Will, the On Pace Wellness nutritionist, helps individuals optimize their nutrition to improve their health and achieve their goals, all in a realistic and sustainable manner.
Equipped with a Master's Degree in Nutrition Science and a USATF certification as a running coach, Will is often described as a performance nutritionist, working with athletes from the general level to professional and Olympian, but he also works with people who want to address their health and wellness in other ways.
On Pace Wellness services are conducted in person at Therapeutic Associates PACE in NE Portland, or remotely via phone and video sessions and email communication.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Wil on my first marathon. He really took the time to explain how to fuel properly during my marathon training block and clearly answered all my questions in terms of which supplements to use. Fantastic experience: I worked with Wil for about four months, and I truly can’t recommend him enough. When I started training for my first marathon, I was completely new to the world of running and knew I needed help figuring out how to properly fuel my body. My main goal was simply to get through marathon training with the right nutrition—but Wil helped me go far beyond that. From the very beginning, Wil was patient, attentive, and never made me feel overwhelmed or discouraged, even when I came to him with a laundry list of concerns. His coaching methods are superb—encouraging, supportive, and realistic. I never felt shamed for missing a goal. Instead, he helped me build lasting habits, step by step. At first, some of the nutritional goals felt challenging, but now they’ve become second nature. Fantastic experience: Will is an exceptional professional that will help you succeed in your nutrition goals! I’ve ran track for over 10 years, and I’ve always felt comfortable working with nutritionists, as I think fueling properly is key for great performance. Now that I’m in college, I’ve found it harder to keep track of my fueling needs because I don’t get a personalized nutritional plan from a dietitian. While I can say I have tried my best to fuel properly,I would still question if I was giving my body what it needs. Will did an analysis of my diet, and I was very happy to see that it was actually pretty good. Although there were some things I could improve on, he saw no real need to change much of it, and that I’d probably be better if I continued doing what has been working for me. He gave me some recommendations on how to increase the variety of foods I am taking. He also recommended me to change a medicine I was taking for one that is more natural and would have less negative impact in my body in the long term, which I couldn’t have thought of if it wasn’t for Will. Besides his great professionalism and his care for helping me as much as he could, I appreciate his honesty with me. He told me I would be good if I kept doing what I’m doing and focused on some of my areas of improvement rather than working with him. I was impressed by his work ethic because I don’t think most professionals would say that. As an athlete, you know improvement comes by working on the details, on the little things, even when you know you are doing your best. Will looked at those small details in my diet and advised me exceptionally, and I’m very grateful for that! Whether you have big goals or just want to check if you’re in the right track, I would 100% recommend Will!

Fantastic experience: Will review On Pace Will has been a pleasure to work with! He took the time to really try to understand my life and what solutions would work for me, and was super responsive anytime I had a challenge or a question. Some background: I am a recreational long distance runner with a busy, unpredictable job. I had also recently stopped taking hormonal birth control after over 10 years of being on it and hadn’t had a menstrual cycle for over 6 months. I was looking for someone who could help me figure out a nutrition plan to support my heavy training and hectic lifestyle, and someone who could help figure out how to balance my hormones so I could get my period back, clear up my skin, and lose some hormonal weight gain that was a side effect of stopping the pill. I reached out to Will for help, and he was amazing! He set easy, actionable goals and helped me when I fell off target. After working with Will, my period has returned!! I have a great nutrition plan for races, have the energy to do long runs after work, and have even started to lose some weight and put on more muscle! I have also noticed that the occasion “bad stomach days” I used to have are gone. Will has helped me to realize that there is no magic bullet to nutrition. It takes consistency, awareness, and a plan, and Will was there to help me every step of the way!
Fantastic experience: I worked with Will this past year while training for the Hartford CT Marathon. Having not run full marathon since 2008 I was looking for dedicated nutrition coaching and I can’t say enough about how great my experience was being coached by Will. The initial process and assessment of my current nutritional plan was detailed and personalized. We then worked incrementally on building a dedicated plan during my training that was easy to follow. Will provided the science behind his recommendations as well as practical support. In addition to a general nutrition plan, Will also helped develop my training and race specific fueling strategies. When race day arrived I was comfortable and confident with our plan . I ended up have a great result that was a personal best and qualifying time for Boston!! Thanks to Will for all the guidance and so I of recommended working with Will to anyone who wants to optimize their performance!
