She’s thorough, knowledgeable and most of all a caring and compassionateI human being. I’m a health care practitioner myself and can say with 100% certainty the health and well being of her patients is her top priority. And in addition to being a great physician, her demeanor and bedside manner with kids is fantastic. My daughter actually looks forward to her doctor’s visits! I highly recommend her!

2 years ago Experiencia fantástica: As parents, we trust our children (6) to this place, yearly check-ups or emergency appointments. But our last appointment was a little odd, there is a new lady in the front desk, young but really bad manors, anyway. I recommend these practitioners. 10/10

My mother is raving about the Extend-track treatment to help her back after a car accident. And the hyperbaric oxygen treatment has greatly helped my daughter. Amazing holistic center

3 years ago Experiencia negativa: No regard for peoples time. Packing in visits before vacation and after a 50min wait I inquired and was told it’d be another 20-30min. So, 90 min for a visit.. I just left instead and will find another place.

The office manager should give a courtesy call to patients if the appointment will be delayed! Sitting in a stiff uncomfortable chair for an hour waiting only added to my pain! Completely overbooked!

4 years ago Experiencia fantástica: It is very refreshing to meet a doctor who actually cares for the individual child and not only meeting the vaccine quotas pharma pays big bucks for. Finally - a doctor that hasn't been #BOUGHT. I can't recommend highly enough.

5 years ago Experiencia negativa: Horrible. Doctors won't refill prescriptions when you are in pain, even if you have refills left, you need authorization for each one which they won't give unless you do an appointment each month. Then the doctor I see is only there Fridays and not even every Friday. The appointment consists of waiting 30 minutes, then sitting in the room and having him refill the prescription in front of you. Then they ask the same questions as last time because they don't care to remember your condition. They offer no help whatsoever for your condition or care about your pain. Just about billing your insurance company. Reception staff is not much better. Finding a different pain management doctor.

5 years ago Experiencia fantástica: My daughter was treated with kindness and professionalism throughout her 15 sessions. After a dislocated knee cap, Tom Page and his staff not only did a great job getting her knee stronger, they made my daughter feel comfortable. Tom is knowledgeable and relatable. Great job by all at the Northport Wellness Center!
5 years ago Experiencia fantástica: My daughter is healthy and thriving because of J. Zethner NP and Dr. Sherr. My daughter sees Jenny once a year for physical and Dr. Sherr monthly for adjustments. They're both excellent practitioners. Great bedside manner, knowledgeable and compassionate. I highly recommend them.

5 years ago Experiencia negativa: Terrible! You have to wait 4 days to get some one on the phone to get an appointment. Then you when you finally get them you speak to very nasty receptionist, who sound overworked or do not know what they are doing. Just to save you time Dr. Palevsky is not taking new patients. Your welcome.

6 years ago Experiencia fantástica: An amazing center! I primarily use for chiropractors and pediatrics but there is a network of doctors at your disposal! Even plastic surgery should you need it! Dr. Sherr is great, they're amazingly accommodating too.

Even if you just have a conversation with him you will see what a special man he really is. Dr. Sherr and The Northport Wellness Center is a staple in the Long Island Community for years and we are so lucky to have them!

Three of my eight children reacted very badly to their vaccinations, and my twins are now autistic as a result. If only our physician had been as wise and brave, we might have been spared the heartbreak! Keep fighting the good fight!

6 years ago Experiencia fantástica: My kids have been seeing Dr. Palevsky for years now, and I couldn't be more grateful to find such a caring and knowledgeable doctor. He has helped my son recover from developmental delays and he is now healthy, typical boy. Highly recommend the wellness center, it's the place to go if you want to get to the "root" of your problem and not just treat symptoms.

Instead of pushing meds down your throat like most doctors they actually listen and take there time with patients and try to help with diet changes and heal you by actually listening to your symptoms not rush you out of the office and prescribe something.
6 years ago Experiencia fantástica: I cannot even begin to speak about how amazing Dr. Sherr, Dr. Reid and the rest of the staff at this practice is...when I tell you it has truly changed mine and my kids life is an understatement! I literally drive 40 mins 2-3x a week here so that should speak volumes on what this practice means to me! I trust Dr. Sherr on his opinions and views because they have always been spot on! I couldnt recommend this practice enough and not to mention Dr Sherr and his staff are the NICEST human beings!

6 years ago Experiencia fantástica: Can’t say enough about Northport Wellness Center. My family has been seeing Dr. Sherr for over 7yrs. So great full for everything he has done for my family. Dr. P is also a wonderful doctor. I always turn to his protocols when my children are ill. The only doctors I trust with my family. From the staff to the practitioners they are all truly amazing. I can’t thank them enough.
6 years ago Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Sherr has always been so patient and kind to my children whenever we have gone there for an appointment. We can get same day appointments when the kids don’t feel well. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
6 years ago Experiencia fantástica: Dr P is an amazing pediatrician . He is extremely knowledgeable and truly cares about his patients. He gives children bodily autonomy and respect. He answers all your questions and does not rush you. We are so grateful for him.

As soon as you step in the door, a feeling of ease and calm just overwhelms you. Dr. Sherr is the most amazing doctor I have ever known, and I am so blessed to have found him 7 years ago. 6 years ago Experiencia fantástica: Been visiting the Northport Wellness Center for over 14 years. Dr. Sherr is amazing as is the rest of the providers in the office. Dr. Sherr always listens to your concerns and has helped me and my children in countless ways. Love all the services offered, nothing is ever pushed on you and some/most providers accept insurance.

9 years ago Experiencia negativa: I started going to this place with the possibility they'd tell me something new and that we'd try something new. I completed a 23 page document and submitted it on line. Very impressive. But the rest has been disappointing. Although Dr. Pappas D.O. (their anesthesiologist) may have suggested something new for my back (radio frequency ablation), I believe it's all about the billing for Alan Sheer and the other doctors they have on retainer there. The first and second appointment with Alan Sheer which was basically a consult, which cost me $225.00 out of pocket they said "they'll submit to my insurance company". They didn't. The third appointment I had an ultra sound done by Sanford Davis, MD a radiologist to determine the severity of inflammation. Nothing new there.I have bulging discs L3 - L5. What do you expect? Plus they made me see a nurse practitioner there that gave me muscle spasm shots. Didn't need. The 4th appointment with Alan Pappas was just a review of my ultrasound results. The 5th appointment I received a steroid injection per my request from Dr. Pappas because I was going on a week long vacation to Europe and I didn't want to be caught unexpected with more back pain after driving 1,000 miles. After each appointment I saw Alan Sheer. I am not a workman's comp or personal injury claimant so all billing goes to my insurance company and I am suppose to pick up the balance which they apply to my credit card upon leaving the office. Unfortunately, I left a card on account instead of being billed direct. Not only do they bill me for things I don't want (back brace) but they bill me for things I did not approve. Most recently for electrotherapy electrodes which was submitted to my insurance company for $2,546.96 of which $1,815.19 was approved leaving me with a balance of $731.77 which again they'll probably hit my credit card for. If they do I am returning the electrodes. I never use my EMS 500 muscle stimulator because I am beyond that situation. I need relief not pain management. I cancelled my 5th appointment wit Dr. Pappas and Alan Sheer and scheduled an appointment with my anesthesiologist. I'll get my radio frequency abulation done there. This organization may be good for some one with a pending lawsuit but it's not for me.
