Fantastic experience: I don't usually write reviews, however, I felt that Dr Lucas and team deserved a 5 Star review as they have literally changed my life. I started seeing Dr Lucas a few months ago as I was suffering from severe neck and back pain. After my first consultation, it was apparent I had some damage done to my spine many many years ago. I was hesitant that I would feel any relief, however after about 4 visits, I was actually able to turn my neck without turning my whole body. Here is where Dr Lucas has really made a difference. I also suffer from Celiac and Silent reflux. For the last year or so, I have been depending on Acid relievers and a very strict diet to relieve the symptoms of this reflux disease. This is where I thought he was one of "those" doctors.... He did this assessment on my overall digestive health. To say the least, it was bad... very bad... he wanted me to start taking these enzymes. I thought to myself, oh boy here we go...another doctor trying to cure me with some miracle drug. I didn't want to buy them, but I did and followed his instructions to the "T". I've been on these enzymes for about 5-6 weeks now. I no longer take those Acid relievers since I have been on the enzymes. Oh.. let's not forget the Aloe...this is KEY!!! I use the fresh aloe leaf from the store and blend it with some fruit or just eat it straight if I'm in a hurry. And to test it out, I ate gluten the other night and I had NO BELLY ISSUE!!!!!!!!! I'm still very careful of what I eat and learned today that the ground turkey I've been indulging in is probably not smart either. Fish and red meat is the next test to a healthy belly.. and healthy body. My insurance doesn't cover his care, but I don't care. Fantastic experience: Dr Lucas is an amazing chiropractor! I drive 15 miles one way to see him for my neck and low back problems. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and beyond. Once I started going my husband saw how happy with my treatments and care and he now goes for his issues. We have been his patients since 2012. His assistants are also very accommodating, gentle and caring. His office staff is also very nice , accommodating and caring. I have never had anything but great service here. Before you have surgery or give up on your issues you should go see him. The first time visit is a but lengthy because they take time and care making sure they know everything about your condition. After that, they will get you in and out in a timely manner. It’s obvious once you start going that all of their patients love them. It’s very family like oriented and you can tell his patients are long time patient who refer their friends and their family. I write this review knowing how important it is to give credit for one’s professional services. I can’t say enough good things about this doctor and staff!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lucas and his staff are great! Everyone that I have dealt with there has been friendly, helpful and very attentive to my needs. Came there several weeks ago with back and leg stiffness and aching which made life a bit difficult during daily activities as well as nighttime sleeping. Thanks to Dr. Lucas and his staff I am feeling a lot better and can enjoy my favorite activities and sleeping through the night. Almost back to my old self!! Would definitely recommend them to anyone who has been searching for relief from their aches and pains.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by a friend who had great results from Dr. Lucas. I had discs in my neck that were compressing on nerves causing severe pain, numbness and tingling from my neck all the way down my right arm to my finger tips. After seeing Dr. Lucas 3 times a week for 4 weeks the pain is gone, most of the numbness and tingling has subsided and I feel great. Fantastic experience: I had a great deal of back problems following my pregnancy and I was willing to give this a try. I didn't have very high hopes, but I saw the great reviews for Lucas Chiro so I decided to give him a shot. Thankfully I did because he corrected my back issues and in the amount of time he told me it would likely take. I am now pain-free and able to hold my baby comfortably. Dr. Lucas really helped me in what I thought was a hopeless situation. I highly recommend Lucas Chiro to resolve your back pains.

Fantastic experience: My name is Jim McCann. I have been a patient of Dr. Lucas for over ten years. When I first was seen by Dr. Lucas I had a bulging disc and a herniated disc in my neck. I was seen by surgeon at that time that strongly urged me to have surgery. Dr. Lucas asked that i give him three months to correct the problem. I did and now, ten years later, my neck is still doing fine. He has also taken care of various other aches and pains that have developed over the years. Thank you Dr. Lucas.

Fantastic experience: Doctors like Doctor Lucas are rare to come by. He knows what he’s talking about and is in the business of figuring out what the root of the problem is! Unlike doctors who use pharmacy drugs to “mask” your symptoms and never helping you find out how your body developed the problem in the first place. Dr. Lucas is honest, and determined. Any family member or friend I’ve sent his way has been greatly helped!

