Experiencia fantástica: I’m over 70 years old. I was 16 when I first saw a chiropractor due to a high school injury. I’ve lived in several states and many different cities. Therefore, I have known quite a number of chiropractors in my life. Living in a metro area, you have a lot of choices and I went to always tried the one that was closest. Then someone strongly recommended Dr. Friedman and mentioned how his technique didn’t use the same manipulation methods of others. My initial reluctance was the fact that his office was about 35 miles away, not nearly as convenient as I was used to. When I finally accepted that none of the nearby chiropractors were working the way I hoped, I decided to give Dr Friedman a try. During the first visit, Dr. Friedman explained his technique, how I would feel after treatment, what I could expect the next day, and then on the next day. I listened, but my chronic skepticism wasn’t convinced. Being well acquainted with the snap, crackle, pop of typical chiropractors, I wondered if anything good had taken place with the few little movements he did on my neck that didn’t twist or pop! When I walked out of the office, I realized I felt a little relief, but had a little doubt that he had really made a difference! Then, the next day, I felt just like he said I would, a little sore. I was shocked because I didn’t think the little movements he did on my neck had that much effect. Then, the day after, I felt better than I had in years! That was around 2014. Now his office is 41 miles away! I plan my appointments around the typical traffic flows! Why? It’s worth the drive!

Experiencia fantástica: As a Doctor of Chiropractic, I am very particular when it comes to who is treating me. I recently came into a situation where the adjustments I was receiving were not working. I was having numbness in my left leg, in my feet, and arms. I saw Dr. Friedman and after the first adjustment my symptoms were reduced by 50%. After the 3rd adjustment it was 90% improved. I now see him periodically for maintenance. The amazing thing is the adjustments were so gentle no popping or cracking, that it didn't feel like he was doing anything. Experiencia fantástica: I was a sceptic regarding chiropractic treatment until I met Dr. Russell Friedman. He was still attending Life College when he convinced me to start my upper cervical care with him. I did not know at the time how much his care would help me, especially the Grostic technique. He has literally relieved pain, prevented pain, and kept me from having surgery on my upper cervical spine. For a time I swayed away from Grostic as a treatment which resulted in me returning to a great deal of pain. The pain was so severe I started to think about having steroid injections and surgery. After 2 treatments with Dr Friedmans gentle manipulation she fought off the next ear infection on her own and didn’t get ear infections anymore. It was important to me that the practitioners method was gentle and not popping and cracking. As a nurse, it was important to me that we try whatever we could before considering surgery. After dealing with nerve pain from a spider bite for over a year, back and forth to the hospital multiple times, physical therapy, multiple chiropractors and neuromuscular therapy I was almost to the point of surgery. With my hope diminishing I made an appointment at Alterna Health and once you walk through the door you can sense the welcoming/caring feeling I first met with Dr. Friedman for the initial exam and after he is done analyzing the results he creates a tailored plan that is just for me as we are all unique in our own ways. With his tailored plan and some calculations the A-team at Alterna Health they were able to correct the issue and not just mask the problem. Plus, all without surgery, injections or pain medications. Over the next several months of EXCELLENT care from Alterna Health through Dr Friedman's adjustments, combined with functional therapy from Dr Ali and Dr Shaun and some home exercises/stretches we were able to eliminate the debilitating nerve pain and then address the remaining issues from not being able to walk normally for over a year. Now, I'm on the golf course 1-2 times a week, walking and carrying my clubs. 6 months ago, I would have never imagined I would be able to do this. I'm so THANKFUL for Dr Friedman, Dr Ali, Dr Shaun and the entire team at Alterna Health and all they have done for me. I still can't believe IM ABLE TO ENJOY LIFE AGAIN!

Experiencia fantástica: When I arrived at AlternaHealth Solutions 18 months ago, I was broken both mentally and physically. A “regular” chiropractor adjusted my neck and immediate sharp pain went through my head and cervical spine. In addition to the pain that was 24 hours a day, I started having severe panic attacks, trigeminal nerve issues, suboccipital nerve issues, and more that began as a result of the adjustment. I had multiple x-rays, two MRIs, and I went to TEN different doctors trying to find out what was wrong with me for a year and a half following the initial adjustment by the “regular” chiropractor. I was told nothing was wrong with me and prescribed multiple medications for my nerves and depression. I was lost!! I found Dr. Russell Friedman on the internet and looked up his QSM3 method and testimonials from other patients. In a desperate search for help, I got in my car and drove for 4 hours to his office and literally found the man that saved my life. He was the only person that took x-rays and said, “I can see what is wrong with you, and I can fix it. It will take a while, but I can fix it if you trust me.” I will never forget those words. I finally felt validated and hopeful. On that initial visit, Dr. Russel Friedman, Dr. Ali Friedman-Puro, and Dr. Shaun Puro all worked overtime after the office closed and gave me a QSM3 adjustment and hours of functional therapy. I drove 4 hours back home and literally cried most of the way because someone had finally HEARD me and CARED about me. Dr. Friedman personally called me at home multiple times to check on me and make sure I was okay after that first visit. Literally, the next day I felt better. Not healed yet, but better. It is absolutely mind boggling to me that there are not precautions to protect the patients and staff. I don’t know about Dr. Friedman, but I’m extremely high risk. I love this place but it’s so disturbing how he pretends covid is not real. I have to tell my family and friends to not come here, because who wants an adjustment with a side of Covid? It’s absolutely appalling. Newsflash, Dr. Friedman, you’re the reason medical doctors don’t take chiropractors seriously . You don’t even care about the health of your own patients. I hope you know if we get covid and pass, that means less money in your pockets. Since money is the only thing you care about. What a shame! This place offers top notch care, except common decency for mankind. I will be going on Nextdoor to find a new chiropractor and will post on Nextdoor, so people know to avoid this place. How sad.

