Experiencia fantástica: I had a truly enjoyable appointment with Yesenia. She was warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to. After a very informative consultation, we decided on Daxxify to treat my frown lines. I also opted for a tiny bit of filler to minimize the appearance of several small scars. I am absolutely LOVING the results so far! I will be scheduling with her again soon to continue my laser hair removal journey.

At nava they looked at all my symptoms together to actually treat the root cause of the problem rather than prescribing random drugs to treat the symptoms. The providers at nava are all very kind and informative as they take the time to explain your issues and why they are occurring. Experiencia positiva: It is confusing at first. So many disciplines want to help you. Sometimes it can be too much and hard to figure out. You don’t want to play whack-a-mole because chances are you’ve been doing that and it hasn’t worked with traditional medicine and prescriptions and whatnot. So once you have a steady routine of treatment and a solid take on what might help you, the staff and clinicians are wonderful slowing you down and helping you figure it all out with steady guidance, encouragement and knowledge. I look forward and am hopeful that I might find pain relief here.

Experiencia negativa: For those of us who have a disability (in my case, deafness)-I was told twice they would find an interpreter for me and I have not heard back from them. Really disappointed. Just be aware. One week later:still no response from them.

After hitting a roadblock with my medical team for almost a year, Nava's comprehensive blood work, doctor and nutritionist appointments, along with my dedication to the supplements and recommended services, have made a significant difference in how I feel. The team at Nava is both welcoming and professional. One highlight for me is the massage by Laurel. She provides the perfect massage every single time! The pressure is just right, and her hands seem to move with remarkable intuition. I always leave feeling refreshed and noticeably less stressed.

Experiencia negativa: I entered with high expectations for the care and guidance I would receive from the NAVA team. However, regrettably, my experience fell short of these expectations. My disappointment stems from the appointments with the medical doctor and nutritionist. During my session with the medical doctor, I felt that the discussion lacked depth and meaningful interpretation of my bloodwork results in relation to my specific concerns regarding the correlation between my health markers. This left me feeling as though the appointment failed to provide the valuable insights and guidance I had hoped for. Similarly, my appointment with the nutritionist did not meet my expectations. Despite my optimism about receiving a tailored diet plan to address the energy challenges I face due to my illness and medication, the session lacked personalized guidance. Instead, I received generic recommendations that I could have easily found online. She showed no care for me and the problems I brought up. I had anticipated a holistic approach to my care, with a focus on personalized support and guidance to help me achieve optimal health. Unfortunately, the emphasis of NAVA health is more on business than on patient-centered care. Furthermore, despite canceling my membership, I was billed, which is deeply frustrating. I explicitly requested cancellation during the setup, and I even followed up with a phone call to ensure it was processed correctly. I’m even more worried now that I’ve read reviews saying that they will take months to cancel my membership and issue a refund. My brother was hoping to find a nutritionist to talk to here as well, I told him to SPRINT the other way. I do not recommend this place at all.

After your initial round of calls/appointments they ask that you sign up for a membership for monthly services/while paying for those services on top of your monthly membership fee.

Experiencia negativa: Disclaimer: This is going to be long because details are necessary to understand the type of scam Nava is running. I write this review as someone who has experienced excellent alternative and holistic care. I started my journey with Nava under the belief that this would be a similar experience but I was sorely mistaken. At my initial appointment the nurse took my information and concerns but it didn’t necessarily seem like a doctor’s appointment. The strangest part was at the end when another person came on to “check me out” and that’s where he vaguely explained the membership component but it wasn’t at all thorough which by the end of this experience I realized was by design. Following the initial appointment, I went into the office and took my tests and did blood work. I also asked the front desk about the membership program and they gave me a pamphlet but once again no explanation aside from your insurance may cover some of it. Fast forward to my second appointment with the doctor, she was very standoffish and seemed ready to go. She prescribed me a hefty amount of supplements some of which were explained, others were not. But at the end a new person came on to do the check out but in all actuality it was a sales rep explaining how after my third appointment I will need a monthly membership to see any of the doctors or access any of the services. The recommended membership was $99 per month PLUS any recommended services. He also explained that he couldn’t tell me how much my insurance would cover for the services until I came in. The supplement total was well over $400 and one of the recommended tests alone was $800 out of pocket. When I started asking direct questions about alternatives to the membership and so on, the conversation got tense and he basically was like well you need to know by your third appointment if you’re going to get a membership or not. I asked about getting my test results and so on and that was ignored. He alluded to the fact that if I don’t decide then I won’t have access to my results. I checked my portal after my second appointment and before my third and none of my test results or notes were there. At this point I was convinced they were trying to hold them until I opted in to the membership. I met with Colleen Desimone the nutritionist who was very kind and patient. She was attentive to my needs and made sure my test results were released as they should’ve been after my second appointment. This time the sales rep couldn’t come on the line because there was a wait and I happened to miss the call. When I went back into the portal I still didn’t see the supplement recommendations so I had to call and the customer service people made a fuss about giving me access. I decided to google Nava Health & Vitality Center jobs out of utter curiosity. Not to my surprise, I found a job ad for “ health coach” which per the description is the official title for the sales rep that comes at the end of the appointments as I mentioned earlier. The whole purpose of the health coach is signing people up for these memberships and adding these high ticket services and “recommendations”. What gets me about this whole operation is the claim that they are doing something so different from western medicine when it’s honestly just a hustle. Had they been straight forward I wouldn’t have wasted my time and I could’ve been treated by folks who have my health needs at the center. Please please please read others experiences who have low ratings. I’m an avid review reader and it seems like for every bad review there’s a high one so they’re hidden. Read the BBB complaints and take your money elsewhere.

I have tried 3 massage therapists and by far Laurel, at the Bethesda facility, is the best. I was not necessarily unhappy with the other therapists, they were skilled and professional but Laurel attended to my needs exactly as I asked. Laurel is versatile, one day I could ask for a massage that requires a firm hand with pressure that will work out muscle strains and she will comply with my current needs. But I prefer light pressure and a relaxing touch and Laurel is always perfect. I am very grateful for the care at Nava, for all the skilled professionals and for their expertise that has helped me feel better, stronger and more resilient.
