Experiencia fantástica: Such a wonderful gym. The staff is friendly and helpful. The gym itself is a Godsend. Great functional training rooms! Great variety of equipment. Super close to old town St. Augustine and to the beach. The prices are rather fair. The people who workout there seem to be focused on their training for improvement, while still being rather friendly. They’ve also got a lap swimming pool, and an outdoor turf with sleds and weights and more. It’s a great Gym. If you haven’t tried it yet they offer a free 3 day pass. There’s a lot here neatly packed into this gym. Personally I love this gym. Now I’ve got one question for you, yes you, the one reading this: Would it be too crazy to ask you to try out this place and all it offers out for at least 3 days?

Experiencia positiva: It's a fair facility to frequent When staffers have really dropped the ball in personal service, it was a very kind woman named Charlin who helped me understand that everyone has bad days. I am in public service and a bicycle taxi for your small community. Please remember it's important to treat everyone with respect, even visitors like myself. My overall experience has been good even though I had a challenge with staff. I can honestly say that you do have one good employee. She has always treated me with kindness and respect. See you next year. Stay happy and stay healthy.

As part of the amenity to be able to use the fitness center worked well for me and my wife as we played pickleball basketball and even used the sauna and steam room after a good workout. Nice place to get some steam left off on a rainy day. Thanks again, Anastasia, fitness.

Experiencia fantástica: Yoga on Tuesdays at 9:30am with Kayla is one of the best yoga classes I have ever taken! Kayla does an excellent job at really stretching you out without all the unrealistic poses that are hard to attain. Solid workout that leaves you feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day!

Experiencia negativa: Anastasia fitness is not a good gym they set an agreement with me to pay once a month of $50 a month for their membership fee for my daughter. Now they’re racking on extra money on my account and going back on their word. They are not a family oriented Jim like they say they are and they don’t care about their members needs

Experiencia negativa: Seems like this place likes stealing from customers or does not train their employees properly. I signed a contract over a year ago checked with them months before to see about canceling my membership because I was moving. Both employees that I talked with said that I just needed to sign the cancelation agreement a week before I moved and that it would be canceled on the year date. Charged me one day after said year date and I called them to see what was going on and they said I had to sign that cancellation contract a month before the year end date. I then asked why the other employees would tell me the wrong information because had I known I would have canceled at the date they wanted which is why I checked. They asked me who I talked to and I said well one was the one I talked to when I signed the cancelation contract the other I didn't know because I checked like two months prior and they said "well that person no longer works here so I won't be able to do anything, you can read your contract" which I don't have because it was a year ago. Just seems like they want to nickel and dime people. Now I understand $50 doesn't seem like much but this is the principle that I tried to do the right thing and ask the employees who should have been trained on this and now seems to me like stealing. Ethically not a good company. After response from owner... you obviously did not read the review because I stated that I didn't remember what the contract stated which is why I had checked months prior as well as the date I signed the cancelation papers. And if it was posted so widely in the lobby why wouldn't the employees prompt me to that statement instead of telling me the wrong information. Not looking for a handout or anything and will pay the extra money because that is what is obligated by contract. Just wanted you to know what is ethical and what is disceptation. As a small business and not a chain just figured you would do what is ethically right, but I guess that is in the past this day and age.

After trying a few different local gyms and not feeling motivated or loving the vibe, I checked out Thrive, led by JJ. The culture JJ builds around him is fantastic. The vibe is welcoming, respectful, fun, and everyone is so encouraging. We talk about our personal wellness goals, learn from each other, and get guidance from JJ along the way. One thing I really appreciate about JJ is that he keeps up with trends and the latest in the fitness world, so his expertise spans way beyond Thrive and has insights and resource recommendations for pretty much anything you're curious about diving into. Included in the gym membership are free InBody assessments, which give you hard numbers like percent body fat and lean muscle mass, and it tracks your progress. I bring the printout (although there’s also an app) to JJ who then breaks down what the numbers mean and further personalizes workouts. JJ has helped me get fitter and stronger. It’s been an incredible experience to have Thrive in my routine. I’m excited to keep on this journey and hope you’ll join me!

I have worked with Tatiana and she is very knowledgeable and has really helped me. When I really started to listen about nutrition I have seen major changes in body fat loss and muscle gain. She always explains results and helps me to change up my workouts!

Experiencia negativa: I understand the 30 day cancellation notice but charging a $75 fee to cancel membership is outrageous especially after trying it only for a month and came in twice. The gym is just weirdly laid out.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great time at Anastasia Fitness while in St. Augustine Beach! The instructors, attendees, and staff were friendly and welcoming, and I got a great workout! I was surprised that they offered Arc trainers and curved treadmills as both can be hard to find. The gym itself is clean and spacious, and they offer a one day and one week pass for visitors, which included group classes and access to the equipment. I’d be happy to come back here during my next visit!

