Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Matthew Griffith performed a total shoulder replacement for me two weeks ago, following about 3 years of cortisone shots. I think he is amazing because he is not only an expert at what he does, but he is kind, thoughtful, and listens and converses respectfully! I am 81 and healing well.

Experiencia negativa: A couple years ago I had right knee replacement and lately it’s been hurting badly. I just called to make an appointment for a follow up and the receptionist refused to schedule me an appointment because I had a balance owed! Wow!!! Talk about a money driven establishment. Don’t go here if you are struggling financially! They won’t help you and they’ll obviously leave you in pain!!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Griffith has been absolutely amazing. After 3 dr’s misdiagnosed our son, Dr. Griffith listened to our concerns. Ordered the appropriate tests and figured out what was going on. One month later my son is on the road to recovery and it’s all because of Dr. Griffith!

I go to PT three times a week, and she and the therapy staff at Arthritis and Sports work as a team to help me complete the various exercises and therapy required after my total knee replacement. I am thankful to have them involved with my recovery.

Experiencia fantástica: Just completed 6 weeks of physical therapy at Arthritis and Sports and it was a great experience. My therapist, Eleni Russow, did an excellent job of evaluating my knee progress and prescribing exercises to strengthen my new knee, improve balance and flexibility. Will have my other knee replaced next year and will rely on Eleni to help me once again with my therapy.

Experiencia fantástica: I was really pleased with the physical therapy treatments I received at Arthritis & Sports for my 2nd knee replacement. Although it was a 3 times farther drive from my home than my last PT provider it was substantially better and well worth the extra drive. It was a very professional staff.

Experiencia fantástica: Got my third of three injections in my knees. No more pain! I always feel welcome when I walk in the door for my appointments. I am always comfortable and relaxed for the injections and there is no pain. The injections help but always best after the third consecutive weekly injection. I don't feel pain for six months before it is time to begin again.

Experiencia fantástica: Have mainly worked with PA's and Technicians and they are very good. Easy to understand and their explanations provide great feedback as a path for recovery unfolds. I'll continue going to A&S.

Experiencia negativa: I want to start by stating I am a black male, retired military and i have Medicare and Tri Care as my primary payment methods. I had an appointment 10/21/2024 and I arrived 20 minutes early. There were 15 to 20 people in the waiting room, all the patients were called and I was the only person remaining, ten more people arrived and five were seen before I asked if I had been missed and my records were still hanging on the reception wall. After an hour I left as I don’t want to have a doctor perform surgery on me if they don’t want to see you as a patient or human being. Be careful about selecting this hospital and this doctor.

Experiencia fantástica: After feeling my activities slowly slipping away due to hip and knee arthritis, I feel like a new person after having gotten knee and hip replacement by DrPeyton over the last two years. The physician assistants have always been helpful, and answered my questions clearly. And the office staff are always helpful in person or on phone, and I’ve rarely had to wait more than 5 minutes or so for my appointment.

Experiencia fantástica: After some 30 years of P.T. I can honestly say that the woman who evaluated me as a new patient was thorough, intelligent, compassionate, and empathetic.

Experiencia negativa: Dr Griffith, a great doctor. Listens to understand and makes you feel comfortable during the visit so I said goodbye to this facility...Nope not because of him he is great and probably thinking I will be back for the treatment he recommended but because of the supervisor lady at the front desk...yeah the one on the phone in the corner. She straight up refused to run my insurance for PRP treatment. I told her that I had spoken to my insurance and they said they will cover it but she said nope its our policy that we want money out of pocket and we wont even try to contact your insurance for pre authorization or anything. I told her that Dr Griffith wants you to run and schedule me and she said the doctors dont know. I just shook my head thinking that these doctors are paying for you to run the insurance so that they can get paid but here you are refusing to do just that and telling me that doctors dont know. I canceled everything and filled out a form to obtain my records to go elsewhere. Now its not her loss because she is still getting paid...my question is What for?

