Fusion Combat Training Center– Krav Maga, Jiu Jitsu, & Muay Thai

Fantastic experience: Both of our boys have been going to Fusion Combat for over a year. Jesse does a great job of breaking down the moves so that kids of all age can learn but remain challenged. We have seen so much growth in our boy's discipline and skill. Most importantly, they keep wanting to come back as they have so much fun!

Fantastic experience: I found Fusion Combat Training Center as it was close to both my work & home, and I’m glad to have been in this space for almost four months now. For context, my older brother and I trained Mixed Martial Arts for about 3-5 years in our youth, and hadn’t tapped back in for a long time. When I found Fusion Combat, I emailed the address on the website and was then directed to attend a first-time Friday session, which are hosted every Friday! While I ‘knew’ the foundations and core principles of martial arts, I was swiftly reminded the value and importance of this space. Jesse, the owner was very concise, clear, and direct in how/why he runs Fusion Combat. That for me, was a huuuuge green flag! Communication is key, and hearing how important it meant to him, really made the space feel more welcoming and intriguing. I participated in his ‘three free classes’ which are offered after the introduction session. Caveat being those classes have to be in a 10-business day window from the intro session. I think this is a great way to keep people engaged and I actually went the next day, for the Saturday morning session. I was introduced to Lions Den, an accompanying gym company and this space has a program incentive, where if you’re involved in multiple programs, you can get 20% off of each program! I have found myself in this space at least 4 times/week, with two of them being with Fusion Combat. I’ve loved getting back into the art form of martial arts, and my brother actually signed up too! I’m looking forward to renewing my membership with Fusion Combat, after my 6-month contract expires!

Fantastic experience: Would give Fusion and Jesse 10-stars! Both my wife and i started Fusion and clearly Jesse has given great thought to the process of training individuals of all abilities self-defense skills. I would encourage everyone of any fitness level to try fusion. Jesse starts with an intro session on a Saturday and then if you're interested, he provides an additional 3 sessions. All 4 of those are free of charge. This is an excellent way to see how the process works and gain a comfort level. While it's early in our journey, every training session has positive outcomes. Super excited about learning more with Jesse!

Fantastic experience: Fusion Combat intentionally starts with the basics and builds a set of self-defense skills block by block-- which has been perfect for me since I have NEVER taken a self-defense class or even a martial arts class in my life. Our instructor, Jesse, carefully combines skills training with situational awareness and self-awareness. I would encourage anyone who is looking to add real skills to the mental puzzles we all rehearse ("What would I do, right now, if THIS HAPPENED?") to test drive the training.

Fantastic experience: I had been wanting to take self defense classes for so long before I started at fusion last year. I was held back by the concern that I wouldn't be able to find a place where I could work with other adult beginners, and feel comfortable as someone who is shy, especially in unfamiliar group settings where you have to get in close contact with strangers. I tried a jiu jitsu class elsewhere and felt out of place among more experienced people and also wanted something more practical and applicable in a self defense scenario. Fusion Combat Training Center was the answer! Jesse has structured the classes in such a way that the skills build on each other and you can get comfortable and work your way up in a progression that makes sense. He makes everyone feel welcome. He explains the reasoning behind decisions and techniques in a way that allows you to extrapolate to any situation. The other students have been nothing but positive and respectful. If you're on the fence, take this as your sign to try it out!

Having trained Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu around the world, I can say it’s a privilege to be part of such an incredible team. Coach Garcia goes beyond technical training, taking care of the mental aspects and fostering an environment where everyone feels comfortable and safe. His professionalism and respect make training here an exceptional experience.

Fantastic experience: Having attended multiple martial arts schools throughout my lifetime, I would rank my almost 3-years experience at Fusion Combat Training Center in Denver as my favorite by far. The back-to-back three class curriculum fosters a great building block learning process beginning with Striking Concepts which incorporates multiple tools for self-defense (ie punches, kicks, hammer fist, elbows, knees, distance control, boxing/tactical defenses, etc) to Defense Concepts which I would describe the focus being more on learning to escape adverse or disadvantageous positions (ie chokes and head locks from all sides, ground defenses from mount/guard/side control) and finally Reflex Development which blends all the above where the focus is on refinement and technical details. The Striking classes are amazing cardio workouts and build confidence in learning how to correctly and effectively strike. The training environment is very accepting of all levels of student backgrounds, experiences, and ages with a healthy mix of competitiveness and safety especially when sparring at higher levels. I feel extremely grateful and fortunate to have incorporated Fusion Combat into my lifestyle which has truly changed my life physically, mentally and spiritually.

