Experiencia positiva: **UPDATE** The daycare in now open on Saturdays. And have been more consistent with the hours. I love using the gym, but the Daycare is not consistent. They are currently not open on Saturdays because they are looking for someone to fill that position. But when I signed up in April they said they did have daycare hours on Saturdays. I tried to come on a Thursday during the Daycare hours and it was closed. The reason I signed up for a membership here is because of the Daycare.

Experiencia negativa: This review is for the pool only. I love this facility, and I have used the pool regularly since 2011. Anyone considering joining this facility to use the pool needs to be aware of the following: (1) To swim or do an aerobic workout in the main pool, you must do a reservation in advance. Reservations are done in the MindBody app, and the time opens at MIDNIGHT, allowing you to reserve a week in advance. Some women set alarms every night to wake up to do the reservations!! The Center is aware of that. It claims a software issue prevents it from changing to a more reasonable time, but I doubt that is true as the time for reservations for classes use to start at midnight and got switched fairly quickly to 7 am (and more recently to 8 pm). (2) The facility rarely cleans the deck area around the pool. Over two years ago, I submitted pictures of trash around the pool, and one of those trash pieces is still in the same place. (3) The surface around the pool is disintegrating and needs to be replaced. Sometimes those pieces are uncomfortable when you walk on them. (4) The shower floors are often slippery, and a fairly recent renovation to the shower area decreased the number of showers with safety bars to only two (and those are not the easiest of the showers to use). We pay more than at other gyms, so it is disappointing that problems like these persist.

Experiencia negativa: I showed up today for my 90 minute birthday massage 30 minutes early because I was so excited! About 10 minutes before my appointment I was told that there was a mistake with scheduling—therapist’s lunch break wasn’t put into her schedule and she can’t see me for another 30 minutes. I couldn’t do that because I have to pick my child up from carpool. Words can not express how utterly disgusted and disappointed I am with this business. I needed this and cannot book a last minute massage! Never again…

I've only been treated for going on 3 weeks, but when you know quality care, respectful, professional staff, why wait, give honor where honor is due....It's a pleasure to be blessed to come with this opportunity. My experience is with the physical therapy department.

Experiencia fantástica: Great gym that has plenty of space for working out. I love that there’s an indoor track and that personal trainers are on staff. This is a women’s only gym and even has an indoor pool. Love it here!

Experiencia fantástica: The PT is excellent but PLEASE ban cells phones for long conversations and watching videos or playing games with speaker on. Or add a dedicated phone room where people can talk, watch videos, and play their games with the sound on so it’s not so nerve wracking for patients waiting. I know a lot of people are waiting for a patient and are bored, but many of the patients waiting are already stressed from their illnesses.

Experiencia negativa: The water aerobics classes were very crowded and some of the women participating were very rude..pushing you out of your place in the water (toward the deeper end). The shower facilities and whirlpool are old and outdated….not at all attractive.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a member of the Center for over 10 years, and I recommend the Women’s Center for Wellness to nonmember women. It is a wonderful facility to exercise in a clean environment with many enjoyable group classes. I commend my Mat Pilates instructor Janis Tooley. Janis is just one of the excellent instructors. Janis makes sure everyone in the class understands each exercise and always has a very positive outlook. Her class is popular so I know many other women enjoy her class too.

Experiencia positiva: I’ve never felt so comfortable and welcome working out somewhere. Being a Muslim woman who veils, it’s difficult to find a safe and clean place for me to keep my religious practice while maintaining my health. Everyone is so friendly — my only qualm is that I wish there were some curtains on the glass walls of the pool, as there are some gentlemen who still have access to the first floor.

Experiencia negativa: I was so excited to book a prenatal massage at the Women's Wellness Center - but could not have left more disappointed. One of the WORST massages I've ever received in my life. I asked the therapist ahead of time to work on my lower back and neck, that I wanted deep tissue pressure, and indicated that I have terrible migraines and looking for the massage to help ease the pain. The massage can be summed up as a "glorified lotion rubbing" over my entire body. To top it off - the therapist was sniffling the ENTIRE time with a runny nose. I felt that it was irresponsible of her to even be working on someone who is pregnant. It was absolutely terrible, and did not help my pain whatsoever. For a clinic that specializes in caring for women - you would think they would have exceptional prenatal services. I was definitely wrong. Do yourself a favor and go to a spa in town.

Experiencia positiva: I really like this gym. I've been a member here and to alot of other gyms. I ALWAYS seem to revert back to this one feeling so much more comfortable and has all the equipment and classes I need. This gym has everything to reach my goals. Everyone is friendly and I never feel out of place.

Experiencia fantástica: My 100 year old mother has been a member for years, and loves everything and everyone there. It has become her country club to socialize and stay fit. The water classes and therapy pool are her favorites.

Experiencia fantástica: Took my 3 year old son here for a hearing test. The staff is great, as I would expect since it is a Woman's Hospital©️ facility. Also, took my daughter here for a hearing exam after she was born back in 2009. They were great then too. Very nice, cozy environment, welcoming staff, and the appointments are never long or drawn out. Our most recent appt, we were in and out within 30 minutes (and we were 20 min early). ♡Thank you Woman's for your outstanding service to your patients. ♡

Experiencia fantástica: I was so glad that they offered a 3 month plan for students because they are the only center that offers it in baton rouge! This is a great environment with pleasant staff, trainers, and class instructors. The classes are fun and it is an overall non-judgmental atmosphere considering that we are all women there. 5/5 would recommend!

Experiencia negativa: This review is for the gym, not the hospital. MEMBERS/PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS BEWARE this place has only one concern and that is to get your money. Read everything very carefully before you sign, and ask for copies of everything because they will not give it to you otherwise. After they charge the excessive initiation fee and lock you into a 12-month contract they will continue to draft fees AFTER your contract has expired unless you jump through all the hoops in the fine print to cancel your membership (which by nature of contract expiration should already be canceled...or so one would think). Unfortunately, I talked several friends into signing up with me and now they're all planning to cancel as well. Regarding the gym itself, I used it for maybe 1 month out of the 14 I paid for. Expensive mistake. The hours are awful, classes always getting cancelled, rooms are cramped and they won't even let you use the towels for free. It's all about the money.

Experiencia fantástica: Recently welcomed my great nephew into the world here. By far the nicest rooms I've ever seen in a hospital and the staff is super friendly with smiles and positive attitudes. A beautiful place inside and out. They spared no expense. A+ all around
