Negative experience: While we like the doctor and nurses their wait times once you go into the room are ridiculous. Over 45 min to be seen everytime we have an appt with the kids. There was no one in the lobby waiting either.....Might start looking to go somewhere else.

Negative experience: Running late My appointment supposed to be at 8:45am, arrived T 8:30 am and waited for 45 minutes

Negative experience: No transparency. In business hours, pricing, or services offered.

Positive experience: We come here for my toddler to get OT and speech therapy, even doe his therapists are great and super nice the desk people are so rude and ignorant they give you dirty looks. I have a 2 month old baby that was crying tell me why the front desk man with orange hair and all the other people were giving me some ugly looks like they never heard a baby (latino) cry before, I was so close to saying something. You could feel the discrimination and racism as soon as you walk in... They made me feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome. I would have gave them 0 stars but like I said the therapist are great...
Positive experience: I want to echo others’ concerns about the appointment scheduling process. I attempted to call ahead to inform the office that I was running 15 minutes late, but it took six calls to get through. One call dropped, another had audio issues, and I was repeatedly transferred—first to a call center, then incorrectly to the hospital, and finally to the patient portal team instead of the front desk. The inefficiency and lack of attentiveness made a simple request unnecessarily frustrating. For a company of Loyola size, this level of service is unacceptable. Please improve staffing, retain your front desk staff, and streamline communication to enhance the patient experience.
Negative experience: I have to fight just to get tests done. Or get checked because I know my body better than anyone and if I feel something is wrong a doctor should listen! Also, asked for certain tests but because they would need prior authorization the doctor doesn’t want to do that. Like their job is too much!!! Do not recommend this place

Fantastic experience: Everything was good.
Thank you for your feedback. Patient care is our top priority, and we do all that we can to provide the very best experience.
Negative experience: Loyola Medicine thought it was appropriate to send me a $1000+ invoice for my free checkup I got in 2020. Its currently 2024. I'm irritated that I have to waste minutes and potentially hours of my life dealing with such idiots. Beware of Loyola Medicine. You have a free in network check up in 2024 and they probably will send a large bill to you in 2028
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Our patients are important to us and we encourage them to reach out to our billing department to discuss any issues or concerns. Please contact us at 708-216-5140.
Fantastic experience: Dr. British and Lanita Amazing team everyone extremely professional friendly what a great hard-working team!!!!! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Nair has been my family's pediatrician for over decades. She's fantastic. We have moved out of state and will travel wherever she goes.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Nair is one of the best Pediatricians I have ever met. She is extremely compassionate with children and explain everything to parents. Dr. Nair always gets her diagnosis right the first time! My children are always excited to see Dr. Nair!

Fantastic experience: Average

Negative experience: The customer service is very terrible very rude very mean
Feedback is important to us because we are always looking for ways to improve. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.
Negative experience: Dr. Nair is good but she’s always behind. I’ve been seeing her for 2.5 years out of convenience because she is located next to my house but I always wait 30-60 min in the waiting room outside and at least another 30 min in the room until we are seen. Today I waited for 55 min in the waiting room with two kids and when we were sent in I told them I had another appointment in 15 min and was asked to leave without being seen
Our patients’ time is important to us. Our practice allows enough time with each patient so that we stay on schedule. However, due to emergency situations, it is possible for us to run behind schedule occasionally. We appreciate feedback and are committed to providing the best patient experience possible. Please reach out to us so we can work towards a resolution. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention. We hope to hear from you soon.
All the best,