Jessie is very knowledgeable and makes the classes fun while also making sure everyone understands the techniques and the why behind those techniques. Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this school for a year now, and overall I have been very impressed with Fusion Combat. The instructor, Jessie, is very knowledgable, and a very good at teaching martial arts, It is obvious he actually wants his students to learn and grow as martial artists, and he runs his classes in a way to foster development for all students. The curriculum is well set up, and implemented nicely. There are many knowledgeable "students" (basically instructors) around at every class that always help, and the class sizes are never too big, so you will always receive the attention you need and pay for. I recommend this location highly.

Negative experience: Highly unprofessional customer service. Don't waste your time even contacting them. Not helpful at all. Calling to ask about basic pricing and service offering, the team was flabbergasted. It's shocking that a company can't even do the basics after multiple calls. Warning to management: your workforce is clearly disengaged and you are losing easy recurring revenue, not a winning strategy in this economy.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend this training facility enough (and I recommend it to basically everyone I meet)! You gain so much by taking classes at Fusion Combat: a helpful and kind community, dynamic workouts, comprehensive and specialized instruction, and a wealth of self-defense techniques that you can apply to real-life situations. Everyone in the community seems eager to learn and help each other grow. Jesse is an incredible coach who genuinely cares about helping students improve and remain safe in and outside of class. I was a little nervous to begin combat training classes as a woman with no experience, but it’s been one of the most empowering things I’ve done and consistently one of the best parts of my week. Fantastic experience: This is an equally great place for those with lots of experience and those with no experience! I joined more so for the muay Thai option, but learning KravMaga and jiu jitsu has made a very well rounded and real world application of all the skills being learned. The space is welcoming and I learn something new every class. Also the schedule of class offerings is very flexible and accommodating so it’s easy to go each week. Very happy to have found this place!

Fantastic experience: I joined January 2023 because Fusion Combat is one of very few places that provide Krav Mega training. I ended up loving the Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai training just as much. I wish I found this place years ago! One of the best investments in my mental and physical health. Fantastic experience: My sons (age 14 and 11) started taking classes and training at Fusion Combat Training Center over a year ago. We were looking for a dojo/studio that would teach self-defense with discipline and an emphasis on conflict avoidance. We were interested in multiple disciplines including grappling and striking so they would be best able to defend themselves in different situations. We looked at a number of other studios, including ones with multiple locations. Fusion Combat Training Center stood out above the rest with its small class sizes, and complete individual attention. From the beginning, coach Jesse Garcia involved parents in the training, with a focus on safety and technique. Each class includes a brief conversation emphasizing an aspect of character or responsibility. The small class sizes allow for individual instruction that enables kids to progress quickly with proper technique. The superb learning environment fosters both confidence in the students and healthy awareness of their peers. Although the gym does not have a flashy sign or large façade (it is found in the basement along with a yoga studio and gym), it is truly a great find! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: This is a very welcoming place. I went in with hesitation due to not being in great shape. Jessie took the time to talk me through all phases and I had my first class. I did not feel like the newbie and was treated with respect. I tried other martial arts facilities before, but day 1 I was paired with guys with much higher ranking and felt like a punching bag. This place starts everyone at the beginning and teaches step by step. Questions can be asked and no one leaves feeling embarrassed. For those who want to take it to the next level there are many classes and opportunities to furthur your education. Flexible days and class times and the fees are easy. Fantastic experience: The owner and head coach Jesse has a great personality and teaching style. He's very approachable and will take the time to give personalized feedback. The atmosphere at the gym is incredibly positive and helpful too, with any attitudes left at the door. I seriously haven't met anyone who isn't willing to help, or be patient with newcomers, or just isn't happy to be there. Being new to martial arts and a woman, I was intimidated with the prospect of going to a gym by myself especially when I didn't know of anyone who went there ahead of time. But there's a really good mix of men to women at the gym and with everyone being chill and super helpful even when classes are lopsided it doesn't feel uncomfortable at all. I just completed my 6th month there and I'm super stoked to do even more!

