Experiencia negativa: I went to this facility on an emergency basis due to an infected, broken and very painful tooth. I was told to return the following day to see my primary dentist Dr. Patel. When I arrived for my appointment, the front desk said I would be seeing Dr. Smith instead. The front desk insisted that I'd never been scheduled with my primary, even though I had text confirmation. Only when I asked Dr. Smith why I wasn't seeing Dr. Patel, did Danielle come into the exam room and explain Dr. Patel was busy so Danielle had changed my appointment. Dr. Smith examined me and recommended a root canal. He prescribed pain medication and an antibiotic. He wanted me to return to the clinic ASAP for further treatment. When I spoke with the front desk, the attendant told me the earliest appointment was 3 weeks away because the dentists were going on vacation and he refused to let me speak with Dr. Smith regarding the issue. When I asked to speak with the on-site Practice Manager, he not only refused to provide her name, he said he didn't know if she was even in the office today and he made no attempt to go check. He only offered to have Danielle call me later that evening. That was 5 days ago. I hadn't heard from anyone, including the Practice Manager who I left a voice message for 5 days ago. I also had questions about the accuracy of the eligibility paperwork the front desk associate processed for payment to the clinic. I would think a representative of the center would take the time to speak to me to clear up this confusion and assist me when getting better customer care than I've been provided thus far.

Experiencia fantástica: The MAT team is amazing and helpful in so many ways. Conor as the peer specialist goes above and beyond for his clients as does Martha, Bryan and even the nurse tech Gezelle (hope I spelled her name correctly) They genuinely care about the work they do and the patients they work with. I feel like they were more to me than just a treatment team. Very grateful for them all!!!

Experiencia negativa: Today I sat and watched as one of the receptionist , made a racist statement out loud about a Haitian Man and his Daughter, probably 9 or 10 yrs old,for choosing to make an appointment by phone rather then in office. Totally his choice. She said promptly after him exiting the space. I expect no less from them. Then she turns and says the same thing to her coworkers, who except 2 stayed quiet. As they should have. She had made it obvious , why she chose those words and mannerisms. So I explained to her that English was not their first language and possibly he misunderstood what she said. Either way it was unprofessional of her to say it. OUTLOUD. then she tells me she won't discuss the patient with me. So I said exactly why you should not have made the statement at all. Next her manager comes in to supposedly speak to me about what happened. She of course said she couldn't speak about the patient , then she couldn't speak about the worker either. So I said we'll why did you come in here to speak to me? She said if I saw or heard anything wrong to please let her know. So I said we'll I just tried to. Them she said she was in the waiting room and the receptionist didn't say that. She wasn't I. The waiting room . So she lied. This isn't the first time this sort of thing has occurred in this location. ITS NOT THE ENTIRE STAFF. Some of these employees should not be allowed to work with population s they don't respect. I'm am going to report this incident to every level of this Organization. I will also report it to the State,board of nursing and anyone else who is concerned with these types of issues including local organizations.

Experiencia positiva: I have mixed reviews, this place is not a bad place but any good place still could have bad eggs. The psychiatrist Lisa Sayar kicked me out of her office today during a mid-session, because she didn't agree with the symptoms I was trying to tell her about, I brought my diagnosis paperwork of my ADHD that I've had for many years, for legal documents all signed by physicians in schools, after kicking me out of her office unfairly, as I was being very polite but she did not want to hear me, I requested the paperwork that she told me to leave with her from the first visit, and she gives me back one of them. After fighting and complaining back and forth, which is something I never do because I'm very easygoing, and very polite / calm all the time, I lost it. I do apologize to the staff as I wasn't directing anything to them, Martha I still love and will still see her, Brian is is still a great guy, I have nothing against them, this was strictly lisa. Well anyway I asked for my other papers, after asking for the head of the building she and Lisa walk out, I asked for the papers and Lisa all of a sudden remembers and tells me that my other papers she considered not legible, which is insane being that those were the papers with the descriptions of my diagnosis, really in-depth about the severity, so she tells me that and I asked, so you threw them out? And she says well I'm sorry but we didn't really need them I said so you threw them out? Without my consent right? I said when is it right that you discard a patient's diagnostic paperwork without their consent? All because you think it's not legible? Or because you are trying to throw antipsychotics and ssris at me when literally none of my symptoms have anything to do with what those medications are for, not only that but a medication that's had a lawsuit against them for over a decade, so I never got my paperwork as it's probably thrown in the trash but I am definitely going to call the higher-ups and she needs to be held accountable for this. Having a psychiatrist that dismisses a patient for literally no reason at all other than her own ego, and then throwing away paperwork that is valid and personal to the patient, should be grounds for getting fired. Again sorry to the staff about my shouting today but there's no way I could let her just walk away after doing that without being held accountable