Experiencia positiva: Went there to have shoulder surgery and carpel tunnel surgery on right hand and shoulder. I weight 120 pounds and before my surgery they fitted me with a sling that I paid 90 bucks for. The 9 days after surgery I was in pain and could not get comfortable no matter how much I adjust my sling. When I went for my follow up apt I saw A PA who I never meet before who really couldn’t tell me anything other than they repaired what was torn. I ask how my hand was and the reply was it’s been fixed. When I ask how bad it was she couldn’t tell me because it was not in the notes. When we talked about how bad my sling was bothering me and that my arm hurt she said a tech would take a look. Come to find out they put me in a med sling but then told me that they could fit me for a small but would have to charge me for another sling.the one thing that they could tell me for sure was that I had a balance of 96 bucks that needed to be paid .

Experiencia negativa: This a 00, not even for an appointment. I just talked to lady name Chris on the phone to ask specifically what insurance they take, and if they take Medicaid she said NO WE DONT TAKE THAT (like she was a RICH PERSON & I was a POOR PERSON asking HER for a DOLLAR) her tone was like how dare you ask me that question. I asked if they take Medicare and she said we don't take anything like that. Her whole tone attitude was so disrespectful.

Experiencia fantástica: They are awesome! I Saw Dr. Payton for knee pain and did several weeks of PT. The pain improved b/c they pinpointed the weaknesses in the muscles that were the culprits. Thank you Diane and Caroline!! Now that I know where to tweak my exercise routine, I can continue to improve. I have to add that I’d visited a different orthopedic group and their PT center about 2 years ago and they basically wrote me off and said it was arthritis and should get cortisone shots. No thanks. But a BIG thank you to Arthritis & Sports Center. I highly recommend this practice.

I had Caroline today; she always listens carefully to what I am saying and is skilled in working on my body to correct issues as they occur. My recovery from a total knee replacement is on a fast track because of the care received by Caroline, Devon and the techs.

I "get" that sometimes a patient before me may take longer than anticipated - but Arthritis & Sports is SPOT ON with getting me in and out in a timely manner. The tech took a careful look at my problem and recommended a course of action. He explained everything and showed me on the X-ray where the problem was. When I met with Dr Matthew G Griffith he reviewed my test results with me. I was extremely upset to learn that the Total Reconstruction surgery I underwent had failed. In addition, if I did not get the Total Shoulder Replacement surgery, I could very well have lost the use of my arm and my hand. I was so relieved to have found Dr Matthew Griffith and he handled my case extremely well given the circumstances I was faced with. I would highly recommend this practice. The entire team worked together to afford me an opportunity for a normal life. Thank you.

My other doctor recommended I see him so I could get his medical advice and be assessed in light of my most recent hip MRI. I felt comfortable and confident when he offered me his opinion after our first consultation. My decision to have hip surgery was made without hesitation. Dr. Goodwin outlined his treatment plan and gave me a thorough explanation of what to expect both before and after surgery. He gave me confidence that everything would go well the day of my surgery and till during my recuperation. He would describe to me what to expect from my procedure. In light of the fact that, before to meeting him, I had experienced a great deal of agonizing anguish brought on by extraordinary circumstances. Dr. Goodwin calls to address any medical concerns I may have and reassures me that it is all part of the healing process. I am grateful for all of his efforts in creating a personalized treatment plan. I'm currently in my twelfth week following surgery, and I continue to work with my PT under his direction. I will always be appreciative of your wonderful care, Dr. Goodwin, and I am excited for the next phase of my life. I am grateful that you are a part of my medical journey! Experiencia fantástica: At Arthritis & Sports, the staff, Doctors and Physician Assistants (PA) all are kind, courteous and professional. I had a total knee replacement done. Dr. Peyton was my surgeon and one of his PAs, Lisa, took such great care of me. They make sure you understand the procedure they are about to perform, and that you're feeling OK at every stage. They take care of everything and ensure you're armed with all the education on your procedure so there are no surprises. I'm ok with only seeing my surgeon at the initial visit and then again just before the surgery. I didn't feel slighted or that I was given any lesser quality service/advice from the PAs. I'd highly recommend these professionals for your Orthopedic and surgery needs!