Thank you for sharing. Our staff is committed to excellence in patient care, and they go above and beyond to prove it every day.
Fantastic experience: I have my primary doctor here an going through physical therapy now for a knee replacement. Although there can be a wait time once check in but once called back it goes rather quickly
Hi, thank you for your feedback. Patient care is our top priority, and we do all that we can to provide the very best experience.
Negative experience: We waited 1 hour 30 min
Negative experience: Truly one of the worst clinics. The front desk staff is so incompetent. You call to make an appointment you’re on hold 40 minutes then they begin to make your appointment call drops and of course they won’t call you back it’s almost comical at this point. You have to physically walk in to make an appointment. Try a better drs office!
Bianca, we regret to hear that your experience with us was not a more positive one. We'd like the opportunity to discuss this with you. Please reach out to us at (888) 584-7888 at your earliest convenience to discuss how we can turn your experience into a positive one.
Fantastic experience: I've had visits with my doctors here on a number of occasions. Each time was a good experience. Staff was professional, and the facility was clean.
Thank you for your kind words.
Negative experience: How many clowns does it take to reschedule an appointment or even transfer your call to the right place? Needless to say, the whole circus they currently have at the front desk needs to be changed. And it’s not just this location
Negative experience: Horrible scheduling department. The lady just kept going “umm” when asked a question and staying silent in hopes I’d hang up. Very unprofessional.
Negative experience: Worst Dr's office ever. Don't respond to calls. In my experience so far Loyola is a complete hack and rip-off. Put me through unnecessary procedures just for money. They can't even call me back. Complete lack of communication.
Negative experience: So disappointed with the treatment I received today in the evening with the pediatrics front desk receptionist. After calling to notify them I was going to be late due to a car accident on the way, I walked in late. I begged the front desk receptionist to please try to see what she could do for me. It was urgent matters. She raised her voice at me an informed me exactly how late I was and said “you don’t even go here”. Which she’s not wrong, I’m usually being seen in another location; still it was unnecessary and rude.
Negative experience: Awful experience. Went to get my second shingle shot that was confirmed on the My Loyola portal. I was told by the receptionist I would have to come back another time because they ran out of shots. She didn't know when. No one bothered to call me to cancel the appointment. I left work early for this appointment. Worst part about it, the receptionist didn't even say sorry. My time matters too.
Negative experience: I’ll start by saying I love Dr Maietta she’s wonderful ! She seems very caring and very sweet and thorough. Id give her personally 5 stars . However, I am left very frustrated with the staff in the office because it is so hard to get a hold of anyone via phone call or messaging on the my Loyola. I have written to them a few times for different matters and it took so long to hear back ! For instance, I got prescription for an ointment that my insurance was needing the dr preauthorization for and I wrote and called and didn’t get a call back til a week later saying they will resubmit it. Meanwhile, I’ve been extremely itchy waiting to be able to finally be able to get this ointment I was prescribed a week ago. Now I think this wait on treating my eczema flare has caused an infection and I’ll need to now make time to go see a dermatologist too. If I would have had my medicine on time I could have avoided my flare up from worsening. It’s just so frustrating !
Fantastic experience: Dr. Katherine Maietta is absolutely amazing. Dr. Maietta also explains everything to you in details.
Hi, we appreciate your positive review about your recent experience with us! If you have any further questions, please give us a call. We're always happy to help!
Negative experience: Bad service, I was only 10 minutes late bc there was an accident, they can't pick me up and let me in for a blood draw. This is an unethical act
Negative experience: My first experience at this office was terrible. The doctor was nice enough however what unfolded after my visit failed to exhibit any critical thinking or patient service ability. I arrived for my appointment, the visit which was to include lab work went fine. I asked twice during the visit if I needed to give urine. I was told no. Later on in the evening the doctor called me and said she needed to order more labs, they needed urine and asked if I could come back the next day. I live 30 minutes away from this office so I did not relish the idea of returning for what should have been done already. I asked the doctor if I needed to make an appointment and she said no, can you just come in between 9a-3pm. I arrived at the office at 9:07a. When I got to the receptionist, I explained to her my conversation with the doctor. She told me the earliest available appointment was for 11am. I explained I was told, after specifically asking, that I did not need an appointment and why can't I just give the sample and be on my way and that I live 30 min away. She explained they need another blood draw and there are other patients. I asked if they could squeeze me in for a simple blood draw and urine sample. She offered me an appointment for the next day, I said again, I live half an hour away, why would I want to come back for a 3rd time? She asked the Lab Tech, I also spoke to the manager, all of whom were unwilling to be accommodating. The manager told me this was not a walk-in clinic. I told her I didn't say it was, nor did I assume it was, I asked specifically if I needed an appointment. She replied, "you didn't ask the staff." How did that response make sense? I asked the doctor who called me - when would I have asked the staff. I understand there were other patients but not one would have been inconvenienced by the additional 5 minutes to take my samples as much as I was inconvenienced by taking 4 hours out of my day. I already explained that I've already lost an hour of my time having to return. It makes no sense. 5 minutes of time would have changed the whole experience. No one involved showed any sense or empathy and to add insult with the barely 5 minutes it took to take my samples.
Fantastic experience: I love my doctor she moved changed insurance I did the same DR Janakiram is the best and my first office visit here was great like always.
Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us this positive review! Have a great day!
