Solid Fitness is a locally owned and operated semi-private personal training studio in the Denver Tech Center.
With over 15 years of experience, Joshua Conn specializes in injury prevention, pre/post rehab, weight loss, pain management and sports performance. Every program is targeted to your unique movement patterns in order to reach your individual fitness and weight loss goals.
Many of our clients have dealt with chronic or acute pain from previous sports injuries or from the movements of life (sitting at a desk, holding a heavy purse or child, etc). which can create faulty movement patterns. Joshua's understanding of how the body is supposed to work allows him to be able to correct many of these imbalanced movement patterns.

Fantastic experience: Christine is a great trainer and is so knowledgeable about women’s bodies and working out to build strength while postpartum. She has great energy and amazing sense of humor! This is the first time I have wanted to stick with a workout routine since having kids over 10 years ago! The gym is great! While it is a smaller gym it is super clean with plenty of equipment for personal training. It’s also centrally located and easy to get to from I25.
Fantastic experience: I've been training with Christine for a few months now, and I can't recommend her enough! She's not only incredibly knowledgeable and motivating, but also so fun to talk to that our sessions fly by. I actually look forward to working out because she brings such great energy and conversation. She somehow makes the whole experience enjoyable. More importantly, Christine shows me how to do each and every exercise, making sure I have correct form and feel it in the right places.

Fantastic experience: Josh Conn, of Solid Fitness, is a fantastic personal trainer, and I cannot recommend him highly enough! When I first started working with Josh, I was struggling to regain strength and confidence after an injury, and even though I had been medically cleared, training on my own was simply not working. Josh listened attentively to my fitness goals, did an initial assessment to identify imbalances in my body mechanics and mobility and provided me with corrective exercises to address them. He creates individualized and challenging workouts utilizing functional movement exercises that have enabled me to steadily, and safely, progress in my strength building and overall fitness goals. Josh is a wealth of information, and he even took the time to teach me some rehab and recovery techniques that I now use after strenuous workouts and to help keep old injuries from flaring up. I train with Josh several times a week and have made more progress in a couple of months working with him than I had on my own over the previous six months. I always look forward to our training sessions. The workouts are never boring, and the conversation is always engaging. (Thanks for telling me fun stories to keep me entertained, Josh!) Josh is an easygoing, encouraging and extremely knowledgeable trainer who has not only helped me improve my overall health and fitness, but has also helped me regain confidence in myself and my physical abilities. Fantastic experience: I’ve been working with Josh for a couple of months now and definitely have seen significant improvements to my health. The unique aspect of Josh’s approach to fitness is by analyzing how your unique body is functioning and designing exercise to target and strengthen those areas. As someone who sits a lot for work, Josh has not only helped strengthen my core but also address proper mental motor firing.(I’m sure there is a more technical description but I don’t know it) Lastly and this is probably one of my favorite things about working with Josh is his willingness to accommodate my crazy work/life schedule. Fantastic experience: I've known Josh for about 6 years. Over that time he's taught me several ways to help build my agility, strength, athleticism, and focus to accomplish my goals. I've worked with him to train for a 10k, 10 mile, half marathon, and 50k trail runs. And currently, working to do my first triathlon later this year. His fitness and health knowledge has only solidified my confidence in his ability to work with most anyone's skill level. He's consistent, supportive and focused to helping you reach your goals. I would recommend working with Josh, even if you're still 'shopping' for a trainer. He'll spend the necessary amount of time to learn where you're at and where you want to go. Fantastic experience: If you want personally tailored, one on one training with a trainer who really gets to know you, you need to be training with Josh Conn at Solid Fitness. Josh is Solid Fitness - you train with him each and every time. Josh really invests his time in figuring out what you want and what your body needs for overall healthy movement and then creates a plan that he regularly modifies to keep things interesting. Josh identified several movement and flexibility issues and gave me correctives to start every workout with him and at home. In the studio, he’d watch over my corrective exercises and then guide me through a workout routine that was unique every single time. Josh would push me to my limit, which is exactly what I needed. On top of all this, Josh is great to talk to throughout each session. I often looked forward to just talking to him as much as working out. Pricing at Solid Fitness is incredibly affordable and getting on a schedule that worked with my work and other obligations was super easy. I absolutely recommend Josh and Solid Fitness if you’re serious about getting whole body healthy.

