Experiencia fantástica: This gym is really a great gym to be a part of. The trainers are well worth at least speaking to. Noel the owner is really great and friendly. Won’t find a better gym for making any sort of progress.

Experiencia negativa: The owner of the gym makes remarks and comments about people in rude ways based out of hatred. Do not go here unless you are a hateful person.

Experiencia fantástica: Moved in the area and was looking for a gym near by. I’m pretty picky with the gyms I go to, and notice commercial gyms have a lot of hidden fees and machines that are useless. And the fact that you have to wait for a machine is annoying. Came to foster fitness and had the machines I was looking for. Owner is super nice and helpful. Everyone who is there to workout minds their own business, but are nice and can help you if need to. Also a plus for animal lovers, there are always a cat or dog here that enjoy a scratch here and there in between your sets.

Experiencia negativa: Warning for anyone considering joining this gym: the other reviews are true, this guy will continue to charge your credit card years after cancelling a membership. There are better local options that won't scam you and also don't have blatant health violations like dogs and cats in the gym. I learned the hard way that the cheapest gym comes with some hidden costs. Gym homies beware.

Experiencia negativa: The men’s bathroom has always reeked of piss soaked carpets which for some reason they haven’t gotten rid of, regardless of the stains and smell that they are likely nose-blind to. I’ve seen a trail of pee running from under a urinal to the carpet. Who keeps carpet in a bathroom/shower room, in a building that has bare concrete floors everywhere else with no issue? Rubber mats exist for a reason. Same bathroom has had a toilet seat that has been ready to fall off for months. But they would only notice that if they made an effort to check on these things or clean it. Also, a handful of times I’ve found that the place also likes to close at least an hour early some days on the weekend, even with me double checking that the website/instagram/google maps hours haven’t been updated to reflect it. No sign on the door. Sometimes even with the open sign still lit up.

Experiencia fantástica: Exactly what you need for a gym. Every basic machine that you need for working out is there and available to you. They have everything you need when it comes to a good workout. And the staff are top notch, they know exactly what they're doing and help you out with whatever you need

Experiencia fantástica: Noel Fuller is the most renowned Trainer in Oregon. No frills, no gimmicks, straight forward Training and Diet. Have not trained in 20 yrs. due to Back injury, but Still using his Diet today. 56 yrs. old. Thank you Noel!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I was just passing through town and needed somewhere to get a quick lift - I'm happy I stopped into Foster Fitness. Nothing fancy or flashy here but everything you need - plenty of free weights, machines, and a rack. The owner was friendly and the atmosphere was focused. Affordable day pass compared to other places, as well! I look forward to stopping in on my next visit.

Experiencia fantástica: Love Foster Fitness! The owner, Noel, got my husband and I started with five training sessions addressing all muscle groups in a three day workout rotation. We love it and can feel we are getting stronger each week. Fun, down-to-earth facility with lots of machines. And some sweet cats! It’s comfortable to work out in the space-A/C runs great when it’s hot and everyone is friendly. A great gym. Thanks Noel!

Experiencia negativa: Hate to write a negative review of a neighborhood business but didn't have a great experience. Went in for personal training appointments in November and put $150 down for 3 sessions. Trainer just booked appointments through text which felt unstructured. They never showed up for second session so I requested a refund for the last two. After going down there in December and being promised a refund via paypal in one week, here I am months later with no refund. I sent multiple texts back and forth, including one where I was told they didn't have a record of the payment which I showed them in my bank account. Seems like a cool place to go work out but they proved to be untrustworthy.

Experiencia negativa: I signed up and the gym was great. Cats and dogs were on the machines, and I didn’t mind. But I let the owner, Noel, know that I was moving to TX and that I needed to cancel my membership. He had me write my name down on a post it note and said he’d take care of it. Well that was March 2023. I just realized I’ve been getting charged this entire time quarterly. I’ve tried calling and calling, nobody picks up. I’ve also looked at reviews where other people have had this same issue and he refuses to be held accountable. If you cancel your membership, get it in writing. I’ve had to change my CC number just to stop this, and I’ve had the bank now get involved to get some of my money back. This business is not run properly in regard to financial responsibility.

