Nutrition Counseling
I’m a registered dietitian nutritionist specializing in reproductive nutrition. I support people that are who are trying to conceive. I can guide you in optimizing your nutrition from preconception through post-partum. For the past 20 years I have been helping people manage PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) from adolescence through menopause.
I use a weight inclusive, non-diet approach to help my patients improve their relationship with food, health, and body image in my practice. Your care will be personalized and I will coordinate with your health care team.
We will connect on the phone or email. There is no cost to get acquainted. I’ll ask a few questions, outline the services and costs. You’ll learn about my approach and the positive outcomes I can help you achieve.
Payment is due at the conclusion of each session. I accept Mastercard, Visa, and Discover cards including health savings (HSA) and flexible spending (FSA) debit cards.
Judy Simon MS, RDN, CD, CHES, FAND specializes in nutrition counseling for individuals, couples and families. Judy provides evidence-based nutrition counseling in reproductive nutrition (fertility), PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome) and eating disorders. She is recognized nationally as an expert in nutrition and fertility.
Judy offers her clients the unique experience of a weight inclusive non-diet approach to healthy eating. Many of her clients have tried traditional diets and programs and failed. Instead, Judy combines her expertise in nutrition and coaches her clients to success, overcome eating disorders and master self-management of their health.
Judy’s professional contributions garner national attention from the nutrition and fertility fields. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics awarded Judy the Excellence in Practice in Women’s Health in 2014 and the Community Practice Award for Excellence, Washington Academy Nutrition Dietetics 2017.
Additionally, in coordination with Dr. Angela Thyer, Judy developed the Food for Fertility Program (TM) in 2011. Judy presented the outcomes of the Food for Fertility program at the American Society Reproductive Medicine (2013) and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society Annual Scientific Meeting (2015).
Judy served as the President of the Seattle Tacoma Reproductive Society (2014-2015), past-chair of the Nutrition sub-interest group of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and continues on as mentor coordinator of the Women’s Health Dietetic Practice Group.
Food for Fertility offers women a virtual cooking class to optimize their fertility health and prepare for pregnancy. The series is led by Judy Simon and reproductive endocrinologist, Angela Thyer MD. Both of us will be cooking with you from our home kitchens. You will receive recipes in advance of the Saturday classes. Each session will focus on different areas of nutrition and lifestyle.

Mind Body Nutrition, PLLC: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Judy is one of the most caring and wonderful humans you can hope to meet on any journey to motherhood - whether it be infertility or pregnancy. I can honestly say she not only helped me, but I attribute my incredibly healthy twin pregnancy and the resulting healthy weights of our twins at birth to the nutritional advice she gave throughout. She continued to check in post birth as well and I am so grateful to have had her as an integral part of our support team. Thanks Judy!
Fantastic experience: Judy is kind and compassionate. She takes the time to listen to your whole story. I have always been a little embarrassed about being a "picky eater," but Judy not only made me feel like it wasn't a big deal she listened to what I liked to eat and helped me find new things to try that weren't outside my comfort zone. The small changes added up. When I got pregnant she helped me a lot. Dealing with gestational diabetes was a challenge especially when all I got from pregnancy was food aversions to meat. Judy met that challenge while making me feel like I was doing a good job. She never rejected a food without a good reason to (like impacting blood sugars) unlike the nutrition counselors I was working with at the clinic. Judy is knowledgeable and I have loved working with her.
Fantastic experience: Judy is great! very knowledgeable, compassionate, empathetic, just a great partner to walk along side you during your infertility journey. I highly recommend Judy's services while trying to conceive and beyond.
Fantastic experience: Judy is the best of the best, her resume and credentials and impressive and document her skill. She’s not only a nutritionist, but an educator and national speaker in the topic of reproductive nutrition. What this means to you? She knows her stuff! Her partnership with the leading reproductive medicine group in the Seattle metro area proves it. Her caring, compassionate approach to real life nutrition planning leads to patient success outcomes and goal achievement. Judy’s approach will prepare you to tackle food in the real world, not an idealistic one. Intuitive eating, mindfulness, whole foods, and strategies for living life are all included in her approach. Judy’s nutritional and lifestyle coaching helped me reach personal health goals, led to a successful conception while facing infertility, supported me through a healthy pregnancy, and brought me through nursing, new motherhood and feeding a medically fragile child with an pediatric feeding disorder. She is truly a resource everyone should have. She is kind, compassionate, and pours all she is into what she does.
Fantastic experience: Judy was kind and supportive on my infertility journey. Her Food For Fertility course is fun and very educational. She always responded quickly to my questions. When I met with her, she didn't bill insurance but she did provide the necessary form for me to bill my insurance directly. Very helpful!
Fantastic experience: Judy helped me SO much when I was trying to get pregnant--and really just around food and eating in general. She's thoughtful, kind, and warm.
Fantastic experience: Working with Judy has helped me develop healthier habits that helped me have a healthy pregnancy! I miss working with Judy and I highly recommend her! She is very knowledgeable and grounds her advice on research!
Fantastic experience: Judy is amazing. She helped us change a few things to give us a better chance of having a child and she is always there to answer any question I have!
Fantastic experience: She is the best. She was very supportive and educated me a lot about good nutrition during my infertility journey. Her food for fertility classes helped me a lot to maintain a healthy diet. I miss seeing her.
Fantastic experience: I have worked with Judy on and off for years. She has helped me with my eating disorder, helped me manage my type 2 diabetes and even helped me get pregnant with my son. I have always felt important in her presence. She’s great at helping me figure out what works best for MY life. I have been to other dietitians in the past where it feels very “clinical” and like I am just another number. Not Judy. She has a genuine caring disposition. She even came to see me and my son in the hospital after he was born. Judy feels like a caring and knowledgeable aunt that I can always turn to. I never feel judged. She has a very disarming presence. You won’t regret reaching out to her. A part from that, Judy is always growing her knowledge of nutrition. She is asked to speak at conventions about fertility nutrition, diabetes etc. etc. She has been in books, articles and even on the news. She works closely with top fertility doctors in the greater Seattle area so she is at the front of cutting edge technology, studies and information about nutrition and how it pertains to fertility. She is also a certified diabetes educator. This lady knows her stuff. She is simply a rock star.
Fantastic experience: Judy has been an ally, a friend, a cheerleader, a confidant and a partner. She walked along side me as I battled infertility teaching me foods and changes to help the treatment process and help me become a healthier person…mind and body. She is kind, grace filled and realistic. She can help you move to organic Whole Foods as well as give you a few realistic shortcuts for busy days or drive thru moments that become necessary. I learned a lot about nutrition, giving myself grace, and feeding my family. As I became a mom she helped my navigate feeding a very picky eater child and is always there cheering on her patients. I still turn to her when I need advice and help for myself or my children.
Negative experience: Save your money. Judy is not responsive or friendly. You can find better services elsewhere.