Experiencia negativa: NO STARS if I could for the unprofessional CEO's and higher positions who let go of THE BEST Manager of Asbury Park. I'd like everyone to work and run a site that helps all walks of life and people in one of the most underprivileged and deprived towns in Monmouth County. The amount of time, dedication, and commitment that this manager has brought to the table in the last 3 years has really changed the overall outcome and viewpoint of this site. Whoever is planning on taking over this site, all I can say is good luck because the site manager did an excellent job of keeping that site running, managed, staffed and worked from the bottom up to be where that site is now. So, you can really thank her for making Asbury Park what it is now. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have made this establishment my primary care facility but now I have no other option but to reconsider my options and find a different physician's office. Whoever is in charge of this decision just know that you are the most outrageous human being, inconsiderate and I hope Asbury Park rips you to shreds.

Experiencia negativa: After they moved the time of my husbands appt to meet w a pcp 3 times, he goes to his appt, he had taken a Covid test at home which was negative, since he was flu like symptoms they told him to wait outside after they took his temperature and saw he did not have a fever (where it’s 30 degrees) and wait for them to give him a Covid test. 20 min later he is told the nurse practitioner Patricia Garduno didn’t feel comfortable seeing him and he should go to urgent care?! A NURSE PRACTITIONER NOT COMFORTABLE SEEING A PATIENT W FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS…. A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL REFUSING TO SEE A PATIENT?! she also wouldn’t be available for another appointment due to taking time off for the holidays, a reason they moved his appointment time in the first place. He wasn’t even going for a sick visit but to become an established patient with a pcp. Rediculous and unprofessional.

Experiencia negativa: I have been trying to get my mother’s blood pressure medicine prescription refilled for about a month now. We went there in person multiple times, called multiple times. The pharmacy tried reaching out to them as well via phone calls and faxing. Nothing. My mother been without her medicine for a month now. This is crazy.

Experiencia fantástica: If your looking for a great GYN then they definitely have her here! Her name is doctor Raksha Joshi. She very thorough gentle and compassionate! I was skeptical at first as to doctor Gabby leaving - but she's a great doctor. You can find her at the Asbury Park office

Experiencia fantástica: We just had our first prenatal visit. From Michael at reception, to Ivan in Finance, all the nurses in between and at last Dr. Joshi - it was a 5 star day all around. Very sweet, kind and compassionate staff at this facility. I am eternally grateful especially for Dr. Joshi. Being pregnant for the first time at 44 (with my husband at 50) we were very shell shocked to discover we were going to be parents. Dr. Joshi had us laughing and crying tears of joy by the end of our visit. We feel we are in excellent hands and are excited for the adventure ahead thanks to this office visit. Thank you Dr. Joshi and staff at VNA Asbury Park!

Experiencia fantástica: This office has changed my life! I was at a horrendous pain management office before that almost killed me (literally) to this place that seems to truly have my best interest at heart. They really care and have everything from PCP, dental, chiropractor, therapy, nutritionist, and so much more. They have a text app to set appointments and they try to make everything as easy as possible for the patient. All my years of coming here I have found every staff member to be patient, caring, and honest with me. Well, except one phlebotomist that was extremely condensending, rude, and bruised me- but I believe she was filling in and I've never seen her again Honestly, from the front desk people that have to deal with all our idiocies, to the nurses, and doctors they are all truly amazing. Unless I leave the state I will continue to go to this clinic. Final note - I moved to north jersey and I still travel down to AP once a month simply because I love this office so much.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a patient at the VNA for the last 6 years and I absolutely love it. I go to the Asbury Park location, but if I need to see a doctor in a pinch there are other locations nearby for me to visit such as Keyport. I have seen quite a few different Doctors there, for primary care and also for the Suboxone program that they have which is fantastic. I personally see Dr. Martha Oates she’s amazing and truly cares about each of her patients as individuals. They also have a social worker on site, Michelle, who is also awesome, and assists with my counseling needs. There are many different resources that the VNA offers for patients to take advantage of to help with any medical/behavioral struggles.

