Experiencia fantástica: Been a member for a month now. We have been to the gym everyday for a month. We really like it. Super friendly staff and very clean. No complaints at this point at all. We are just getting into our assessments. Chris was really nice and thorough. PT workouts scheduled and looking forward to those. Excited about the coming months.

Experiencia negativa: Everytime I come it seems another machine has "Out of Order" sign. Some have been broke several months. As much as we pay, fixing equipment should be top priority. Gym has gone down the past year- seems less classes for those starting out, need more evening classes that fit a variety of fitness levels.

Experiencia negativa: Locker rooms and connected facilties like sauna and showers are always lacking in cleanliness. Two weeks in a row now one of the showers smells like someone urinated in it, with the smell being even worse when the hot water is on. The cleaning crew of this place is severely lacking. The workout equipment itself is in great condition but be warned of the less than adequate cleaning capability of the staff.

Experiencia fantástica: It's easy to focus on the negative but... I've been to other, cheaper gyms. WellWay is much cleaner and more consistently stocked than any of them. Their spa went down, and they actually fixed it in a timely manner. They regularly scrub the pool to keep it clean. Yeah, sometimes members make a mess and its not instantly cleaned up by staff, but you come back the next time and the mess isn't still there. The classes are great, shout out to the awesome yoga instructors. The real issue imo is it was designed (architecturally) as a multi-faceted health center focused on group classes and sessions with trainers. But... it's evolved into upper middle class children hogging all the equipment and the lifting areas being totally over saturated. Adding a dedicated free- and machine weights section would be a good move for members, and probably a good move for WellWay as I'm sure many cancel their membership due to the lack of available space to lift.

Experiencia negativa: I am very disappointed with this gym's service. They have charged me twice without my authorization, and despite several attempts to resolve the issue, no one has responded or helped. I have called multiple times and even visited the gym in person, but no one, including the management, has taken responsibility or gotten back to me. This has been an extremely frustrating experience, and I cannot recommend this gym, especially the location in Liberty. Very poor customer service.

Experiencia fantástica: WellWay is one of the most beautiful fitness and wellness centers I’ve ever seen. Original artwork graces the walls around the walking track; equipment is constantly maintained and in working order. And the staff are friendly and professional. My recent wellness assessment with Chad was comfortable and explained thoroughly. It’s just a great place to work on getting my body in better shape.

Experiencia negativa: We used to love going to this gym but now are considering canceling our membership. They keep cutting classes and raising prices. My husband and I only go for classes but with the new schedule and class times we both are losing classes. The evening classes have moved up a half hour which makes it hard for working people and my husband to make it there. He now only has one Bodypump class on the weekend that he can attend per week and he used to be able to go three times a week.

Experiencia positiva: Very decent gym. It's clean, it's orderly, competent staff, great hours, well equipped. A lot of Instagram types work out here so you occasionally have to wait for equipment while people post to their social media. It's pricey. Started at 170 a month and then kept climbing north towards 190. Too rich for my taste. That's what was the nail in the coffin for me. If you're doing the classes, you're getting decent value. If you just want to work out, there's less expensive places and that's ultimately where I ended up. Would much prefer an à la cart option where the classes are an add on as I'm not a hot yoga type.

Experiencia negativa: I will preface by saying when I was a member of this gym, I really loved it. It's super clean and the locker room almost has a spa-like feel. I went to several yoga classes with Tamrin and she's AMAZING. My son did swimming lessons with Shelly and she was wonderful also. Last May my husband got extremely sick and had to go to the hospital, he ended up being admitted and didn't come home for almost two months. During that time he almost lost his life, had several procedures, and open heart surgery. As the sole income provider for our family, we were in a bad spot financially and the first thing I could think to cancel was my gym membership. I had also just found out I was pregnant with twins and was extremely sick with that, and raising our one year old alone. Needless to say, I wasn't going to work out anyway. I always planned on coming back to the gym, but after the experience I've had since I never will. I called to cancel my membership, told the woman our situation and said I literally could not afford the next month fee. I think it was almost $90 at the time and I needed that to feed myself and my son. She said I either had to pay that fee or they could pause my membership for $15 per month. I asked if she could please make an exception (I am not special at all but was desperate) and she said no. So I told her I would do the pause and decided I'd figure it out later because I just had so much going on. Fast forward to now. I haven't been to this gym in almost a year. I'm called and texted frequently by the billing office about the $15 fee. I am not even a member of this gym anymore. I am not going to pay you for a service I'm not utilizing. You are a very fancy, higher priced gym, and you're harassing someone for $15? When I'm not even using your facility? I just don't understand. I wish my entire experience with this gym had been welcoming and kind like it seemed at first, but after the way I was treated during an extremely hard time in my life, I just can't recommend them to anyone. Compassion should be more important than money.

