Experiencia fantástica: I came to Family Chiropractic at 33 weeks pregnant because I was informed by my midwives that my baby was transverse. Not only was I feeling anxious about that, but I was also dealing with hip and groin pain on a daily basis. I met with Dr. Scott Ihrig and he helped me realize it was all connected and that if I worked on getting my body in alignment things would start to feel better and baby would flip. It has only taken a couple weeks and I am already feeling much better! I went to my most recent midwife appointment and baby is already head down! I feel so much less anxious and very happy to be taken care of by such a solid team. They are all so caring and attentive and I look forward to each of my appointments. Experiencia negativa: After my second consultation I wanted to go home to review my options. I was told by Dr. Scott, “let’s not waste my time or yours.” Which made me uncomfortable. Booked the service. After a few months, during my last appointment we found that the adjustment for my lower back was not entirely complete which would require me to schedule more days, costing more money. In the end my time was wasted. I didn’t feel like a patient/client, more like a sale. If you want a more personalized service this is not the place.

Experiencia negativa: They will smile right in your face and tell you that you are healing. Meanwhile you feel no difference. If you ask me it was all for the check. I was in a car accident sought out treatment there was told I couldn’t go else where. Once I felt like their treatment wasn’t working. They received over 60% of my settlement check. And all they did was pop my neck everyday. I wouldn’t recommend.

Dr. Scott has taken great care to look at X-rays and develop a plan with me to correct the issues with my back and posture. Just in the 6 weeks I’ve been here I already have far fewer migraines and my lower back pain is virtually gone. I can’t wait to see what the next six weeks brings! Experiencia fantástica: I've been to chiropractors prior to visiting Family Chiropractic of Austin and I have to say that Dr. Scott is the absolute best. I came looking for lower back pain relief and received much more than that. Dr. Scott spends a lot of time on education so that you fully understand how chiropractic care can affect your whole overall health (something I never got from prior chiropractors). His team is friendly and they encourage you to continue with your "homework" exercises so that you can get and maintain the best results.

Experiencia fantástica: For several weeks before visiting Family Chiropractic I was experiencing hip and glute pain. With the ongoing care from Dr Scott the symptoms are much less frequent and the discomfort is greatly reduced and getting better all the time. He has also helped me resolve my allergies through a diet plan. I used to take antihistamines every 24 - 36 hours but since my new diet plan I've not needed any in weeks. I'm now allergy free for the first time in years! Thank you Dr Scott and Family Chiropractic.

Experiencia negativa: Beware if you have insurance! They don’t file insurance for every visit, only for what they believe you are covered. I have filed insurance for a busy practice for over 35 years so I know how it works. Sarah stopped filing insurance for me and my husband and luckily I was following up with the insurance company and realized she didn’t file for 4 of my visits and 4-6 for my husband. We were paying our portion in full and had a zero balance in the office when I had her file the outstanding claims. I asked her to file for the insurance to pay me since I owed them nothing and she refused, now I know why! The insurance paid 240.00 on my claims and she only reimbursed me 140.00 even though I owed them 0. My husbands paid over 400.00 and she refuses to refund me even though his balance is 0! I encourage everyone who has seen them with insurance to follow up with the insurance company and make sure all dates of service were filed because they do not file for all visits! Also ask the insurance to file them non assigned and pay you otherwise you will never receive it from the Dr!!! I would never go back here or refer anyone to them because of the dishonest practice of reimbursement.

Sarah the front desk person was so nice and super helpful with getting things started. Dr. Ihrig took the time to get to know me and listen to my problems and concerns. Experiencia fantástica: Tried chiropractic work a couple of times in the past and never got hooked, mainly because lack of knowledge and it’s benefits but also never met a chiropractor that cared enough to explain what was going on with my body. I have been in pain for over 6 years due to old injuries from crossfit, Olympic lifting and competing. As much as walking into a random chiropractor ‘s office and getting adjusted was temporary relief, the pain always came back. I went to see Dr Scott Ihrig, about 6 months ago and have enjoyed the journey of feeling better as well as seeing my body get better through reassessments. Day one- Dr. Scott did not do any adjustments until he did a thorough body analysis and X-ray. Our second appointment he went over my results and —holy moly! I knew my body was jacked up but seeing it answered why I had been in pain for so long! We came up with a plan to help my body heal through adjustments, traction, & at home exercises I could do. I am now back to lifting (no pain) and enjoying even everyday things I took for granted. I plan on seeing Dr. Scott regularly moving forward because I know if I still want to train the way I do (with more attention to my movements and what works for me, of course) I know he will be able to keep my alignment from going astray again! Staff is friendly as well—Sarah at the front desk is amazing and helps me whenever I need to readjust my appointments and Allie (does my traction) is super funny and helps distract me when Dr.Scott changes my traction to and sees I’m uncomfortable! Lol I love that Dr. Scott changed my opinion on chiropractors, I have even referred some of my clients and friends to them!

Morgan saw her at 2 weeks old and regularly ever since. Pediatric adjustments have helped us with feeding issues, mobility, crawling, walking, ear infections, colds ect.... She supports and gives advice for my choice of a more holistic whole care approach with my family. We will always see Morgan before anyone else and honestly prior to having my 3 year old I was never a believer in Chiropractic care. Now it is the first thing I think of and first place i refer when talking to other moms.

I was introduced to Dr. Scott and Dr. Morgan through a trainer at lifetime gym and I'm so glad they referred me. After the first week of adjustments I knew I was in the right place. Even though I had 5 sublexations and 5 posture distortions Dr. Scott and his team had a plan for me. I have been going there for several weeks and I have noticed great improvement in all my trouble areas and little to no pain in my neck or shoulder. My forward neck is almost back in the correct place and my left hip is so much stronger. I have had pain in my neck and left shoulder for over a decade and it is now almost gone. He helps many woman through their pregnancy to help be aligned and to have your body straightened out for an easier pregnancy and birth. Drs gave me so many medicines to take including morphine that would not work. After a few er visits and taking these meds I go to Dr. Morgan and just in 2 visits my migraine is just a regular headache and i can function better. She is WONDERFUL she cares about you as a person and your health not how much money you have or temporary fixes. She wants full wellness and what’s best for YOU to be better. Experiencia fantástica: My friends! I go to Family Chiropractic of Austin for back issues. Dr. Scott Ihrig is SUCH a great practitioner! It’s like you’re at an MD’s office. You know those chiropractors who give up on you if you can’t relax enough for them to pop your neck? That’s not this guy. He sticks with you and gives you time to try and relax. This is something I definitely really value. I can’t recommend this facility enough!
