Experiencia negativa: Probably the worst experience I have had at any medical facility. Dr. Sarkinen is cold, rude, and treats you as though you are stupid for even coming in and on top of that will shame you for not being on birth control! Doctors, especially OBGYN’s should celebrate women’s rights to CHOOSE while we still have them! PLEASE GO ANYWHERE ELSE!! Yikes.

Experiencia negativa: I would highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs. I went here with my second because it was one of the only midwives near by. My care was spotty. At 14 weeks after being sick I had slight spotting and came in worried. I saw Katie Timcho. I was assured it was most likely normal or a yeast infection. The Dr listened to my babies heart beat for all of 3 seconds and said they were ok. I drove home the point of are you sure it’s just a yeast infection? What if it isn’t? She nonchalantly said it was all fine and normal. (I used to work as a midwife and am a mom already. Bleeding isn’t normally fine.) After not being listened to I went home and they gave me the results back by email saying no yeast infection. I ended up going to the emergency room that night and delivering my son. Had the doctor Katie Timcho taken me seriously my son might have lived. I posted in a moms group warning about Oakdale OBGYN and had close to 30 other moms say they had terrible care there too. There was a total of 3 moms who said they had good care there. If you’re High risk or not I’d find another place.

Experiencia negativa: I would not suggest if your pregnant women of color. I noticed they can be dismissive of things like discomfort or pain. Will sometimes make passive aggressive comments and more. My concerns were often dismissed with little to no reassurance.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Palmer is amazing! He has a great bed side manner and was the first physician to get to the bottom (literally reviewed my entire chart and connected the dots) of what was wrong and fixed it! I've been miserable for 10 months and no other doctors could figure out what was wrong. I'm extremely blessed that I was referred to Dr. Palmer and so thankful for him giving me my life back. Thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent efficient appointment and responses to expressed concerns. Clear options communicated. Good 'bedside' manner. Thorough yet quick understanding of expressed issues as well as providing treatment options. The doctor 'gets it' and gets down the issues quickly!

Experiencia fantástica: I am always dissatisfied with the providers I typically see because of how rushed I feel with them and how eager they seem to be just get done. This time, however I loved who I saw. Not only did she take the time out to answer all my questions but she gave me suggestions on medications/care. It’s typically me doing my research and just asking the provider but this time I felt like I was going to a real healthcare provider.

They have helped with everything from general women's health to managing a high risk pregnancy. They listen, answer all of your questions and are respectful.

A special thanks to Katherine Timcho, WHNP, who went above and beyond to ensure all my questions were answered. She took the time to explain in detail what I should eat and conducted multiple tests to make sure everything was progressing well. Her thoroughness and kindness were truly appreciated. I highly recommend Oakdale OBGYN to any expecting moms out there. Thank you for making my experience so positive!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to Oakdale for over 10 years starting in my teens and for the entirety of my 20’s- for a wide variety of care including routine visits and all 3 of my pregnancies (even a few losses). I would NEVER consider going elsewhere for my care as I can confidently say in the entire 10 years I have not had one bad experience, not one provider ever seemed unqualified or uninterested in providing me the best care, I have had nothing but pleasant experiences the whole way through. After the Crystal location closed I typically went to the Maple Grove Hospital location, but as of lately I have been going to the Plymouth location and have been very pleased with their time efficiency compared to other locations. Although all locations have been great, from personal experience Plymouth has been quick but extremely thorough- therefor this is my preferred location currently. Any location provides a great level of care however. Thank you to everyone involved at Oakdale (Premier Women’s Health)!

Dr Sarkinen listens to her patients, has helpful experience and creative ideas when questions/issues arise. Her pleasant demeanor puts you at ease. The entire staff at Premier Women's Health of MN - Oakdale OBGYN genuinely seem to care about women's health and are kind and professional. The seminars, emails and videos that they share with patients are helpful and cover a variety of women's health issues.

Experiencia negativa: Our first daughter died in the womb on her due date. Oakdale OBGYN didn’t test for Beta Strep at that time because they didn’t think it was necessary. The whole 9 month pregnancy visit history was on one page. That was the file…one page. Dr Harry Farb delivered two healthy children later in life with the use of BStrep testing. He’s not with Oakdale

Experiencia negativa: RATE INFORMATION FOR NEW VISIT: Base cost of a new visit as of 2021: $340 billed to insurance company With anthem blue cross blue shield: $212 UTI screening test: $8 Visit to a different clinic after I was misdiagnosed: $0 with insurance So I went here for the first time this year based on good reviews. Without getting into too much detail, I am young and suspected some sort of UTI or similar infection. I got a total of roughly 30 minutes of service, with no diagnostic exams except for a test for a UTI. In spite of this I was diagnosed with a chronic disease (Interstitial Cystitis) and referred to physical therapists and a urologist. When I asked for more information about this chronic condition, the doctor that I was visiting with googled the condition in front of me. I went somewhere else the next day, had essentially every diagnostic exam known to man done for me, and was put on antibiotics. This solved my issue. I spent a total of 1.5 hours and my insurance covered everything. My conclusion? I am never coming here again. Biggest waste of $212.

Experiencia negativa: The real pandemic is how little providers care about peoples health, they have 20min and they need to get you out the door. I am very thorough in my job and providers should be held to the same standard. So tired of them not reviewing my health history/chart and going directly to medication for anything and everything. Someone’s health should not depend on a checklist, and I shouldn’t have to go to multiple visits to get answers. The whole point of going to a Dr is to see someone who has done medical school and has experience and now a days they have you see a nurse and send you on your way.

I also received my results within the week which was imperative as I was supposed to travel outside the country relatively soon. Would definitely recommend this clinic location!

