The staff are exceptional: always friendly, always supportive, and always ready to help with any issue, big or small. The community is just as impressive — somehow, they’ve built a membership of genuinely good people, which makes the atmosphere second to none. I’ve trained in countless gyms over the years, and Balanced Fitness is the one I kept going back to. It’s the one I can recommend above all others. Even though I don’t live in San Diego anymore, I’d still tell anyone living there — or even just visiting — to choose Balanced Fitness. Without a doubt, it’s the best training environment I’ve ever experienced in the city. Thank you to the whole team for everything.

Experiencia fantástica: I was visiting in La Jolla for 2 weeks over Christmas and New year and wanted a place where I could keep my workout regimen going. I looked into a few places and landed on Balanced Fitness. I could not have been happier. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and they provided me a very reasonable 2 week membership option. I used the facility multiple times during my stay and could not have been happier. The equipment was in great condition, the gym very clean, and I only had to wait one, very short time to use what I was looking for. I would definitely join full time if I were a local and will be back next time I visit. Thank you to Rich and the rest of the crew?

Everything is well maintained and always clean. The staff there are all very helpful, kind, and accommodating. Experiencia negativa: Did some equipment repair work here twice. Rebuilt 2 Woodway treadmills, fixed the rope machine that previous technician couldn't fix, replaced a bunch of hand grips back in Sept of 2022...the owner Rodrigo completely stiffed us. Never paid a dime. $4,500 worth of work and parts. CC declined, no money, no ethics. Steer clear

Experiencia fantástica: Many great things to say about this neighborly gym, the staff is friendly and personable. Plenty of weights and machines to help with any workout, good gym etiquette. I appreciate the no phone policy that keeps phone calls and filming from disturbing others. The bathroom is very spacious with a steam room inside. They also have cold eucalyptus towels to cool you down after a workout (my favorite).The final touch is the coffee and fruit they offer right when you walk in.

It's never overly crowded and the clients all give each other space and are considerate when someone wants to use the piece of equipment they're on. This gym has everything you'd want and need in a gym and it's a great price and in the best location. 10/10 would recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been going to this gym for years, even back when this gym was a 24 Hour Fitness location. Balanced carries a very different vibe from other gyms. The equipment and bathrooms are kept very clean, and it's rarely crowded. More importantly, it's a welcome environment for anyone. Whether you're trying to maintain mobility, lose some weight, or get into heavy lifting, you will find your place here. The staff is courteous and professional. I highly recommend the trainers here, especially Rob. He has a wide range of expertise. I've seen him work with people needing to regain mobility or master their power lifts. He has the right balance of encouragement while pushing you to work hard during the sessions.

Experiencia positiva: Recently I was unable to visit gym as I was having leg issues. I since returned and could not believe the gym etiquette displayed by an individual who sits on the bike for an hour talking on her phone with speaker on. I was unable to listen to my iPad with buds over her talking. The machines clearly state no iPhone use when on bike. Rules don’t seem to apply to this individual. Sad for me not for thee.

Tony at the front desk was highly professional, courteous and accommodating, and he seemed to embrace his position as a true professional and face of the company, not at all like those egotistical LA-Fitness thugs who act like they belong in prison. Keep him around and raise him high, gentlemen, because Tony is a gem.

Experiencia fantástica: We took a few days off to come over to La Jolla, California and enjoy their beautiful city. Our hotel gave us a complimentary pass to Balanced Fitness and Health. We got a very welcoming greeting as we entered. Not only did we get a great workout, we got excellent service from the employees! The gym was clean and the equipment was more than we expected. This was a wonderful start to our day.

Experiencia fantástica: I don't want to share my gym because it is never crowded and is immaculate but I also want them to succeed. Great selection of equipment. I do powerlifts and functional training. They always have what I need. Can't wait for the suana to open. The drink fridge is convenient too. They have vegan protein shakes and clean energy drinks. Every staff member is so nice. Rob is a brilliant coach.

Experiencia fantástica: Perfect Gym! This gym is a hidden gem in La Jolla. I love how everything is on the same level- makes it very easy and efficient to get a workout in. Great selection of cardio machines, space to do floor exercises, and resistance machines. I enjoyed using the Concept2 Rower. This is a great gym to go in and get your workout done with out distractions. Very clean and the hours are great. The staff and owner is very nice and helpful. Next time I’m in San Diego I will definitely be working out at Balanced Fitness and Health!

They have all the equipment basics covered, and I’ve never had to wait for a bench, squat rack, etc. The staff is super friendly, and the ladies locker room is huge and well maintained. I am even more impressed they keep their rates so reasonable. Best gym in La Jolla!

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I recently moved the La Jolla, California area, and are on a daily workout schedule, and needed to find a fitness facility here. After checking out other facilities in town, we stopped at Balanced Fitness and Health. Rob greeted us and gave us a tour of the facility. It has all of the equipment we were accustomed to and others that we have since added to our work out regime for an even more balanced workout. The facility is hyper sensitive to cleanliness; there is always someone cleaning and wiping down equipment. The staff and members are friendly and there is always workout equipment available along with a variety of classes. Best of all…..we always feel better when we walk out the door! Donna and Mickey

Experiencia fantástica: Guess what... it's a gym! Haha. Super happy it's open and the staff is top notch. It has what you would expect from a gym, heavy things, things attached to cables, places to sit and lift heavy things, and some extra goodies like steel cages, rope machine, clean bathrooms, and windows. I think windows are cool so that's nice. I also think the hours are great, because I am a creature of habit but sometimes you just want to sneak in an evening or afternoon workout on the weekend and they are open to make that happen.

Experiencia positiva: I am a member, but looking around. This gym is nice and quiet, but missing some basic cable machines that I like to use. So It’s not as nice of machines as the former 24 Hour here but it’s twice the price.
