Experiencia negativa: Contacted Dr. Amaro for biote pellet therapy. After my wife and I called several times I finally received an email with the forms to fill out and return. Received an email reply saying I would be contacted to schedule an appointment. 1 month later, never been contacted. I leave the review because Dr. Amaro has such a positive reputation. I would hate to think his office staff would damage that. If they didn't want a new patient, just say that.

Experiencia positiva: Although it has been a while since I have been in, still remember how amazing Dr.Amaro and his staff are!!! He found answers to questions of 10 years! He is top notch and he LISTENS. I found him to be very caring, compassionate, compulsive, and straight up about everything! Couldn’t say enough GREAT things about him ! Thank you Dr. Amaro. Now a few years later ... Although with that being said ... I recently called to make an appointment, (Insurance has changed and possibly able to afford to go to all Natural medications). I called and a young lady answered , she didn’t reveal a name at any time. I was told to come back to Dr. Amaro, I would have to see a Nurse Practitioner. I expressed that I wasn’t sure I would like doing that (I have never more than I can count on one hand in 25 years ever had to see a Nurse practitioner) I was abruptly placed on hold And after sitting on hold for SEVERAL minutes, then phone picked up and replaced on hold and sitting for several more minutes I received an answering machine and was told the office was unavailable and leave a message . I did just that. I Then called back to the office and asked if it was an answering service and the lady that answered told me that they have no answering service and then to hold please , and the girl I spoke with earlier got back on the phone to tell me that Dr. Amaro is no longer accepting new patients! THIS BECAUSE I QUESTIONED RATHER I WOULD WANT TO SEE A NURSE PRACTITIONER! I told her Thank you and Good Bye ! This staff did not seem to be the same girls that worked there 3-4 years ago ! I have never been treated so rudely and dismissed as though I did not matter ! My reason for wanting to return to integrative medicine is because I was diagnosed by Dr. Amaro with Lymes Disease when I was seeing him in the past. Things have progressed and I believe there are better treatment plans and thought maybe I could have a better chance overcoming this with him ! That’s all I really wanted to do !

Our entire family has moved from other providers, and we see him for all of our primary care needs. If Allopathic medicine has failed to provide you with the relief you need, you deserve to leave the 'M.D. box' and return to health.

Experiencia positiva: The office visits are very good. The staff is professional and kind and treat the patients with dignity and respect. I believe they spend a great deal time getting to know me and are concerned with providing the best possible care. My complaint concerns the way that refills are handled. On several occasions I have gone without my medications after speaking with staff on the phone who promised to take care of it. The last time it happened I spoke with two different staff members and still went without my thyroid medicine for four days. I wish this process would be addressed, and it may have been, as my last experience was very positive and my request was handled promptly without any problem.

After dealing with several health issues for years and being told I was a hypochondriac and a worry wart it was a relief to find a doctor who is determined to get to the root of the problem and not just write a prescription for the symptoms. After only one week on my food sensitivities diet I could already tell a BIG difference. I had been using 3 energy drinks a day just to function. After one week I had more energy than I have had in years and that is with NO energy drinks!! As I have continued (I just finished my fifth week) I am seeing great improvements in several of the other issues too. It has definitely been worth the sacrifice! Thank you Dr. Amaro & staff!!!