Experiencia positiva: +18% increase on membership dues this month. That’s +18% since we joined 22 months ago (or +10%/year). At this rate, monthly dues will double every 7 years.

Experiencia negativa: I was a member of this gym and left a couple of years ago. I inquired about rejoining and found they no longer offer a veteran's discount or any discounts. It's a nice gym, but not that nice. $200/month for a family is insane.

Experiencia fantástica: Love going to this gym. It's clean and offers great amenities at a fair price. We are a family of 5, and all of us go to the gym. The group fitness classes have great instructors and are included in the price. I recommend going to their pound or Barre classes if you join.

Experiencia negativa: May 18 - waking early to work out and no employee to open. Another day and no employee arrived to open. Waited 20 minutes still no one. Yesterday all hand sanitizers and soap dispensers in the mens restroom were empty. Coming close to canceling my membership. June 30 - no one showed up to open until 6:15. The drinking water filter light has been on red for over a week

Experiencia negativa: They take poor care of the steam room. It never gets cleaned I keep telling them people are breathing in basically red and grey mold. The steam faucets are covered in residue. If the health department has to come by they would shut the place down. really wish they would clean the steam room then I would really enjoy Wellway.

Experiencia fantástica: I really enjoy this gym. However, I don’t understand the pool availability. All lanes will be closed in the morning (prime lap time) to accommodate classes that don’t fill the pool. Leaving at least one lane open is more than reasonable. **Update** The gym management has seemed to solve this issue - updated stars from 3 to 5.

Experiencia negativa: I have been to $80 a month gyms and this is not what it’s worth although that’s what they will charge you. They update contracts without telling members & constantly remove equipment with no anticipation of replacing it. As far as the weight training equipment you would be far better someplace else; very minimal back machines, no calf raise, no glute machine, no hip abductor. Why would you pay $80 a month to have 3 squat racks? Updating contracts without telling members is extremely shady. I’ve also had the pleasure of working here & it’s very easy to see it’s falling apart. The club manager often defaults to handing out write ups to everyone from one person’s mistake. You’ll only get a raise if you threaten to leave. I have never seen a place with so much turn over. Wellway still doesn’t own the building, it’s propped up by the liberty hospital. They’ll hire people with no work experience at all at a higher wage than what you had to work for to get. I’ve heard trainers give out very poor advice as well. I would recommend going to The Foundation in liberty. It’s cheaper and you get a lot more weight training equipment. I would not suggest this gym at all. They’ll tell you that you can use the TRX straps for every piece of equipment they remove. They’re cheating their members. Edit- The Glassdoor reviews (where employees leave reviews about their place of work) speaks volumes about how employees feel about wellway. This review entails the member side of things & the employee side of things. Go elsewhere, this is a warning as much as it is a review!

Experiencia positiva: I enjoy working out here. I do wish they had more equipment, but they make up for it by having lots of weights, kettelbells, and resistance bands.

Experiencia negativa: This place could be so much more but they lack in areas that others don't always notice or seem to bring up. The maintenance of facilities such as the steam room and hot tub and general locker room area leave much to be desired. At the present the hot tub has a gross looking green tint to it and I kid you not (and I have it on video) I found a bunch of small maggot like worms in the steam room and was just absolutely apolled to think a place that is about health and wellness but cannot maintain standard of clean facilities for the people who pay to be here. I only offer this as fair warning to those who look to come to this place. And I hope for better in the future.

Experiencia negativa: This was a fabulous gym/wellness center before it was bought by Wellway about a year ago I think? Now you can tell they don't maintain it as well, but charge us more. Equipment has issues, soap dispensers always empty, cleaning wipes always out, no longer any place on the second floor to put your hoodie other than a janky coat rack, dry sauna always seems to be down for maintenance, hot tub down atleast once a month, towels are dirty, cafe has a consistent burnt food smell. They've also completely stopped posting on social media about their shortened hours during holidays. I'm not the only one that notices. I've walked in a few times to people complaining to the front desk about these issues. It just doesn't seem to be helping. Disappointing to say the least.

Experiencia fantástica: I just wanted to say how impressed I am with Dr Colin who is the new chiropractor at Wellway. I have been seeing him for about a month now for neck and shoulder pain, and he has really helped my pain level and increased my mobility. He is very thorough and has a holistic approach to his care, it’s not just about doing a quick adjustment. My daughter is seeing him as well and you can tell he really cares about all his patient’s. I would highly recommend him!

I enjoy the variety it offers: a couple squat racks/free weights, cardio equipment, weight machines, areas to stretch, amazing pool….something for everyone! Snack bar and bathrooms are always well kept. People are friendly and inviting. Great place! My only complaint is the hours… as a college student who also works part time it’s difficult to get there before close…. Pre Covid they were open till 10 offering more flexibility.

