Alive and Well

Negative experience: I brought my daughter (almost 17) to this location after a lengthy process to get her approved for IV ozone therapy. The first time we came in the IV room was crowded with people and not a call or relaxing environment at all. The nurses seemed flustered and rushed, and then when they tried to start an IV on my daughter they poked her twice and weren’t even able to find a vein (she became very nauseous and was crying as it hurt so much). We left without the therapy being administered, only to be charged full prove when they told me there was no charge. The manager refunded the charge and apologized but it was a horrible experience. A couple of weeks later we tried to get the IV ozone therapy done again - this time we arrived early but were left waiting for over 25 minutes. Eventually someone came up to us and said “Are you Alicia?” I told her no, and what my daughter’s name was and she then asked what we were there for, so I told her and she said “oh yeah that’s you” and took us back. The staff then tried to tell me I couldn’t be in the room with my daughter - I told them that’s not an option as she’s a minor and they were irritated and flustered. They then had to call multiple people to confirm she could get the IV ozone therapy as they couldn’t find any records of the significant doctors notes I had submitted or the approval process. When the nurse eventually was ready to start my daughter’s IV she was totally scattered and kept saying to her colleague she couldn’t believe how busy they were (there were two other people receiving IVs in the room) and was asking when the next patient was coming in. She then seemed to rush trying to start the IV - and completely blew my daughter’s vein. There was a large, visible swelling where the vein blew and my daughter was in tears (again) as it hurt her so much. This has seriously been the most awful experience and I would not recommend anyone come here for any IV treatments. They are unskilled, rushed, want to focus on patient volume, and crowd the IV room full. I’m now taking my daughter to Westlake Aesthetics & Wellness for her IV ozone therapy, where she is first examined by Dr Will (board certified anesthesiologist and pain management doctor) before the medical team administers treatment. I just wish I had know about Dr Will’s practice first and had never taken my daughter here.

Fantastic experience: I love this sanctuary. For the 90 minute massage and it was so relaxing. I will come back to try my treatments. The facility is beautiful clean and they have every single item supplement wellness thing you can imagine. Pharmacy and cafe next door is such a plus. Excited to discover more. Fantastic experience: I love everyone and everything about this place! My functional medicine practitioner (Lauren Colletti) is here and I utilize the pharmacy and wellness services. The nurses that administer the IV’s are so amazing and I’ve enjoyed a colonic and lymphatic treatment by caring, knowledgeable practitioners. This is the type of environment that fosters mind, body and spirit!

Over 1,000s of hours spent with allergists, specialist doctors, and being an expert patient at Cleveland clinic and Mayo Clinic. This place feels homey for me. Finding this place was a blessing. When you walk into a business where people make you genuinely and truthfully feel welcomed - that’s a place you keep going back to - just like home. Every nurse that administers my IVs, down to the active listening of the front desk admins - I love coming to this place for medical support, products, services, and compounded medications. Thank you for starting this practice to begin with from the little place it was, to building it into the beautiful place of rest, peace, and healing it truly is. -Melissa

Fantastic experience: This place is truly exceptional. They offer a fantastic happy hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which is always worth attending. I usually opt for the NAD shots, which boost my energy. The staff here are remarkable—both knowledgeable and incredibly friendly, making each visit a genuinely enjoyable experience.

Negative experience: I love Alive & Well for supplements and basic spa services. However, they are not a med spa so I would not recommend them for these level services. I have previously had micro-needling done at another spa but decided to booked my next session at Alive & Well to save time and money. I did not feel like I received as thorough of a treatment compared to what I have previously had done at my other place. This is a new service that they are offering so maybe they are just working out the kinks, but I will be sticking to facials, massages and retail services and will return to my original med spa for my micro needling sessions.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Danielle regularly for massages and she is absolutely amazing! So talented and intuitive and I always feel like a new person after coming in, can’t say enough great things! I also see Savannah for facials and she is wonderful! Uses great organic products and a nice blend of relaxing and effective cleansing exfoliating etc. I also use the infrared saunas which are super rejuvenating. Excellent wellness center!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Alive & Well for a couple of years and really enjoy their sauna and cold plunge amenities. However it was Colon Hydrotherapy with Elsa that truly made me fall in love with this place. I received my first treatment with Elsa back in April when I was beginning my gut health journey. Elsa was kind and gentle, teaching me how to let go on a micro level, which has now translated into other parts of my life. A few months later and I just finished 6 more sessions with Elsa. Colon Hydrotherapy has been so transformative in my life. I'm leaving my corporate job to pursue my dreams. I'm falling in love with my life again because I just feel so much better in my physical body. I will be back for another round of these sessions!

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience at alive and well The staff is super friendly and attentive. My treatment with Elsa was so healing. Elsa is incredibly kind and a very wise person ✨️ She walked me through the entire process beautifully and created such a safe relaxing environment. I highly recommend this place and Elsa for colon hydrotherapy!

