The admin staff is super friendly and organized. The owners, Dr James and Dr Molly Poenitzsch, maintain a high standard of care in an atmosphere that is congenial and caring. Everyone there works together to help each patient accomplish their recovery goals. I’m currently working with Dr Cameron Curtis on a tricky wrist issue and he is not only a pleasure to work with but he’s innovative and thoughtful in his treatment. Previously I was here for a nagging hip issue and after my successful treatment for that I had no question about where I would go for my wrist.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been seeing the therapists at LTM since my meniscus tear surgery in February, and I always look forward to my appointments that not only give me almost immediate relief, but are also pushing my strength and mobility forward. Recently Erin's knowledge about inflammation and her work on my tight muscles have been a godsend. Cameron and James have been informative, friendly, and helpful the times I've seen them, and Heather at the front desk has been following up regularly to help me out with insurance. Everyone even wears a huge smile when they see that I've brought my 5yo with me, and they find ways to entertain my busy boy. LTM is getting this Kindergarten teacher and mom back into action.

But I like the most is one to one services, which gives the therapist full attention to the patient. The receptionists, Heather and Thalia, are very nice and friendly. Experiencia fantástica: This review is long overdue. And it’s long. I’ve been coming to Live To Move Physical Therapy and Wellness clinic for eight months now, some 48 sessions. I can’t express enough how much I love coming here. I’ve been in six physical therapy programs in the past and seen how well a clinic can run, as well as one that can’t. Everyone here at Live To Move is excellent, and I highly recommend it! The Administrative Assistants, who are also physical therapy technicians, are such kind and professional people: Mikela Griffen, Thalia Tristan, Bristal Lucek, and Heather. Their assistance is invaluable. As soon as you open the door there smiles and welcoming voice are such a breath of fresh air. I love it! And the physical therapists are professional, knowledgeable, experienced, and they strive to get each patient healthy and back to the activities they enjoy. I’ve had the opportunity to work with several staff members. Dr. Clancy Nelson, a fellow Marine, emphasized the importance of pushing to the pain and not through it to prevent setbacks and increased pain. Doctors of Physical Therapy have the skills to diagnose and prevent potential future issues that may be associated with the patient’s current injury or presentation. Erin Bass is a Physical Therapist Assistant and also a Certified Personal Trainer. She is the most charismatic of the staff, which is a delight when I’m consumed with pain. Like the doctors, Erin uses designed exercises and techniques to help alleviate pain, restore physical function and mobility, and facilitate physical activity. Dr. Marissa Gray has also been treating me on issues that required attention in order for me to push on with the main objective. She is another knowledgeable doctor I highly recommend. I appreciate her treatment philosophy emphasizing on the overall patient wellness, with the use of manual therapy, detailed-oriented instruction, empathy, and focus on positive outcomes to achieve patient’s goals. Dr. Cameron Curtis has treated me, as well. He is easy going, relaxed, friendly, and most important, an excellent physical therapist. Within eight months, I’ve had the opportunity to work with most of the staff, and I can tell you they all treat you with respect, kindness, and well, like family! I just love this clinic. And you will too!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been seeing Marissa Gray, DPT for a few months now to help strengthen my pelvic floor muscles and to heal my diastasis recti. At my initial visit, Dr. Gray compassionately listened and addressed my concerns. From there, we worked together to set attainable goals. Her level expertise is evident in how she crafts individualized treatment plans. Although I normally dread core related exercises, Dr. Gray has made my core strengthening journey less cumbersome. Just as little as a few months, I have seen a dramatic improvement in my core strength. Prior to starting therapy, I wasn't able to unable to hold a plank or my child without feeling pain or pulling in my abdomen. Now, with Dr. Gray's help, I am able to hold a proper plank, deadlift, and attend yoga once again. Dr. Gray is awesome! I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to improve their core strength and pelvic floor muscles!

I have my physical therapy sessions with Cameron for my rotator cuff muscle tear. I had been to a different place for therapy for about one and half months but there was no relief to my pain. But after my first few sessions with Cameron, I was able to feel the difference. He has been extremely patient and attentive since my first visit/evaluation. Has great knowledge of his job and the exercise he gives me are really helping in improving my arm/shoulder movements. The highlight of my every session is the massage therapy by Cameron for the first 20-25 minutes which is not only relaxing but also effective for the pain. I strongly recommend Live to Move in Manvel TX and especially Cameron if anyone looking for physical therapy.

