Experiencia fantástica: This place is definitely one of my favorits. The facility has multiple pools, a hot tub and a plunge. The workout rooms are well equipped too.

Experiencia negativa: Not worth the $140 + a month for 2 people. It's so small and cramped it feels oppressive. Tiny pool. Tiny space. The equipment is lacking. The locker room is so heavily deodorized that I almost have an asthma attack every time I walk in. Horrid elevator that only works sometimes. Parking is an issue. We also did not receive my husband's Veteran's discount. Do yourself a favor... Find a better gym. We did. This place is just awful.

Experiencia negativa: Went to this gym for many years. Was on a first name basis with the staff and loved a lot of the members here. I cancelled my membership about a year ago, but they instead put my account on pause in which my membership was reactivated months later. I did not get any notifications for this, no emails/no texts, nothing. I finally realized I was being charged months later, so I called to get my money back. They make you get in touch with the Harahan location, in which they have clearly been instructed to try and just ignore whoever calls for billing. Tried to get in touch for weeks, and then it was just braindead responses from them.

Experiencia negativa: This location is getting worst everyday this is a infrastructure and equipments complain the staff is really good here and pretty much in every location… but equipments here are not update sauna is often out of service elevator also always with issues, ac now is broke and by the way no heater in winter…. and no notifications is send, waisting time. This is a pretty expensive gym for at least this location for what they have to offer.

Experiencia fantástica: Unfortunately the indoor swimming pool, hot tub, cold deep and sauna was closed due to remodeling, however it will all be reopened after the first of the year. The cafe/ juice bar has come a long way with healthy choice foods. The smoothies are excellent. The gym has an abundance of equipment, the running track upstairs is well laid out, racquetball courts are always busy, the outdoor pool is heated, the kids area is superb and the wellness/ massage area is outstanding. I was a member here years ago and since Ochsner Hospital has taken it over, they've added so much more. It has always been the preeminent health club in the city and continues to be so. The locker rooms/showers are well maintained. The gift shop is well stocked. There are more opportunities at this club than above mentioned! It's nice to be a Silver Sneakers member and no longer have to pay dues!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I was there to see the place. I joined while there. They took Silver Sneakers. A nice young man took me on a tour. It had lots of treadmills and stationery bikes some recumbent. There was a pool not big enough for laps but there was a water exercise class in the pool. There was a weight room with cable machines and free weights. I was told they had dry and wet saunas,locker room, a spin room and a yoga area. It was well equipped. We got there at around 9 o'clock busy but room to get on the equipment. It seemed a little expensive if not for the Silver Sneakers. I plan to go back and try it soon.

Experiencia fantástica: Metairie location is small but nice and clean. There's lots of equipment, a spin class room, yoga room, aerobics room, sauna, hot tub, and a pool. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is cable TV with bluetooth connectivity on equipment.

Experiencia fantástica: OFC’s Heritage Plaza location is convenient, clean, and has everything you need from 24 hour access to a variety of classes. It also offers personal training sessions, which I can not speak highly enough of. I’ve been training with Jason for over two years and I couldn’t be more pleased with his calculated workouts, flexibility in schedule, and plans he gives to be implemented on days where I am not training with him. Thankful I found Heritage Plaza and Jason!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been a member at OCHSNER FITNESS CENTER for over ten years. I especially like the convenience of it because if I’m in a different part of the city working I have access to three different locations. Over the years I have taken several of their various different classes, spinning and body pump are my faves. But I recently, over the past couple of years, have had a wonderful trainer. Jason’s workouts always keep you guessing. No two sessions are ever alike and he’s completely unpredictable. This has been the key to my body finally changing. Jason is super sweet but he pushes you at the same time. It’s important to me to feel comfortable with my trainer and relaxed or else I would not continue. Overall I find OCHSNER FITNESS a well rounders club and they offer it all.

