No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay; there is a discounted/sliding fee schedule available based on family size and income.
Rural Health Services is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n). This health center receives HHS funding and has federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.

Experiencia negativa: I had a really bad experience today I got there 5 min late my appointment was supposed to be at 11:30 and I was late due to an accident that happened in front of me . I got there at 11:35-11:39 and they were really mean to me no greeting at all and I was like hey I’m here for my ultrasound and they were talking to each other saying yeah reschedule her I was very upset bc I took today off from work to be able to go and they have to understand that car accidents happens and I was even more upset bc there was barely ppl at the lobby waiting there was only one person. Yall can check cameras to see when I got there and how many ppl was there . I got there less than 10 mins late . And before I even told Hispanic receptions my name I could already feel her energy like she doesn’t like her job and keep in mind I work in customer service and they are not welcoming at all no smile . I will be looking for somewhere else bc this place will not get my service again . They made me cry and I’m pregnant. Please train them better at greeting ppl and making them feel welcome . I am also Hispanic and I love helping my community but with them it felt off . I am so sad about how I got treated today no compassion for me . It hurts my feeling bc I been a customer for clyburn since I was little my mom would bring me here when I was a child and I grew up and still came to Margaret j Weston and clyburn bc they are all I have known and I respected them. But today after this experience I draw a line and take my business somewhere else

Experiencia fantástica: I've been coming here for a couple of years and have really had no issues. Recently though I had a doctor that went above and beyond and I wanted to give him recognition. Dr. Cohen saw me a week ago about an ingrown toenail I had that had been bothering me for months. He immediately offered to fix it for me by removing part of the nail that day so I didn't have to be in pain any longer. Today I just had my one week follow-up and I'm healing well and no longer in any pain. This has been a great relief to me and I am beyond satisfied with the care I've received here.

Experiencia fantástica: Despite some mixed reviews, I genuinely think this place is great. Yes, they’re very busy, and like many places, they’re a bit short-staffed. However, they work hard to respond to everyone, and if you leave a message, they’ll get back to you as soon as they can. Communication could improve, but overall, I still love this place and appreciate the effort they put into their service.

Experiencia negativa: I really wish that I could give this place 0 stars. I am a service provider and have a caseload of children. I have to drive over, every week, just to make appointments. No one ever answers their phone in dental, OBGYN, and the vision center. I had to speak with my organization about partnering with different providers since our children are not getting their needs met in a timely manner. Horrible. It makes you question yourself why? Is it due to the population they serve (low income, immigrant, etc.) Or, do they just not care about providing accessible and quality healthcare?

Experiencia negativa: The NP I saw was great, but the gyn clinic isn't the best. They postponed my appointment to the next week and then wouldn't respond when I had questions about my appointment. I had to cancel since no one would answer me and now I have a time-sensitive issue that no one will help with. Very concerning.

Experiencia negativa: This place is a joke. The doctors they have are rude and the dentists they have there are even worse. They cut my wife's gums so bad that she can't even be fitted for dentures properly.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a patient of Dr Farmer for approximately 4 months. Her attention and detail to my health is indescribable. My first visit with her was over an hour. She went through my whole history, and let me tell you there were a lot of ailments that we discussed. She explained in detail every one of them. I’m now able to understand my body and how to take better care of myself. I don’t take my health lightly anymore. My monthly visit is the highlight of my day. I’m Blessed to have here as my physician. Thank you Clyburn Center for my wonderful Dr.

Experiencia negativa: My therapist Lexus was really kind and calmed me down when I was panicking....the NP carolann...was nice... but basically said I need more intense treatment than what they can give. I put on a smile or neutral expression and just nodded at her....I'm so confused...does clyburn not take patients with severe symptoms?is it just a place for mild symptom patients?Atleast she did give me a printout of other places to go to. I'll just have to go back to the understaffed aiken barnwell mental health which having trouble getting an appointment bc the whole computer system is down and apparently they can't make appointments without a computer.....use a pen and paper people. It's not that hard.

Experiencia negativa: Rude, know it all doctors that likes to ask you you if your newborn child is trans. Dirty rooms in the pediatric section and mental health that doesn’t listen to you at all. I’m currently switching providers and I would never recommend anyone to become a patient here.

Experiencia negativa: My best friend went there on Monday March 4th and had a tooth removed. They didn't numb her enough and charged her 10$ for a paper towels in front of her clothes. She also wasn't given antibiotics or anything for pain.

