Fantastic experience: I found Dr. Goldfarb in 2021 after doing research on Zocdoc and reading his amazing reviews. His office is inside the Medical Clinic of Houston in a residential area near Rice. After checking in I never have to wait more than 5 mins to be called into his patient room. I rarely wait more than another 5-10 mins to see him. A visit with Dr. Goldfarb never feels rushed. He is very professional and knowledgeable, asks thorough questions, and has a good bedside manner. Most importantly Dr. Goldfarb is open to discussing and trying new things based on my suggestions (and research). It feels good to know that my doctor listens to me and I have some say and control over medications that I choose to put in my body. My only gripe is the clinic has not adopted MyChart (yet). Test results are still sent via snail mail. His EA, Dalia, is very friendly and great with follow up whenever I call. Scheduling with her has been very easy.

Fantastic experience: I loved Dr Goldfarb. He is obviously very intelligent and knowledgeable. I had all of my questions answered. Everything in the office ran smoothly. The visit was excellent, the blood draw was easy, the EKG was fast and simple, and the x-ray was fast and efficient. I am a pediatrician with a 30 year old practice and I was impressed by Dr. Goldfarb and his office. I would highly suggest this office and Dr. Goldfarb.

Positive experience: I’ve been a patient of Medical Clinic of Houston for many years and believe they provide excellent service. All the doctors I see are Board Certified in their specialty which is not easy to obtain. The doctors have been thorough and listened without making me feel rushed so they could get to their next patient. Generally speaking, it’s easy to get an appointment and for the most part, they are on time without significant delay. The clinic is in an area without congestion so it’s easy getting in and out. They offer valet and self parking; self parking is plentiful and very reasonably priced at $5.00 regardless of how long you are there. My only beef, and it’s a big one is, they don’t have a Patient Portal. I’ve discussed this with my physician on several occasions but today still no portal. Excuses as to why one is not available only goes so far. I’m not certain but I believe the federal government mandated EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and if they moved forward back then, their portal would have it behind them with all the kinks worked out. Overall, I’m very pleased with the level of treatment and service.

Fantastic experience: Dr . Goldfarb does not make you wait for long in the waiting room and doesn’t make you wait for long once you get in the room. That’s the first thing we love . He has great bedside manner and remembers me and my husband and all about my husbands history each time we come in. Negative experience: Foul, condescending and dismissive at best. At worst, he literally told me my tests were poorly done, and he COULD ask that they be re-done, "but why?", he asked. "I admit it could have been done better, but it's good enough" Literally wrote on the order that the re-test was my idea. I told him I thought my reports should be accurate. In his best "mean girl" tone, he asked," "Why, what are YOU gonna do with it?" Yes, I actually had to remind that...man, that medical records follow the PATIENT, NOT THE DOCTOR. He's a real piece of work...depending on what you look like, I guess. In response to your boiler plate reply,..why in hell would I remain a patient of a so called professional who administered such contemptible "treatment"? I actually called and sent complaints via certified mail and got no response from management. I doubt your office is unaware. I took my patient records and moved on. Shared my testimony with several doctors who intimated Goldfarb should be ashamed of himself...but we know better than that. Didn't have to say much actually, as his hand written notes prompted several to scratch their heads and offer apologies to me on his behalf, and they dont even know him. Good riddance.

Fantastic experience: Dr Brian Goldfarb is an excellent Primary Care Physician working in a comprehensive medical clinic which has most of the specialties available, under one roof, needed for patient care. I have seen him for a number of years and have successfully referred friends and family members to him. He manages and treats my senior age typical ailments with care and understanding and combines medication with a need for a more active and careful lifestyle. I found him to be meticulous listener and methodical note taker with excellent records and a good appreciation of what should be tried and what should not. I regard his experience in treating symptoms to be unique: his solution to a persistent balance problem I had was unusual but very effective. I will add that his experience and skill is balanced by a equally competent support staff who ensure that patients are scheduled appropriately and seen promptly.

Fantastic experience: Great Doctor who has time to listen to you. In order to make the most out of my appointment, I have to write down my questions so I don't forget anything. Staff is great, parking is next to building, and many of the necessary tests can be done at this location. Most of my appointments from check-in to drive out are well under an hour and fifteen minutes. I've also had good luck getting an appointment on short notice as well. I highly recommend Dr Goldfarb and Medical Clinic of Houston.

Negative experience: The review below regarding bedside manner is a legitimate review. I had a similar experience. Was told my EXTENSIVE hair loss is "probably due to stress" and that the swollen areas in my chest are not lymph nodes, but swollen joints....and that was it. No referral, no further information on why they are swollen (still are), no offer to look into it...nothing. Still losing massive amounts of hair, still have swollen joints, tremendous amounts of body pain. Perhaps I didn't get any help because I am a younger patient? I was advised by my GP and the Hematologist that perhaps an Internist could help, but I felt completely blown off and would never go back.

The experience described here seems atypical in that our internal medicine physicians are trained to solve puzzling diagnostic problems and can handle chronic illnesses including situations where several different illnesses may strike at the same time. Written test results along with exam outcomes and recommendations are mailed to patients, typically within a week to 14 days, and it is customary to arrange a follow up should symptoms not improve. Fantastic experience: I am hypertensive & diabetic. Dr. Goldfarb is my primary physician and takes excellent care of me and my health issues. He is unfailingly attentive to any questions or issues I have. I am in very good health and his care contributes significantly to that. He is personable, knowledgeable, thorough, and easy to talk with. I highly recommend him as well as Medical Clinic of Houston.

Fantastic experience: I was a patient of Dr Goldfarb’s when I worked for another hospital system. Unfortunately my insurance provider doesn’t have Dr Goldfarb as in-network, or else I’d still be with him. Dr Goldfarb was always incredible! He was attentive, to the point, and always showed compassion. He has by far been my favorite physician. When I first saw him I had borderline pneumonia. Being a stubborn nurse, I waited to the last possible moment to be seen. Dr Goldfarb was so concerned about me after the visit that him and his staff kept calling to check in on me. I really appreciated them going that extra mile! Physicians can’t charge for after hour phone calls. It’s not the expectation. These actions far exceeded anything I would hope for from a physician and their team. You won’t regret Dr Goldfarb being your PCP! I wish he was in our network but since he isn’t, I refer anyone I know to him... even though technically I’m referring friends to my company’s competitor (by proxy). That’s just how much I enjoy Dr Goldfarb. Keep up the great work! Thank you for caring as much as you do!

Fantastic experience: I am actually Margie Sergent (not Kristen Jackson). My 95 year old mother had EXTREME blood in her urine that looked like coffee. This was NOT an expected thing that I was to see on my weekly visit to her!!!!! Her regular doctor was not available to see her that day but recommended Dr. Goldfarb. Being in an emergency situation at 11:00 am, we were seen in his office at 1:30 that same day. Despite us "coming in off the street" and him not even knowing us he treated us both with such kindness and capability. He did way more "one stop doctor checking" than I would have dreamed of so he could totally assess the issue. The tests he ordered to address her problem were done extremely quickly and he himself called me personally (since I'm her main caregiver) twice to give me each of her test results. Despite the bad news I am forever grateful to his kindness, speed and follow through of our situation...…..and to his staff who helped behind the scenes. If I lived in the area he would definitely be my doctor. Thank you Dr. Goldfarb again and we will be calling the next step Dr. on Monday that you recommended. You're a class act.
