Experiencia negativa: I really like Dr. Voss, nothing bad against him but don’t ever get your lab work done here. Some of his medical assistants are the most incompetent people I’ve ever met in my entire life. He needs to hire better staff or an actual phlebotomist on site to make it more convenient for patients. They busted up the veins in both my arms and couldn’t fill a single tube. Now, I have to go to another lab or hospital on another day after my arms heal for what should be simple routine blood draw. Also they definitely compressed nerves because both my arms are sore and tingly. I know I have tiny rolling veins but omg how could they be so bad at their jobs LOL. I ended up fasting for no reason, and whole thing has been the biggest waste of my time. That is why I’m very annoyed. I don’t know about you, but my time is precious to me so DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME doing any lab work here, avoid at all costs!!! Like I said I like Dr. Voss though so I’ll still come see him but beware dealing with unskilled, inept, incapable staff. I think one of the PAs is okay, I also think the front desk girl is fast and efficient which I like. But everyone else… it’s a no from me. With all due respect, please be better!!

He is very patient and understanding, even when I ask a million questions. He is very determined to figure things out and I'm so glad that I have been feeling better thanks to him.

I feel that he worked with me to come up with a solution to medical issues instead of just telling me what to do or what to take. Also while I'm guessing this is for his own organizational records I like that he takes notes verbally which shows he is actually listening and noting what I have to say.

Dr Voss is very knowledgeable and lives what he teaches. Our toddler loves vegetables thanks to his training about food in the early years. I also like alternative remedies and this clinic respects my preferences.

Big offices can feel so impersonal and quickly rushed through while at Health plus clinic the staff knows me and my family and makes me feel very comfortable which is a new feeling for me regarding Doctors due to my high anxiety. He's noticed and diagnosed an ongoing joint issue I had been dealing with for years, helped me figure out adjust my ADHD medication, and SO much more. I've never had a doctor that cares as much as he does. He takes the time in each appointment to hear you out, and he makes sure you're an active participant in your health care. I recommend him and his team to EVERYONE I know. It's impossible to summarize how great they are in just one review on here, but TRUST ME - they're amazing.

Experiencia fantástica: As a first time patient, my visit was the most professional and interactive experience that I can remember. Dr Voss is very honest, focused, and great to talk with. The rest of the staff offered an equally positive experience. The assistant Josh was very friendly and helpful, as were the secretaries. Very excited to be a part of this clinic.

Experiencia negativa: Dr. Voss has treated me like a child in the ways he’s spoken to me. It’s patronizing. Another Dr. there also told me that I don’t have a sinus infection because I don’t have a fever, so they wouldn’t prescribe antibiotics. I’ve had several sinus infections in my life, and not once did they involve a fever, and I still got antibiotics that helped immediately. If you do a simple Google search, you’ll see that a fever usually isn’t a symptom of a sinus infection. Their remedy, Mucinex, is not working. Surprise. I think I know my own pain/body. I just want to feel like I’m being taken seriously.

Experiencia fantástica: I absolutely love Dr. Nelson and his staff here!! He has saved my life (quite literally!) When I was struggling with my mental health and has aided my recovery from SUD with such phenomenal compassion, empathy, and knowledge. I always feel fully involved in my treatment plans and am encouraged to ask any questions I may have. Erin is so sweet, competent, and skilled in her duties. The front desk ladies are even amazing! I am always greeted by name and made to feel important, comfortable, and welcome! If my appointment cannot be done via telehealth then I gladly make the trip from Sanpete County. That alone, should speak for itself.

Experiencia negativa: Dr. Voss staff and billing practices have definitely lowered in standards over the years. They will make you wait 3 hours for visit and then charge the insurance for an extended visit. The dr will bring up other concerns in a wellness checkup just to charge you. They have submitted claims for dates of service that my child was not seen on. Fun fact****The dr always assumes we are on medicaid. Not all minorities are on state assistance!!

They will give you their full attention and be very thorough to find and treat the root of your problem. If you want a visit where you're in and out as fast as possible, choose a different clinic--but for me, the quality of care is worth the wait.

Experiencia negativa: The doctor clearly overbooks patients and forces them to wait forever to be seen. Far shorter wait times at a walk-in emergency care place. Even with an appointment, I didn't see the doctor for about an hour. Even when I was their first appointment it came with a huge wait! One time the receptionist actually (very unconvincingly) lied to my face, telling me the hour long wait was my fault because I came in a half-hour early. That was complete bull. I was right on time. I'm almost never rude to customer service people. But after being lied to, I confronted the receptionist for lying to me and snapped at an MA. After that, the MA left an absurdly petulant, passive-aggressive message on my voicemail telling me they sent in my refill. Such a typical "Utah" way of dealing with people. Try to make them feel guilty to dodge your screwup. And the doctor seemed very keen on making sure I came in again and again for visits that seemed unnecessary, just for a common ADHD Rx refill. And each and every time it was a long, stupid, annoying wait. Worst service ever in a doctor's office.