Fantastic experience: After back surgery for a herniated disc at Rush (which was successful). After about a month my back became "tired" and I could not walk any long distances (less than a block) without sitting down. Went back to Rush who suggested physical therapy which only made the issue much worse to the extent I was taking pain killers most of the time. Then went to two other chiropractors over the next six months and nothing improved. Went to a 3rd chiropractor who was recommended by a friend at which time I described what I needed done and what had worked in the past (over 10 years ago). He called Lucas Chiropractic for me to see if they had this equipment to which they answered Yes. I then spent the next two months at Lucas after which I was able to walk over two miles on uneven ground with little to no pain. I am now on a treatment once every two weeks. Bottom line is that if you have patience and the right kind of help you can get much better, better than I had hoped. Dr. Lucas is a 10 in my book.

Fantastic experience: When I went in to see Dr. Lucas I had such a chronic lower back pain for over ten years. I went to Orthopedic Doctors who just took xrays and said nothing was wrong and wanted to give me medication. I was unable to sit for long periods of time without using a cushion and I was unable to ride a bike without out having immediate excruciating pain. Within 5 months of treatments with Dr. Lucas I am now able to ride my bike and sit without carrying a cushion around with me. I am so happy with my results and love having my life back. Fantastic experience: I went to see Dr. Lucas after dealing with several months of chronic neck pain. After the first couple visits, I started to notice that the severity and frequency of the neck pain was reduced. After a couple of months, I was pain-free. Fantastic experience: My mother is 82 years old. Weeks ago she suddenly woke up with severe pain in her neck radiating down left side of back and left arm. On a scale of 1-10, it was a 10 and she could not do anything including sleep. She waited a few days to see if it would subside but it didn't so she finally went to her doctor. The doctor did not take X-rays or anything but felt her back and said it was tightening of the muscles and gave her muscle relaxers and ibuprofen. A week later, it was still as bad, the muscle relaxers did not help and she called her doctor again and he said it takes time, to give it another week. Well, being in extreme pain and unable to go anywhere or perform regular home tasks like washing a dish or throwing in a load of laundry, she just could not stand it anymore. Talking to various people in my office and also she was talking to many of her older friends who recommended she see a chiropractor. One friend recommended Dr. Lucas. Mom immediately made an appt. Dr. Lucas' staff were very friendly, professional and made us feel welcome. Dr. Lucas was wonderful, he took the time to review Mom's health history on a summary document she completed, he made mom and I feel comfortable and at ease as this was a new experience for mom and for me as an onlooker. He also took xrays (yes!!!) and determined that the pain was originating from a "nerve" in her neck, not muscles at all. He started treatment that same day and when we returned home, her pain had gone from a 10 to a 4 - amazing !!! We could not believe the results. The next day, she felt great as well. She is continuing her treatment with Dr. Lucas and we are so grateful for his knowledge and care and highly recommend his services.

I came in with lower back pain and after Dr. Lucas took X-rays and analyzed my description of pain he was able to come up with a treatment plan that was specifically for me. Fantastic experience: I was diagnosed last year with cervical radiculopathy - pinched nerves in my neck with severe pain radiating from my neck all the way down my left arm to my fingers. I did not want to undergo surgery. Instead, I researched safe chiropractic techniques to relieve my pain (Cox technique, computerized spinal adjustment). Dr. Lucas is the only chiropractor in my area that uses these techniques & he has helped reduce my pain substantially. I am so glad I found him!

Fantastic experience: My mother went to Dr. Lucas after a car-totaling traffic collision years ago. Before Dr. Lucas, her pain medication gave her a stomach ulcer yet she still did not have the relief she needed. Dr. Lucas restored my mother's life-quality completely. Fantastic experience: I was recommended to Dr. Lucas by a woman who had been going to a downtown hospital for 2 years for treatment and was told that they could not relieve the pain that she incurred from an auto accident. A friend recommended Dr. Lucas. After numerous treatments Dr. Lucas made her practically pain free. At times I have moderate to severe pain in my lower back as I have an additional lumbar vertibrae and the nerves are more easily irritated or pinched. In as little as 2 or three treatments, He has me back on my feet. If I get to him the day of the incident, I am usually pain free the next day. Amazing from my point of view. He is tops in my book and should be in yours also. I literally don't know what I would do without him. He has the latest in modern equipment incuding the electronic massage machine that you wish you could take home with you. His staff are the greatest and set the tone for great chiropractic care.

