My back went out and I couldn't walk for a few days. When I could walk with the support of a can I went to Dr. DeSalvo's office and he did a thorough evaluation where it was discovered that my back injury was a little more than what I thought it was. After my first appt I could actually stand straight, Within a couple appts I could walk without a cane. After a few more I could walk unassisted and much more stable. The value to Dr. Desalvo is not just the treatment but the education they offer. He and his staff are a wealth of experience and knowledge. I now go about my life in a much different manner as I'm now aware of how my back/body functions. The experience of visiting their office is very calming. It is a quiet space with many different treatment rooms and there is strong eastern influences in the decor which I appreciate. The types of treatment offered is wide ranging and your treatment will differ depending on the type of pain you are experiencing. Lastly, the quality of the office team are top notch as well. Very professional, friendly, caring and knowledgeable. When Dr. DeSalvo is not in he is supported by Dr. Toni Campbell. She is also exceptional is her care technique. Experiencia positiva: It's been some time now since I went to Dr Desalvo. My pursuit there was based on having Small Fiber Neuropathy. After months of treatment I would say you would be hard pressed to find a better Chiropractor. He is excellent with a capital E. As for the Neuropathy and the Sanexas treatments I would not recommend this procedure. I spent a lot of out off pocket and recycled through the procedure a second time and was no better than the day I started. Frankly I don't believe the procedure should be advertised as a solution. Good luck for resolution to all in pain.

Today I completed my second visit/treatment for a serious back injury, and the results are already very noticeable. I could not sleep for more than an hour because of the pain. And only after the first visit I was able to get a full 8 hours of sleep ( no medications involved ). Experiencia fantástica: Dr George Wagner's work helps keep me moving and manage my chronic neck and upper back issues from 6 car accidents. He does some upper back adjustments I've not experienced anywhere else in 25 years of receiving chiropractic care, and with my rib issues he's a godsend. He's great at extremity adjustments, keeps my knees and wrists in line so I can keep up with my physical job and favorite pastimes, swing dancing and paddleboarding. My daughter has scoliosis and she prefers Georges's work to any other practitioners we've tried, so we followed him to Dr Delsalvo's. Dr Desalvo's office is nice and conveniently located in Novato, the front desk staff is cheerful and helpful. They've got some great tech tools to help with treatment. I highly recommend the practice.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give zero stars to this business I would as I have never been treated more poorly by the front desk staff and then the doctor sticking up for bad behavior in my entire life! I was rear-ended on Monday. I am feeling symptoms of whiplash and desperately needed to see a chiropractor asap! Dr. DeSalvo came highly recommended from an attorney I used to work for. Since the initial phone call to book the appointment I was told by Jasmine that she has "no idea how any of this works" with regard to the payment portion and who would be responsible for the bill since it's been over twenty years since I have been involved in a car accident (knocking on wood). I immediately found it rather odd that a front desk person at a chiropractic office would have "no idea" at all regarding the process. Isn't that their job?? Nonetheless, I chalked it up to her being simply a receptionist. Jasmine then had Dr. DeSalvo call me to further explain the process. Dr. DeSalvo explained nothing other than to have me contact my insurance to find out if I had "med pay". He also said regardless, come in tomorrow morning at 9:00 and we will treat you. I told him I would. I later found out my policy does not have medical pay but per Dr. Salvo's suggestion I proceeded to my appointment. I took an entire hour off work this morning to get treated by this office. The second I set my foot into the office I was bombarded with "how are you going to pay for today's visit" by the callous and dismissive receptionist Alliah. I explained that I did not know the process but that one way or another I would like to get treatment due to being in pain even if it meant using my own insurance. She reluctantly proceeded to say "so this will just be a consult today since you have no idea how you are going to be paying". I bit my tongue and proceeded to fill out the lengthily new patient paperwork. Approximately twenty minutes later the doctor shows up and Alliah follows him directly into the room. I could hear her talking disparaging about me since the waiting room and the exam room are right next to each other. Alliah then came out of the room and loudly says to Jasmine the other receptionist "we better call James's office to get the real information". I finally spoke up and said said if you are trying to contact an attorney's office on my behalf you shouldn't because he's not my attorney simply someone that recommended your office to me. I told this to Jasmine the day I made the appointment. Next I met with Dr. DeSalvo. I am not going to get into details here and waste my valuable time, however I will say this. Dr. DeSalvo stuck up for poor behavior of his staff and called his staff "sweethearts". I said you may think they are sweethearts but they are RUDE and INCOMPENTENT and I have never been treated more poorly in my life by any business and proceeded to explain my entire experience from the initial call to what transpired this morning. Dr. DeSalvo never once apologized and instead made excuses of miscommunciation. Dr. DeSalvo then had the audacity to mock me when I said I am not familiar with how insurance works involving personal injury cases and liens and he laughed and said "You are a paralegal and you don't know what a lien is?" I guess the apple does not fall far from the tree. I respectfully stated that the relationship was tainted and I could not resume this abusive conversation and left. It is abundantly clear that this poorly ran office is only interested in one thing...MONEY and clearly not the care of their patients. Since arriving not one person even asked me how I was feeling again a clear indication of lack of empathy and only interested in how the bill is going to be paid. Sorry but no thanks! There are many other better fish in the chiropractic sea with competent and compassionate staff and this office certainly is not it!

Dr. DeSalvo did not disappoint. I went to his office almost completely Immobile on a Thursday, and through a series of treatments he had me back to about 80% by Saturday. And he assured me if I don't over-do it during my recovery period, I'll be back to 100% in a couple of weeks. What I liked best about him was that he did a great job of explaining to me what was happening in a way I could understand, and he constantly reassured me that I was going to be okay. Sounds simple, but there was a time during my injury that I wasn't sure what was happening, or if I was going to be okay. I've never felt pain or immobility like this in my life. I can't thank him enough, and I highly recommend his services.