Experiencia negativa: This place makes you feel so uncomfortable. THE ENTIRE STAFF IS UNPROFESSIONAL! Especially the dental office. This isn't a good example for a community, the way they treat people is unacceptable. I asked for a business office and my head instantly chewed off. I'd rather them tell thr TRUTH and not pretend to want to help.
Experiencia fantástica: Dr Fulford and his assistant (sorry, didn’t catch her name) were both very thorough with my vision exam today. He was extremely patient with me and was also knowledgeable and kind.
Experiencia negativa: What happened with me was, Dr. Jones didn't tell me that everybody else could read what I wrote in the patient portal. He broke the doctor/patient confidentiality, and betrayed my trust! Once that's done, you lose faith in the entire Rural Health System! What I wrote was addressed to him! And when I went in for my next visit, most of the girls were laughing and snickering at me! That's not fair! But I guess that's life! JUST BECAUSE THEY DID THEIR JOB, DOESN'T MAKE UP FOR BETRAYING ME!!
Experiencia negativa: Very sad excuse for a doctors office. I’m not sure who is allowing so many people to make appointments at the same time but you should realize it is not working! Waiting 2 hours to be seen let’s me know I wouldn’t have been a priority once in the doctors room anyway. I will not be going back for any reason.

Experiencia negativa: I wish i could give this place a zero but that’s not an option. Phone system completely sucks, even told my doctor it was impossible for me to get in touch with anyone. I was told I had to drive up there to cancel any appointments. The nurses are completely rude. Even the lab workers on the second floor talk badly about the doctors. This was the most unorganized office I had ever been too. I transferred to Aiken ogbyn and have 10x better service than this place ever provided. I definitely would not recommend this office to anyone! It doesn’t have a 2.7 stars for no reason! Absolutely sucks!!
Experiencia positiva: I'm writing this review for a three because when the patient changes primary care doctor we (patient) aren't notified. So it doesn't give us a opportunity to research for a new doctor. It's like surprise I'm your new doctor at the appointment. I hope my next appointment my primary care doctor (new) can stay ahead on my health issues. I like someone to take the time listen an discuss treatment plans or health concerns. Not here's some meds come back in a month.

Experiencia negativa: My last 3 appointments over the last 2 months have all taken between and hour and a half and two hours to be seen after arriving on time for check-in.
Experiencia positiva: Ms Angela was very patient and understanding. She took her time with me and made me feel at peace with the work she did on my teeth cleaning. She did a very beautiful job. However, Dentist Ross was not as patient. Dr Ross did a quick examination on my teeth.. maybe 5 minutes and left out the room in a flash. Dr Ross needs to work on her patience skills and be a bit more understanding with patients at hand. I was not pleased with the services that Dr Ross performed. Very kind lady but please learn to be a bit more professional and patient with people who seek your services. Dental services are not cheap, so I expect a pleasant visit each time I come not a rushed one. The ladies at the front desk check in are always kind and very pleasant. They even got me in sooner than expected due to the waitlist.

Experiencia negativa: They get a 2 due to the people who answer the phones and work check in/out. My doctor was AMAZING! Love Dr.Taylor! But the nurses are rude as anything!! You’d be better off going somewhere else and paying $100+ for an appointment.
Experiencia positiva: Not to fond of the location. Was going to take care of some other business and discovered that customer service had sent me to the wrong location. Staff was nice though and the facility was clean.
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Haley was very nice and personable. She listened to my concerns and provided solutions to ease my concerns.
Experiencia negativa: My gf is pregnant with triplets and went to the hospital. The hospital prescribed her meds to help with nausea as well as prenatal vitamins. The hospital sent her prescription to the wrong place (CVS). When both parties were reached both of them said they didnt have the prescription, which I was informed had been faxed over to the appropriate parties. After hours of calling and waiting both parties said they didn't have the prescription.

If only these major medical centers would take the time to communicate better with this center, some of us will probably be healed by now. So far, so good, literally far. I'm not close to this location at all, but it's worth the trip.

Experiencia negativa: I have small kids so it's near impossible to get a babysitter. I've made appointments on numerous occasions to try and get in and out quick but it always takes forever. Today beats it all though. I was 20 minutes late for my original appointment because the sitter was late so they had me reschedule. I get it, that's my fault. I get to the new app and go in 15 minutes early to wait over 45 mins in the car passed my app time. And another 30 in a room waiting on a doctor to just say hello. That's not even counting the actual visit and waiting on tests. I can't be here all day. I highly suggest going somewhere else if your insurance allows it!

