Experiencia fantástica: From my experience, the staff are very friendly, willing to help, and the facility is always clean. I'm not sure why some people feel that it has gone down hill since being acquired by BI Parks and now technically being a rec center. Sure, as with any gym there will be some grouchy people and after school/work there will be a crowd, but these are things that you take to take into account when choosing your gym. Also, at this point, masks are optional. I see many people using them when around others or standing around in a general area but I have not heard of or seen any employees, "staring at the security cameras" as stated in someone else's review. As a wheelchair user it's been hard to find gyms with enough space and equipment for me to workout and these guys have both. There's plenty of machines and free weights that are great for body building as well as plenty of cardio equipment. The basketball court is currently closed for resurfacing but while they are doing that, they decided to install a ramp to access the building easier. This was not on their to-do list so soon but they truly take into account the people that come in and how they can best serve the community. They have been nothing but supportive and helpful and that always makes excited to go in.

Experiencia negativa: Been attending this gym for years and have always enjoyed my time and the kind staff. Unfortunately, the club has taken a turn for the worse this year. A few weeks ago they felt it was necessary to start threatening their members with termination for non-compliance to their mask policy. These threats are posted all around the gym. I understand all Washington gyms at the moment require masks however I have a hard time understanding why they decided to take up this "3 strikes and you're out" approach to masks, especially when people are often slipping the mask on and off to drink water / catch their breath . I found it quite rude and almost China-like how they enforce this rule. How do they enforce their mask policy? Employees will stare at the security cameras waiting for a moment where your mask slips beneath your nose or you drink your water for too long. I wish this was an exaggeration. Ironically, it seems like some of their employees have never worked out in their life yet those are the ones most adamant on micro-managing whether a mask is 1cm above or below my nose. Avoid this gym if you care about working out.

Experiencia positiva: Pros: Good equipment, clean, good monthly membership price and friendly staff. Cons: Normally busy with adolescents socializing after school , lack of monitoring members to ensure they are cleaning equipment after use and hours of operation is shorter than before the buyout. Although the facility is the same prior to the city buying it, much of the luxury and charm is missing from when it was a private athletic club.

Experiencia fantástica: I love the BAC. In addition to being the only enclosed tennis on the island, they also have a great selection of workout equipment, a friendly staff and a great safety program for Covid.

Experiencia fantástica: The BAC is a great facility with a nice mix of equipment, activities and friendly staff. Importantly, during the pandemic, it's a very clean and aware environment. Clear and prominent signage, disinfectant bottles and enforced social distancing helps keep us all safe. It's a gem on Bainbridge Island.

Experiencia positiva: I returned to the BAC after a hiatus because this really is one of the best places on the island to get your fitness on. Check out Krystal's morning yoga class and don't forget to warm-up in the sauna this winter.

Experiencia fantástica: BAC is the perfect place to start the day! Welcoming, attractive, plenty of parking. Exercise guided by a fitness expert, take a class, join in cardio tennis, have a massage - whatever seems right for you. Then stay a bit longer and enjoy a coffee or smoothie with new friends.

Experiencia fantástica: I love being greeted by a friendly smile! BAC is a clean, modern and always welcoming place to get in a workout, grab a snack or indulge in a massage. The facility is updated regularly and always very clean. A fresh class schedule keeps my workouts from ever getting dull. I see a variety of ages and body types using all areas of the club, but find a real delight in the specialized children's camps and senior programs. I highly recommend you check out BAC for your health and fitness needs on Bainbridge Island.

Experiencia fantástica: Love this fitness center! Clean facilities and plentiful quantities of excise equipment. Tennis is king at BAC! I like this place because it's a short distance from the downtown area, so it's less busy than the in-town fitness center. Sauna and steam room are a big plus too.

Experiencia fantástica: BAC is a great facility. Always very clean and well kept, and the staff and trainers are incredibly friendly and helpful. In addition to the great selection of equipment (new free weights & weight machines!) membership amenities include a wide range of free group classes, discounts on paid programs, and free birthday smoothies. This is my favorite gym on the Island!

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful place, great facilities and awesome staff. The gym is huge and in a quiet part of town...not a lot of traffic, always plenty of parking. Bathroom is always super clean. I never feel overcrowded and they've got plenty of machines and free weights as well as a full basketball court & tons of tennis courts. Great place to go!

Experiencia fantástica: I found myself back on the Island recently and in need of a place to work out. I checked out the Bainbridge Athletic Club on the recommendation of a friend, and I'm glad I did! Although I am a fairly new customer of the BAC, I have been nothing short of extremely impressed by its quality of service. The employees are helpful without being obtrusive, the space is large and has a great variety of machines, and the club offers a fantastic array of classes, exercise groups, and special events. Combine all this with the most reasonable prices around, and the BAC is a no-brainer if you're thinking about joining a gym.
