and even equips her patients with information and printouts to encourage you until your next visit. All the staff are friendly and make you feel at ease throughout the entire experience. If you are looking for QUALITY CARE with heart and soul then the Garden of Eden is the place for you!! I've got a real doctor this time and I'm keeping her!!!