Experiencia negativa: If I could give this facility a 0 I would. Awful service. The people there are ghetto and don’t care about you. I’ve been seeing a doctor for the past year and I’ve struggled to get him to properly refill my medicine. He makes me wait to see him before I get any refills and then cancels on me leaving me with no meds. I call the nurse and they don’t do jack diddly squat. The doctor has to wait to see me. That’s what I’m always told. It’s not a neurotic it’s for my thyroid condition. And if I don’t take this medicine I will die literally. So unprofessional they seriously do not care about you or your health. Run far away!

Experiencia fantástica: I do understand things go wrong stuff happens, I went there for 9 months with my daughter in law, we saw Dr. Murray she is awesome, I see her now she is so attentive she listens she answers question, the appt.can change but dr.s are people too they get sick, they have emergency.
Experiencia negativa: Reception never returns calls. 99% of employees are the RUDEST people I have ever met. Most doctors barely even care enough to show up. Dr. Jones in OB is the literal worst and most unprofessional person I have ever met. The whole center is extremely disorganized regarding appointments, prescriptions, and literally anything else you can think of.
Experiencia negativa: If I could give negative stars I would, after being told by Augusta University that our daughter needed to be seen by physician in 24 hours, we were told to tell them we were at the ER and they should be able to accommodate, well after calling their after hours to get something set up before they opened at 9, we called back at 9 to follow up and and being put on hold for 20 minutes to help OTHER PEOPLE FIRST, they said they had a 9am and a 10 and they just filled them, not to mention the lady was rude and basically told us they didn’t want to see our CHILD at their office, that we would have to wait until Monday for her to be seen at their partner office! Never ever would I recommend this place, find a different doctor, they don’t care what orders you were given, that the ER doctors “don’t know our schedule” very rude and I’m willing to work with a patient that needs to be seen. This is a prime example I don’t go to doctors, but when it comes to my child I will fight for whatever I have to, I hope that this office is shamed for the way they treat patients.
Experiencia negativa: At first I thought this was gonna be a good move for me but that all changed quickly. I saw Jackie Hedman (psychology) first of last week as a new patient . I told this lady NO LESS THAN 3X that I was highly allergic to a certain medication. I was put on it years ago n within a few doses I tried to kill my child and was committed because of it. This lady put me on a generic if it and I didn't find out that's what it was until after I'd had a couple dose. Thats all it takes!! I called that clinic for 3 days and left msgs 2 n 3x a day. Even had the pharmacy try n get her. Come to find out her medical assistant was out sick n no one could access her vm because they didn't have the code. That right there shows a sorry run clinic. I was in major crisis n needed to talk to the Dr. Well, today is the 8th day n she FINALLY just now called me back. She told me I was being rude because I am extremely upset.THE AUDACITY OF THIS DR. SHE SAID SHE COULD TELL I NEEDED MENTAL HELP BECAUSE I WAS UPSET!!!!! I reckon the hell I am!!! My family even tried calling to let them know what was going on and that I was in serious crisis with no response. DO NOT TRY TO GET MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES FROM THUS PLACE BECAUSE THEY DO. NOT CARE. ABOUT. THE. PATIENTS!!
Experiencia negativa: Terrible . Went Thursday and doctor never came back in to tell me what’s wrong . Had to wait in the heat till right at closing to even get my prescription . Running fever still 4 days later . And no automatic Covid results ? Really ? Will go to the ER next time .
Experiencia negativa: Last week I fell & hurt my wrist. I did x rays there, but a week later still no results. A friend urged me to go to prompt care because I am in so much pain. X ray done, results-it’s broken! Referral to orthopedic doctor given. Absolutely ridiculous that they haven’t gotten back to me. The Dr here says it’s really hard to get labs & x rays from the clyburn center. I’m definitely changing my primary care ASAP

