Negative experience: Have been met with nothing but excuses from the owner and management of this clinic. Speech therapy services WERE great, until there was excuses not to continue. Clinic refused occupational therapy services after paying for and them performing an evaluation, making the excuse "We don't have the proper equipment" when a similar competing pediatric therapy clinic provided services without any additional special equipment or problems, or excuses. Paid for a feeding therapy evaluation, spent 2 years on the waitlist for feeding therapy and surprise--more excuses! "Shine Therapy is the best fit for you for Feeding Therapy", took 2 years of waiting after spending money on an evaluation to reach that conclusion, huh? Unprofessional, waste of time and money. Don't go here.

Fantastic experience: Shine therapy is light during this pandemic. Our son went to their Cardboard Creation groups. He was reluctant to be in a group setting after a year of remote learning. Shine showed kids that their safety is a top priority. Shine therapists explained they weren’t wearing masks because they are vaccinated. Every week, a staff member did Covid-19 screening. Staff wore stickers about receiving the vaccine. He loved working with the therapy dogs. Coaching and support from the therapists empowered his confidence to soar. He was so proud of his weekly craft project. It is fantastic to have access to top-notch services during these challenging times for kiddos.

Fantastic experience: My daughter received services from Shine through Early Intervention. Her speech and feeding therapist Amy Beck was and is past phenomenal. She is so patient and is always looking for new ways to do things to reach each child. She was a huge encouragement to our family as we struggled with things others take for granted. As she heard or learned about new techniques she would immediately try them and we were able to progress so much due to her diligence and encouragement. We highly recommend Shine and Amy Beck

Fantastic experience: When our sweet Wally got diagnosed with Barth Syndrome and we realized he was going to need a little help, I was nervous not knowing what to expect. But Wally’s physical therapist Monica and his feeding therapist Sara from Shine therapy are a god send! They truly care about Wally and do everything they can to see him exceed! We now consider them a part of our family!! One of the best things we’ve ever done was choose Shine therapy to help our sweet Wally! Thank you, thank you!

Fantastic experience: Due to my daughter's challenges, she has seen multiple therapists in her lifetime. I have been nothing but impressed with each of the therapists she has worked with at Shine. They take the time to really listen to a parent's concerns and work so gently with small children. And the progress my daughter has made has been remarkable!

Kristin has made huge gains with our child during feeding therapy. Sarah has been a great communicator and helped us get our services started as soon as possible. Fantastic experience: Sarah at Shine is amazing! I initially reached out to her about speech concerns I had for my 15 month old. And while most professionals told me that he’s a boy and he would grow out of it, she was very receptive and gave me all the various resources available in the area. When we met for the evaluation, she not only made me feel very comfortable, but she connected with my son as well. She engaged him for the hour long session and was able to help me understand how and why speech therapy would be beneficial for everyone. I recommend Shine to everyone!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough wonderful things about Shine Therapy Services! I am so appreciative and grateful for each and everyone in their office. My daughter with Childhood Apraxia of Speech went from being practically unintelligible to now most everyone understanding her. Because of Shine, my kids have never been nervous, discouraged, or insecure about their speech or OT needs. They truly care about each and every kiddo! Lisa in the office is so caring and helpful. She quickly became my sons "girlfriend" and my friend as we spent 2 hours most Thursdays in the office. Sarah Ziemba is the definition of someone who is made for her profession. She tailors therapy to each kiddo and truly enjoys working with them. Kristy provides OT for my daughter. I love waiting in the office and hear my daughter's giggles the entire hour of OT. And Heather has become another blessing to our family over the last year as my son is now in speech as well. This office has blessed our family beyond measure - they have become part of our family and story! Thank you Shine!!!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Sarah and Shine Therapy Services to anyone looking for speech or other therapy in Central Illinois. Sarah truly changed our lives by teaching our little guy to express himself; even more so, she gave us resources to continue working with him on our own. She is patient, kind and provided us with speech therapy that met our son's needs perfectly. Sarah was able to engage him in thoughtful play in which he didn't even realize he was practicing his sounds. We looked forward to our weekly sessions and learned so much each time.