Before you dive into training, he does an initial assessment to see whether any corrective exercises are needed to help prevent injury/pain both during workouts and in every day life. He tailors the workouts so they’re consistently challenging, but they’re also never boring. I’ve been working with Josh for over a year, and I’m definitely at my strongest. He’s also a wealth of knowledge and a great resource if you’re looking to complete a triathlon or other event. Every work out is different, which I really appreciate! Rachel is extremely knowledgeable in all areas of fitness, including nutrition. If you are looking for something innovative, fun and challenging...she's your girl! I would also like to add that Solid Fitness is an all around great gym that is safe, private and clean. Fantastic experience: I came to Josh with hip pain from running and he was able to give me a selection of corrective exercises to help fix me up. Since then I have felt better than ever and ran a pain free half marathon. Josh tailors workouts to fit my needs and adjusts difficulty to consistently be challenging. Fantastic experience: Josh begins with an initial mobility assessment. By doing so, he can plan stretching and corrective exercises individualized to your needs. I can’t say how much this has helped the knee problems I originally came to Josh for. With this strong base, Josh creates workout plans that strengthen the whole body. Using body weight or other tools, Josh’s workouts are fun and go by quickly. His positive, enthusiastic attitude helps you work your way through a challenging session. If a modification is needed, Josh is quick to make it. Overall, I am pleased with the level of expertise, energy, and workout space that Josh provides.

Fantastic experience: I have worked with several personal trainers over my life time and Josh is the absolute BEST! Josh conducts and initial assessment to understand your goals, your current mobility level, past/current injuries and your overall eating and nutritional habits. This initial assessment helps Josh build a unique workout program focused on your overall health, fitness and well being. Over the past 3+ years of working with Josh, he has helped me to improve my fitness level but more importantly, he has helped me improve my mobility and decrease pain through corrective exercises. Fantastic experience: I am not new to working out as I played basketball in high school and college, which ultimately kept me very active and in shape. I had taken a pretty good break from working out before starting up with josh. I wasn’t expecting to be challenged as much or even more than I was in high school and college. His workouts are awesome and effective for any person. I definitely recommend signing up with josh.

Fantastic experience: I’ve never done Personal Training and working with Josh was a great first experience. I learned a lot in the first month about ways I can increase my own movement and maintain a healthy diet. I carry these things into my daily habits and I feel so much more confident then I did when I started.
Fantastic experience: Josh is the best trainer we've ever had. My mom is a runner and she injured her knee pretty badly to the point that she couldn't run anymore. She sought help from specialists but none of them helped. Ever since we found Josh she has been able to run, and her knees feel much better.

