Fantastic experience: I came to Abundant Life Chiropractic with low back pain that I had been suffering with for some time. My husband and I were planning a hike in Spain and I wasn't sure I would be able to do it. Dr. Bates took her time and listened to my concerns and developed a plan. I was a little nervous since I had never been to a chiropractor before. Surprisingly it was a very painless process because Dr. Bates uses the Activator method of care. After a few visits my pain was subsiding. Another part of my care was getting custom orthotics from Dr. Bates. Happily I was able to hike 100 miles in Spain with little to no discomfort! I'm on maintenance now which helps keep me lined up so I can continue all the activities I enjoy.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Bates is a very intelligent and thoughtful practitioner. Her knowledge of the human mind and body go beyond just surface level thinking. She's able to address the root cause of the issue and not just the symptom. She has helped me to fully understand how the body functions as a whole and not as individual parts. I've been seeing her for both chiropractic and nutrition for 18 months now and she has vastly improved many health related aspects of my life. Fantastic experience: I was told about Dr. Bates from a friend of mine. I was telling her that my back goes out quite frequently and she suggested Dr. Bates because she herself got great results. I balked at the idea at first because I was always afraid that something could go wrong during an adjustment. My friend explained that Dr Bates doesn't use the manual adjustment method but she uses a tool called an activator. After much thought I decided to set up an appointment. I am so happy I did. Dr. Bates is very thorough and informative about your treatment plan. She explains everything so you can understand what is being done and why. I am happy to say now the pain is gone and I can be more active and have the confidence that my back is strong and aligned. I highly recommend Dr. Bates.

Fantastic experience: My experience has been very positive. I first came with some pain in my left shoulder and upper back. It was the worst back pain I have experienced. Dr. Bates fixed me up good. It didn't take long before the pain was gone and it has never returned. I go back periodically to keep things in shape. Well worth it.

I had the most pain in my knees and was having trouble walking down a flight of stairs. After 3 months of treatment, I could walk down stairs without pain and without limping. I had been suffering with lower back pain for years and saw spinal specialists and physical therapists in an attempt to find relief. None of those outlets had worked out for me. I knew pregnancy was going to increase my back discomfort and began visiting her office. It took several months of visits before I felt total comfort. Even though I am considered “well”, I still go for a regular adjustment monthly to maintain my comfort level.

Fantastic experience: I came to Dr.Bates after being told by a surgeon that I should get back surgery after doing multiple months of PT, getting 2 rounds of epidural injections (16 total) and doing nerve blocks all of which did not work. Only being 36 at the time, I did not want to do the surgery because I was told that as I aged, I would have the surgery again and each time came with more and more risks. I worked for Dr. Bates for a few years prior to my issues, so I decided to return as a patient and I am so happy that I did. I no longer have the extreme pain I did, I am more active and even though my arthritis and L4 &L5 damage are not reversible, Dr. Bates activator technique is able to keep my spine from becoming more damaged. I know a lot of ppl find going often can be a lot during active treatment but believe me it is truly worth it and I 110% recommend continuing with monthly wellness visits so that your symptoms do not return. Fantastic experience: Went for back and neck pain while suffering with severe knee pain. Neck and back feel much better, wasn't expecting any relief for the pain in my knee but to my surprise the shoe inserts Dr. Bates recommended helped my knee pain tremendously.