Negative experience: Absolutely awful service and very rude workers. The only nice person there was the x-ray tech and one lady at the front desk. The doctor and the other lady’s at the desk were very rude and had a terrible attitude. The doctor was no help at all. Will never come back.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Stokas is one of the most caring doctors That I have ever met. I feel more drs can learn from him how to be compassionate and understanding with their patients. He's been our family dr for 4 years now and helped us so much with major health issues. Words can't Express enough what an amazing person he truly is. My entire family is blessed to have such a wonderful caring dr. His staff at hickory hills are wonderful and always willing to help in any way. Thank you for all you do for us dr stokas. You're very much appreciated.
Hello, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at Loyola Medicine Hickory Hills! We are always more than happy to assist you if anything else comes up. Take care!
Negative experience: I had to call and leave at least 2-3 messages for my husband's medication to be refilled due to needing a prior authorization from the insurance company. There was no communication at all through the online portal about the progress or lack thereof or not even a phone call. My office in Homer Glen is AMAZING!!! I can call and most of the time get immediately connected to my doctor's nurse and she will get back to me the same day. Additionally I can have regular communication with my doctor via email messaging same day!! I will be changing offices for my husband's primary care.
Hi Barbra, we understand your frustration and will relay your comments to the appropriate team. Feel free to reach us at 708-216-5140. Thanks and have a great day.
Negative experience: This place is GARBAGE!!!!!!! Place is dirty!!!!
Hi Samantha, thanks for letting us know about your experience. We will relay your comments to the appropriate team but feel free to reach us at 708-216-5140. Thanks and have a great day.
Fantastic experience: Clean, pleasant staff and one of very few medical centers that keeps the given appointment schedule, where you don't sit in reception for an hour.
We sincerely thank you for the positive review!
Fantastic experience: Great clinic clean nice staff everybody nice and amazing service
Thanks for taking the time to acknowledge our team. We appreciate the review!
Fantastic experience: Doctors are nice and staff is amazing
Hamda, thank you for your kind words and this wonderful review! Until the next time we meet, take care!
Negative experience: I had an appointment and I was running late by 10 minutes so I called to make them aware I was running late. I get there within the 10 min mark and the receptionist tells me the doctor Linares wont see me because I was late. My issue is I called and they said it was fine and the moment I get there I’m tell something else. if she wasn’t going to see me she should of told me when I called and not make me drive. I do not recommend this place they lack communication.
Jennifer Rivera, it is disappointing for us to hear that your experience was anything less than great. Please reach out to us at (708) 216-5140 so we may identify ways to improve your experience.
Positive experience: I am very happy with my daughters pcp Dr. Nair she is amazing at what she does and no matter what she always there when we need her. As for the nurses/associates I am pretty disappointed. I had a concern about my daughters test results. Left several messages and no one ever got back to me. Maybe it’s not serious but as a first time parent they should understand why i worry and at least have the courtesy to return a phone call. That right there made me lose a lot of trust in Loyola. When dr Nair isn’t there seems like none of them really care too much about a patient. The only reason why I give 3 stars is because I like Dr. Nair otherwise I’d give one.
Nancy M, we truly appreciate your honest feedback.
Negative experience: My husband had an endoscopy scheduled for 1:00, we are told at 1:15 that the procedure wasn’t until 1:45 which turned into 2:15, 3 1/2 hours later my husband comes out. No one ever said anything about this procedure taking so long, no communication, very disappointed, I usually love Loyola.
We are disappointed to learn of your experience here at Loyola Center for Health at Hickory Hills, but will take this opportunity to improve. If you would like to further discuss this situation, please contact us at 708-216-5140.
Fantastic experience: very good facility, Dr Revethis is wonderful
Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great day!
Fantastic experience: Primary care doctor stokas is amazing and helpful
Thank you for your kind words and this wonderful review!
Fantastic experience: Best Hospital and Best Doctors ever
Fantastic experience: They are very helpful and very sweet
Fantastic experience: I really like the hospital I received a lung transplant, cancer treatment and several other treatments I'd rate it higher then 5 if I could.
Negative experience: Pediatric staff makes things difficult, I have been getting the run around for over a month for my daughter to receive 1 immunization. I did everything I was suppose to do early enough to be ready for the start of school and still have to wait and take her out of school early. This is a huge inconvenience and very unprofessional!
We appreciate all reviews, and appreciate you giving us the chance to improve by providing us with this feedback. We would like to work towards a resolution, so if you are willing, please reach out to us at (708) 216-5140 to discuss this further.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Nair is my daughter, Ella's, pediatrician. Best doctor out there, from great treatment to getting my daughter in to be seen asap. Nurse Pat & Marisol are the two that have mostly taken care of my daughter whether it was at her appointment or my concerned calls for some advice, they are both wonderful! As for the receptionists, same thing. They always have a friendly vibe so when you walk up to them you feel very welcomed. Best office I have ever been to and recommend to my friends and family!
Negative experience: I am a patient of record, sick and need to see a doctor but can’t get an appointment for a few weeks. I stated I am willing to see any doctor and still couldn’t get any appointment. Truly sad and horrible system here.
Positive experience: Been going to this hospital and group of doctors for years, never have had a problem as long as I've had a scheduled appointment. The only department I have had an issue with was the sleep department. The doctor cancelled on me several times!!!
Negative experience: Horrible!!! And unprofessional! If you get recommended to come here, I suggest you dont. Broke my foot at work went to the ER and was told I needed to see this particular Dr. Otier to get cleared for work. Apparently the staff here does not know how to properly schedule patients and the Dr cares more about his 4th of July plans. They rescheduled me 3 times, heard from 3 different people pushing my appointment back farther. Extremely frustrating and un professional. Do not deal with this headache.