Experiencia negativa: This is the second time my card has been charged for a 6 month membership after canceling. That's $200 a pop. I initially signed up for a 6 month membership. My plan was to not renew after the 6 months. I was billed at the 5 month mark. I called Noel Fuller the owner multiple times. He assured me he'd cancel it. He didn't. Had to go through my credit card company. Now 2 months later there's another $200 charge pended on my account. You be the judge.

Experiencia negativa: The manager asked for an updated card, I told him tried on the app and over the phone and they couldn't do it that way but I didnt have it on me since I only come to the gym with my headphones and phone. I told him if he needed to put it on hold so it'd remind me better to do that or I can add another bank account. I get to stretching, 5 minutes later i get an email stating my membership is cancelled, when I asked him about it he said i was being dismissive and that i told him to cancel it but i said to put it on hold. He said they can cancel for whatever reason they want and shrugged. Sure i was aggitated but wasnt being irrational. I did figure it out with my home gym but the manager here is giving power trip vibes.

Experiencia positiva: There is a lot packed into the space. Extreme variety for getting in a quality workout. For me, the downside was the hours, and the cleanliness of the facility. I prefer a workout in the AM (5) when most people do not crowd in, and you aren’t exhausted from work. The facility is tightly packed so you smell everyone getting a quality workout during the busy hours. The equipment was in great working condition, but dirty. Cleaning supplies didn’t seem to be available for me to sanitize myself either. I did not return. I did not ask for a refund these were all personal preferences. I would suggest a survey being offered to new clients as the facility also did not have a way of tracking customer flow or opinions.I would also like to add that the clientele was one type. Not sure if this was on purpose, but the environment did not seem welcoming and inclusive.

Experiencia fantástica: Been training here for years. Always feel welcomed by Noel and other trainers, as well as other gym peoples; never feel judged. Animal friendly. Clean. Just an overall good vibe!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I've started working out here about two weeks now. The owner, Noah, is awesome. He has been training me on weight lifting. Super nice guy. The equipment is well maintained. Killer art work inside and out. I plan on staying with this place for a while. The prices are very reasonable. Check this place out.

Experiencia fantástica: Great gym with lots of strength training equipment: free weights, squat racks and machines. If you want to achieve your goals sooner I recommend using one of their personal trainers. Noel (the owner) is an awesome personal trainer. Being a busy parent, I appreciate how efficient and effective his workouts are. Foster Fitness is a friendly place with great people. Definitely one of the best gyms in portland Oregon. Much better than those chain gyms.

The owner Noel is a very knowledgeable trainer and specializes in nutrition and contest prep. Everyone is so friendly it’s like a big family. Members have been members for years. Experiencia fantástica: Great local gym, cool vibe. Noel was nice and didn't charge me an arm and a leg while i was visiting portland over labor day weekend. I am super grateful and got great workouts in. Also, he made it easy whereas the planet fitness down the street wanted me to fill out all this paperwork, route bank payments, and charge me a startup membership fee just to use their facility for a few days.

Experiencia fantástica: Classic neighborhood gym with everything I look for in a weights experience: no BS, cheap, plenty of free weights and machines, and friendly staff. Noel is a great gym owner and has created a relaxed environment that makes it easy to work out and get personal training and help. Everyone I have talked to in the gym has been friendly, and the regulars are mostly pretty experienced. If you are looking for a no frills place to get strong, this is it.

Experiencia negativa: I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you read ANYTHING that is given to you to sign from this place. Aside from that their clintel is soooo miniscule it leads me to believe they will "accidentally" fail to say "oh btw signing this financially binds you to this facility for a year. You have a week to cancel after you sign!" None of witch was said to me, they could care less to go over anything that you're signing. Which leaves me under the impression most of their clientele is tricked and they are hoping/betting on you not reading their binding contracts to begin their wallet siphoning... Being done wrong like this doesn't even deserve 1 star. I know of at least 5 people that are stuck in their scheme.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent atmosphere with emphasis on motivation and community. Owner and staff are welcoming and willing to work with you on the goals you are hoping to achieve. Having gone to and worked at many commercial gyms I know the typical run around with contracts and the fees they hide, so it was a sigh of relief to find a gym that is straight forward about everything!

Experiencia negativa: Horrible service! I would not recommend. His prep drug advice lead to a two day hospital visit. The Doctors said I was very lucky nothing permanent happened to me. When I told him what happened he acted like he didn't care and was rude. STAY AWAY!!!