Experiencia negativa: I went there for Covid testing in a Friday morning. Called Saturday for results and they said my results were in but not reviewed. They then said I “might get a call Monday or Tuesday” with the results. I ended up having to go to another testing site to get tested so I can actually get my results. So unprofessional. Never again.

Experiencia negativa: The Dental technician was professional kind and clean. The waiting room was not clean! registration staff was rude and impatient to answer you! The dentist played to be friendly! but not paying any attention to what you were saying! Although we can not provide ourselves private dental insurance that doesn't mean our health and time are not valuable!

I explained to the girl who answered the phone that we have no access to a computer and no way for us to do it that way. She had no heart and told me to go to the library for access to their website. Not helpful at all. They advertise that they administer the vaccine but not sure how appointments can be taken specially for the group of people who have no acres to internet at home. Very disappointing and not encouraging

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Michael Zito was awesome. He knew my lady wasn't feeling well so he expedited her covid testing (due to the fact that she is pregnant and diabetic). He was very thorough in our telemed making sure to explain everything in in case of a positive result. He also made sure to tell both of us to reach out to him with any questions at any time. I ended up having questions, I called and he got back to me within minutes. When a testing opportunity opened up he called me and said "can you and your girlfriend come now, otherwise you'll have to wait days." (Due to the high testing demand this winter.) I would recommend this place to anyone. I wish I could give it a 6th star for the simple fact that they didn't stick a q tip all the way up my nose and simply had me spit into a vial up to a line marked on the test tube. Much more comfortable than the tests I've had done in the past. High recommend and Dr Zito as well as the limited staff zi got to speak with are great.

Experiencia fantástica: I LOVE VNA in Asbury Park, NJ. The doctors, nurse-practitioners, and nurses are all so caring and supportive. This is a great place for everyone, especially ethnic/cultural minorities and of course, the LGBTQ+ community of which I am a part of. As a trans man, I feel safe here, cared for, listened to, and not afraid to be 100% myself. In fact, it is ENCOURAGED. Any trans person looking for EXCELLENT healthcare, look no further. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. The only thing they may need to work on is time management- but honestly, that’s because they are so busy. I know they’ve recently hired on more incredible staff members to keep it running like a well-oiled machine. It’s a great place also because the sheer amount of services they offer, including dental and behavioral health.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been to a lot Of Doctors at clinics Being on state insurance and gabby and also dr prince are just wonderful doctors I have yet to ever have a bad experience with either of them! Gabby makes me Feel good about myself, She is always bluntly honest with me and that’s very important from A doctor because the ones that sugar Coat things it just doesn’t have good outcomes! She’s funny too like she has a great sense of humor! Always a pleasure with gabby!

The staff was very understanding of my appointment and they took the time and effort to work with me through paperwork and set up new appointments. The doctor was very kind professional in overall amazing person. I totally recommend if you are looking for a primary care physician office and going on prep then I suggest making this your office today.

Should be updated when you call, no 24/7 support as advertised, hours not updated online, can't make appointments, wasted $15 on a lyft for no reason then had to go to urgent care, pretty essential to update your patients on when and what is actually available to avoid s*** like this from happening..... if I could give -5 stars, I would......

Experiencia fantástica: I truly love these ladies always have a smile on their face always polite and welcoming. doctor Gabby rocks funny polite nice and very caring. Normally when you go to clinics you don't experience this but at this place you do. If you need something a referral another doctor it happens quick and they take care of everything that I've always had issues with after my accident. Keep up the great work everyone.
