Experiencia fantástica: I have been coming to this gym for a little bit over a year. There’s plenty of equipment, it’s never crowded and the staff is wonderful. The one time I had a complaint, Khalil handled it immediately and followed up to make sure it was fixed.

Experiencia fantástica: BEST GYM IN THE AREA! Never thought I would find another gym home. Sign-up was really easy. Thank you Kahlil For the help and also assisting me in my workout. I have a better form and better gym knowledge. Didn’t think it would be possible for me to get back into a gym, First impression is always huge to me. And Kahlil Knocked it out the park thank you.

THEY DON'T WAIT A FULL MONTH BEFORE CHARGING YOU AND WHEN YOU QUESTION ANYTHING THEY REFUSED TO ANSWER QUESTIONS AND TELL YOU TO REVIEW THE CONTRACT THEY EMAIL YOU AFTER YOU SIGN UP. SIGNED UP MID MARCH PAID ALL FESS AND GOT CHARGED AGAIN MARCH 29TH AND WANTED TO CHARGE MORE FEES ON TOP OF MEMBERSHIP. THIS GYM ISN'T WORTH A DIME AND THE "OWNER" NEEDS TO LEARN CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Experiencia negativa: I used to use this gym. I recently went in and asked the employee if I could check out the gym, and she said I dont care in a pretty aggressive manner. I dont know if its men she hates or the steroids are affecting her, but that attitude won't makes people want to be there. Also the gym was disgusting. towels everywhere, every mirror smudged trashcans in the restroom and rest of the gym were literally overflowing with garbage. The bathrooms were by far the worst part, use your imagination, and thats exactly how bad it was. Find an employee with less testosterone and more manners.

Experiencia negativa: I got a membership while on active duty, it was a solid gym and had a lot more available equipment than the gym on base. But one day I lost my key card and paid to get a replacement. Then when I eventually EASd I went in the cancel my membership and they told me it was canceled and I’m good to go on about my day. I only found out a year and a half later when I had to replace my debit card, they never cancelled my membership and were charging me monthly for the year and a half I’ve been gone. Yes I should’ve noticed sooner, but being waived off and essentially told “that’s your problem not ours” is infuriating. Point is, make sure you go in person and make sure they ACTUALLY cancel your membership if you’re leaving the area

Experiencia negativa: Daytime Staff isn’t welcoming, and rather rude if I’m being honest. Gym is dirty and went without TP for over a week. I give it 2 stars for its price and convenience only.

Experiencia negativa: They haven’t replaced any broken mirrors in over a year. The pull-up bar has the same dirty tape since 2020. The only thing that’s changed is the price has gone up from $10 a month during Covid to almost $20 now. I think I’ve shaved off at least a year of my life by going here for so long.

Experiencia negativa: this place is ridiculous, high schoolers use this place a fckin playground, throwing weights, footballs, loud as hell, using a junk speaker on full volume? nobody is ever here managing the place no matter what time i come in. probably one of the worst gyms in north carolina. need i say more?

She(the supposed area manager) was the most disrespectful and unprofessional person I’ve met so far in NC. As a grown man and service member I would think that I would be treated with some common decency, not as a child…this woman canceled my membership and my gym partners for “Using heavy Weight in the cardio room.” This is the first time I’ve seen and heard of this policy and an email was NEVER sent about the updated policy. She failed to inform me with her name and the number to corporate. Her response was “I am Corporate.” If you want a good quality gym, nice environment, and with professional staff then do not go to this gym. CHEAP, isn’t always the way to go! If I good give a rating lower than one star it would get it!

Experiencia negativa: (Let me preface this review by saying this gym has been like this for like 5 months. So unless they change staff it’s not changing.) I get this gym is cheap but does the quality and service have to match?? I’ve only seen one person “work” here and they’re barley here. There’s just a sign that says “call if you need anything” Like yes we need paper towels, toilet paper, rags to wipe things down, and an organized facility AT THE VERY LEAST. If they’re getting someone to work here they should at least work, right? You’d have a better time going to planet fitness at this point, and that says everything. There’s also never music playing the majority of the week so that awkwardness of hearing moans and groans every 10min is there..

Experiencia negativa: Hate to leave a Karen-esk review but, I have been going to this gym since just before covid hit, As soon as it was changed to fitness NC. A few years later, I attempt to cancel my membership just before I leave to join the air force. Now a few months in, I notice that i am still being charged. So, I called in to have my membership re-canceled and to get a refund for the 4 months that I was being charged. Unfortunately they said since there was nothing saying I tried cancelling, I cannot be refunded. Sucks that I spent so much timeand money in this gym but they don’t care about that.