Fantastic experience: Before coming to see Dr. Lucas with severe lower back pain and discomfort that was radiating throughout my lower body, I had received treatments from a Chiropractor, Orthopedic Doctor and a Physical Therapist and a consultation with a Neurosurgeon. None of them correctly diagnosed the issue and provided wrong treatments resulting in a even worse condition. Dr. Lucas ordered and MRI and correctly diagnosed a badly herniated disc between L3 & L4. The Neurosurgeon with 5 seconds of seeing the MRI recommended surgery. While my treatment is ongoing, the treatment and guidance received from Dr. Lucas thus far has helped me alleviate the pain and discomfort. I feel that I am on the right path to full recovery. Fantastic experience: I came into the office with lower back pain. My legs and feet were numb. I was walking like I was 80 years old man,because I couldn't feel my feet to balance myself. I had an appointment with my regular doctor, for an unrelated problem. He strongly recommended that I go see a nero surgeon for my back. That wasn't going to happen. The things I've heard people say about back surgery is that it didn't work or they're going in for another surgery. Anyway, about six weeks later, I'm as good as new. Each week I was getting a little bit better. Dr. Lucas said it would take about 30 days for the numbness to leave my legs. Thank you Dr. Lucas...another satisfied customer!!!

Fantastic experience: I have been dealing with digestive issues since I was about 7 years old. After I had my gall bladder removed three years ago (which was supposed to solve the issues) things became astronomically worse--I struggled with diarrhea daily. Countless tests and doctors visits and I never got an answer. I didn't feel good and had things like low Vitamin D which they couldn't explain and the supplements I was taking weren't helping. My husband recommended Dr. Lucas to me, and while skeptical, I figured it was worth a shot. He was able to tell me on the first visit things that I have NEVER had answers from even from specialists. He put me on digestive enzymes and I felt better within the first few weeks. It took a few months for all of my symptoms to be completely under control, but I have been using them for about three months now and I rarely have any of the issues I have before. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Lucas for several years. I had lower back surgery about 24 years ago, and, although it was successful, I still suffer from some pain and discomfort. In addition, I have some troubles with discs in my neck. I have been to several different Chiropractors before, but really never seemed to get good results. Fantastic experience: After trying 14 different back specialists over the years, (no kidding!) I finally found one that WORKS. Not only does Dr. Lucas successfully treat my back issues when they pop up but I have postponed a shoulder and a hip surgery that I wasn't looking forward to for 2 years now. The enzymatic therapy is amazing. It takes time to see the effects but my shoulder has full range now and we did no manipulation to fix it, just digestive enzymes! They also got me off of Nexium, which I was a daily user for 12 years!! (And I tried to get off of them 3 times before and always failed.)

Fantastic experience: I had very bad vertigo and pain due to old trauma to my neck & upper back. I tried traditional physical therapy for over 3 months and every time I'd bend the wrong way, I'd be back at square one with vertigo, pain, etc. Within 2 weeks of treatment at Lucas Chiropractic my vertigo was gone and I felt great. Fantastic experience: Dr Lucas and his staff are great! I came to them with severe sciatic pain in my right leg. After my first week of treatment my sciatic pain is gone. Fantastic experience: After 3 back surgeries, 3 series of epidural shots which did not work and a year of going to a pain clinic (a horrific experience), I again found myself unable to walk, lie down or even sit for 5 minutes without severe sciatic pain. Following an MRI and Mylogram, a neurosurgeon told me it was too dangerous for him to operate because of the scar tissue from my 3 previous surgeries. His only alternative was another series of epidural shots which I declined. Still experiencing the severe pain which greatly affected my daily life, I decided to search the Internet for a chiropractor. I had gone to chiropractors in the past for sciatic pain but my last experience with a chiropractor was not a good one and I ended up in more pain then when I started with him. In my search, I came across Dr. Ronald Lucas and read a number of his patients’ reviews and decided to call and make an appointment. Dr. Lucas saw me the next day. He looked at my MRI film and confirmed that I had herniated and bulging discs, stenosis, and degenerative disc disease. He spent quite a bit of time examining and talking with me. He then asked me to give him 4 weeks and said that if we didn’t see any improvement in that time he probably couldn’t help me. He told me that I would never be back to 100% but after the 4 weeks, I was able to walk, lie down and even sit for longer periods of time without severe pain. I have continued to improve with his treatments and now I only experience some pain when I sit for extended periods of time which is relieved by my getting up and walking around. I respect Dr. Lucas for his truthfulness and highly recommend him and his staff. I can never thank him enough for giving me my life back.