Fantastic experience: My 13 year old highly-competitive hockey player asked for off ice training to help optimize her performance on the ice. Josh has extensive experience with sport specific and injury prevention training - and after some preliminary testing, he helped identify specific areas to be balanced/improved in order to keep her strong and safe on the ice. He's great at explaining how the exercises translate and help her for hockey and she really enjoys her weekly visits. From my daughter: "I love working with Josh! He has really helped me feel stronger and become a better athlete."
Fantastic experience: Great space to get individualized personal training. There are a variety of personal trainers that you can pick from to best fit your needs. The specialities run the range of weight loss, conditioning, to working with the special needs population. So whether you need to lose a few pounds, a strong athlete looking to improve their skills or a child with special needs that needs to improve balance and function. The solid fitness gym is the perfect place. Love the atmosphere and the trainers... pass it on!
Fantastic experience: I came to Josh with the goal of adding muscle without sacrificing endurance ability. With Josh, you get a super personable, fad-free expert who gets you exactly where you want to go. Training with Josh has involved a combination of corrective exercises which rectify any underlying weaknesses, and ever-changing workouts that are tailored to your personal goals. It’s a process that is both very efficient and highly effective. I’ve been a lifelong runner, and after just a few months I noticed that my lower back wasn’t stiffening up post-run, the way it typically did. There’s also now a level of definition that I haven’t seen since I was a teenage gymnast. The facility is also a great pandemic workout alternative - no more going into a huge gym, awkwardly dodging fellow patrons and trying to guess which pieces of equipment have been thoroughly wiped down.
Fantastic experience: I was referred to Josh after receiving treatment from rupturing 3 discs in my lower back. I knew I needed some type of rehab but didn't know where to begin. Josh did a movement assessment with me and gave me a series of corrective exercises to do at home, in addition to developing a plan of strength-building exercises when I would work with him at the gym. This injury caused an amazing amount of pain and I had been nervous about what was in store for me to get stronger. Any time we would do a new exercise, Josh would be sure to remind me to tell him if anything didn't feel right or if I felt any new pain. This was very reassuring for me. After two months of seeing him twice a week, along with my corrective exercises routine daily, I am happy to say my back feels better than it has in years!
Fantastic experience: Came to Joshua after a recommendation for tightness in my shoulder, and essentially over activation on the entire right side of my body. Performed a functional movement assessment and sent me home with corrective exercises. I’ve seen immediate results from the recommendations he gave and his team. Feeling good never felt so good.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Josh. I have been working with him for about 6 months and while the initial results were slow to be seen they are really kicking in now. Josh had to ease me back into exercise after a long period of inactivity after surgery - so he know's his stuff. He always keeps the exercises varied and interesting, and is good for some banter and a joke but is also respectful if you are more of the quiet type and just want to work out under his supervision. As that shoe company says - Just Do It - you won't be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I've worked with Josh at Solid Fitness for 4 years now. Over that time, he has varied the workout routines to both increase my fitness level but also to keep it interesting. He's not only a talented trainer, he has a positive personality who's great to be around.
Fantastic experience: First off, this is probably the 2nd or 3rd review I’ve ever done in my life but I felt compelled to let others know what an amazing experience it’s been working out with Josh the past few months at Solid Fitness. When I first approached Josh at Solid Fitness, I had not worked out in about a year and was not in good shape both physically and mentally. For the past 3 years, I’ve jumped around from gym memberships to boxing memberships to HIIT memberships and I always seemed to burn out within a month. What Josh offers is nothing I’ve ever seen before. His workouts are constantly changing and is such a good inspiration to be the best you can be. Josh is a fun, energetic, patient, funny and highly motivating personal trainer. This is honestly the first time I can remember ever looking forward to my workouts (even after vacations). Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Having the opportunity to work with Josh was not only beneficial in regards to fitness training, but Josh educated me to better understand my current level of fitness. After being tested through the Functional Movement Screen, Josh helped me understand the strengths and the weaknesses I demonstrated. After that Josh walked me through specific movements to immediately start strengthening my underlying weaknesses. It was incredible to receive feedback and a guided warm up and exercise specific to my demonstrated abilities. It really says a lot about the knowledge and immediate applicability Josh brings to the table as a well versed personal trainer. Fantastic experience: Josh is the best! I’m new to personal training and just really want to work on losing weight and getting toned. Josh has been so easy and fun to work with. He keeps me entertained while I’m working hard with jokes and fun stories. I never thought I’d be one of those people who likes to work out, I always viewed it as a means to an end. Working with Josh had also given me the confidence to start Barre classes as well - something I was always too intimidated to try. The private gym is also great, I never have to feel silly or worry about what other people are thinking. Thanks Josh - looking forward to all our future sessions!
Fantastic experience: Solid Fitness is an awesome facility conveniently located in the Tech Center with easy access to I25. The owner, Josh, will treat your time just as valuable as you do. I never feel intimidated coming into the studio. All the other professionals that work there, including the owner, make it a fun and positive atmosphere. I highly recommend this studio to anyone that wants to take their fitness and health to the next level. There is also massage on-site, so that’s an added bonus!
Fantastic experience: As a personal trainer myself, Solid Fitness provides everything I need to execute my client’s sessions with the proper equipment. Although the studio is smaller than your average gym, it still has a wide variety of equipment and is a great space to workout in. Even the atmosphere inside the gym promotes a positive work environment because all of the equipment is so clean and organized, and I love the private setting of it for my clients and I. It is also great to be working with someone like Josh with such extensive knowledge of the fitness industry, that way I can always learn from one of the best professionals on how to be a better trainer myself. Fantastic experience: When my Spartan race team was considering all the options to train for our race, we ultimately settled on doing boot camp training sessions at Solid Fitness. This was definitely the right choice! We worked with Josh throughout several sessions doing a mixture of HIIT-type workouts and endurance. Everyone thought this was super helpful and Josh was even able to setup some obstacles that were really close to what we had to do in the Spartan race. The awesome training we received spoke for itself as we all successfully finished the Spartan BEAST! I would definitely come back to Solid Fitness to train for future races.