Fantastic experience: I started receiving treatment from Dr. Bates in June and she's helped tremendously in resolving the pain I was experiencing in my lower back. The pain was severe enough at the start that I seriously contemplated getting a cortisone injection. Felt like a knife in my lower back whenever I would stand after sitting. Sharp pain is gone and the back adjustments via the actvator method are working. Looking forward to progressing more and continuing with the exercises she has recommended, including lots of stretching. Dr. Bates definitely has a recommendation from me.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Abundant Life Chiro since 2017. The staff and Doctor are highly professional and extremely knowledgeable. The Nutrition Response Testing offered there has introduced life altering benefits countless times. I suffer from osteoarthritis and couldn’t open a car door with my right hand back in 2017. Six months after following the plan, my grip strength went from 15psi to 85psi. I’ve had countless other nagging issues stemming from wheat, soy, gluten, sugar and corn. While eliminating those from my diet was difficult, doing so has shown me the power of how your body can heal itself once it has the trigger foods removed and whole food supplements incorporated. While this is not the standard course, it works! Fantastic experience: I came to Dr. Bates in late spring because I was dealing with vertigo, and felt there was a connection with my neck. She was able to help me with the vertigo, so much more. After about a month of treatments, she did a muscle test to determine why I felt depleted. It was determined that I had adrenal fatigue, and she prescribed the supplement that I now take 3 times a day. I am a Yoga teacher and I have a very active lifestyle. I continue to do the maintenance plan every 3 weeks. Coming to see Dr. Bates has changed the way I move and feel, she has raised my quality of life. Fantastic experience: I had discomfort in my ear for months before it was diagnosed as TMJ. After trying home remedies for 6 weeks with very little change, I decided to try Abundant Life Chiropractic. After just one adjustment, there was noticeable improvement. Fantastic experience: I went in for low back pain and a stiff neck. I’m 30 years old, fairly active, and it was hard getting out of bed in the morning. After a few weeks of seeing Dr. Bates, I was able to get out of bed without any pain. I also suffered from chronic ankle pain and weakness for almost 5 years after severely spraining my ankle in 2017 and re-injuring it throughout the years. Dr. Bates was able to make adjustments and offer physical therapy that helped with the pain and weakness. I’m now able to squat and run again with little to no pain. I definitely recommend Abundant Life Chiropractic to those suffering for back and neck pain. I was skeptical of the less invasive activator method because I was used to Manuel adjustments and hearing/feeling the crack, but this worked just as well for me.

Now that I’m old enough to have my own health insurance, I want to be intentional about taking care of my own health & wellness. Fantastic experience: I was experiencing back problems and my lower left calf had some extreme pain at times when walking. I could hardly do anything due to the pain I was observing. However, I saw Dr. Bates at church and remembered she was a chiropractor. So I talked to her about my situation and made an appointment. Fantastic experience: I've been going to ALC for a little over a year now. I started with pretty bad low & mid back pain. Dr Bates helped me with stretches, exercises, and of course adjustments. Over the course of the original treatment I was continually feeling improvement from the pain in my back. For a while now I've been in the continuing care portion where I go roughly once a month for a checkup/adjustment and it's really helped keep my back pain from slim to none.

Fantastic experience: I had been having trouble for years, walking long distances or standing for a long time. Leg Pain and back stiffness would increase to the point of my stopping and or stretching then continuing. A lady at church was talking to me and mentioned Sciatic nerve pain, she referred me to Dr. Susan Bates and Abundant Life Chiropractic. First visit was free or if not covered $20.....SURE I'll try it. I had never been to a chiropractor, Dr. Susan did a detailed evaluation, turns out I had several problems. I agreed to the treatment plan over 9 weeks, tested every 3, and purchased the suggested orthotics to even my legs/arches. I am now in 'maintenence' mode and tuning up other things as needed. The pain is gone my back doesn't bother me, I can walk without problem. Dr. Susan Bates did an awesome job! You need to do your work too! She gives you excercises to strengthen your body, but also daily tips for health. The right way to get in and out of a car, the right way to stand up from sitting, how to sit on the floor correctly and men move your wallet to your front pocket! I'm very pleased with my treatment here, even today with Covid, plans are in place to keep you safe when you come in. Fantastic experience: I met Dr. Bates about nine years ago and was living with both back and neck pain. I thought this was a normal part of life. Initially, because I lived with these issues so long, Dr. Bates needed to see me every week to slowly get my body back in alignment. What a difference. I'm able to work more efficiently, sleep better and have become active again. Now I see her once every four weeks to keep myself maintained. In hindsight, I should have done this a long time ago. Fantastic experience: Went to Dr. Bates not hardly being able to move and in severe pain because I did something to my lower back. I could not sit down on firm chairs or chairs without arms to help push myself up and I was hardly sleeping because I could not get comfortable. I had to take very small steps when walking because of the pain in my lower back. Within a few visits, I was able to walk normal and had a lot less pain.

Negative experience: Abundant Life Chiropractic takes down bad reviews. Don’t trust the them!