Experiencia negativa: There is a guy that says he works at this gym and he body shames women that are trying to up lift their selfs and be healthy! He shouldn’t be a fitness trainer if he doesn’t believe in his job!! The guys name is Michael that’s what he said his name is! 26 years old and judging that’s just sad!

Experiencia fantástica: Second year as snow birds. Using the facilities for three months this year, 2023. Enjoy this gym. Friendly staff, clean, an abundance of exercise options and classes. in 2022, we were 60-day visitors and found this facility to meet and exceed our expectations. The owner is on-site and involved in the daily operations. All staff with whom we had contact were wonderful. Friendly place. Plenty of yoga and cardio classes available. Outside pool and workout area if you want it.

Experiencia fantástica: Anastasia Fitness is a real gem and while I might not give it a full 5 stars - more like a 4.7 - I felt a star rating like 4 stars would just be too low to accurately reflect what a great place this is, especially for those of us who live close by. As a swimmer, I appreciate the fact that Anastasia is heated in the Winter, and chilled by an aerator (when one of the seniors isn't shutting it off) in Summer. Super easy to reserve a lane, so gone are the days when members would try and shove 5 swimmers into a three lane pool. Kevin - the owner - runs a tight ship and always seems fair in dealing with members. I don't take classes, but it would appear they are usually quite busy and the members I speak with always seem to enjoy them. Plenty of weights in the weight room and racquetball courts for those who play. It appears they are even about to add a couple of pickle ball courts, so something more to bring me around. Members are very nice and seem to enjoy each other. Consider myself lucky to have a gym like this so close to home. Don't hesitate if you've thought of giving it a try. Extremely reasonable pricing, especially for what you get.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been undeniably blown away by the service and community of this gym. The facilities are abundant. They have a pool, sauna, steam bath, to name a few. The staff here are wonderful and know you by name. My first day, I received a private consultation by the owner… how great is that?! The facility is large and multi level so I never feel crowded here. Plus, due to the more mature demographic that frequents this gym, I don’t have to worry about some roided meat head with a dumbbell in one hand and a gallon of water in the other judging my workout or progress. I feel right at home here. This is a PERFECT place for locals!

Experiencia fantástica: I can not even say enough wonderful things about Anastasia Fitness and the ThriveFit class. I was in town for a wedding, and since I hate to leave my gym behind, I came in for a few classes. Coaches Kelly and Kevin worked me!!! After all these years I finally learned how to properly do a Turkish Get-up, how to recover in my breathing better, and to keep reminding myself belly to belt. The coaches watch over you the entire time to ensure you always have proper form. I only attended a few classes but took home lessons that will stay with me.

They have everything you need for a great workout. Tons of machines and free weights. They have a lot of old school equipment that you don’t see in big commercial gyms, which is pretty cool if you’re a fitness addict like myself. Overall a great experience and will always make this my place for my workouts when I’m in town. See ya next March!!

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing large open gym, so when its busy you still have a nice area of space to workout in. You can find any and every peice of workout equiptment you could think of. They have current music playing incase you forget your headset. Sani spray everywhere you turn to wipe everything down. The woman's locker room is so beautiful it reminds me of a spa. Always clean always friendly 10 out of 10 recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Tracy & Carol are AMAZING fitness instructors. I actually have FUN at a gym. That’s a first, I promise! From day 1, everyone at Anastasia Fitness made me feel so welcome. People introduced themselves. I can’t explain the sense of community there- people actually CARE about you. They look out for each other. It’s like no gym I’ve ever been to (I usually dislike gyms anyway- I only joined for the 5+ days a week dance classes!). The only place it reminds me of is U of A in Flagstaff; the people in the various offices on campus are so nice, you start to question whether it’s “real”! Lol. Even if I don’t stay in the area forever, I’ve met friends for life here. And don’t get me started on all the awesome amenities. If you’re looking for an unpretentious neighborhood gym with very reasonable monthly fees, it’s your spot!

Kevin and the staff at Anastasia Fitness focus on giving the members at the gym a safe environment by incorporating the mitigation practices recommended by the health officials. Throughout each day they maintain and reinforce those practices by being watchful and are not reluctant to encourage members to be personally diligent for each of us to have a safe workout. The reservation system for the pool works so well as does having the gate open so that we can exit directly from the pool to the parking lot. With the limitation of three swimmers at a time, I am very comfortable with using the pool.