Experiencia positiva: The front desk/triage staff can often make or break a clinic. I'm glad I didn't go with my first instinct because then I would have missed out on some really great providers. Dr. Manneh and Dr. Zhang were both absolutely lovely, answered all my questions and provided additional explanations and fantastic resources for me to learn more in my own time, which has really helped to alleviate some of the anxiety of being a first time mom! I'm only taking away a star because the current front desk/nursing staff at this location demonstrates a "get paid and go home" attitude that detracts from the overall experience. That being said, I'm grateful for the entire staff's contributions during Covid and look forward to continuing my healthcare journey with this team.

Experiencia positiva: Was 9 minutes late after calling to let them know that I would be late due to the symptoms I was having (which is why I needed this appointment) if I was 10 minutes late then “might have to reschedule”. I arrive and the receptionist was rude and not understanding of my circumstances at all. Made me feel as if I was annoying her more than anything. I had waited about a month for this appointment and drove a half an hour just to have my appointment cancelled and to be treated disrespectfully. UPDATE: The clinic manager Lisa got in contact with me and was absolutely wonderful. I felt taken care of and she assisted in rescheduling me an appointment as soon as possible. The doctors and managers are great, receptionist could use some customer services skills.

Experiencia fantástica: This was a fantastic experience. The staff are super friendly and it this was my first time meeting Kelly Ihry (for a yearly exam) She was SO PERSONABLE, I felt like I was just chatting with a friend and nothing about all the questions or exam was awkward. Very impressed!

Experiencia fantástica: After my first birth (at another clinic) was a C-section, I did a lot of research to try and find a clinic that would safely support me in a VBAC. Dr. Manneh was absolutely incredible. She set our expectations reasonably along the way (told us that we had a 2/3 chance of successful VBAC, based on objective physical criteria), and has a great bedside manner. My husband attended appointments with me (and she ended up being our delivering doctor) and agrees that she is the BEST provider either of us has ever seen. I will add that the clinic is very busy - scheduling can be a challenge if you work, but they are very good about working things out, and I think you'd be hard-pressed to find an excellent clinic that doesn't have scheduling challenges. To me, a busy clinic means they are in high demand, which means they are good at what they do. I can definitely attest to that. Or at least to Dr. Manneh's credentials. We did end up with a successful VBAC, after quite a bit of drama that Dr. Manneh helped us safely navigate. We are so so thankful and will return to her again for our third pregnancy, even though the clinic is a little further from where we've moved.

Experiencia fantástica: I Highly recommend Dr. Sarkinen! I have some issues that I struggled with at my age, many doctors I saw treated me as nothing. The FIRST time I met Dr. S she took about 20 minutes getting to know me. I thought what the heck! Ha! I was pleased. She calmed my anxiety about things and really made me see the negatives can be positives. A year later at my next physical, she remembered a lot. yes, I know they take notes, but some of the details I shared were not ones you write down. THANK you, so much!

Experiencia negativa: I chose this location based on a specific Dr. that was recommended by my local moms group, however the two times I tried calling to schedule anything, the staff was so rude I will never get the opportunity to see if that Dr. was worth the hype. Cannot stand rude people. If you don't like your job, change it. Otherwise change your attitude.

Experiencia negativa: Are the Doctors here really specialists? The one I saw multiple times definitely wasn't. She decided to sweep my issues under the rug and told me I didn't need to have any further tests. I'm so glad I listened to myself and got a second opinion!! Hey Doctors, try doing some homework before you see your patients a second and then a third time!!

Going to an OBGYN is a very scary experience for some and though I was not scarred I was certainly uncomfortable to say the least. I am writing this review several years after my experience here it was so bad. The staff were all cold and unfriendly upon arriving at the office. I waited in the waiting room for about 20 minutes which I thought to be a ridiculous amount of time. I then was called in for Dr Wilcox. She was cold, intimidating and unfriendly and became even more so when I had mentioned I would like to be put on bc. They also *completely* screwed up a routine blood draw. When I called to speak with someone regarding the error the manager denied any Dr or clinic responsibility and had ZERO empathy for the situation. Dr Wilcox was HORRIBLE and the clinic was just yucky. The multiple bad reviews about this place speak volumes. RUN from this place.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to Oakdale OBGyn for over 20 years and have never had any negative experiences. Had midwives for the births of my 2 children, go for my annual every year, had a "scare" once but they took good care of me. I have been with C. Sarkinen for a really long time and she always takes time to listen to me and my concerns. Sure, they may be in a rush most of the time, but isn't that the case with most doctor's offices? If they don't keep on schedule then they'll be late for YOUR appointment ;) Can you just imagine how hard it must be to deal with all of us hormonal women?! Lol

Experiencia negativa: Julie Zook review took the words right out of my mouth! As a FTM I expected more and if it wasn't for the apps on my phone (baby center, and what to expect) I'd be so lost I feel they aren't informative AT ALL & seem very rushed. At my last appt I asked what to expect my next appt and she said probably Tdap luckily I knew what it was because she didn't explain what it was, why it was useful, if it was mandatory NOTHING. They also aren't good with following up with test results or solutions. Looking forward to my insurance changing in January and finding a new clinic even though I'm due end of March

Experiencia fantástica: Very punctual clinic. I have never waited longer than 60 seconds in the waiting room. Always on time with helpful appointment reminders via text. Dr. Sarkinen is a wizard. Best doctor ever. Very professional staff. They are also very flexible with appointment availability due to the number of locations.

Experiencia negativa: Unorganized, no sense of care and super late on their appointments. Crystal and maple grove are so much better. Waited 30 minutes for a simple blood draw and then had to wait another 30 minutes to get my ultra sound. Ridiculous.