(1 year during pregnancy) I have been able to achieve results that I have not seen before when working with trainers at other gyms. Workouts are just challenging enough and never boring. I introduced myself to him because I was impressed with his approach and demeanor as he was training another client at the gym. Before we started, he asked about my goals and objectives. He created diverse, challenging workouts for me. I felt like I was never repeating the same exercise twice. I was so impressed to hear him describe his process for developing custom training sessions to meet my goals. It’s a partnership. I see accomplishment, and I feel supported. Ochsner provides a welcoming and safe atmosphere. I highly recommend Jason Seifried.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been training with Jason for approximately a year and a half. He set up a regimen for me that we follow 3x per week as per my specific needs. It has been very effective in getting my definition back, endurance and strength . I would recommend it to anyone. I look forward getting up in the morning and spending time with him on zoom, during these difficult times during the pandemic.

Experiencia positiva: Nice workout center and atmosphere. Smaller than the Harahan facility but still plenty of exercise equipment, machines, and cardio machines. Newly redone floors in aerobic areas and brand new floors, equipment, and lighting in the class area. I have not frequented the Riding studio but it looks nice when opening the door. It has staffed hours but technically it is 24/7 with your Key card. If no staff is there it means no towels, pool, steam/sauna, hot tub, or shower

Experiencia positiva: gym is nice and was not crowded at all for late morning. classes were not my speed. unfortunately the tripple threat was more senior inspired with some zumba like dance moves and only a short strength part. the yoga was fine for that day as I qas sore and needed a slow restorative flow. it too was senior inspired and did not have a sweat level component to it sobfor most times it would be too easy and slow for me. I would visit again but may skip classes there.

Experiencia fantástica: POOL RESERVATIONS PLEASE do not stop Pool Reservations at Heritage Plaza. We have only 3 lanes and for a first com first served basis one could wait quite awhile for a swim lane. Swimmers have a hard enough time trying to get a spot. I and others swim a mile, more or less, each session. Without lanes and times for swimmers our workouts are in jeopardy. Swimmers cannot share a lane. Please consider the swimmers before you make a decision about the pool. It is not just for aerobics. Swimmers are members too. Sincerely, Maureen O’Dwyer

Experiencia negativa: This place is a joke staff show up late equipment is old and broken the hot water is out most of the time the work out floor is dirty.The Manger is so disrespect and uncaring. They worker there came up to me a falsely blame for something I did not do .I will never go back to this place ever again. Do waste your time or money at this place.Also I talk with the head person Eddie he was a real jerk to me and the Mane supervisor Clayton would not even talk to me .

Experiencia positiva: I have been a member of the Main Campus since May of 2015 and just now got over to the Heritage Plaza Campus (which is indeed closer to my home). I have enjoyed the difference in the water classes with the touch of music, meeting new friends and enjoying the club for the past week. I would recommend this to everyone. When I am in the pool, I feel like I am on a Cruise ship with the 3 skylights above and looking out over the clouds. Relaxing and refreshing as well. The instructors are warm and very nice when taking the classes. My trainer from the Main Campus has even transferred over here. Good Luck to all!

Experiencia positiva: Great satellite to the main campus fitness center. Good sized weight lifting area, and a good many treadmills as well. They even managed to fit a small pool and some sauna/steam rooms/hot tubs in as well. Child care is also offered, but the hours are a bit tighter than the Elmwood campus. Still, the staff is very friendly and courteous and seem to go out of their way to help. Love using this facility if I'm short on time to make it to Elmwood's main campus.

Experiencia positiva: I come here quite often for my working out routine, although this place is much better than any other gym in a five mile radius its not quite as nice as the main campus for Elmwood fitness center, its definitely a great satellite branch though. Its got a small pool and plenty of space, weights and options for anyone trying to get a great workout in.

Experiencia negativa: I would not recommend this gym in the summer if you are an adult without and past the child bearing age. I just left the indoor lap pool that was filled with a family of 11 taking two lanes, dressed in their street clothes, not exercising, with small children, throwing soda bottles in the pool, NOT EXERCISING..... Not the atmosphere of anyone trying to improve their appearance and be in an athletic atmosphere of bettering your life.
