Experiencia positiva: Pre and post op services were top notch by the Dr, his staff and the hospital staff. My only complaint is that the gas they pump into your abdominal cavity to make room for the operation is not fully taken back out. Leaving the gas in there pushing on my diaphragm was the most painful thing I have ever experienced in my life for two days. I have a high pain tolerance and I've broken bones before.... I was NOT made aware of this and they did nothing to relieve the pressure. Boy oh boy was it rough. Other than that, I am extremely happy with the decision to go through with the procedure.

Experiencia negativa: I would have gave 0 stars if possible. I started employment 10/9/24 for training to work at the front desk. I was to train the next day 10/10/24, and also training for the following week. There were 2 other females that worked the front desk that were already scheduled to work the week of me being trained. Ashleigh at the front desk is who would have trained me. I was introduced to everyone except the doctor because Dr. Snow only works a few days per week according to Loretta, the hiring manager. I unfortunately, suffered and is still suffering from a medical condition that came out of nowhere on the night of 10/9/24. I reached out to Loretta and let her know what was going on. It got worse overnight and I wasn't scheduled to work 10/11/24 so I made an appointment for then with my primary. I was given two medications and told to come back for f/u and was given a work note for the following week (10/14/24-10/18/24). I reached out to Loretta Sunday 10/13/24 and let her know that I would only be out 10/14/24-10/15/24. I didn't want to take the whole week because I had just started and was on a 6 month probation, so I didn't mention that I had a note for the entire week. On the morning of 10/16/24 I let Loretta the manager know that I needed the rest of the week and then I sent her a copy of my work not from my doctor from Mychart. She sent back "received!". I felt relief because I was still suffering but, I felt my job was safe. Well everything went bad from there. The meds I was prescribed was actually making my condition worse because I was allergic. So, that made me make another appointment with the doctor for a next day appointment which which was on 10/17/24, and day I was already covered for from my work note and remember Loretta said "received!". As I was walking into the building, Loretta called me and said "I know you're going through something and I hope you feel better but, after speaking with my team, we have to separate from each other". I was fired and in pain. I didn't understand how a healthcare facility could not care about the health of their employees after expressing in the welcome letter that they understand emergencies. The thing that was the craziest was the fact that they didn't need to find coverage for me because I wasn't even trained yet. I even asked if we could push back my start date and they said no. I didn't want to think it was because I was the only African American there at that office male or female and that they thought I was lying even though I had a note. It was cold and the decision felt like they had no care for my well being or livelihood especially in this economy. I expressed that I was in LMT school and was paying out of pocket while also pursing my degree for Dietitian. I have to drop out of LMT now and figure out how I'm going to pay my bills. If this is how you treat an employee, I would question the integrity of everything!

Experiencia positiva: This was my first visit so rating is first impressions. I was and am very nervous about such a big decision. For the most part Dr. Snow put me at ease with his personality and knowledge. He seemed patient to answer my questions and laughed more than most doctors. That's important to me! I only wish the practice had more preprinted material available about the cost of post care vitamins and supplements available. It appears to me that the changes to lifestyle and associated expenses are a bit of the unknown and may really add up.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely awful experience! I was completely upfront with this physicians office about my insurance and being on cobra due to a career change. All of the office staff that I had spoke to assured me that the billing was not going to be a problem as long as I can provide proof of paying my monthly premiums for cobra. I absolutely did this. After billing me for everything that they absolutely could. (including cash for dietitians visit, psychologist visit, etc.) a couple days before my procedure they told me they would not do the procedure unless I was willing to come up with $11,000 to have the procedure done. Mind you this is during my clear liquid diet... I begged and pleaded spoke to my insurance company a dozen times. they assured me the procedure would be covered.) the doctors office refused to move forward without CASH... I had scheduled a cruise based on my surgery date and recovery time. They wasted several weeks of my time and was not the least bit compassionate about it. I requested my records be sent to Arch Bariatrics so that I could move on from this horrific experience. When the office staff sent my records to Arch Bariatrics, they told Arch bariatrics office that my insurance was not going to cover this procedure... (completely inappropriate and unprofessional) THEY WERE WRONG!!! Very rude and callous staff. I contacted Arch Bariatrics and gave them all of my information and they submitted it to the insurance with no problems. I was seen and had my procedure in a timely fashion with no problems or issues.

Ultimately after joining Facebook groups for the local area I had several patients of Dr Snows reach out to me privately to warn me that after surgery the support is non existent. I ultimately found a provider who was a better fit and does offer support before, during, and well after you have surgery.

Experiencia negativa: Anything outside of getting surgery done ST LOUIS BARIATRICS IS USELESS and both nurses I delt with had horrible attitudes with me as if I shouldn't be there truly sad they knew they did not have the weight loss medication weeks before I came in but let me continue to do labs and pay $200 per appointment to say oops were out but it would have taken her too long to contact all 38 of her patients

I immediately started doing research and reached out to Dr. Snow and his team at St. Louis Bariatrics. They were amazingly helpful and even got me scheduled to do my surgery the same time as the original establishment! During and after surgery, they've been so kind and helpful. I don't think I worked with one rude or even semi-unkind person throughout my process so far. I'm currently 6 days post op and am feeling amazingly. Thanks fully to St. Louis Bariatrics and Dr. Snow! Experiencia negativa: A waste of time. This woman pushes for surgery. She has a smug attitude and in my opinion is only looking to run up a bill. I waste a month of my life with zoom meetings and blood work and in office appointments only to tell me that my bp was to high. I have High blood pressure which she knew already. My bp will never be 140 over anything. She knew I wasn’t a good candidate for the meds and still had me waste my time just to run up a bill. I knew I didn’t trust her from the zoom meeting when she kept pushing for surgery.

Experiencia negativa: Communication is everything and unfortunately, the office staff at Dr. Snow's is not apparent. The first thing they do is check insurance, which I have, but they failed to mention exactly what my insurance needs-12 visits regarding discussion of weight loss. Why would I have paid for the initial consultation with Dr. Jay's nurse practitioner, when I would have known I didn't have 12 documented visits? Then, I get a bill for the phone call follow-up with Dr. Snow, and no one told me anything about this either. I am very disappointed in the lack of communication, and this is not how a medical office should operate.