Experiencia negativa: Wow. The billing department is dishonest. Listen to me and others when we warn you to NOT COME HERE. It is not worth your time or the hassle you will probably be dealing with months later. I brought my daughter in for her first check up. I paid at the time of service in full, out of pocket-no insurance. 3.5 months later I get a bill saying I owe more money. I called and it took a lot of back and forth phone tag for someone to finally figure out what I was being charged for. I was being charged for THEIR MISTAKE!!! They said, oops we charged you as a return patient instead of a new patient so you owe us the difference that these visits cost. They should have had better customer service and just eaten the cost. It wasn’t even that much. But it’s a matter of principle. Looks like they make these kinds of mistakes very frequently, charging others hundreds of extra dollars and expecting their patients to pay for the billing department’s mistakes. Oh, and then when you try and get it resolved, they will lie to you saying that the person in charge will call you but they won’t. They will write a cowardly email instead saying that you still owe them money and if you don’t pay it then interest will also be tacked on. If you want to avoid dealing with liars and thieves, stay away from this office. They will also write a robot response to this review saying they want to make things better and to contact them. They won’t many anything better. I already tried contacting the COO. They just want their dirty money. They lost all of my future business.

Experiencia fantástica: A total life saver. I travel full time and was 1,000 miles away from my family physician and had an emergency. Not only did they squeeze me in on short notice, they went above and beyond to solve my problem. They were super nice and also treated me like an adult. If I lived in Springville this is the place my family would lean on for our health issues. THANK YOU!

Experiencia negativa: Like other reviewers, I liked the doctor, but sadly, the back office is really quite awful. (Long story about billing dispute here.) I won't be returning to Health Plus Clinic. I would advise you to find another doctor, to avoid the problems I encountered.

Experiencia negativa: I came in 6 months ago for a sore throat. We had just changed insurances and our previous doctor was now out-of-network, so I took the opportunity to shop around. BIG MISTAKE!! The doctor himself was nice and seemed very helpful. However, I JUST got a bill for the visit last week (6 months later), and on the bill I saw they charged for a depression screening, $26 out of $40 that I'm responsible for paying. Well, I checked a few boxes on the mountain of paperwork they had me do before my visit, but other than that, there was absolutely no mention of depression from the doctor, nurses, or anyone else. So, I tried calling the office to get the charge removed. It took 4 days of back and forth calling before I finally got someone on the phone who could help me. When I did finally get someone to talk to about it, all she kept telling me was that a) the screening was required for new patients (no one EVER mentioned that it was required or that I would be charged for it) b) they didn't charge ME, they charged the insurance (but now it's coming back to me, so I'm not sure how that logic makes sense) c) even though the doctor never mention it once, it still counts as a medical service provided (again, that I never asked for nor was informed of). When I kept trying to tell her that the bill specifically listed out the screening as something I was being required to pay for, she kept insisting that the insurance fully paid for it and I was only being charged for the remaining balance on the "visit". Long story short: If you don't want to be charged for extraneous services that you didn't ask for and they won't tell you about, don't use this clinic. There are plenty of other clinics that don't pull shady stuff like this.

Experiencia negativa: Buckle up, this is a long one: My wife came here to get a mole looked at. The interesting thing is during the visit, the physician told her "Hey, you know this was a simple visit and we did more for a physical than look at your mole, we will just bill this as a preventative service." That was great because that's the only thing my insurance covers. I decided, since this was such a pleasant visit for my wife, I wanted to get a physical there. It was time. Now, with every family doctor/physician visit, I will casually bring up things that are wrong. Leg pain, cramps, stomach, just general. It's what you do. It's not like I went there for a specific issue, just brought up one thing and he told me what I could do. But because I have been screwed before, I made sure this was a physical and everyone in the room was in agreement. About two months later we received two bills from this doctor, totally a little over $600. We tried to argue this and they said it would be medical fraud if they changed it now. Funny that they waited two months to send us a bill then came up with that excuse. But, what do I know. I'm not a doctor nor do I work in the medical field. My bad for trusting the word of a doctor.

Experiencia negativa: Dr. Voss is a great doctor so why such a low rating you ask? Well he’s very knowledgeable; which unfortunately this makes this location very popular/busy. Even with scheduled appointments I’ve never waited less than 90 minutes to see him at this location. Today I waited over an hour just to see the nurse and have my blood drawn even though the appointment has been on the books for over a month. Between my last six appointments, I’ve wasted over nine hours in waiting and one of those appointments ended with the doctor telling me the blood work was not back and they couldn’t really do anything for me, but I was still charged for that visit. I think Dr. Voss is very sharp and sincerely wants to help all his patients get better, but I can’t afford to keep wasting so much time at this Springville practice I may have to seek out a new doctor altogether.

Experiencia fantástica: Very professional staff, and David Voss is an amazing physician. He has all the standard medical training, but he also keeps up his training into nutritional and other topics that don't just treat disease, but actually improve health. My sister in law was on a high priority list for a donor liver, and since Dave started working with her, her test results have actually shifted her to a lower priority because she has improved dramatically. Dave has helped my father with hormonal balancing, and now he is also working with me to counteract the effects of hormonal changes that result from aging. Truly amazing care and advice. Thank you for your excellent work Dave!
