I am three years out from surgery and have maintained a 160 lb weightloss. Staff is always willing to listen to any concerns I have and that is so appreciated. I one hundred percent would recommend Dr. Lalor and staff!

Experiencia negativa: was utilizing after care mental therapy with Dr Lynette and thought i was doing better. I didn't have a session for a couple months but found myself in a bad place mentally so I set up a appointment almost a month out that fit in both the offices schedule and mine. 1 day before appointment, 1 day!, they call and say since I hadn't been there in a couple months that I wasn't welcome back because I was now considered a new patient and she isn't taking new patients. What a disappointment in health care. If you had a opening in the schedule you aren't that busy! Then you have a office girl call me because you didn't have the guts to call yourself? Waiting one day to cancel and having a opening is a true testament to the state of health care in this country. unbelievable!!!

Experiencia negativa: This review is in addition to the review of Dr. Peter Lalor that I left over two months ago (Please see photo of review left with this review.) On my two month visit, on March 7, 2024, Nurse Practitioner Laura Carder told me that she was told to talk to me because of the review I left about Dr. Peter Lalor. To make a long story short, she told me basically that I had to "accept" Dr. Lalor because they were a team and that I wouldn't be able to "come here" if I didn't. I found this behavior to be unacceptable, as a patient should NEVER have to "accept" ANY doctor's rude behvior. To make matters worse, Laura Carder had the nerve to text me the next day asking for another review, an "amended" one, no doubt. (See photo of text). I DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE RETURNING TO THIS PRACTICE! (As I am sure anyone in my shoes would feel the same). I wrote to Joe Willford, Vice President of Practice, who happens to be Dr. Peter Lalor's direct supervisor.) (Please see photo of proof of receipt from the certified letter that I sent to Mr. Willford. The date is not on the card, but according to online tracking, the letter was received on April 5, 2024 by Nancy Messenger at the front desk. This letter had been mailed out the day before.) I wrote Mr. Willford two weeks ago (Please see photo of letter). To this date, Mr. Willford has NOT responded to this letter. It seems apparent to me that the administration of Wood County Hospital is NOT CONCERNED with the treatment of its patients, even though the patients are the people that help them pay their bills. My advice to the general public is this: STEER CLEAR OF THE CENTER FOR WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY!! There are better options in the Toledo area that will respect you as a person and patient. My experience has been subpar with this surgeon, the nurse practioner and the Wood County Hospital administration. I will personally NEVER return here, even though I should have rightfully expected to get my six month and subsequent yearly visits here. It's simply not worth it. Do yourselves a favor and find physicianswho actually care. Janice Gilbert

They have made me feel so well taken care of from the very beginning and answered any and all questions. From the seminar to my hospital stay and now a year Post Op, has been amazing. They have taken excellent care of me starting 13 years ago and I am still over 100 pounds down after 13 years and they are encouragers to their patients and I have had surgery there other than my weight loss and I had excellent care by them in the hospital. I would recommend that anybody that’s having anything like that that’s the team to go to, thank you Dr., Lalor and your center for weight loss and your whole team, it is the best!

I had my surgery yesterday and everything went textbook, they even found I had a hiatal hernia and repaired that while I was under. They have also been great with checking in while I am in the hospital to make sure I'm doing good and didn't need anything or have any questions. They made me feel comfortable and happy during my stay, and they listened to every concern or question I had. I’m extremely grateful for my medsurg nurses and patient care techs for everything they do. Dr. Lalhor and his staff are absolute gems! I really recommend his bariatric weightloss program to anyone looking at surgical routes for weightloss loss. Marsha and Ginger are incredibly caring and treated me with upmost support and respect and taught me how to adapt to this new lifestyle. Even the receptionists at Lahlors office are super helpful! Being that it is a weight loss program I thought i would be looked at and treated like the rest of the world treated me being overweight but that was so very far from the truth. I knew it would take a while for me because of my relationship with food and I told them that. I was extremely disappointed but hopefully they allow me when I come back in several months and start process all over. Other than the disappointment the process was a learning experience and helped me to be a healthier person. The staff was very nice and answered all my questions. The doctor was extremely knowledgeable and also answered all my questions.

Do everything as instructed and any problems will be drastically minimized. As with any surgery there are possible risks, but obesity is a guaranteed risk!!