Fantastic experience: Been working out with Josh for a the last two months, he is an absolute rock star. I am typically bored with workout and am never confident that I am doing the right exercises or that I am doing them properly. Josh continuously changes workouts so they don't get boring and corrects my form. I can honestly say I have felt a difference all the way around since starting training with Josh. Personal trainers are never cheap but Josh is worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: Josh and Solid Fitness are as good as it gets. Great location off of 1-25 and Arapahoe Rd. right by the DTC in a private-studio setting. I have done a number of boot camp sessions with Josh. He was awesome about mixing up our work outs every week, keeping them challenging, interesting and fun. Josh isn't your normal trainer. He really focuses on your individual fitness needs as well as your overall health, nutrition and wellness goals. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Josh and Solid Fitness to any of my friends.
Fantastic experience: I decided to work with a personal trainer due to an injury history that prevented me from working out on a regular basis. Josh has helped me find exercises that change my movement patterns and strengthen areas that have not been working correctly. The workouts are challenging and each session Josh changes the exercises so no two workouts are alike. Through three sessions with Josh I have experienced great workouts with no pain in my IT Band and knee, which has been my greatest trouble spot for several years. I look forward to working with Josh further and developing a program that will keep me working out without injury.

Fantastic experience: Josh is an incredibly knowledgeable trainer, well above what most trainers know. That is very impressive to me as a Physical Therapist and I feel very comfortable sending my patients to him because of his expertise. Even when my patients are dealing with very complicated issues causing them pain or injuries, I know he will take great care of them!
Fantastic experience: I have attended two seminars at Solid Fitness. The sessions are always held in the evening which is convenient to my work schedule. Both were highly informative, engaging, interactive and fun! I am now highly motivated to improve myself in at least three health areas - nutrition, physical and mental. Fantastic experience: I have been working with Joshua for months and I feel stronger every week! The personal training has been the perfect addition to my triathlon training schedule. I can feel a noticeable improvement in my swimming and running technique! Joshua is a trainer to the core - he took one look at my lunges and asked if I had sustained injures to my right pelvis...he was scary accurate! Fantastic experience: Solid Fitness has been a massive help in terms of providing me with the right kind of direction I needed to make healthier, more informed nutritional choices - and to think about how full body, resistance training as a form of exercise can help lead to a healthier lifestyle and stronger body. Fantastic experience: I have worked with Josh at the Solid Fitness studio since February. My health and fitness goal was to get back in athletic shape for my sister’s wedding in May. In October, I realized I needed to make lifestyle changes in terms of fitness and healthy eating. I have not worked out since high school 11 years ago. I joined OrangeTheory Fitness (OTF), but I felt lost in the weight room. I wanted a trainer to help me stay accountable in my fitness goals and confidence with the weights. At my first consultation, Josh greeted me with a smile, positive attitude, and energy. He listened to my fitness goals and discussed ways he can help me by supporting his reasons with credible and well-researched resources. He was very insistent to take one step at a time with health and fitness goals instead of making multiple changes at the same time. Josh is professional and passionate about his work and his life. He is very personable, has a sense of humor, and he is very easy to talk with. He is prepared for every session and he makes sure I am completing the exercises correctly. He is also willingly to make changes if a certain exercise is too difficult for my non-dominant side. He focuses on full body moments, balance, and stability. He has found a balance of encouraging, but also challenging me at every session. Since working out with Josh, I have noticed a change in my appearance by fitting into my pants, which used to be very tight and snug. While weight loss was not my goal, I went down a pant and shirt size as a result of all my hard work. I also feel more balanced between my right and left side of my body. Working with Josh, I have found myself to be in a better mood, have more energy, and have more confidence in other areas of my life. Josh is a wonderful human being and I'm beyond grateful for how he has helped me with my health and fitness goals!

Fantastic experience: Great studio with everything you need and more! Josh is an excellent trainer, and a very genuine person. He’ll push you to be your best at each session! He’s very funny and creates a fun atmosphere. I love that in addition to great personal training, you can also take advantage of the the Massage Therapist, Nutritionist, and Physical Therapist on site. Josh has created an outstanding “Wellness Hut.”

Fantastic experience: My husband has been going to Mark for fitness training for over 4 months now. I just started training with Mark, along with my husband, at the beginning of January. In the 1 month of training, I have gained a TON of strength! Mark assesses how my body moves and the right exercises for me. This is not a one size fits all training, and instead is very specific to each individual. I cannot be happier with the results thus far. The studio is not intimidating and super clean. I cannot say enough about my experience, other than take the leap! Invest in yourself. Believe in yourself. Fantastic experience: I've been working out weekly with Josh for over 5 years now, and it's been an exceptional experience. I'm 48 and am pretty active when it comes to mountain sports and outdoor activities, but I have a desk job and really needed guidance around holistic full-body workouts to increase strength and flexibility. Josh is fantastic all the way around, and where he really excels is how he crafts a workout routine for more complicated health situations- he can modify a workout on the fly if I'm dealing with an injury or something like lower back pain. He clearly understands the ins and outs of body mechanics and how to adjust workouts for maximum effectiveness and minimizing risk of injury. Fantastic experience: I have, over the past 45 years worked with a large number of professional trainers, and this past experience with these trainers, have given me an insight of what works and what doesn't. I started training with Josh 15 months ago and over that time I can tell you that Josh is the best trainer and coach I have ever experienced. Not once have i had an injury from working with Josh, and he has pushed me to maximize my fitness level. I'm 76 and I do have past injury issues such as shoulder knee and lower back, when starting with Josh we discussed how to train and ways to improve performance of these different problems. My lower back is stronger and I now have no pain, my right shoulder is stronger and is more flexible, while my knee is impacted we train very hard without enduring any pain in these areas. Josh is an excellent trainer and coach, that will push you to maximize your overall fitness