Fantastic experience: I continue to be amazed at all the areas of health that chiropractic helps with. I have been a patient of Dr. Lucas for many years, usually for back problems. Recently I had extreme sinus surgery and afterwards had constant throbbing pain throughout my head & neck. Prescription pain pills had no effect. I decided to see if Dr. Lucas could help since nothing else seemed to be working. Amazingly, after only 1 chiropractic treatment my headaches were 50% better! Fantastic experience: I was exercising one day and I hurt my lower back. I contacted Dr. Lucas and he saw me that day. He took x-rays to properly diagnose the problem (I had herniated my L4, L5 discs) and come up with the most suitable plan of recovery. Dr. Lucas explained to me that this was going to be a long recovery and he was right. With regular chiropractic adjustments, spinal decompression, TheraStim, enzyme nutrition, and prescribed exercise plan my lower back and health in general began to improve considerably. Fantastic experience: I have been to many different types of Chiro's in the past and by far have had the best results and best experience from Dr. Lucas. I originally went due to issues with my neck. Not only did he completely fix my neck issues, he also helped me with some serious digestive issues I had suffered with for a long time. One of the most impressive things to me is the way Dr. Lucas treats his patients. He is extremely honest and will not nickel and dime you by telling you you have to come back every week for the rest of your life (like many other chiro's do). He treats the issue and when things are looking good, depending on your situation, you really only have to go back once a month for maintenance which I have found to keep me in check and leaving me feeling terrific. I highly recommend this practice and have heard many success stories from other patients that have been treated by Dr. Lucas.

Fantastic experience: I had been suffering from almost constant and at times severe neck pain for over 15 years and to a lesser degree back pain. Examples include while driving a car and turning my head to look to the right or left required me to shift my upper body in the same direction in an effort to avoid pain and activities such as playing catch with my son was at times too painful. My primary care physician and a specialist I consulted on the advice of my physician had never had any success relieving that pain. Their recommendations included physical therapy which did little to diminish the pain and a prescription for pain medication that I refused because I did not want to simply mask the pain with pills which I knew would eventually require increasing dosages. I had never been to a chiropractor and started seeing Dr. Lucas after a friend who was suffering from similar neck pain that I had highly recommended him. Within a couple of visits my neck pain began to diminish and in a matter of 2 months my pain was significantly reduced to the point I never believed was possible. Continued treatment yielded additional benefits resulting in eventually a decreased number of office visits. It is well worth the trip to for me to travel 45 minutes each way to visit Lucas Chiropractic and I cannot more strongly recommend Dr. Lucas and his dedicated and friendly staff to anyone experiencing moderate to severe back and neck pain. Fantastic experience: I was getting therapy from a hospital and it almost crippled me, 23 yrs. ago. My husband found Dr. Lucas and said go for it. I was able to return all of the devices the other Dr. had given me after 2 weeks of treatment from Dr. Lucas. He saved me from back surgery then and has continued to keep me out of the hospital. He helped my 8 yr. old granddaughter who was a jr. Olympic swimmer who had curvature of the spine. Saved two of my co-workers from serious surgery. Fantastic experience: I started seeing Dr Lucas around 1986 and used his services for some 13 years before moving to Florida. There is a huge difference between chiropractors. If you're not getting what you expect from your chiropractor you need to see Dr Lucas. I went through 6 chiropractors in the first 2 years in Florida before finding my present chiropractor. Dr Lucas being grade A, my present chiropractor would be a B-. The difference is not only his skills and equipment, it's how he tailors the treatments to each individual. Ask about his enzymes. My digestion is no longer an issue. Great doctor and sincerely appreciated!