Fantastic experience: I can't thank Will enough for all his help to elevate my diet and improve my running. After just a few months of work with Will I experienced a significant reduction in symptoms related to a major abdominal surgery. Also, my total cholesterol dropped almost 50mgs. Fantastic experience: I worked with Will for approximately 3 months. My goal was not to lose weight just to maintain and keep my prediabetes in check and eat healthy. I also wanted to make sure I was eating enough for my running. In those 3 months he taught me how to eat. His approach is so that eventually you can continue eating in a healthy way yourself. He does not give give you specific meals instead he guides you as to what you should add to an entree you may already be eating. I can now say I eat more fruits and vegetables which I was not doing before. For me 3 months was enough to where I felt I could continue this process myself. He was ok and not pushy when I cancelled the subscription after 3 months. Give it a try even if it's just one month you won't regret it and like I said don't feel bad if you only do one month he does not get angry or try to push you into continuing the service. I know many people these days are on a tight budget.
Fantastic experience: For the last ~10 years or so, I have felt bloated and "fluffy." Before working with Will, I was 10 pounds heavier than I wanted to be. I am a marathon runner so trying to balance the energy needs with the desire to lose the "fluff" has been a challenge. I've tried dieting on my own with no success and have hired a popular running sports dietitian to help me drop the weight, with no luck. Then I was introduced to Will. He is fantastic to work with! In two months, he has slowly changed my eating habits and has identified that I am lactose intolerant - something that didn't even occur to me! I am now down 8 pounds and no longer feel "fluffy." I cannot say enough good things about Will. His knowledge, strategy and communication is incredible! Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: I worked with Stevie and she is awesome! I only hope we are friends for life. This company is the real deal and you will not regret spending your money or time with them. Stevie was able to adjust my nutrition and the benefits blew me away. I was taken off my blood pressure medication and started running again at age 70! Stevie is very informed and I learned a lot from her that I will use daily. I would urge anyone to just try this company out! Money well spent!!!

Fantastic experience: Will is awesome and I cannot recommend him enough. I needed help with my race day nutrition for an upcoming ultramarathon (Fat Dog 12) and Will was the perfect person to speak with. I was able to get so much valuable information and insight from a 1 hour Zoom call with him. He's very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I'll definitely be working with him again in the future. Fantastic experience: I found Stevie Chaddock through the recommendation of my PT and couldn't recommend her more highly! I initially sought out a nutritionist to help me balance hormones while supporting some ambitious running and training goals. Just a few days into working with Stevie, I broke my ankle, which put most of those goals on hold. However, we quickly pivoted to a nutrition plan to boost my healing process, while implementing a foundational structure for getting back to running once I was ready. I've learned so much from Stevie and finally feel like I have the tools and habits I need to tackle much longer runs. Her enthusiasm, flexibility, and experimental approach throughout the whole process were game changers. I hope to work with Stevie again someday (with all bones intact!). Thank you again!!
Fantastic experience: I recently worked with Will to help me with my running performance and recovery and to have better sleep. After he reviewed several days of my nutrition diary, he came up with suggestions that were easy to incorporate into my everyday life. His communication was excellent. He was extremely quick to respond. After working with Will and incorporating his suggestions into my daily routine I have had a significant improvement in my sleep cycle (something I struggled with for years) which has led to an improvement in my running and recovery.
Fantastic experience: I am a 59-year-old avid cyclist with interest in improving my metrics and overall health. I searched a long time for a dietician specializing in sports nutrition. Will has the extensive education and work experience that I had been looking for. Will took time to understand my workout regiment, health history and goals. From this he created a customized dietary plan that empowered me to incorporate nutrients in a healthy, satisfying manner. We communicated on a weekly basis to review my past weeks progress while discussing goals for the new week. Will encouraged me to reach out at any time with questions and was always prompt with his responses. I found Will to be highly intelligent, insightful and very personable. I will be signing up for an additional course that he offers and recommend Will without reservation.
Fantastic experience: I just finished a month working with Will on improving some lazy nutritional habits I've developed as well as improving athletic recovery and preparation. I'm so thrilled with the results! Will took simple steps to guide my day without being overly didactic. He provided me with clear instructions for my workout fueling and has improved my recovery with some easy changes. I've previously felt overwhelmed by information on how to make the "best" choices, and Will was able to sort through the noise and in the end it just feels easy. Fantastic experience: Will is very knowledgeable in run nutrition and fit the needs for my 100 mile ultra perfectly. I came in with the expectation of learning about good solid foods for running and for going into my ultra with the best nutrition. Fantastic experience: I have been working with Will while training for a marathon and he has been so incredibly helpful! Balancing nutrition while running high mileage, focusing on recovery and working full-time is very challenging. We started with small changes, added/increased over several weeks and now I find it easy to incorporate great nutrition in every meal. I always feel well fueled on my runs and have noticed several other health benefits. He also offers great advice on brands to look for and is incredibly responsive (oftentimes responding to my grocery store photo before I’m out the door). Highly recommended working with On Pace Wellness if you are looking for ways to become a better, stronger athlete!
