Experiencia negativa: My mom came for bad abdominal pain-and dr wanted to give surgery on a hernia that had nothing to do with the reason she came there for-thank you for the reviews -that helped me to take her out asap

Experiencia negativa: This is a horrible place to come to if you are in extreme need of assistance….. I would t send my sick animal to this hospital…. All the nurses and doctors do is sit at the desk and have loud non work related conversations… every time I have came here I left before I could be seen. Due to the outrageous time they have Yu waiting just to be triaged.

Experiencia negativa: This place is horrible first first, let me start off with the emergency room. I entertain emergency room by ambulance at 9 PM. When I arrived, I was triaged and sat in the waiting room while in the waiting room. There was only me and 3 other guess. I set there from 9 PM til 10 AM the next morning before it even gettin the bed in the back of the emergency room. Mind you the nurses in the emergency room were very rude when asked questions about why was the wait so long? After I was taken upstairs Where I was admitted for days only to be told. One thing was wrong but discharged on a whole norher . I watched nurses. Be mean to to patience patience that were unable. To take care of themselves. I only encountered. 2 nurses on the 4th floor that was nice.I did not the rest well here Because they mix mental patients with with Regular patients. This place is horrible. I could go on for days. Never go there even if that's the only place to go. You will die there.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible! My grandmother arrived there happy and in good shape. All she needed was dialysis until the machine at he got set up for her. We were going to pick her in a few hours. When we got there, we found out she passed. She was just fine a hour prior! We found out she was never seen by the doctor. No doctor was even in the building. The nurse lied to us! This law suit will shut them down!

Experiencia negativa: This is the absolute worst hospital. My father has dementia and it’s progressing and when me and my sister went to see him today he was tied to the bed like an animal. The restraints was so tight his hand was swollen. When we complained about it the nurse went to the nurses station and started talking about us and we heard everything.

My mother died under her care . The wrong cause of death was put on the death certificate Needs to be some community action. Doctor walker never even fully examined my mother even in the emergency room

I didn't authorize a code just for any decent human or even a loving family member to be able to check up on the wellbeing of my mother...im pretty sure thats a hostage situation. Black ran facilities cant run a decent facilities without white people the incompetence is serious. Never did hear my mother voice all I wanted was 1 to 2 minutes

They not use to having patients they use to hanging in a group doing nothing. The triage nurse didn’t answer the emergency button. Whoever answers the phone in the morning for the emergency room have no business answering phones. You can just tell they hire people of the street for this deserted hospital. This aint nothing but a Jackson Park Hospital Jr. but they are worse than them .

Experiencia fantástica: Jewel in the area without a doubt. Exceptionally expert and freindy staff and specialists. Food was hot and healthty with a home touch. Sourh Shore is doing things accurately, I absolutely felt really focused on, thank you South Shore I required your clinical benefits and im feeling good.

Experiencia negativa: Was there last night or shall I say early this morning. Incompetence at it's finest. The intake nurse was great, but after her it was downhill. Took my disabled brother in for vomiting blood. They did a blood work but it took forever and dismissed my complaint. I am his legal guardian and they kept him from me after I went to waiting room. They get one star for the intake person. Never again. I had a horrible experience.

I will be contacting the nursing board to report her. How can you be rude working in healthcare and caring for someone’s family member.

Experiencia positiva: my mother came here for her COVID vaccine, very easy and fast to book the appointment. However, upon arrival the lady at the desk was very rude, and not helpful. The email she received asked for ID and insurance but while there they asked for social security card which I found odd since it didn’t state that in the email. The nurse that gave her the shot was great. Took about 30 minutes in total.

Experiencia negativa: Waited 24 hours to see a doctor. Still no plan of treatment. Room hasn't been cleaned (sheets changed, bathroom cleaned) for two days. No communication They just have you sit staring at the wall.

Experiencia positiva: South Shore Hospital gets a bum-rap because they are an under-funded hospital. They have great doctors. If they had access to the same money as Northwestern or University of Chicago, their rating would be much higher. Their care is as good as the care that I have received at Northwestern, on one occasion better. Their only real issue...is funding.

My mother is in clear pain (literally screaming)and the doctor is sitting there with his feet kicked up on the desk. They didn't even know who she was. They had her registered under some random social security number. They we're more concerned about getting her billed than her actual health. I'll call an Uber or Lyft for my mother to take her to a real hospital before she ever goes back there. Absolutely horrible. I guess this is where they stick the degenerate nurses and doctors.

Experiencia negativa: I wasn’t even a patient and I was disgusted at how this hospital looked from the waiting room, so imagine the actual rooms. There was ants , spiders and dirt all in the waiting room. Rude staff in the handling of a gentleman. I will never come to this hospital nor will I bring my son ... even though this is the closet hospital to us. The health department really needs to look into this hospital. I saw no hand sanitizers anywhere, which is upsetting because everything I touched I wanted to sanitize off me.