Experiencia negativa: If you’re a gym advocate like myself, you usually don’t ask for much. Just a gym that “gets the job done”. Unfortunately, this gym doesn’t meet the bare minimum expectations to feel comfortable. I decided to end my membership after two weeks of struggling to give the benefit of the doubt. When it comes to hygiene upkeep at a place where people are sweating daily, maintenance is required regularly to meet the inflow. The list below wasn’t all at once but a consistent trend EVERY single visit of at least one condition applying. No water fountain Holes in wall/broken mirror No music Disorganized No enforcement of re-racking weights No clean rags No paper towels No toilet paper Machines/equipment barely hanging together Equipment looking like it hadn’t been wiped down…ever. Staff aren’t there during staff hours I’ve been to a 24hr gym that is much bigger and maintained 10X better for the same price, you can tell when something is managed with passion. FitnessNC fails to meet the mark for how small it is. Just thought anyone else interested in a membership in Havelock doesn’t see this and think it’s a “deal” before knowing what you’re getting into.

Experiencia fantástica: Great staff, Paris does an amazing job caring for the facility and the members. Whenever I travel through again, I’m definitely stopping here. Gym has everything you need to get a good pump.

Experiencia negativa: First, the pictures I have added are what the bathrooms look like on good days. The gym is almost never being taken care of properly. It’s like it’s only manned and taken care of 1 day a week. There’s usually stuff to wipe down equipment half the days, and the whole place is absolutely disorganized at all times. On top of everything the trash is ALWAYS overflowing in the gym. Good luck if you need to use the restroom, there’s rarely ever paper towels or toilet paper stocked in them. When the staff is there, the phone is always ringing because they’re always too busy working out themselves or they’re on that long of a break. One of the most disorganized and unsanitary gyms I’ve been to in my life. Do not go to this gym.

Open 24 hours, typically never packed, staff are friendly, members are nice etc. It's not the most luxurious gym but if you're not into that nonsense, this is the gym for you.

Experiencia fantástica: Best gym in the area! Since the ownership change the gym is staffed consistent hours and generally really clean, and stocked with sanitizer and towels. Free weights and all of the usual machines in decent condition, with planned upgrades coming soon. It can get a little busy at peak times but most members are friendly and easy to work around.

Experiencia positiva: I have been a member since Dennis and Renee were the owners of Snap Fitness. At that time, the facilities and equipment were scrupulously maintained. Defects were corrected immediately or within a few days at most, the staff frequently cleaned and vacuumed. Then it was sold to the next owner. He expanded the facility into the business next door, but then maintenance began to be neglected. Treadmills stayed out of operation for months. Parts deteriorated and were not replaced. Under Fitness NC, the neglect of maintenance continues, even after notes are left for the management. The facilities are adequate, but compared with previous management there is a lot of improvement to be made. One recent improvement is that the volume of the awful background music finally has been turned down to a level that it can be ignored.

I like the fact that I can come in and get my workout in without waiting for someone to get done with the weights, overall I’m glad that I changed my gym membership from Planet Fitness to FitnessNC. Hands down better than the playground (Planet Fitness) across the street from Walmart.

The staff was great about getting the memberships taken care of, they have monthly challenges to help motivate you toward your goals, they can help with a workout routine if there is something specific you need, like for me it was core strength after having 2 kids in the past 4 years. It is very clean and everyone is friendly, and it had bot been crowded at all while I was there either. I've had to cancel my membership for the time being, but they have offered me the same price if I should choose to return and I greatly appreciate that for when I do.

Experiencia negativa: I went in for my workout with my daughter. She does not have a membership and I didn't know I could not have a guest when signing up. She is only 14 and most gyms allow a free person if they are under 16. Jackie walks over to me while I'm in the middle of my cardio workout and proceeds to tell me she is going to charge me $5 because they don't allow guests. I said okay, do what you need to do. Then continues to harass me about my name while I'm trying to concentrate. I had to stop my workout and leave. The professional thing would have been to ask if I wanted to sign her up for a membership when I WAS DONE WORKING OUT But she wanted to be rude and apparently try to prove a point. When I signed up the gentleman assured me I would not have to worry about being distracted because that was my major problem with gyms. NC Fitness just lost a client.
