Experiencia fantástica: I bought a set of dumbbells from Jose. He was very helpful and gave me the best price possible. His facility seems great and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: I came to Jose for help because all of these reviews reflect reputability, excellence, and expertise. I had super high hopes for my time with Jose and upon meeting him I immediately felt like this was somebody I could trust. Even though I lost some weight in a relatively short amount of time (half of it being water weight) overall, I’m extremely disappointment in my experience. Jose does the bare minimum. Our sessions together mostly consisted of him being on his phone the entire time and/or walking away from me or leaving the room after telling me what to do. Luckily, I knew exactly what to do because he basically had me doing the same entire thing every single session. He was consistently unreliable and canceled sessions regularly/at least once a week - and most times, on very short notice. He also asked me to write a google review (see below) after only a few sessions, when he was still on his best behavior - and I happliy obliged. He then relentlessly pressured me to buy another 12 weeks of sessions when I wasn’t even 4 weeks into his program. One of the last times I saw him, he had a total stranger/young man walking around the gym and helping him do things - without warning or introduction. I paid for private sessions in a private studio and I do not appreciate having some random dude walking around while I’m vulnerable, on the floor, doing exercises with my butt in the air!!! Jose also asked me a very awkward question about whether or not I kept my larger clothes/implying that I thought I was going to gain all of my weight back. I was only supposed to work with Jose for 3 months but he went MIA on me TWICE, each for one month at a time - and I had to be the one to track him down. After returning to semi regular sessions, he tried to tell me that he “lost” all of my progress documents and that I only had 3 sessions left (when in fact, I had about 12). When I told him I kept track of everything he magically was able to produce my documents. The second time he went MIA, he warned me on short notice/the DAY OF my session (apparently this was an emergency vacation?) with a text that read “I be on vacation, text you when I get back thx”…. When I texted him to see where we went after 4 weeks - he IGNORED me! Just don’t give this guy your business, people! Please learn from my mistakes - there are better options out there! (Original review below) As a person who has struggled with weight management their entire adult life, the issue of weight/fat loss has become a very sensitive subject. I knew that if I was going to let somebody help me on my journey to lose weight and become fit, I was going to have to be very selective. I've only just started this process with Jose, but I already feel so completely at ease. He is the REAL DEAL: personable, nonjudgmental and knowledgable. I've never felt sO close to getting my dream body!

Experiencia fantástica: Jose is training my wife and I, I will speak to my experiences thus far. I'm a 6-6 and 240+ triathlete in my late 40s who did really train this year due to COVID (no races). Historically, I've done very little strength training, primarily limiting my training to swim/bike/run. I've also had lower leg tightness/weaknesses which significantly limit my ability to run without injury. My goal is to get a stronger core and be able to run injury free. We've had about 5 or 6 sessions so far, the work outs have had a good intensity and we've primarily focused on upper body and core, where I need the most work. Jose seems to have a good understanding of the muscle groups and how to train them. He is developing a plan to help strengthen my lower legs to help me run injury free, which we will implement shortly. Though, I haven't lost any weight during first 2+ wks, I'm not doing this to lose weight and have not altered my diet to supplement. I've been happy with the workouts and choosing to do with Jose thus far, will update after a month or two more.

Experiencia negativa: My girlfriend and I decided to purchase meal plans with Jose based on word of mouth recommendations from family. From the get go Jose’s communication has been sporadic and at times outright deplorable. Each step of the way I have had to reach out to Jose, follow up with Jose, and had to reach out to him to get any type of response. I had to send several messages to get our first 15 day meal plan, same experience for the second meal plan, and haven’t received the 3rd 15 day meal plan as of this writing. The first meal plan consisted of a distilled water cleanse and my girlfriend and I lost a combined 10 pounds, also not difficult to do when you’re purging water weight (professional fighters have been doing this for years). The food itself wasn’t terrible and the portions were appropriate. My disappointment with the plans was the lack of communication explaining why I’m eating what I’m eating, why I’m having my meals when I am etc... Which is what I would expect from a nutritionist. After the lapse on receiving the 3rd meal plan I decided to reach out to Jose directly and air my grievances. Jose accepted no ownership for the experience he created and simply chose to say he will respond to this review by sharing we lost a combined “20 pounds” on the first meal plan (15 days), which was water weight loss combined with a simple meal plan. That was the 30 days ago, Jose would not be able to share how much weight has been lost since that first 15 days. Jose also shared he would point to the reviews he has from relatives or close family members who have used his services. I share this to demonstrate a lack of empathy and ownership from Jose regarding OUR experience with him. Jose has made zero effort to make this right, beyond offering to give me my next meal plan (a day late and a dollar short). I am extremely dissatisfied with the level of service, communication, and follow up I’ve received from Jose. I hope that he uses this feedback to ultimately learn from this experience and change his approach for future clients. I would not recommend and I would not use Jose again in the future. For the price paid I could have easily saved the money and researched simple meal plans myself. I paid for a service, a convenience to avoid that leg work. Buyer, beware.

Experiencia negativa: Agreed on a deal for a piece of fitness equipment kept telling me he would send link to finish transaction. Then he tried to send me pictures of a more expensive unit because he sold the equipment we agreed on to someone else even tho he wouldn’t admit it. His website is horrible has no organization as he put the items at a higher price on there and then. Lower prices on letgo to try to make it seem you’re getting a good deal.

Experiencia fantástica: I have an extensive knowledgeable resume in this realm, a personal trainer for over 14 years, 3rd degree black belt in TaeKwonDo, 1st degree in IsshinRyu Karate, and 1st degree black belt in JiuJitsu. With that established, I trained alongside Jose for quite a while observing his dedication to an art, and drive to consistently improve, not only technique but his knowledge around a certain subject. This drive/passion in him, is also reflected on his guidance and support for others. He wants to help, he wants people to improve FOR THEMSELVES. That is how it should be.