Fantastic experience: I have been working with Will at On Pace for the last 3 months. It has been an incredible learning experience and I feel like I have met all the goals I was hoping to accomplish when I set out on this nutrition journey. Fantastic experience: If I could write a book about how good Will is I would!! I highly recommend him to help you reach your nutrition goals. He strives to really understand each of his clients and goes out of his way to do the extra mile so you can be fully satisfied! I always feel like he is doing the work alongside me. I have severe mental health conditions and have been visiting a lot of hospitals and health professionals for the last decade. Fantastic experience: If I could give 10 stars I would! I reached out to Will looking to improve my day to day nutrition as well as learn how to fuel training runs while training for an ultramarathon. I love his approach of food recommendations to add into my diet instead of prescribing a rigid meal plan. He has also helped me improve my fueling plan during training runs which have made my runs stronger and faster. Will helped me discover what has been causing me some major bloat and discomfort and having eliminated that I am feeling better than ever! I cannot recommend Will and On Pace Wellness high enough and if you are looking for a nutritionist or are on the fence, you can’t go wrong here.
Fantastic experience: Will is AWESOME. I'm a semi cyclist/Du athlete and have struggled for years with my nutrition. I was not put on a plan and left to figure things out. Will set me up with a lifestyle nutrition guide, each week a new wrinkle was added which made it really easy, especially for a person with a family and a fulltime job. My goal was about health and not centered on performance. But I managed to get both. Not only did I lose weight, but I was able to get faster on the bike and run. Fantastic experience: I came to Wilfredo in August with a ton of GI issues that were significantly inhibiting my ability to train and race in ultramarathons at a high level. I was frustrated that nothing I was doing seemed to be helping, and was desperate to not only resolve, but also discover the root cause of my GI distress. Will guided me through the process with excellent advice, attention to detail, and was always extremely responsive to my feedback and questions. Within two months I was able to resolve my gut issues and return to running and racing without a problem. I could not recommend him enough! He truly cares about his clients and I will absolutely return to him with any other nutritional needs I have in the future.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed working with Will and On Pace Wellness. Fantastic experience: I have been working with Stevie for a while now and it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made. While I eat pretty clean, I discovered the importance of variety in my diet and of adding nuts and seeds. I've also learned what my body needs and what it doesn't tolerate. Fantastic experience: Will helped me tremendously while I was training for a track race and dealing with chronic arthritic pain. He helped me seek natural food-based remedies for pain management and reducing inflammation. His methods helped hold me accountable but also made things very realistic and manageable without having to completely re-write my entire diet. Highly recommend him for athletes but also anyone looking to reduce inflammation, or simply eat more healthy.
Fantastic experience: This review is long overdue. Will was amazing to work with! I first worked with Will almost a year ago. His recommendations have had a lasting impact on my diet and health. I still implement the foods he recommended to help me accomplish my goals. My A1C and blood sugar are still down and my performance on the bike is at an all time high.
Fantastic experience: When people ask about my experience hiring a nutritionist I generally sum it up as the best money I've ever spent. Wilfredo was able to meet me where I was at in my diet, and coach me over the course of three months into a much healthier way of eating that felt natural and enjoyable for me. One that is based on nutrient needs, instead of guilt or rigid guidelines. Fantastic experience: Would recommend a million times if I could. I have had Crohn’s disease for 6 years and through the help of Wilfredo, I finally feel healthy throughout this journey. I have talked with so many professionals but this is the first time where I felt I had a truly comprehensive plan with a manageable process. I now have a healthy relationship with food and hope that I can lead a more normal life of not feeling malnourished all the time.
Fantastic experience: I don't even know where to start! I have been working with the amazing knowledgable Wilfredo since the beginning of December 2020 and since then I have seen soooo many improvements. I am a marathon runner , and I have been all my life and I never really looked into my nutrition until recently. I felt off and I knew that my nutrition played a role in why I haven't seen performance changes that I want to see (I have work so hard in everything else except for nutrition). From the beginning I felt that Will HEARD me, and understood what I was looking for ( which was optimizing my nutrition so that I could train well and push my body more without feeling like crummy). After the first week- not only did I learn SOO much about what I was doing well but about all the things that I was missing. Since then we has slowly added more beneficial things to my diet, so many my habits have improved (like my water intake, sleep, stress, GI issues, my skin) and on top of that my ability to tolerate my long work outs without feeling complete dead - BOOM MAGIC. I ran a 30 miler JUST FINE!!! I was shocked but ever so grateful for his help. All I can say you don't know what you don't know, and if you are serious about being the healthiest you , as a long time athlete this has been one of the greatest if not the BEST investment I have made for me. Fantastic experience: As a 45 year old female, calcium is of utmost importance to maintain bone health. Will helped me create a weekly blueprint of sound nutrition and calcium intake. Fantastic experience: I'm by no means a professional athlete, but still enjoy training and racing for marathon length events for fun. I found my way to Will after struggling with chronic low energy during exercise, and knowing that a haphazard diet was likely a part of the problem, in the midst of juggling a busy schedule. Will is very knowledgeable about the nutritional needs of active people, and really helped me develop clear, intentional nutritional goals to aim for, which has been incredibly helpful in changing the daily and weekly way I plan what I eat, so I can do a better job of fueling for energy, in my daily life and in my training and racing efforts.

