Fantastic experience: Working with Heather has been a great experience so far. I'd spent weeks trying to find a responsive, qualified dietician locally without any luck. I was originally concerned that working remote through Zoom would be an awkward or impersonal but I was wrong. Heather was extremely attentive by listening to where I was at, understanding what I was trying to accomplish, and offering some great first steps and alternate food suggestions. After our first hour session I was confidently able to make some minor changes to my nutrition plan, and this first month has already paid off for me. I intend to continue follow-up sessions with Heather as I continue on my journey.

Fantastic experience: When I first made the decision to take control of my diabetes, and eliminate my insulin, I decided to seek help from a nutritionist. Purely by luck I found HMD and spoke to Heather. She immediately set my mind at ease and told me my goal to get off of insulin and lose the weight gained because of it. That was 2/21 and to date I have lost roughly 25 pounds but more important I am no longer on my day insulin, my cholesterol medication and night time insulin have been cut in half. Heather’s encouragement, helpful suggestions and willingness to guide me in the right direction made my goal a reality. She is the best and I highly recommend her for those who are willing to get control of their body.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Heather at HMD Nutrition. I was looking for someone to help me reduce my blood sugar through better nutrition. She came through with flying colors. She provided me with specific brands of foods , menus, more information about reading nutrition labels and how to make the best choices when eating out. She's friendly, helpful and amazing. Her website is easy to navigate. Our sessions were on zoom. Heather was always prepared and on time. She helped me reduce my blood sugar in 3 months to a significantly lower level which will hopefully allow me to reduce my medicine. Heather is great ! I love HMD Nutrition.

Fantastic experience: First off, I have never left 2 reviews on a site before or given consecutive ratings of 5 stars. I've been working with Heather since October 2019 and I've never felt, slept or had this much energy. When starting out with Heather my initial goal was to loose 13-14 pounds. Through her guidance and teaching, I was able to achieve this by December. I was also able to significantly reduce or eliminate some of my routine medications like cholesterol or acid reflux. So happy! However, I didn't feel like I had achieved all I could so Heather helped me start a workout plan utilizing weights. I'm excited to see what 2020 has in store for me. Thank you, Heather!

Fantastic experience: In late 2017 I was diagnosed with Crohn's. Due to an infection, I had a partial colon resection done. A week after surgery I researched RD's and noticed Heather was the one. Upon my initial visit with her, I thought my life was over; she told me to pretty much eliminate all the tasty foods such as refined carbs (gluten), dairy, sugar, etc. Heather went into full depth on how to control my inflammation through diet. This was more the beginning of a new lifestyle change for the better. She answered all my questions and also provided me with medical grade type probiotics for a low cost. After a year of following her program, my follow up colonoscopy/cat scan visit with Mayo clinic's Dr. Malik showed no signs of active Crohn's. That appointment with Heather was the best money I've ever spent in the 42 years of my existence. She saved my life!! Like she said, we as humans eat to live and not live to eat. Heather has changed my life tremendously, and my decision on hiring her was paramount.