Fantastic experience: I came to Dr Bates with lower back and neck pain. Dr Bates non invasive treatment is fantastic I feel so much better. She has a unique chiropractic care that made me feel better each time I walked out of the office. Now that I am in maintenance and with the home exercises I can now do things that I couldn't do before coming here. If you need or want to go to a chiropractor Dr Bates is highly recommended. You wont be sorry!

Fantastic experience: I started seeing Dr. Bates due to some pain in my shoulder area and lower back. It would come and go and landed me in the ER on Christmas Eve. Dr. Bates has been adjusting me weekly, teaching me exercises to build my core, and giving me helpful tips to aid with digestion. She truly cares about ones overall wellness and health. She is very professional and values your time. Since I have been going I am stronger, pain free and my digestion is great and I'm sleeping better at night. Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Dr. Bates for a few months now. I was a little apprehensive at first being that this is my first time receiving chiropractic care. I had a persistent burning pain in my upper back and neck area that has for the most part completely resolved through my initial treatment plan. I highly recommend Dr. Bates. She is very perfessional and takes the time to inform her patients. I’ve never felt rushed. And I feel much better than I did without her care.

Fantastic experience: While pregnant I was experiencing severe lower back and hip pain that was causing me to lose sleep. Since I was pregnant I could not have manual adjustments. I found Abundant Life Chiropractic through my health insurance provider. Since they use an Activator tool for adjustments I could receive treatment while pregnant. I no longer experience any pain, I was able to sleep without pain after starting treatment and enjoy the remainder of my pregnancy.

Positive experience: Not as good as my new chiropractor with unlocking my neck, but ok for maintenance.

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Dr. Bates for well over a year now. She's been able to help me relieve some aches and pains I had in my neck and lower back. She was even able to get me realigned after a fall down the stairs, early in my treatment plan. I can feel a huge difference in how I stand and how I feel on a daily basis. I no longer have daily pains, in fact, pain is very rare these days. Dr. Bates has also helped me nutritionally, make huge progress on sleep, fatigue, and overall well-being. Adding the nutritional component has also helped my chiropractic adjustments as well. Dr. Bates uses the latest and greatest technologies and is gifted in her craft!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this doc! I had been experiencing daily excruciating back pain and had tried PT and TENS units and heating pads and ice packs and pain meds and everything for over a year. my xrays revealed lumbar and thoracic scoliosis of unknown origin (because for some reason my muscles were actually PULLING by spine out of whack). my PCP and everyone had no help for me. next step was a back surgeon. so, I was so desperate and in the mindset of being willing to try ANYTHING. so, I looked up local chiropractors on my insurances website and found this one really close to me. I was very nervous about all the invasive pulling and cracking you hear they do. but this wonderful doctor has an AMAZING non-invasive treatment. I was very skeptical about it at the start. im a nurse and had my doubts about what seemed to be some new age kind of crap. but OMG! after one treatment I literally cried on the way home! I was pain free for the first time in over a year! now, that wont stay like that at first. she develops personalized treatment plan that you really have to take the time to follow. u wont get better without sticking to it. but, when u do....wow...just wow. she does some physical therapy type stuff in your individual treatment plan as well. she is just so friendly and calm and all of the other patients are really nice (I think anyone who is there is so happy with their getting better that when u walk in, u just automatically are in a better mood). her office person (Heidi, I think is her name) is very detailed and thorough and goes over the money and insurance very clearly and is very helpful. I cant recommend this place any higher. *here's hoping for continued spine health and improvement*

Fantastic experience: Google insists on publishing this under my husband's name. He also goes to Abundant Life Chiropractic, but he is not the one writing this. I first went to Abundant Life Chiropractic because of pain in my lower back while standing or sitting for long periods of time. I figured I was doomed to have this since I have a degree of scoliosis and have known for years that my right hip was higher than my left. I attended Dr. Bates' Open House and had the free My-O-Vision screening. Soon after, I started therapy. She uses an Activator, and as her web site states, it is "gentle and effective." Dr. Bates has been able to readjust what was misaligned on my back, neck, and shoulder. I've always felt better after my appointments, and my back pain is much less frequent.