Experiencia fantástica: I have experienced amazing results from my functional therapy and adjustments at Alterna Health Solutions. You can trust this team to do everything they can for you. There is plenty of space in the office to keep socially distant from other patients and the Doctors wear masks (as do I). They listen, ask questions, explain, educate, and never rush. I always leave feeling deeply cared for and very grateful for such incredibly gifted, kind and compassionate doctors. My posture and spine were tilted/curved, twisted and compressed from scoliosis. I am thrilled with the improvement in my posture and back stability! It's really amazing to look in the mirror and see my shoulders level for the first time in my adult life, but more importantly I don't have the pain and symptoms I used to; I can even sleep on my back, which I could never do before. Drs Ali and Shaun have worked on me from head to foot for multiple issues and I'm always amazed at how many techniques they know and apply. Experiencia fantástica: I started coming to see the gang at AlternaHealth about 7 months ago. I had limited motion in my arms, was unable to type with my left hand, severe back pain, insomnia and the list goes on. I felt relief within my first session with Dr Ali and the success only multiplied from there. Since then I am now back to working out, sleeping through the night and experiencing drastically less pain throughout my body. Through their extended team I've learned more about my posture, proper form when working out and mobility and stretching exercises I can do between visits and much more. Experiencia fantástica: I don't know what the previous reviewer is talking about, they have always been wearing masks in the office. I've been coming to Dr friedman, Shawn, and Ali for multiple years, and they always take care of me. I really am grateful for the amount of work that they have done to make sure that my neck is always in alignment, as well as make my back and everything else feel good. All the doctors are very gifted and special, but I especially like Dr Puro the most. I started with Dr Friedman, and he is great also. Ali is also wonderful. I was having severe issues with my neck before I became a patient in 2016, and I don't go to any other chiropractors except for them. Very gentle technique, much better than the crazy snapping and popping that you get with other chiropractors. I think that qsm3 should be the standard of care for all chiropractors and that they should learn this technique, but maybe we will get there one day...

I have residual trauma from a car wreck and other injuries, and have been living with chronic pain for years. I was not able to do simple things like yard work without being in tremendous pain for days after. I am in my mid thirties and a mom to a 2 yr old and this was just not going to cut it anymore. That I have personally seen other health professionals in his office for treatment speaks volumes about his knowledge, experience, technique, and success rate. As a patient, I know him to be passionate about what he does, ever interested in learning new approaches, appreciative of the role that emotional, mental, and spiritual factors can play in physical healing, and steadfast in his commitment to the partnership he has with his patients in their care. I would not hesitate to refer to him someone who is in pain, feeling discouraged, and weary of the mystery behind his/her symptoms. If Dr. Friedman can help, he will; if he cannot, he will be straightforward and compassionate. I would like to update my review to include my hearty support for Candace Swanson, another member of the excellent AlternaHealth team. Candace specializes in nutrition response testing, and Dr. Friedman initially referred me to her for a persistent sinus issue. Candace not only resolved that problem, but with patience, skill, knowledge, the proper supplements, and admirable respect for the body's own natural intelligence, also managed to bring my beleaguered adrenals under control. Months later, they are still functioning properly. During a recent visit, Candace stunned me with an assessment that my body was having a negative reaction to chlorine, and I had never even mentioned to her that I had recently taken several aqua aerobics classes! Not only is Candace impressive because of her expertise, but she is also warm, spirited, funny, encouraging, and kind. Experiencia fantástica: I heard about Dr. Friedman through a friend who was a patient. I didn't understand how the technique he uses worked and still don't! My daughter had been in an accident and had a neck injury that just wasn't getting any better. Daily pain medications just didn't afford the relief or allow the quality of life she needed. Her situation was pretty bad, but (in a short amount of time) there was an amazing difference. Then, it was my turn. I had been happy with a chiropractor I had known for years and didn't want to go through the "new patient" process. But, circumstances worked so that I needed to make a change and thought I would try this "new" technique because of the success with my daughter. After my first visit, I thought that this was just too easy and gentle. Why did I wait so long? After a few days, I was still feeling great. After a few weeks, I was still feeling great! It's been about a year since my first visit. I'm still amazed at how different I feel after a correction, how long it lasts, and how the simple recommended exercises make a big difference in how I feel every day! How can something so gentle make such a difference? I don't know, but it does. This cynical skeptic is convinced!
