He is a very experienced doctor, who listens to your problems and issues. He spends time with you explaining his train of thoughts and reasoning. He will provide you with the best natural herbal supplements available on a market. Sometimes you will get one, other time he will give you several. The healing is a process, it will never happen overnight, I had to learn to be patient. There is also a wonderful group of additional staff of this medical clinic. Everyone is super nice and helpful, very quick with checking you in or out, and going extra mile to make sure you understand the dosage of prescribed supplements. Very nice and pleasant place. Strongly recommended.

We don’t have a need for medical care often but I wanted someone on hand for the rare times we do. We’ve been there for physicals only. Today, I called because my son has a debilitating pain in his side, assuming they would fit him in as most practices would. I was told that he could not be seen until march 25.- a month away. I explained to the receptionist that this was an urgent situation and I hoped he’d be fit in. I was told “we don’t have any availability until March 25.- she was very rude. I cannot believe this - how does this doctor treat sick patients if they have to wait for a month to be seen? So we are left without medical treatment and headed to urgent care which is definitely not my choice. Shame on this practice. I would not recommend anyone depend on them for health care.- unless you can plan on getting sick a month in advance.

Experiencia negativa: I moved to Knoxville in October 2020 and quickly established a patient-doctor relationship at Sulack Health and Wellness. I was looking for a practitioner who respected medical freedom and found that at Sulack, a holistic and Christian practice. However, there have been changes this year, including rude and stressed employees, high turnover, and long wait times, every time being 1-2 hour waits. I had to contact the office multiple times for referrals for my children's therapies. I had to cancel and reschedule appointments due to emergencies and illness, but I understand the importance of respecting a clinic's time. Unfortunately, I received a text saying we were being dismissed from the practice, which caused me distress. Despite the challenges, I still valued the appointments and admired Dr. Rhea and most of the staff at Sulack. The text message stated that we were being dismissed for violating a cancellation policy that was never discussed in our three years as patients. We were blindsided by this as we had never received a warning or discussion about it. It is important to have a doctor who respects medical freedom, especially for my special needs children. Being cut off without any prior communication was wrong and terrifying. I called the front office in a panic, but the manager confirmed that the text was not a mistake and mentioned "other" reasons for the dismissal without providing details. I expressed shock and disappointment, as we had been respectful and engaged during our visits. I thanked them for their time and requested our records be transferred to our new provider. This experience has left us hurt and shocked.

Experiencia negativa: Some chiropractors are gentle, intuitive healers. Some crack your back. Unfortunately, this one is the latter. I waited over 40 minutes past my appointment time before he roughly cracked my back and sent me on my way. He was so rough that I head a headache right after seeing him. Definitely won't be back.

Shortly after moving with my family to Knoxville, I was unpleasantly surprised to find that nearly all the pediatricians in the area refuse to see children who do not follow the CDC immunization schedule. Luckily Dr. Rhea is a bit more open-minded than most and has an extraordinarily pleasant bedside manner and way with children. He is board-certified and residency-trained. Highly recommend him! The only downside I have experienced is that the wait times at the office tend to be a bit long, but we plan for each visit and make it work.

Experiencia fantástica: In 2003, I fell 43 foot from a tree straight to the ground. I had several severe injuries as well as a life changing diagnosis of CRPS. I’ve had 5 reconstructive surgeries and had spinal and ganglion blocks under anesthesia monthly for years. My doctors had me addicted to opioids all this time. At my highest dose, I was being given 50mg Fentanyl patches to change out every 2 days. I decided I did not want to live like that any longer and weaned myself off of a substance I had been taking for over a decade. Dr. Mike has been instrumental in keeping me off pain medication for several years. He’s become an important part of my lifestyle management, and I’m proud to now call him a friend.

True story, I actually cried in my car after my first visit because I felt relief after years of lower back pain. He is very experienced and knowledgeable. The entire staff is professional and kind. The staff was very helpful and nice to talk to during my appointment. They had a lot of appointments the day of my visit but I was still back in a room at the correct time. At my first consult, he sat down with me and my husband and really took time to personally listen to our concerns and health goals. His adjustment approach is so gentle, but amazingly effective. I'm very much a "go when I'm hurting" patient. Every time I've gone in with an issue, he can immediately spot my trouble area without me saying a word! It's amazing! I had sciatica for the first time about a couple years ago. I could barely walk, couldn't get comfortable in any position. All the tears. He gave me some guidance on healing, adjusted me 2x, and I was able to begin running again within a week. He's absolutely amazing. Since seeing Dr. Mike, I've learned so much about better health and wellness. I learn something new every visit. Dr. Rhea is an brilliant doctor. I appreciate that he is experienced and knowledgeable about everything medicine, but he thinks outside the box and tries to help find wellness solutions instead of just being dismissive and throwing a pill my way. He, too, never rushes through my visit, takes time to listen, and truly shows that he cares. If I have 100 questions, he will patiently answer 100 questions. If he doesn't know the answer, he will find an answer. The front desk manager, Janet, has always been so helpful and friendly. I always feel welcome by the staff. I feel very fortunate to have found Sulack Health and Wellnes in our community.