My Son (7) gained a lot of confidence and a will to face challenges head on after starting with coaches Jessie and Pedro. His classes were well sized and all the students get a great amount of personal attention and most importantly, encouragement! Fantastic experience: There aren't enough words to describe how much I respect and admire this business. I was the person that always had "look into self-defense classes" on my to-do list. Anytime I would try to look for classes they were always too intimidating and intense. Scheduling the introductory trial lesson with Jesse was the best thing I ever did. From the outset of talking to Jesse it's clear that this program is incredibly well thought-out and research based. Jesse walked me through the theory & philosophy behind the approach, gave me some hands-on practice, and answered any questions I had. Their approach strikes me as incredibly pragmatic and functional. This business also truly cares about their members' sense of safety and comfort. Jesse never tries to "convince" you to sign up for a membership -- he simply gives you all of the information you need to decide for yourself if this is something you want to pursue, and needless to say for me it's a no-brainer. I will happily be joining Fusion Combat's monthly training program this Fall. If you're on the fence or nervous about trying this out, based on my experience I would emphatically say "just make yourself go to the initial consult"-- you will be glad you did.

Fantastic experience: Update: I've been training for over a year now. Just got my first belt. The training continues to be top notch. I also enjoy working with normal people and not people that are so competitive that they cause injuries. I've been training here for 3 months now and love it. This is self defense, taught in a controlled manner from an experienced instructor. The lessons are broken down such that each piece builds on itself. You will feel more confident that should the need arise, you can get yourself out of a bad situation. It's not cardio kickboxing. you won't always leave pouring sweat. Sometimes it's important to slow down and focus on technique and safety for both you and your partner. After the boxing classes though I can barely lift my arms.

Fantastic experience: Fusion Combat intro classes are an excellent way to learn self-defense techniques in a safe, supportive environment. Jesse is clearly an expert, but breaks down techniques so that even the most awkward of beginners (like myself!) are able to learn. If you are in the area and considering giving a class a try, I highly recommend you do it! I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to learn there.

To be more wordy: fabulous intro and obviously well thought out curriculum, focusing on a little 'love triangle' of styles to bring you up to speed on personal defense and overall discipline of body. Fantastic experience: The best decision I made was to take the first step to see what this is all about. Short story - some history with martial arts. In comparison to Fusion, it was really more like a kick boxing class. A little older so the '70's body and skills have long since resigned. With Fusion, you will find movement with a purpose and the stepping stones to grow physically and mentally. It will build coordination, physical fitness and confidence. You will find professionalism and fun with everyone working toward the same goals and supporting each other along the way. That only comes from great leadership. If my schedule would allow, I would be there daily! I encourage everyone to check out Fusion. It is a place that I have sought for a long time. Simply put, It Fits!

Fantastic experience: I was training 4 times a month and now changed it to 12. The class is awesome, and I learn new martial arts techniques each week. Fantastic experience: This is the best place I have ever trained Krav Maga at, hands down without a doubt. There is no place better in Denver. I have made the best friends, lost 30lbs.., and feel like I am in the best shape of my life. The instructors here are amazing! If you want to learn real Krav Maga you don't need to come here, you HAVE to come here. If you want to feel welcomed by some of the nicest people I've ever met you have to come here. Regardless of your fitness level or understanding of self-defense, your prior injuries, your fears about venturing into something you have never done before...this place is where you have to go. I have made some of the best friends I have ever had here and again the instructors are just really top notch, they know what they are doing, they know how to teach, and they genuinely care about the students who attend classes here. How many gyms have you gone to where the owners know who you are and acknowledge you by name? I would say not many. So, if your New Year’s resolution is to get into the best shape of your life while learning how to defend yourself, then come in for a class. One class is all you will need to know that you were meant to practice Krav Maga and Jiu Jitsu, and you were meant to do it at Fusion!!!!!

Fantastic experience: When first looking for martial arts classes I tried out Fusion Combat as well as a few other places. In the end I decided to sign up with Fusion Combat and I haven't regretted it since! I've been training for over two years now and I still enjoy coming to class every week. I really like that they have a well thought out diverse curriculum of Krav Maga, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Jiu Jitsu. The facility is top notch and in a great location in DTC. One other really great aspect of Fusion Combat is the community of people that they've developed. At Fusion Combat I've gotten to make some great friends, learn self defense and get in the best shape I've ever been. I highly recommend training here. Update June 2020: I greatly appreciate the health precautions and practices put in place since the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the initial stay at home orders Fusion Combat has provided access to online resources so that we would continue training at home. These included online video instructions that are top notch and informative. Once the they were able to open up again they allowed limited sized classes where each person has their own space. After class everything is cleaned and disinfected so I feel comfortable continuing my training during these times.