Never in my life have I been to such unprofessional doctors office, they are never on time, have you waiting forever upfront claiming to be "busy" but hardly no cars. Nobody coming out or in. When they finally get to you they have the nerve to be rude an nasty. Not to mention calling them smh they will hang up on you if you call back they answer with an attitude then have the nerve to send you to the wrong person! Experiencia negativa: Went here to get checked out for severe to moderate pain in my right ovary that has been progressively getting worse for months now. My gynecologist was Dr Lloyd B Daniel's. He spent all of 5 minutes in there not barely talking he asked me just about 3 total questions. And most of was "does this hurt" just feeling on my stomach. And ignoring what I was telling him. He inserted his fingers in me and proceeded to press down for about two minutes with his fingers in me doing hardly anything Then said "we will keep an eye on this. Come back in two weeks" and walked out. I have been severely concerned I have an ovarian cyst and I take this kind of treatment as an assault. There was no care or concern taken. Just felt like a creepy old man touching me. This was today. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. I feel very violated. And that should never happen at these!! Not to mention my partner was there and he seemed more focused on giving him the stink eye than seeing what is going on with my ovary!!
Experiencia negativa: This is the most unorganized medical facility I have ever been to. They lost documentation twice. They dont communicate with each other which resulted in duplicate appointments for the same thing. I cant say enough about how poor the providers communication is with patient and each other. 6 months of being seen and i jave literally nothing to show for it except for being Out a couple hundred dollars and WASTED time. I will happily let everyone know how terrible this place is. I only saw dr Mitchell one time and he was an a**hole.
Experiencia negativa: Rude doctor Mitchell. Insinuated I was abusing Pain medication because I went to ER in Lexington. Didn't ask reason for visit to ER nor did he address my medication issues with cholesterol medication. Had to remind him I was suppose to have lab work. Said urine test would be included but lab knew nothing of it. Had two persons to call me prior saying I was not his patient.I Asked why did he think I was not his patient; He states someone said that I said I wanted a doctor in Lexington! What doctor does he said? Unprofessional. But then he turned it around as a mistake on mybehalf. Mitchell kept repeating I had a choice of a doctor. Okay why can't I have a choice of what hospital I go to for medical advice!! Then at the end 3 feet away he says I will see you in 3 months. For what!! To be accused of drug addiction.
Experiencia negativa: Dr. Mitchell has to be the rudest doctor I have ever met. My husband asked me to sit in on his appointment and the doctor almost refused to see him due to me being in the room. Then once he came in the room he spoke to me like and child and told me not to speak or the appointment would be over. The receptionists are rude and so are the nurses. People should not be treated this way ESPECIALLY in a doctors office when you are paid to help people in need. This center should be closed due to the lack of compassion and empathy that anyone working here has. DISGUSTING!
Experiencia negativa: If you can help it, DO NOT GO HERE PLEASE❗ The CEO prioritizes money over both patient and staff wellbeing. If you have anything worse than a common cold don't expect to recieve aid here before multiple scattered appointments of referrals and reschedules with no notification beforehand (if even then). Understaffed, overworked, no organization in the majority of departments, clueless doctors who immediately want to put you on whatever med they can excuse, rude front staff. Corners are cut to increase profit; the goal of this place is taking your money and nothing else, please don't waste your time here. I didn't check reviews before going and I regret it
Experiencia negativa: I have been going here throughout my first trimester and each time Dr. Elam has shown very little care or concern. I am high risk and have not received the attention I am suppose to be receiving. He forces medication on you that is not needed. He had me do a paps smear while pregnant and I've never did that with my other 2 pregnancies. He also never send the lab work up to the lab and I usually spend so much time waiting on him to send it. I'm not going back. It was a convenient location but horrible service.

Iv called for refills on blood pressure meds for 2 months & continue to get a run around everytime, never ever receive a call back when promised. Currently on crutches & in an immobilizing brace from a knee injury & want be seen until April 8. This is unacceptable.

Experiencia negativa: Don't bother with Dr. Jones. He refuses to follow his predecessor's treatment plan because he apparently knows better. He doesn't get to know the patient before forcing his opinion on them. We needed a referral since he would not follow the existing treatment plan and his office said no referral unless we pay him. He's not for patients, just their money.

Experiencia negativa: I was referred to Dr Elam as my Ob ! I switched quick ! To me he does not try to go above and beyond . My blood pressure was checked one time but his assistant and he immediately started with all this med he wanted to put me on instead of as a Dr change my med if you feel like that was better for me and my unborn . Then when I tired to switch the basically was trying to tell me I had to keep my appointment and try to get a referral. No ma’am how you gone tell me I have to see that Dr . I can chose which ever Dr I want ! I will never again use clyburn center in Aiken . The one in beech island is BETTER ! !

Experiencia fantástica: This is a nice facility. I’ve had great experiences with the Gyn department and ophthalmology department. The recent upgrades are super nice. I usually go to their sister clinic, Margaret J. Weston. I wish my NP from MJW practiced here because this is such a nice facility. At least the more specialty services available here are top notch.

