Experiencia fantástica: The Kaplan center has changed my life! I had chronic pain, fatigue, and fevers for months with no help from doctors as to what was wrong. They ran so many tests and told me it was anxiety. The PA Nidi Reva was the first physician to take me seriously. Within a month she found out I had babesiosis through blood tests. I went through an intense treatment through the Kaplan center for 3 months, and now I am parasite free. I went from having to leave university and being bedridden to going back to school full time. I have my life back, and Nidi Reva is to thank for that! The Kaplan center is definitely the most welcoming and compassionate medical facility I’ve ever been to! I’m forever grateful for them!

Experiencia fantástica: Now the Bad News After my 2nd Vaccine Shot I immediately had a burning down my arm I knew something wasn’t right. I went home and that night I woke up my whole body was having convolutions witch let in to a really bad headache the worst I have ever had I couldn’t see straight. We had to take my son to his doctor and my wife drove and I asked what’s happening to me I feel like I’m dying they said its normal and my body is building immunity. All I could say was I didn’t like her normal. The next few months were hell between the runs headaches then the left side of my face went numb felt like I was having my wisdom teeth pulled out the hole side of my face was numb. That went away after 4 weeks but then I woke up and I couldn’t move my right arm I could move my fingers but not my shoulder it was frozen. I went to the doctors and they did and MRI and a cat scan and said I needed surgery to fix. In between then I started having blackouts. I would be driving and it was like I blinked my eyes and I didn’t know where I was going or even where I was. This is a very scary feeling of hopelessness. They operated on my shoulder and then a few weeks later I woke up and couldn’t straighten my leg it was locked in place. I forced it and with a snap it seemed to break free but then it happened again and again until the pain was unbearable when back to the orthopedic specialist and after an MRI he said I needed surgery again but after this surgery I was in so much pain I couldn’t walk the a few weeks later I felt like a horse kicked me in the chest. But after a few minutes I seemed ok just really tired and then I collapsed my wife and son got me to the car and took me to the hospital and at 1st they said I was having a heart attack but when they gave me the 2nd dose of nitroglycerin I started to expire (yes my heart stoped). They gave me a shot which brought me back but then they didn’t want to touch me after that. They then transported me to Mount Vernon Hospital Critical care unit. There the heart doctor said I have Myocarditis I never heard of it before then. I seemed to recover ok but still could barely walk. The doctors ended up cutting the bone and doing a knee replacement this seem to help but I could not put any weight on that knee the pain was over the top. This was all my right side of my body. I think I over did it trying to work because my left knee started hurting during this it was / is hard to concentrate or stay focused and I was still having occasional black outs. I started taking all whole lot of over the counter supplements for over 2 years I was using a walker and or cane. I have tried to keep the business open but it’s been a struggle at times. I’m blessed to have such great customers I tell everyone I’m a functioning cripple ( LOL ) I haven’t had a black out in a while the headaches still come and go and some days my legs hurt Sooo bad I can’t begin to explain. That being said I’m Blessed to have a wife that hasn’t given up on me and has kept a roof over our families head. Pfizer ruined my life and I was ready ( yes I basically gave up on living. I just wanted the pain to end. I was denied disability because of the shot. I ask people to Please be patient. This is my rant I love helping people and miss doing normal daily thing.) After I got the pfizer shot I became deathly sick. Nidhi saved my life! When no other doctor would listen Nidhi took the time to listen and help me. God Bless Nidhi!

Experiencia fantástica: I just started going to the Kaplan Center after dealing with long COVID for 2 years; no one has been able to help me until now. My GP and other doctors and specialists I saw were not able to help me, and I felt like I was being dismissed. I felt extremely frustrated and had very little hope, and then my husband told me about the Kaplan Center, as a friend of his is being seen for treatment of chronic pain. The staff at the front desk were so welcoming and so friendly, and I immediately had hope that I would have some answers and treatment; I am seeing Nidhi Reva, and she is wonderful - extremely thorough and extremely compassionate and caring, and the best health practitioner I have ever seen. I also started getting acupuncture with Rebecca, and she is absolutely wonderful; I had never had acupuncture before, and she explained everything to me and was so sweet and compassionate. Between the medications I was prescribed, the supplements I purchased there, and the acupuncture, I feel that am finally on the path to recovery from long COVID; I am finally feeling starting to feel like myself again, and I am very optimistic that I will be healthy and happy again. Even though I have just started going to the Kaplan Center, I cannot say enough good things about it!

The ribs are healed now but I was still in significant pain until yesterday. They treated me with manipulation and acupuncture and the pain immediately subsided. Dr. Kaplan did an extremely thorough intake exam and ordered a myriad of tests. The results showed a number of different issues for which Dr. Kaplan developed a systematic treatment plan. My health continues to improve dramatically and still Dr. Kaplan continues his search for new and better treatments for his chronically ill patients. Experiencia negativa: My daughter saw Dr. Lisa about her Vitiligo and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. After thousands of dollars out of pocket in tests and visits she saw absolutely no improvement. Not only that, but when she was sick and unable to make an appointment they had no sympathy or care and would not allow the appointment to be cancelled without $150 charge. They don't see you with humanity and compassion in this clinic, only as a means to their bottom line. How sad and unfortunate for a business in medical profession.