Fantastic experience: I have been with Dr. Lucas for the past 10 or more years and he has helped me through many issues. The first being the chiropractic work done to help my spinal stenosis and arthritis, along with hip and knee problems. When I keep a monthly appointment with Dr. Lucas I can stay in balance with the above. During winter I found I was unable to come due to the weather and really fell back into pain. I was limping terribly an almost ready to start using a cane. Coming back and working with Dr. Lucas a couple times a week brought me back to the ability to walk straighter just from the chiropractic work and also fascia work. I am now walking straighter without a limp. I have also received a pair of arch supports which are comfortable and balance me. Having trouble with digestive problems, Dr. Lucas suggested enzyme nutrition which I have been following and feeling much better. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Lucas for a number of years. I see him regularly for lower back and foot problems. Many members of my family have also been helped by Dr. Lucas with conditions ranging from digestive problems to migraine headaches. More recently, Dr. Lucas did something life saving for me. During a routine mammogram, concern was raised with the discovery of breast calcifications. Not just any calcifications, rather, ones that signal DCIS, an early stage of breast cancer. A biopsy was required. I was fortunate, no cancer was detectable. This was not sufficient for Dr. Lucas, however. He promptly jumped into "healer" mode. Dr. Lucas prescribed a myriad of enzymes, vitamins, and dietary recommendations. He proclaimed, "We're going to kick this." And he did. At my six month follow up mammogram, I could only hope it showed no change. My news was better than I could ever have imagined. The calcifications were gone! Yes, gone. Thank you Dr. Lucas. You are a life saver.

Fantastic experience: Dr Lucas and his staff are excellent and I have been coming to him for almost 15 years and he has helped me immensely and avoid surgery. I live on the north side of the city and drive almost an hour to see him. I have had neck issues since college and the stretching techniques he uses versus the traditional "adjustment" where your neck is turned quickly is the best method. My mom has also started to see him and it's amazing the difference in her posture and her overall well being. He gets my highest recommendation!

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Dr. Lucas and his Staff for the excellent care they provide for their patients daily. Recently I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes and was immediately placed on a prescription medication to lower my escalating blood sugars. While being treated for my back, hip and knee problem Dr Lucas suggested a course of treatment to help manage my blood sugar. I am just ecstatic to say that after following the plan Dr.Lucas gave me that my blood sugars have returned to the normal range and I have been able to eliminate the prescription drug that I was taking. Most mornings my blood sugar is below 100 and 2 hours after meals it is under 140! My most rescent A1C was 5.9 which is well below the diabetic range! I would highly reccomend that you speak with Dr Lucas if you are struggling with any type of blood sugar issues or really any type of chronic health issues! His knowledge and techniques go way beyond what most people consider normal chiropractic care!

Fantastic experience: I went to see Dr. Lucas in July for the ChiroThin weight loss program he offers. After a few days of being on the diet I became very ill (flu like systems). When I called the office to talk to Dr. Lucas about feeling ill he knew right away there were some undiagnosed health issues happening. He did an enzyme test and immediately knew health issues I was having without ever telling him about them. Now after a couple of months of enzyme therapy and a second round with the ChiroThin diet, I have lost 41 pounds, lowered my blood pressure, have more energy and simply feel so much better. I also had a foot issue for a very long time and was seeing a podiatrist, which really didn’t to relieve my pain. However, after a few visits with Dr. Lucas the pain has diminished dramatically. Fantastic experience: After going through cortisone injections and two other chiros, Doctor Lucas saved my life. I was in constant pain, couldn’t sleep and could not go out and enjoy life. He listened and read my MRI. I was skeptical when he told me he could make me 80-90 percent better. Everything he said came true. His methods are different from many chiros around; he does not throw you around. After six years , I see him about 4 times a year or whenever I have a medical problem because his vast knowledge helps me make smart decisions. Trust this doctor. Fantastic experience: I went to see Dr. Lucas on the recommendation of a friend. My neck felt like a pencil was constantly stabbing it, and I had pain and numbness in my arm. Dr. Lucas took x-rays and was immediately able to determine that I had vertebrae out of alignment. His treatments gave me immediate relief. Because this is a recurring problem, I am always able to get in to see him for a "tune up" treatment, usually on the day I call for an appointment. I would highly recommend his services.

Fantastic experience: Two years ago I had L4/L5 disk bulge. Within 3 weeks, Doc had me up and running with traction treatments, and no cracking (read below). He has excellent skills, and is confident in those skills. They say it ain't braggin if you can do it. Well, he never brags.