Experiencia positiva: The staff at the Clyburn Center has truly gone down. They are always RUDE. It was three people at front desk on phones during work hours chilling a boy in middle and two girls. No one greeted me, no smiling faces or nothing just like they dont even want to be at work. After not feeling welcome they bombard you with the COVID mess. The appointment line sucks it takes forever to get an appointment. I recently had to switch primary care providers because the let the good ones go. I just wish they do a better job at who they select to handle clients. Margaret J Weston in Clearwater is a lot better than this location. I would give them 5 stars.

Experiencia negativa: This place is awful. I called for weeks to get into the OBGYN for my pregnancy. The main appointment line transfers you to a different answer which no one ever answers, nor do they call back. FINALLY got a callback after expressing my frustrations to my therapist, signing a consent form for her to talk to them and finally 7 days later an appointment was made. My first visit I was referred to a specialist, and was told to make follow up with them just in case. Well yesterday was my appointment. The nurse was incredibly rude and so was the doctor. I sent an email last week asking about the referral, no one seemed to be sure of why I didn't have an appointment in their computer. Finally someone comes in and tells me that they called the specialist THAT week, after I reminded them I guess, and next week they should call to schedule my appointment. I was disappointed in their behavioral health and adult medicine I'm the past, not sure why it returned. If you have no insurance and no where else to go, then I guess they will do. I'm sorry for wasting so much time with them and giving them a chance. Zero stars.

Please send a text message next time bc I could have just read the appointment... This was an absolute waste of my day... And waste of my insurance... Experiencia negativa: Terrible place. Saw a doctor there, gave me prescriptions and told me to go over for a blood test and schedule an appoint for 2 weeks. Next day showed up, for blood test, they had no referal. Sat around 90 minutes before they could confirm the test with the doctor. Told to schedule for end of June so they can do a follow up after 30 days medicined. I did, and when I showed they schedule for a different doctor, my original doctorw no longer worked there. I had an ear ake they looked at it gave me a prescription for the earache. They had no details of my blood work or anything not a follow up consult They did not even refer me to get a follow up blood test to see how meds were working.. I was told by the Doctor, if I need refills to give them a call. Need refills come Sept. I had 2 days of meds left. I called Tuesday to get renewals of my prescriptions, get a follow up on my blood workd get my next blood work and make an appointment. Was transfered to nurse left message, never got call back Called nex day Wed AM never got a call back. Called Wed afternoon never got a call back Thursday never received a call back Friday called and was transfered yet again to the same person who has yet to call me back all week. Left them a message. This place sucks
Experiencia negativa: I never thought a doctors office could make me feel like less of a person, but this place did. I’ve been 3 times and was turn around every time. (Only give you half the information) Money talks to them. Unless you have money in hand, THEY DO NOT CARE !! The employees are rude, always standing around doing nothing but talking, and staring at the people that see them as healers/helpers/saviors. Honestly they should shut this place down and let us stare and talk about how they have no job !!! This place is a disgrace to all health centers, nurses, doctors, and receptionist.
Experiencia negativa: Update: I called Sep 1st, someone finally called back Sep 8th. We are in a pandemic and it takes 7 days to receive a phone call!! Called this place at 8:49 due to medical emergency and needed to find out info from Dr. Transferred to Nurse Manager Shaun. Almost, two hours no callback yet. I hope someone really looks into this facility and the practices in depth. Some of the call center reps are horrible!! If these places stop hiring friends and hire people who willing to work they may be better. Then, they have the galls to be nasty and it's these type facilities you get the rudest, unprofessional staff to work with the community. Everyone isn't community abled to assist and it takes special people to work in this establishment so I hope they find some better staff soon. Stop overlooking people complaints and address the issues for a better facility.

(Fishbach) which btw is a great guy that I've got to know through the yrs. Well as of last mn he left. And no 1 informed me that I would be seeing a new dr.(Mitchell) I go in he was very rude. Not a specialist in A.D.D. so y is he my dr. And 2nd he reduced my med without telling me. My 2nd visit today I thought would be better maybe I can conecct with this new dr. NOPE. HE WAS DRILLING ME LIKE A COP! Asking is sold my med over and over if I snort my med and a bunch of rude and inappropriate questions. I got up and told him he is not the dr for me and I will no longer give my $ to a place that dont respect ur privacy and not see a Dr that I cant connect with and has no people person. What a waste of 8 yrs of schooling do be the rudest dr. In aiken. Congratulations Dr. Mitchell

Experiencia negativa: So the doctor that saw me during my visit could not stop shaking which was very odd. Needless to say the issue I went there for was not resolved. Also sent me a bill in the mail and this place is so out of date you can’t even make a payment over the phone nor online. If you can go somewhere else by all means please do. I won’t be back.