Upon my first appointment, Rebecca found body trauma and located issues within my body that I had not informed her of. In addition to Rebecca's "magical powers," the office staff that I met, was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I will be returning and recommend.

Kaplan Center doctors and supporting staff work using a team approach to help provide multiple avenues of analysis, treatment and relief. Unlike typical doctors, these caring professionals will begin with a complete re-review of your history and current condition. Then they will look for the diseases and conditions that most doctors never consider that can cause or contribute to your chronic pain, poor overall health and decreased functionality. In treating you they will use every protocol or therapy available to reduce the pain, and get your body functioning the way it should be. Typical one-on-one doctor appointments are three to four times longer than your typical doctor visit and will include reviewing of test results, physical exam, medications, supplements, treatment plan, any questions you may have and anything else in your life that could be contributing to your physical or mental health and condition. If you need to see other specialists, they will send to those they know and trust (typically the top specialists available no matter where they are). I've been trying to find a solution to my chronic pain for over 24 years, two surgeries, well over 50 doctors and specialists and all the things that go with it. I may never be pain free, but my overall health has never been better - taking less medication, body is functioning and feeling better and even experiencing some weight loss. If you want to know more about the Kaplan Center approach and methodology read Dr. Kaplan's book - I did. If only I had known about the Kaplan Center 24 years ago when all of this started for me.

From the receptionists to the medical techs to the nurses to the physicians, everyone is very knowledgeable and very caring. They treat you like a person versus just another appointment to get in and get out. After years of living with a medical problem and having other doctors ignore it, Dr. Erika LeBaron took me seriously, ran tests, diagnosed my problem and is working with me to solve it and optimize my health.

Experiencia fantástica: I have had two PT/Cranial Sacral treatments with Pat Alomar for chronic headaches and neck pain. The first treatment (following the interview session) was miraculous. Her technique is gentle and direct (I have only been used to deep tissue massage prior) and all I can say is that after my first session my neck, for the first time in months, was free of stiffness. I felt liberated and free and light! my headaches abated, though began to return a few days later but not to the severity they had been. After my second session - again, freedom and release. She seemed to feel her way to the core of my pain and the release came about gently, without jarring.She also freed my sinuses from a cold! Miraculous for me!

Experiencia fantástica: I am writing to share my gratitude for this AMAZING practice. I have been healthy my entire life. Over the last 2 years I started having multiple issues which were causing various symptoms, such as, joint pains, fatigue, difficulty sleeping. I attempted to to speak with a general practitioner and I was told that most likely I was "depressed". In my opinion, she made a "pre-judgement" and seemed to not even hear anything I had shared with her. She planned to "draw routine blood work" and then would start me on "Celebrex". I walked out of that office and never looked back! I knew Depression wasn't the cause. That's when I found Dr Erika LeBaron. She is best physician I have ever met. She took time to listen to all of my health issues, symptoms and concerns. She did not draw any pre-conclusions or make any assumptions. She listened intently then immediately proceeded to run an extensive list of blood work and tests to find the root of my problem. I soon found out that many hormones were sub-optimal and I have other issues, Hashimotos, and Menopause, etc, which were causing major disruption in my life. I finally had an answer!! She has started to regulate my body with the use of medications and I am feeling better each day. She has recommended reading material which has helped me to understand the benefits of bio-identical medications vs synthetic medications. I was so impressed with Dr Erika that I also brought my 21 year old daughter to see her, following some concerns and hair thinning. Much to our surprise, her medical evaluation and blood work has revealed great deficiencies in my daughter''s lab results. Results that her previous GP did not reveal with testing! I have been an RN for thirty years. I have worked with countless physicians in all forums. I know how IMPORTANT it is to find the right physician... the importance of a physician that takes the time to LISTEN and develop a relationship with their patient. Dr Erika is THAT DOCTOR!!. Lastly, the entire office staff are friendly, patient, and I have always been treated with the upmost respect. I encourage anyone who is looking for thee best medical care in the area....to visit the KAPLAN CENTER! Experiencia negativa: Dr. Kaplan - you failed miserably in not diagnosing me with Lyme. For two years and to the tune of over $50,000 I submitted to your acupuncture, osteopathic manipulation, and manipulation of my trust and goodwill, You were so wedded to your theory of microglial inflammation that you told me to work with your associate and I'd be better. Three years on and I'm not - but I'm finally getting the care I need from a Dr, who DID run more sensitive Lyme tests and discovered I have Lyme with two co-infections. My cognitive ability, energy, vitality would've been much better off had you tested me properly and thoroughly: IGenX - that lab has saved me and I encourage you to use it in the future on patients that present with symptoms like mine.