Also want to thank (1) Megan, the technician who is very attentive and helpful and (2) the front desk along with others who make my therapy a success. Experiencia positiva: The PT experience here was great with Hannah (Meg was also awesome). My experience took a hit when I was notified I owed hundreds of dollars. I provided my insurance info day 1 and asked about my expected cost per visit. I paid what I was told each visit before a month later they said I was supposed to be paying more - over 3x more. I appreciate the care I received but seriously? I explained it was somewhat misleading being verbally told and paying the initially discussed amount before being hit with hundreds in bills. Lady at the front desk didn't budge at all despite admitting their mistake. After paying the outstanding amount, I cancelled treatment. Just had to pay a final bill from them which reminded me to write this review edit to respond to the reply: I've sent two emails and have not gotten any response

Experiencia fantástica: I can't overstate how grateful I am for the care and attention that my mom received at the Center - particularly from Leigh and Dr. Underwood. Sensing the urgency of my mom's pain, Leigh went above and beyond to help get her into the Center to receive care. She identified and addressed potential administrative/insurance roadblocks upfront and made it possible for my mom to quickly see Dr. Underwood - who was also incredibly professional and understanding. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Center to anyone seeking relief from their arthritic/orthopaedic pain.

Experiencia negativa: ⚠️ BLUF: Patient's medical insurance is charged for a Tier 4 visit (nearly $400) without issuing a single imaging order nor prescription from this practice for a chronically, unhealed foot injury that even a kindergartener with 20/20 vision can diagnose as "inflammation." Dr. Randall Peyton, the practice founder, needs to have a serious "come to Jesus moment" with his lone foot doctor on his team, Dr. Sabina Malhotra. Concurring with previous reviewers, this Millennial physician is a very bright young lady but is arrogant AF with the bedside manners of NFL "star" Aaron Rodgers ⚠️ Being a practitioner working with people patients (dogs and cats paws patients maybe) is clearly not her calling. She has poor active listening skills, talks down to patients, and appears to carry herself inappropriately like a total nerdy Daddy's girl who only wants to get her way or the highway regarding patients having any input in their own health needs, treatment, and care. Friendly reminder ️ it's state medically unethical, if potentially criminally fraudulent, to charge federally guaranteed medical insurance plans (e.g. Medicare) for "meet and greet"-style bait and switch office visits when this is just a "basic" speciality, not a concierge practice.

Experiencia fantástica: My leg muscles serous hurt after the other side total hip surgery, the therapist ms Devon massaged ease my pain and taught me how to exercise. I felt I got improvement next day. I definitely come back to do more physical therapy for my health and daily activities Thank you Arthritis and sports.

He is honest and friendly with you about your particular situation medically and how you can best improve your quality of life. I received my second round of cortisone injections and he was so gentle, quick and efficient that I didn’t even move. This concept of treating you as a person and not just another client extends to the front desk staff! They are always welcoming, kind and bubbly! They remember small details like the names of my children and always want to know how I’m recovering from my surgeries. You can truly tell that this practice is sincere in their commitment to you as a unique person. Highly recommended!!!!

Have worked with my schedule. They are always on time. The PT assistants are friendly, plus knowledgeable in their practices with the patients. Since then , my 84 yr old Mom got hers done, 6 years ago and now I am also getting checked out for my own knee issues. The staff has been consistently extremely efficient, professional and very pleasant. Dr. Peyton is wonderful, kind and a master of his craft and we would not imagine going anywhere else for such major life changing surgery. Thanks to him, the quality of our lives has had immense improvement, we feel very fortunate to have found him and this practice.

Experiencia fantástica: This was my first experience. I visited the Dr for my swollen ankle. The wait time was very minimal. The assistant took care of the X-ray and other formalities. After analysis it turned out to be minor fracture in my ankle. Dr. recommended wearing clinical shoes which helped to expedite recovery. Overall experience has been great and I would highly recommend.