His office staff is super friendly and Dr Sulack’s procedures in adjusting your spine has cured me of restless leg syndrome and has relieved my husband of sinus issues that he suffered with for years. Experiencia negativa: TL;DR If you’re visibly queer, don’t go here. I was a patient of Dr. Sulack’s for a couple of months before a particularly rough experience had me seeking chiropractic care elsewhere. The admin staff is great, nothing but helpful and kind. My initial exam and treatments from Dr. Sulack though were not very thorough. They didn’t take any xrays of my back, and did a very brief initial assessment before jumping into care. I was told to come back in when I felt like it and given no suggestions for how I could build muscle strength to keep adjustments in place longer - just a quick click or two for $50 a visit. They don’t schedule appointments, so when you arrive you could have no wait or an hour wait. Dr. Sulack was pleasant enough at first, but I noticed an increasingly cold/indifferent attitude shift in how he interacted with me as my clothing and hairstyle went from feminine/long hair to androgynous/short hair during the time of my care there. At my last visit I was sent to a treatment room with one patient who in front of me to wait. I waited 25 minutes in the room while (because they leave all treatment room doors wide open) listening to the Dr. have a very personal, religion-focused discussion with the patient well after their adjustment was finished. The topics and personal views they discussed made me feel extremely uncomfortable, unwelcome, and unsafe as a queer, gender non-conforming person. The Dr’s coldness in his interactions with me made a lot more sense after that. They showed no sign of stopping their conversation after 30 minutes, and I was out of time to make my next meeting, so I left without treatment and haven’t returned. I was never contacted after by the practice - I did tell the front desk that I was leaving without treatment because I was frustrated and couldn’t wait longer for them to finish their chat, and I was surprised that there hasn’t been any follow up from anyone. Since then, I found a wonderful new practice(Homberg Chiropractic) who have provided a holistic treatment plan starting with X-rays (that caught a serious unrelated medical issue), comprehensive adjustments, targeted posture-correcting exercises, and an inclusive, respectful, and affirming healthcare environment for all people.

Experiencia positiva: An ok functional medicine doctor. Chiropractic care is gentle and done very well! They are very good with kids too! My only complaint is that the appointment ran really long, and the cost of supplements my husband and I needed was over $800. They did help, but it did seem a little pricey. Not sure if the laser treatment was worth it, I didn’t feel any noticeable effect. The biofeedback at least seems accurate, it knew things that I didn’t disclose.

Experiencia fantástica: Low pressure chiropractic office with friendly staff. I drive 25 minutes to visit this office because no one closer to me comes close to what this office offers. Reasonable pricing and wide range of services.

Experiencia negativa: I made an appointment with Dr. Rhea for my 5 year old daughter several months ago (it was the first available that he had). We arrived at 3:00. Our appointment was at 3:30. I asked last week how long the appointment would take so I could allocate that amount of time away from work etc. They told me 50 minutes. We were there from 3:00 until 5:00 and then asked how much longer to see the doctor and was told another hour to 1.5 hours. We were also told that most people plan to spend their entire afternoon there if they want to see the doctor. I actually would have planned for that if I had not been told 50 minutes. In order to see the doctor you will want to plan for minimum of 3 hours. This is very poor scheduling and communication. No consideration of patient’s time. My 5 year old was not even able to see the doctor. We did not plan for that length of time so she was very tired and hungry and would not be seen until 6:30pm! Such a huge disappointment as normally she is very anxious to go to a doctor but since I explained this was a different, special kind of doctor she was actually very excited to meet him. Please do better and correct your scheduling and communication with patients!

Experiencia negativa: My mother had a horrible experience today at this place. Her appointment was at 2pm But she arrived early. She paid her copay and has insurance. Dr. Sulak saw her immediately but only worked on her for a few minutes when he usually is more hands on. After that my mother waited an hour to see dr. Ray at 2, no one said anything to her. When she went to the receptionist at 2:50 and asked if everything was ok and if dr. Ray was a bit behind the woman was rude and extremely snarky towards her. A young woman in her 20s was working. When my mother asked if she could at least pay for her appointment with dr. Sulak the girl working asked if my mom has insurance and she said yes that it’s usually $25 every visit. Then the girl proceeds to ask her “are you sure?” … Yes I’m sure my mother is aware of the cost as she has been there before. The nurse practitioner came out and apologized for the delay and say that my mother would have to wait an additional hour and a half. After she was told that my mother canceled her appointment. Just awful awful experience she will not be back and was very disappointed.

I love that he uses the integrator device instead of only traditional chiropractic care where they manually manipulate you(cracking and all that). Experiencia fantástica: I love this place!! The staff is super sweet!! They are so helpful and very supportive!! I have only been coming here for a few weeks and I chose to do the PRP on Friday for my shoulder pain I've been having for 6 weeks. This weekend I had a normal fun weekend with my family with very little pain!! The pain was making it almost impossible to do anything like cleaning, laundry, dishes, anything really!! This weekend I did all of the above and then some!! I was able to play with my kids and even help my husband with some yardwork. It was a night and day difference in just a day!! I was absolutely Amazed!! I can't wait to continue going and seeing how much better I feel with my other issues. This place is fabulous!! They listen to you and truly care!! I highly recommend!!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Mike, Dr Ray, and their staff are great. I’ve spent my entire life thinking that no one should ever need a chiropractor. I was wrong and Dr Mike is great. They practice a healthy balance between traditional medicine, natural medicine, and homeopathic remedies.

Experiencia fantástica: Attention mamas! Dr Rhea is the only doctor in the area who will see my non vaccinated son. I have called every office including Christian ones, and they are open to all except the unvaccinated. I found him through a news article of moms speaking out about lack of doctors willing to take unvaccinated children. This should be illegal! Glad there is at least one honest doctor in Knoxville. I know their office supports vaccines but at least they care enough to see your child. Glad to put my money towards this office.