Fantastic experience: As an ultra trail runner, I know nutrition is important. However, I was struggling with my appetite, energy, and overall mood and I know my choice of meals was probably the biggest factor in that. Thankfully, I was referred to Will and was able to make some massive changes in a short amount of time. It's obvious how much he cares about the success of his clients. Fantastic experience: Having Will as my nutritionist has been extremely eye-opening for me, and I have learnt so much. I am a footballer, and having suffered with a chronic ankle injury, I never quite knew the extent my nutrition would impact the healing process. Being a relatively new vegan there was a lot of nutrients I was lacking without knowing. Will highlighted this, and now sets me weekly goals to make sure I am on track, which I find incredibly helpful. I feel more energised and I notice myself recovering a lot more efficiently already. Fantastic experience: Will has a lot of knowledge, is caring, and very personable when I needed assistance in my nutrition. I injured my foot last season and didn’t know if I was going to compete at the Olympic Trials. I was also concerned with my blood work results. He provided me insight and reassurance that my blood levels can be managed. With his assistance, Will became a mentor in my nutrition which also helped my mental wellbeing. He checked in weekly making sure my foot pain decreased and if the food/vitamins he recommended helped my discomfort. I was able to race at the Olympic Trials with little discomfort, thanks to Will. Currently, I am injury free. I am still working with Will and I am looking forward to dialing in all the positive changes and performing on top of my game with his guidance. I highly recommend Will! Fantastic experience: Will is awesome. His approach in getting me to make better choices in what I eat, and when, has been refreshing. As a competitive cyclist I wanted to work with someone who understood the demands I put on myself to train and race, could help me fuel for those demands with the right foods, and help me replenish with the right foods. I'm an older athlete who is kinda set in his ways when it comes to food and drink but I also realize that those ways aren't doing me any good the older I get, so change was necessary. Will's slow-build approach to making those changes has definitely set me up to succeed in making better choices in what I eat, and I've seen a drastic difference in daily energy, focus, and in my training rides. Fantastic experience: Will is THE best! I am a distance runner and suffered from multiple stress fractures and other inflammatory conditions. I was so badly injured that i was unable to run for over 11 months. Will designed a nutrition plan tailored to me, to make sure i got all the nutrients I was lacking that would help speed up the healing process. Fantastic experience: Will is a fantastic running coach and nutritionist who, through his wonderful support, helped me recover from an injury and complete my first marathon in my goal time! It was a great pleasure to work with Will and he devised a custom training plan for me based on my previous running experience, goals and injuries. He provided invaluable nutrition / hydration advice that supported my training and was a patient supportive coach throughout my training. Fantastic experience: Will is the best! I’m a first year collegiate runner dealing with low iron, injuries and weak immune system. Through monitoring my previous diet, he was able to see what food and supplements needed to be added in order to improve my symptoms. After about two months of working with him I saw so many improvements in my overall health and post workout recovery. I worked with him over email/phone and he always made sure to check in and answer any questions I had. With his help and the knowledge I have gained from him, I feel confident about my food choices going forward.

Fantastic experience: I'm a non-professional, but serious runner - I broke my foot 6 months ago, and had less than two months after I was cleared to run to train for the NYC Marathon. I met with Will to make sure I was covering all of my bases nutrition-wise to stay has healthy and prepared for New York as possible. Will was so fun and easy to work with. He gave me great feedback on things I can add to my diet to improve it, rather than take away and replace everything (we all love indulgence!!). I felt I could be honest with Will about my diet, and he gave great advice. I've noticed a big difference in my overall wellness and digestion based on the changes I've made that Will suggested - but especially when I'm running. I'm pleased with the progress I've made, and am excited to continue to work with Will!
Fantastic experience: It's been great being able to work with Will on my overall health and nutrition. I'm a professional soccer player, and I started off my season injured. Coming back in the middle of a season isn't easy, and Will was there to get me back out on the field as soon as possible. He helped me find the best supplements to be taking while also monitoring my diet throughout my recovery.
