Experiencia fantástica: I have always been supportive of chiropractic care, but Upstate Specific Chiropractic has taken this to a new level. They encourage clients to share their lives to be able to see more than an X-ray can show. This often helps them treat issues early before they become physically debilitating. In addition to adjusting the spine, they can help with the jaw, sinus pressure, and, in my case, knee issues. I thought I was months or maybe a year away from knee replacement when they began a gentle treatment to help alleviate some of my pain. In just a few months, I am walking comfortably and only have rare minor flare ups of discomfort. Four generations of my family are treated at Upstate Specific Chiropractic. Look them up. They are amazing!

Experiencia fantástica: I have had my fair share of wrong turns!  I began with neck issues over a decade ago and managed to get that ironed out through treatment that faded into random chiro visits through the years until a couple of years ago when my left hip began causing me trouble.  I had a good regular chiro, low body impact, but the visits were becoming more frequent than I wanted so I tried another that had PT included.  That chiro took more of a manual WWE approach to my body and my neck began acting up again, my hip worsened into a Piriformis problem, then crazy tingling began in my hands, feet, and legs. Minimal vertigo issues increased to bouts of vomiting.  My streak of tough endurance gave out when my tailbone was shifted forward in an adjustment.  WWE style may work for some, but not for this body. I am so very thankful for Upstate Specific!!  Dr. Megan, Dr. Alyssa, and Kyra are wonderful!!  I always look forward to seeing their smiling faces!  These ladies are happy to answer any questions, are kind and compassionate, and have perfected a warm, inviting, relaxing atmosphere where you can begin and continue a journey of healing.  If I lived closer to them and felt less guilty about spending too much I could easily go three times a week because I always leave feeling better and more relaxed.  While many ladies get regular manicures or pedicures for “me” time, I have a place where I get medical help and “me” time in one. Now roughly six months into treatments I have much less pain and popping in my neck and the piriformis issue is completely gone.  I am able to enjoy periods of time without hip pain, aside from random activities that set me a few steps back periodically.  I have much less tingling throughout my body, less headaches, less tailbone pain, and better sleep.  My vertigo is much improved (Dr. Alyssa has a cranial adjustment trick up her sleeve :-)) and I haven’t been sick from dizziness since treatments began.  Just like God isn’t done with me, thankfully, these ladies aren’t either.  I know I have much more healing in my future and I am so thankful I finally took the right turn for me!

The adjustments are followed by a 15 minute rest in their Resting Suite which allowed my body to accept the adjustment better. I have seen excellent results with objective xrays before & after six months that attest to my results. She found my daughter had a broken tailbone we didn't even know about (and had seen a pediatrician *multiple times* in the range it was broken ). She also found the digestive blockages she had....that we specifically saw the Dr for..and they told us she was fine. Clearly not. Anyways, Dr. Megan fixed it. She also reduced my son's anxiety, bladder issues (also saw the ped for- multiple tests, etc...they said it was "nothing" and "common"...he had a nerve compressed causing him to urinate 30-50xs/DAY!!!), she ALSO reduced his ASD symptoms/nervous ticks/ocd behaviors. We absolutely LOVE her. She saved my sanity, and acknowledged my motherly instincts when the "medical world" did not. Therefore, finding AND CURING my children/children's problems. They're doing MUCH better now and hopefully we'll be back soon. If you're questioning if a chiropractor is good for you, or they work, I would testify in court ALL DAY...they *WILL* CHANGE YOUR LIFE. ♥️♥️♥️

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Megan is an amazing, knowledgeable and caring Chiropractor. I first came to Upstate 36 weeks pregnant with an unexpectedly transverse baby. Specializing in the Webster technique, Dr. Megan fit me into her schedule quickly, even adjusting me twice before my next midwife appointment! She was very gentle and made the whole process easy and absolutely painless. She even directed me to a special transverse Spinning Babies workbook and provided references for local acupuncture and moxibustion specialists. Five days later, my baby had turned head down!! I was shocked! I continued to see Dr. Megan weekly until the birth and believe she was absolutely the reason I was able to have the birth I had hoped for as my body was in much better alignment. My only regret is not making it a regular part of my pregnancy care! If you're looking for a chiropractor and especially if you are expecting - call Dr. Megan!!

Experiencia fantástica: I realized today, as I walked in for an adjustment, that during the previous weekend I had not experienced lower back pain, which is amazing because I walked approximately 24 miles over 3 days! Before starting care with Dr. Megan, I couldn’t stand for more than 15 minutes without terrible lower back pain, and walking made it worse! Thank you, Dr. Megan!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Megan offers a great approach to chiropractic healthcare. Before every adjustment, she checks the cervical vertebrae (neck) by thermal scan, next she checks leg length and a few other things depending on patient’s needs, then she makes adjustments accordingly. Depending on the cervical scan and other checks it may be a simpler adjustment, or it may have to be an adjustment to the upper cervical vertebra. An upper cervical adjustment is immediately followed by laying down in the ‘resting suite’ with a neck pillow for 15 minutes or so (I typically take full advantage of this time and fall asleep). After time is up, Dr. Megan will rescan the neck to make sure the adjustment is holding well. If she feels another adjustment needs to be made, she’ll do so. She is very thorough, and her care and passion for chiropractic and her patients is very evident. My wife, two daughters (10 & 7), and I have been under the care of Dr. Megan weekly at Upstate Specific Chiropractic for over a year now. We have experienced nothing but positive results, including less sick visits to the doctor, fewer aches/pains, improved digestion, and better sleeping. I recommend Dr. Megan to everyone looking for a great way to approach proactive healthcare.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been seeing Dr. Megan for about 8 months 2 times a week. I am a large guy 6ft 6in and about 380 lbs. At first I was worried she would have trouble giving me adjustments but she showed me I had nothing to worry about. Since seeing her I have seen reduced swelling and pain from nerve issues in my back. Within 2 weeks of starting adjustments the swellings in my legs and feet I'd been having problems with, went away. With the swelling gone and the pain in my lower back, legs, and feet lessening I was able to finally start sleeping well. I went from 3 to 4 hours a night max to 6 to 7 hours easy. I am able to focus better at work and enjoy going off with my wife again. I am even considering joining a gym to build up my muscles and lose weight. I'm not in perfect condition but Dr Megan keeps me functioning the best I can at this point. I highly recommend a visit to see how she can help you.

We've learned so much about how the proper alignment affects your entire nervous system, allowing your body to function in a better way. Our family now notices when it's been too much time between adjustments, and we are glad to see the results we have seen - reduced back pain, fewer migraines, stronger immune systems, and healing of chronic issues that we had just come to expect from normal life. One of the reasons I was nervous about visiting a chiropractor is from stories I've heard of people being cracked and crunched and twisted--or even being hurt, so I was glad when she listened and calmly reassured me. Her emphasis on upper cervical care is much less invasive than what I was expecting from chiropractic care, and Dr. Megan is so gentle.