Fantastic experience: I've been training at Fusion Combat since they opened and even after a few years this is still a great place to train. The curriculum of Krav Maga, Muay Thai, boxing, and Brazilian jiu jitsu is fantastic. There is ample opportunity for everyone of all skill levels. We have a great community of students that are a pleasure to train with. I look forward to every opportunity I have here. Jesse is a knowledgeable and passionate instructor, he's a good communicator and knows how to reach people across a broad spectrum. Fantastic experience: I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Fusion Combat Training center. I have trained here since January and learned so much more than I expected. Throughout the Pandemic, the gym has continued to put out content for at home training. Now that the restrictions on social distancing are being lowered and we are able to train in person, I have felt very safe while working out in this environment. As a healthcare provider, I understand the need for and the proper steps to be taken to minimize the risk of infection. Fusion Combat Training center has gone above and beyond to make the gym a clean and safe place during this trying time.

As a medical professional, I am extremely impressed of the precautions they are taking to protect everyone involved at the facility. I was looking for a gym to train and luckily came across Fusion Combat. The entire class gets a full work out while learning technique to defend themselves properly. The classes are a mix of Krav Maga and Jui Jitsu. This style makes you feel prepared for real life scenarios. Ben and Jesse (trainers) make every lesson meaningful and fun. It is a good community of people and I highly recommend training here!

Fantastic experience: Fusion combat training is a great place for kids to learn a material art. Jesse is a great instructor that keeps the kids engaged while making sure that they are learning the proper techniques. The kids learn a mixture of jiu jujitsu and other striking techniques. The monthly dues are fairly priced and not ridiculous. My son loves it here and never wants to miss a class.

Fantastic experience: I work in Denver often and when I am there, I always train at Fusion Combat. It is a great way to burn a lot of calories and to learn some serious self defense. I like it because it is not just one type of fighting style, it’s the best and most practical methods from several fighting styles. They take the time to make sure you have the form down correctly and then ramp it up to normal speed. The great thing is that you use pads and practice against other students. This is done in a safe and methodical manner so nobody gets hurt or feels like they are outside their comfort zone. This is good because you get used to interacting with real opponents quickly. So you are not shocked if you have to defend yourself for real. I highly recommend this program to men and women of all ages.

Fantastic experience: The mixed martial arts class is highly recommended. Jesse is amazing with working with the children in the class and adapts to what they need to each work on. He makes sure they understand what is being said and takes interest in how they are doing. The class has been such a positive impact for my daughter.

Fantastic experience: Ben and Jesse are the nicest guys and they really break things down to make it easy to learn! I have been taking private Muay Thai lessons from Ben on and off for a couple of years and it’s been both a great way to stay in shape and a great way to build up self-discipline. It’s a tough sport but so worth the training. It’s definitely helped me learn to keep going when I’m tired and want to stop. I’ve gotten so much stronger because of it. It definitely helps that Ben is funny and can make me laugh while I’m getting my butt kicked! Oh, and they also have an amazing kids program and an all-women’s kickboxing class, so take note if you want to train with other ladies or if you have kiddos!

There is a great mix of skill levels, from beginner to advanced, making it a great place to train independent of any level of prior experience. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and personable and cultivate a team-like atmosphere that makes coming to class very fun. The sessions combine practical self-defense concepts with a great cardiovascular workout. In addition, this is a great way to improve your overall coordination and core strength. I trained here for 3 months before moving out of the Denver area. I had no previous experience with mixed martial arts or self defense. I highly recommend this gym to anyone!

This is the first martial arts program I've ever done, and the instructors have been great at teaching me the fundamentals at a slow enough pace for me to keep up but fast enough to be very challenging. The most enjoyable aspect for me so far has been the incredible amount of detail that goes into each technique and how they all feed into and complement one another. The other students make you feel welcome and push you to do your best. The facility is amazing! Always clean and has showers and locker rooms which most other martial arts schools don't. Fantastic experience: I _hate_ working out with a fiery passion, but love going to class because the instructors are amazing and create a friendly environment. I always liken myself to a drunk baby giraffe when it comes to my body mechanics, but they are patient and have helped increase my confidence in my ability to protect myself in possible dangerous situations and helped get me in shape for other activities I enjoy. I was definitely not in shape when I started and I’m glad I just decided to go and try out a class instead of waiting.