Anastasia Fitness considers everything for my personal, on-going overall health: old injuries, balance, strength, pace -- AND humor, empathy, and calmness. I treasure their unique approach!

Experiencia fantástica: I was in from Arizona visiting family and was looking for a place to train. I went to another local club, but wasn't my cup of tea so I decided to check out Anastasia Fitness. The staff at Anastasia Fitness were super friendly and purchasing a pass was easy and affordable. I had the pleasure of meeting and having a conversation with the owner, Kevin, and I can say the people of the island are lucky to have him there. It was immediately apparent that he is passionate about delivering the members of the community a great fitness experience through great customer service and a variety of exercise options. He has a great vision for what he wants the club to become, and it's rare to find an owner willing and eager to financially invest in constant, ongoing club improvements- that speaks volumes of him and the Anastasia Fitness team.

Experiencia fantástica: Today was my first day back after the gym being closed because of Covid 19. The place was sparkling clean. They are now having outdoor group fitness classes in the shade by the pool which is a brilliant idea. Kevin has also created a new yoga studio upstairs and I saw lots of new cardio equipment. I felt safe and the extra effort he has put in made me feel appreciated for my membership. I have been a member for 20 years and been through 3 owners. The gym has never looked better. Experiencia fantástica: This gym has a homey, neighborly feel to it. There is lots of personal attention and friendliness from staff and trainers. There is a wide variety of equipment and classes as well as a lap pool, steam roons and sauna. My husband and I took 6 months personal training together with one instructor/coach to learn proper technique and a varied work-out routine. Now one year later we are much more fit and enjoy the gym regularly. 5 stars.

Coming here, even someone like me who hasn't worked out in years, and who's impatient to a fault, gets the encouragement, the training, and the results to keep me coming back. It's working! Whether you're already buff and toned or just getting there, this place and these people--staff, trainers and members alike--will make a world of difference.

It has an excellent community feel, super welcoming with a really diverse membership base, not at all intimidating, a huge range of facilities and excellent trainers. Experiencia fantástica: I have been working out for most of my life. In high school I did both cross country running and swimming. Working out has always been a way of life for me! It makes me feel great, and helps me stay healthy. In my early twenty’s I was in a car accident where I destroyed my knees and had a concussion. At that point my love of running came to an end. After the accident, to keep my body healthy and functional I joined many gyms. When I found Anastasia Fitness I knew I was home. The facility is the premier gym in St. Augustine. The gym itself is extremely clean and well maintained. They are the only gym in town that meets all my needs. A heated pool, a steam room and sauna, a multitude of classes and, indoor racket ball court, and top of the line work out equipment. I enjoy too that you have the option of working out both inside and outside when the weather is beautiful. The trainers are some of the most well trained, knowledgeable, and friendly that I have ever come across in my over 20 years of working out. With my history injury I have to be very careful. My trainer analyzed my bodies individual needs, as well as my goals, to create a personalized training program, and my body transformed. I learned new skills, and not only did I not suffer further injury, my pain was decreased. I am so grateful for this gym, the trainers and the friendly staff I cannot recommend them highly enough! Experiencia negativa: Discrimation against the elderly and disabled. When the new owner bought it it got bad. No bars in the showers and no handicap access to the pool. If I could give it no stars I would. All the owner cares about is money!

Experiencia fantástica: Hands down the best gym in St. Augustine. I wandered in almost 2 years ago feeling like I needed to shakeup my fitness routine of cycling and machine circuit. As a mid-50's woman, I wasn't making any progress and was beginning to feel old. I train twice weekly with Kevin and I am continually amazed at the difference in myself. I look forward to my training and Kevin pushes me to build my endurance and strength. Honestly though, it's in the every day that I have noticed such a difference. I can literally pop up off my low couch that used to be a slow rise with my hand on my knee. I can easily put my luggage overhead on a plane and it's always loaded! Recently I took down two suitcases for an elderly couple and a man behind me said " I was going to offer to help you but it's obvious you can handle it". At a new yoga class while going through a chaturanga the instructor stopped and said "Wow you're strong". Experiencia fantástica: A small gym with the usual weights, bikes and bands but with the extra little things like a sauna and steam room in each locker room and a raquet ball court! They offer coffee at the door and have great yoga, Barre, and dance classes if you so wish. Best gym around.

Gyms were always so intimidating for me, but from the day that I joined, all of the staff and other members are always so kind and make me feel comfortable. There is a wide range of group fitness classes offered every day and I can always find something that fits into my schedule. My daughter has been enrolled in their childcare since she was 3 months old. I can relax and get the most out of my workouts knowing that she’s in the best care with a staff I trust and who truly care for her.
