I live in Dubois County n we have a Digestive Care Center in Jasper but as long as I'm able Dr. Gislason will be my doctor.

Experiencia negativa: I had a total of three appointments. First, one was great. The doctor was caring, listen to the issues I had. Ordered test and explained a few things that may being going on. Unfortunately, that doctor left the office no longer working there. Second vist was going over my many test. The doctor didn't seem to care. Wouldn't go over all test. Was very talking down too. Made an appointment with someone else. Third appointment was the same. Different person same outcome. I was so hurt, shamed, emotionally raw after these appointments. Please DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Showed up an hour early as advised. Was taken back to my room shortly thereafter. Was immediately attended to, shown to a room to change, & then cleared for takeoff. Couldn't have gone any smoother. Everyone was very, very pleasant!! Voila! I'm waking up. Before know it, nurse is escorting me out in a wheel chair. It's like was barely there!

Experiencia negativa: Dr Pershad is not look like doctor his behavior is like under training nurse dr Pershad doesn’t like color peoples . He give me appointment time and send messages for different days and time, I call them than they tell me first thing is okay 2nd was by mistake ( see their responsible they are) I drive 1 hour 10 minutes and reached their office but they refused to my check up , they said you are one minute late. Appointment time was 10-45, I reached 10-45 at counter desk , receptionist lady asked me name and date of birth during these questions time turned 10-45 to 10-46 and she said you are one minute late now you make other appointment. I request her please don’t waist my time I came from other city more than hour drive but they did not listen me, she called other ladies and both have same behavior look like they like only white patients. Me and my other family members we never ever go to that place and don’t recommend that non sen bogus anti humanity peoples

Experiencia negativa: Omg I got their early hoping to get in on time and at first it seemed good however they put me in a room for almost 1 hour even though they called me back a little earlier so I waited for the doctor. They tell me that he’s is the only doctor working on a Wednesday morning I just don’t understand why one. That you would only have one doctor for the whole freaking day and it’s a busy Wednesday morning and I had to wait a hour after having my vitals taken. I understand that people get busy with other patients but to have to sit in a closed room it’s unsatisfactory to me. Finally, when the doctor gets there I’m pissed why would you treat a person like that? The doctor seems competent so I decided to do what he said because I’m not the expert.

Experiencia positiva: The staff and Drs have always been nice and professional, taking the time to answer my questions. My only frustration is with the way the practice is run as far as scheduling patients. On more than one occasion, my office visit has needed to be rescheduled because my GI specialist will not be in the office that day (which is still at least a month or more away). There is apparently a shifting around of Drs and where they need to be (clinic vs procedure center) and so when one Dr need to be moved bc of another, the ripple effect impacts the patient. I have limited availability due to working part time so when I get the call that my appointment needs to be rescheduled, it ends up being months later! This is not acceptable. Patients should not be booked further out than a Dr’s schedule which should be set at least 6 mths or more in advance. My husband is a partner in another local practice and their schedules are set at least up to a year in advance in order to minimize disruption to the clinic/surgery schedule and reduces having to reschedule patients. The Digestive Care Center can do better! They do staff nurse practitioners which gets you in sooner but when you have a GI disease, you want to see the specialist!

They helped keep her anxiety & stress levels low by answering her repeated questions and explaining everything they were doing. As a family member I really appreciated this. Experiencia fantástica: I have a long history of GI issues. Since 2010, I have seen countless local Gastroenterologist. I've been to Mayo Clinic, IU, Vanderbilt, and U of L. I've seen some of the best doctors at these highly specialized facilities, but no local doctor would help me. Then I found Dr. Pugh. He changed my life. He listens. He explains. He genuinely cares. And he's very well educated. For the first time in 13 years, I have hope, and I can't thank him and LaDonna enough for giving me that!!

Experiencia negativa: They were very nice in the office, but very disappointed by the actual care. I was only in the back room for about 10 minutes, they ran no tests and all but dismissed the issues I'm having. All they did was listen to my stomach with a stethoscope, and that was done by someone in training and my NP never listened herself. I paid my copay in the office and then was sent an additional bill in the mail, all for them telling me to just deal with my issues.

ALL staff from check in, nurses, Dr, etc treated me with smiles and caring attitudes. The phone nurses were very nice (no matter the questions I asked) as well. I hate that I saw some not so great reviews. I hope that others don’t let the negative reviews keep them from using any of the providers at Digestive Care Center.

The hallways were very thin and had issues wheeling him to the doctors office. The staff was badgering him about how to get around. It’s very frustrating that no help was offered. And the staff is socializing while he was struggling to get around. Very sickening behavior.

Experiencia negativa: My wife has been having issues for over a year and for the most part it seems like they are trying to figure it out. But she had to go back to E.R again last night do to not being able to hold anything down and her lipase was over 800 so they keeped her again and retested it this morning and it climbed to over 1000 and the NP she saw from GI said oh well and discharging her. I understand to a point that here in Evansville they only know so much. But I will be looking into what can be done with the NP and they way he treated her.

Experiencia negativa: I have never left an office so angry as I did this one. Went in for urgent care. No one told me I would be waiting more than 2hours to be seen. I ended up leaving. The staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. I am happy with Dr Snyder and Crista. Unfortunately due to the staff I will be forced to seek an alternative. It is a shame.
