Dr. Daniel graduated from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He has been in practice for 35 years and is board certified in Family Practice and a fellow in the American College of Ostopathic Family Physicians. He believes that exercise, proper nutrition, and maintaining a normal weight is key to ones health. He strives as CEO to make the Slim Care Medical Weight Loss Program both excellent and affordable.
Dr. Davis graduated from medical school at Kansas City University of medicine and Biosciences in 1980. He has been in practice for over 30 years. The majority of this practice time has been in Family Practice, an office setting, and in Emergency Medicine. He has a long standing interest in prevenitive medicine concepts which has been a part of his practice. He aslo has a long standing interest in Endocrinology, which is how hormones affect your health. He has written a number of articles on weight loss, nutrition, health, and hormones. He is currently counseling lifestyle and nutrition principles with the Slim Care weight loss program.
To start the program at Slim Care, you will need to make an appointment to see the Doctor. This appointment takes approximately 30-45 minutes. We will evaluate your health status and initiate a program to meet your weight loss goals.
Your cost on the first visit will be for prescribed medication, lab work, slim shots & any supplements that you decide with the doctor are best for you.
It is a courtesy of our Slim Care physicians to consult with you concerning your current health concerns, weight loss goals, & your options for our program. The initial consultation and follow up physician visits are free. Although, there will be a consultation fee of $30 if you decide this program is not for you after consulting with the doctor.
We do require current lab work for each patient, this has to be done within 30 days of your first visit. Lab cost is $60 & the 4 tests include: CBC, CMP, LIPID, TSH)
Most insurance companies will not cover these medications, etc. Slim Care does accept most FLEX, FSH or BENNY CARDS and we strive to make this as economical as possible so you can afford it without your insurance. We work with you as much as we can.

4 years ago Experiencia negativa: If I could give a negative star review I would. I have thought long and hard before I decided to leave this review. But, since I have been treated rudely twice in a row by the same person I need to leave this review. I have been getting shots from this business for over 20 years; way before it ever changed names. I am a disabled person and have a service dog and have had since I was a child. This one particular person has taken it upon herself to question me and my service animal which is against ADA Laws. She called the weight loss clinic “a doctors office.” A true doctors office would know better than to treat a patient the way she treated a disabled person. Then on top of that has treated me rudely again based on I am a military wife and my entire family is military. So not only did she discriminate against me based on my disability but then discriminate against me again based on my military status. It’s a shame that a business like this would employ such a person. Her rudeness is a reflection of what type of person she really is. I believe in karma it will come back to haunt her and this business if they continue to employ her when they get sued for discrimination. The response from the owner is only what is believed to be true in this persons head and no way what toke place. It’s condescending and if you were anyway respectful and wanted to keep private you would have reached out to me by phone. The reflection of your unacceptable actions speak loudly of what type of a person you are. Your rudeness is your problem not mine and don’t make it mine. I was rudely screamed at and questioned twice. There was no professionalism whatsoever in the way I was talked to or treated. The entire place full of people (employees) stopped to take notice why a person would be screaming in a “doctor’s office” at a paying customer. Using COVID-19 is no excuse to treat a long time customer the way you did me. Your greed of a small discount or one free shot which I have received many times in the past for buying multiple shots at once...has turned out to have lost my business altogether. According to your website “ The cost of a single HCG Slim Shot is $10.00, a triple HCG Slim Shot is $15.00, and the Fat Burning Slim Shot/Lipotropic is $15.00. B12 is included in all injections and are recommended weekly.” I have been paying more ...You have been overcharging me for quite a while . I know what the laws are for service animals not only because I have had a disability all my life but also because I graduated from law school at TU. You should be ashamed of yourself and maybe you should attend charm school.
Hi Melinda, I would like to respond to your review.
I like to believe that communication is key, especially in a situation like this.
As, I would have preferred a phone conversation or an in person meeting to help alleviate frustrations privately rather than publicly.
- Slim Care does allow service animals into their office as they are trained to perform many important tasks to help assist with disabilities and provide stability.
Per the ADA guidelines listed under the general rules- Q7 states:
- In situations where it is not obvious that the dog is a service animal, staff may ask two specific questions: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? and (2) What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?
The staff did not ask for any type of documentation to be shown or step out of the ADA guidelines.
Under the ADA guideline provided, Slim Care is within its rights as a business.

- Slim Care proudly supports our American heroes! Without our brave servicemen and servicewomen we would not have the freedom that we all love and cherish today.
Slim Care does ask all of our patients:
"Are you a active military/Veteran?"
You said, yes that you are active military/ Veteran. As most establishments including Slim Care, we do require some form of identification confirming military status to receive a complementary discount. We asked for a military identification card and then you stated that you are a spouse of a Veteran and should still receive the discount for being a spouse. Unfortunately, at this time we cannot extend the discount to friends and family. Slim Care is a small business and our small business has been greatly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. We would love to extend discounts to friends/family however, we do have to make limitations to be able to continue our appreciation and support to our servicemen/women.
I can say with certainty, at no point in time did our staff discriminate you "based on your military status". Staff members simply tried to explain that we cannot extend the complementary discount.
Several Slim Care employees are PROUD spouses to a serviceman and having the privilege to be able to stand next to our American Hero is better than what a small discount can offer.
Additionally, Slim Care's very own Dr. Daniel is a PROUD Navy Veteran that selflessly served in the Vietnam war.
We love to honor and support our military and take great pride in doing so.
The Covid-19 pandemic has been a very emotional and hard time for the entire world. Rather, than believing in karma. I have chosen to create positivity within myself by extending Grace to others during this trying time. Giving Grace to others has helped turned a bad moment/situation around immensely. We are all in this together. We need to stand United as a Nation to show honor to our military personnel who sacrifice it all for our Nation.

6 years ago Experiencia fantástica: I have been coming to Slim Care for about a year now. I have been receiving the HCG, B12 and Fat burning (Combo) Injections. They have really helped me with my weight loss and energy along with a really controlled diet and exercise. I have lost 95 pounds. I started out at 230 and now weigh 135. The staff is AMAZING. I love all the ladies there. They feel like family to me. I would recommend this place to anyone. 7 years ago Experiencia negativa: The clinic needs to revise its patient follow up policies. I read the reviews and myself see patients that have been prescribed phenteremine for years by your clinic. Some have extensive cardiac history, uncontrolled hypertension, abnormal ECHOs etc and it surprises me that most pts are unaware of proper use of phenteremine and the placebo effect of it after using it for certain length of time. But as long as they pay $80 you keep giving them scripts with no appropriate counseling on side effects and no changes made based on pt history.

7 years ago Experiencia negativa: I only gave one star because none isn't an option. I went there, with the intention of continuing my weight loss journey with them. I lost my job so I'm unable to continue. They refused to give me a refund of the $60 I paid for lab work I never received. Offered me a credit for vitamins, protein shakes, etc... With my being unemployed now, the refund would help me out a lot. This says a lot for their customer service.

So many times at different places, patients are treated like cattle, herded in and out and it is VERY MUCH different at Slim Care. They are NEVER to busy to answer questions or give you Information on their services!!! I can honestly say that I will NEVER go anywhere else!!!