Experiencia negativa: Be careful signing up for a monthly membership. Long story short, I signed my son up for a monthly membership in Jan that was to end June 1st since he was leaving for college. June 1st we quit getting receipts for payments so thought it was discontinued as discussed. In August, we realized our card was still being charged. I called and was told it was sent to accounting and would be credited, that has still not happened even after several phone calls and emails that have not been responded to. I eventually had to have the charges reversed through my cc company.

I need water movement for my arthritis & that was a big draw for me especially with towel service, class selection & bistro with food that meets my particulars.

Experiencia positiva: After a few frustrating missteps I finally made contact with the membership specialist and signed up. Locker room is pretty clean and classy and I love that the pool has reservation slots. The free fitness classes are great but they're almost all scheduled while I'm at work.

Experiencia negativa: Way too overprices for only having 3 squat racks and 2 bench presses. Good for old people with retirement money, but not worth it for any normal people here. Also have noticed some fairly odd individuals in here that act like they own the place and make my stay here uncomfortable. Will not be renewing my membership in the following months.

In their defense I couldn’t make one appointment but I did reach out again but got no response. I wanted this assessment before I started. So I’m paying each month for nothing. The facility itself is gorgeous and the customer at the front desk was excellent. I’m an employee of Liberty Hospital and want to make Wellway a part of my routine.

Experiencia fantástica: I basically live there. I go 6/7 days a week. Never been more satisfied. No complaints. Everyone is so sweet.

Experiencia negativa: The gym is okay for casual gym goers. They sell you at the front desk. It's nice, they have a cafe where you can order some lunch and they have a pool. There's some classes you can take as well. Plenty of ASCM personal trainers. I generally do strength and conditioning work however, and the squat racks get over crowded as well as the dumbbells racks. Keep in mind it's been a while since i've been here. The big reason for the negative review is that I told them to cancel my account a while back ago, and I realized they never did. I should have paid more attention I guess. I've had problems with billing companies that a lot of gyms use and that has to be the number 1 thing that irritates me.

Experiencia negativa: I am very sad to hear about the way that one of the trainers was treated by new management at Aurora. This trainer there was the reason for working out at this facility. New management let him go without notice unless he signed their non-compete agreement. Which of course he didn’t as all trainers have clients outside of the gym. Very very disappointing. Terribly unprofessional and I will be canceling my membership ASAP.

Experiencia negativa: I put my account on hold in February 2020 and asked that it get picked back up in October when the weather changed. In March and April 2020 they closed due to Covid and didn’t charge anyone b/c the doors were closed. In May when they opened back up they started withdrawing from my account again without my permission. I didn’t catch it until September and they refused to refund me my money. They said there was nothing on my account stating I called to cancel. I can show them the day and time I called when I canceled from my phone records. They only refunded me 1 month and told me it was my fault for not catching it sooner. But for 2 months after I requested to put my membership on hold I didn’t get charged, so I assumed it was all taken care of. Very bad business.

Experiencia fantástica: Great gym with a supportive atmosphere! The owners really care about the members and strive to make your experience great. I joined the gym as part of The Aurora Health & Wellness Center-week boot camp. It was a great experience and I had amazing results! The coaches were great and created a very encouraging environment. It truly was a team effort for each person to finish the workout of the day. There were people of all shapes, sizes, and abilities; and each person was successful. Every workout can be modified for each persons fitness level. I highly recommend this gym!!

The Aurora fitness center has a large offering of exercise classes in addition to pools, all the cardio machines you could imagine, decent variety of brand new weight equipment, four lifting platforms with squat racks, and an indoor track. The place is clean and kept to its "new" status on a daily basis. Take a moment to tour the place for yourself!

Experiencia fantástica: I toured the Aurora Health & Wellness Center when they hosted the Northland Chamber after hours. They said they have 5000+ members (14yrs to over 90yrs old) and are still growing. We were there during their busy hours and they still had so much equipment open. It felt so comfortable inside the gym and isn't at all what you expect. I love how they have private saunas in the locker room areas for women and men (separately) to make everyone feel more comfortable. Go check it out!

Classes, nice locker rooms, new equipment, trainers on site, hot tub, sauna, steam room, pool, cardio equipment, track, and café with very nutritious and good food. Membership is reasonably priced. And I've never experienced this place to be so crowded that you could not use some equipment. Friendly staff too.

Experiencia fantástica: This place is great! Clean facilities which include a swimming pool, warm pool, exercise equipment, and walking track. My favorite part are the classes. No one has to sign up or pay extra for these (although they do have some run by outside facilities for which that is not true). The class instructors are great, encouraging multiple levels so I can feel comfortable as a beginner and no spring chicken.

Prices are very competitive with the market and exceed what you get at other gyms with amenities. 65,000 sq ft, 2 pools, a therapy pool (appt only), sauna, steam room, spa(non co-ed) and any class you could imagine. All this included in your membership at no additional cost. The best, most knowledgeable staff. Love this place.