I couldn't work out and didn't find boring, physical therapy useful. I've continued to workout with Josh after. Fantastic experience: I started seeing Josh to help me rehab shoulder injury from a lifetime of playing baseball. At the same time, I had back and leg problems from running 15 miles a week. Josh and I talked and he came up with a plan. In a few months I was one hundred percent for the first time in years. Then we worked on a plan. I wanted to do the Tough Mudder and I wanted to get into the best shape of my life. Six months later I was in half marathon shape, and stronger and more flexible that I’d ever been in my life. I’ve been around sports my entire life. My brother and sister are both athletes. My brother is an elite coach, my sister played college softball and I played college baseball. I’ve been around trainers since high school and there is nothing like what you get with Josh Conn. He understands the body as well as a PT. He gets nutrition and training as well as anyone I’ve ever been around. It’s not just one workout for everyone. He wants to know – what are you training for? What are your goals? Do you want to look good at the beach? Do you want to be healthy? I still play baseball so once my injuries healed we came up with a plan of functional workouts specific to help me throw and swing a bat. If I’d known Josh in college who knows what would have happened. You can line up trainers and talk to them for a month straight. You won’t find one with his knowledge and expertise. Fantastic experience: I'm a 50 year old woman who has been working out at the gym doing normal strength training since 2010. I started moving into the big boy weights and trying to move myself forward. At some point, I started having shoulder pain. It progressed to the point of seeing a chiropractor, and physical therapy. Neither helped. My workouts were very unsatisfying and I was very discouraged. A friend recommended that I see Joshua Conn. Josh listened to me, my goals and frustrations. He assessed my mobility, and started working on my shoulder right away. Literally, within the first month my shoulder pain had almost disappeared. I've been with Josh for 6 months or so, and I love the workouts we do. I can see the change in my body, and I LIKE it! He's a pleasure to work with, knows his stuff, very educated and creative. Fantastic experience: I've been visiting Josh at Solid Fitness for two years now and it is easily my favorite part of the week! Following a bad ankle break, I got wildly off track from my typical workout routine (which I now realize was pretty boring). Once I was stable enough to start working out again, I wanted to try something new to jump start my recovery. After a little looking around, I found Josh's group at Solid Fitness offered the perfect blend of motivation and personal attention. The customized warm-ups and workouts didn't put any stress on my weaker ankle and Josh designed exercises that complemented my physical therapist's recommendations perfectly. Each day's routine is different and keeps me excited to come back and mix-up the workouts! The occasional deck of cards day always keep me on my toes! The studio is a private, comfortable space with every piece of equipment you could possibly need. I'm back on track, stronger than before the break, and have added a whole new element to my typical workout. Wish I had found this place years ago!!!

Fantastic experience: Josh is the best trainer I've ever had! His attention to my individual needs is what really makes him stand out. He's worked through daily-life-induced ankle pain, knee pain and elbow pain, all without me having to go to the doctor. He's also introduced me to a new way of eating and I've lost a lot of weight! He is pretty funny too, usually unintentionally, so workouts include laughing (I've never said that before!). Josh is highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I started with Josh @ Solid Fitness about 3 months ago. I was trying to get back on track from two knee surgeries within 10 months of each other. My knees were weak, unstable, and sore. I had gained weight and was struggling finding exercises that would help me recover and be healthier. I searched “injury rehabilitation personal trainer” on the web and Josh fit the description. First visit, Josh listened to my concerns regarding the stability of my knees and did an in-depth evaluation, identifying my capabilities. He implemented ‘corrective exercises’ in addition to a regular training session. Within 3 months, my knees are: bending straight, are noticeably stronger, and they no longer ache when I jump, run, squat, etc. My percentage of body fat has decreased and overall, I feel great! Josh pushes my threshold to the limits and does it in a safe reassuring manner. Excellent trainer & excellent methods.