I worked with Marissa on an intermittent abdominal pain issue that had been dismissed by several doctors. She quickly figured out the cause and came up with a treatment plan. After completing the steps, my pain went from "excruciating" at its worst to "barely noticeable" at its worst. Can't recommend enough.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a major knee injury that rendered me unable to bend my knee past 30 degrees. My orthopedist initially recommended that I completely rest my knee. After a few weeks and no improvement in my range of motion (ROM), my orthopedist recommended that I urgently see PT and referred me to Live to Move. I had the honor of being cared for by James, one of the co-owners. After 2 visits, my ROM improved to 90 degrees; 3 weeks later I had almost recovered my ROM completely. Live to Move has amazing physical therapists. These guys are miracle workers. They are very confident and aggressive with PT, but very safe. They are data driven and follow what has been shown to work scientifically. They are also super friendly. By the end of my 10 visits, I felt like I had made some new friends; and of course I had completely recovered my ROM, enabling me to add strengthening exercises and other exercises to further improve my ROM. I highly recommend Live to Move physical therapy.

Experiencia fantástica: I was referred to a pelvic floor therapist in Houston by my OB/GYN and after a quick search on our local moms group I came upon Live to Move! I was a few weeks postpartum and had quite a bit of pelvic weakness and discomfort after my pregnancy so Molly had her work cut out for her. I saw Molly (almost) on a weekly basis and she had the BEST bedside manner. I never felt weird or uncomfortable despite pelvic floor therapy being super personal/intimate. Molly is passionate about her work and IT SHOWS! She is staying on the up-and-up on her pelvic floor education and does a really great job educating her patients while seeing them. Molly provided me with realistic exercises that I can fit into my busy mom-schedule and was understanding when I wasn’t able to fit them in that week. I’m super excited to say that my pelvic pain has resolved along with the slew of other discomforts that came along. I would 100% recommend anyone that needs a little postpartum strength/support to Molly!

Experiencia fantástica: Best therapy ever! I had a rotator cuff tear repair on my right shoulder. This was my first time having therapy, but I have gone to therapy with other family members and the difference is so apparent. I never walked in and was told, "you know what to do" or "ok now go to the next station". Every single session was thoughtfully planned to my progress and to my needs (I love a good challenge). Even when I had a significant set back, my therapist, Clancy, tossed our planned session and started a new one that day. It seemed like everyone in the clinic was in on my success and celebrating with me. From the beginning, I was asked to set goals and we reached my goals of being able to play baseball with my kids and do three push ups. Honestly, I wish I could keep going but I'm fully recovered now. ...but if I need therapy again, I will definitely be back!

I started going to physical therapy for the first time in April 2021 for a labral tear in my hip. It was my first time in physical therapy and I didn't know what to expect. In the initial visit with James we discussed my diagnosis and he gave me an idea of how he can help/ things to alleviate the pain. Each session we worked on a variety of stretches and workouts. James was very positive and friendly, along with the rest of his staff. I recommend this establishment and if I had to go back to therapy this is my first choice. :)

Experiencia fantástica: I had two appointments with Dr. James Poenitzsch to work on my lower back (intermittent problems at least once a year). The evaluation and follow-up appointment were great! I received clear instructions and guidance on all movements and a nice set of exercises to loosen up and strengthen my core.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience at Live to Move was 10/10! The staff are all personable and caring, and Dr. James helped me get back to normal after a lower back spasm. He made sure I had the tools to continue strengthening my back after my sessions. I went from an old man hobble to runway superstar, (or maybe just a dad who can lift his 1 yr old again). I'm very grateful and highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I recently had back surgery and was referred to Live to Move for Physical Therapy. I was very impressed with Dr. James and all the staff. You walk in and the entire atmosphere is positive. The staff are extremely pleasant, and the gym is spotlessly clean with a variety of well maintained, modern equipment. Dr. James gave me a variety of exercises that did wonders! I would recommend Live to Move to anyone needing therapy. Great place!!!

I was told I needed surgery for a nerve issue, but before I spent the money for that, Dr. James Poenitzsch advised PT could be a solution. Sure enough, after just 2 weeks I was feeling the difference and after a few more weeks the pain went away thanks to his work. I also did this through telehealth sessions in the convenience of my own home, and it was extremely easy to use just by clicking a single link in an email. James articulated and describe the motions and positions very well and was able to demonstrate over the camera exactly what to do. James, Molly, and their staff were very professional, polite, patient, and knowledgeable. I was very impressed by his front office staff as well, they did an excellent job with communication and were very kind. I would highly recommend this practice for any PT services!