Positive experience: I got the organic Hydra Facial and the experience was 10/10. The lady who gave it was amazing and I enjoyed every minute. However when I got home the ends of my eyelashes were singed! My eyelashes were about 2/3 their original length and bright blonde. Look, I can laugh at anything, I don’t take myself too seriously. It was fine. What wasn’t fine was when I called alive and well to tell them about this they SWORE it couldn’t have been from them and couldn’t refund me any amount. They didn’t even apologize cause it couldn’t have been from their organic products. Pretty nuts! Take before and after pics of your lashes ladies so they believe you! update: got a full refund!

Negative experience: Upon checking out after receiving a $265 IV, I presented my credit card for payment. The friendly attractive front desk staff asked me if I wanted to include a Tip for the Nurse. !!!What??? Are we tipping Doctors, Nurses, Anesthesiologist or Ambulance Drivers now?!!! To request this for a Medical treatment is appalling in itself... but to ask for a tip out loud is unacceptable. If the owner of Alive & Well wants to continue with this request for Tipping... they need to invest in a more discrete nonverbal point of purchase software. Of all the great things I could have posted, this last encounter at checkout left me with a very sour end. Dear Owner, let me know if you change your Tipping request procedure and I will gladly remove this review.

I absolutely loved my scalp treatment and my sweet grandma who just had hip surgery loved her experience with red light therapy. The staff was also so kind in helping her get in and out of red light with her limited mobility. Can’t recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: Elsa is incredibly knowledgeable, she is the best I have ever worked with in my 14 years of receiving hydrotherapy treatments. We are out of town a lot, Elsa is the reason my family and I finally committed to the monthly packages. Elsa has guided me through what services and little things I can do (all new to me) that will help me reach my goals. She’s an awesome coach. I love the IV nurses, they are so professional, and Maggie for lymph/massage. All my massages have been terrific. The ladies of the front desk do a great job of taking care of us. The staff is so good. Thank you everyone for a wonderful space to be well!

Fantastic experience: I go here every month for a facial and see my girl Savannah. Not only is she fantastic with my skin, but she is also such a kind and amazing person. I feel so relaxed and know that my skin will be very well taken care of. She is the only person I let touch my skin in the year leading up to my wedding, and I was glowing! If you want some lovin for your skin, Savannah is your girl.

Negative experience: I was attempting to check the price of a service online and accidentally made an appointment for laser hair removal. I called the office right after making the appointment and told them it was a mistake . The lady who answered the phone said that she cancelled the appointment at that time . Another person reached out to me later that week to see if I needed anything for my appointment, which I replied , I thought it was cancelled ! And I explained the situation . That person said they cancelled it as well . Well today was the original scheduled date and I can see that alive + well did not just charge me for the service , but also a random 100 charge on top of that . So you can imagine how upset I am . I will never be returning to this place again the communication is absolutely horrible . I could not have been more clear , I called immiediately after making that reservation to let them know it was a mistake .

Fantastic experience: I have been meaning to visit Alive and Well for years! After some holiday burnout, this was the perfect excuse to visit. I love that they use text to help coordinate appts, as I was trying to book multiple treatments for my visit, and someone reached out saying they'd call me to streamline it. Someone gave me a call and recommended a spa package. Not sure how long it's available for but it was a phenomenal deal -- infrared sauna, LED lounge, 60-min swedish massage, and a shot for $185. Shelby, the locker room attendant, was so helpful. Really sweet and quick to help me throughout my visit. Everything was clean and I felt amazing after the sauna + LED. There was a gap before my massage so I spent about 30 min in the lounge...it's really small and wish it had a water station. I overheard my massage therapist, Danielle, mention "one more to go" to someone before coming to get me (just curtains to close off the "lounge" so not hard to overhear hallway chatter). Tbh I was expecting her to be rushed or not very enthusiastic as it was the end of the day. Within 10 seconds of my massage, all my worries went away. I was SO relaxed and felt it was one of the best massages I've had in a while. I told my husband we need to start coming here instead of our usual spot for massages. Especially with all the additional wellness treatments that we appreciate!

Fantastic experience: I had a very painful case of shingles and my doctor prescribed a compound cream. I was told it would take 3-4 days but the pharmacist could tell that I was in pain. They filled it for me in a day. I was so thankful.

Jana and Svetlana are powerhouse providers and have helped myself and my son tremendously! He is now verbal, not aggressive, and is engaged with us!!! The therapies help yes but these treatments are helping his whole body and brain heal. We are so grateful and blessed by these providers!!!

Fantastic experience: When I first visited Alive + Well about 11 months ago, I had spent years seeing some of the best doctors in the country trying to find the root cause for some of my health challenges. After my first visit with the incredible Melanie Kelsey, I had a list of potential root causes and an action plan to validate them quickly. After a couple easy tests, we determined the root cause of my health challenges and Melanie put me on a thoughtful regimen to heal my body. I am still on on my journey to being 100% but have made huge strides with Melanie's guidance and input. The modalities that A+W has available has been truly incredible on my healing journey, including EB02 which has helped me accelerate my detox journey (thank you Amy and Gaby!). Mel Shafranek has also been the 1-2 punch as she has helped me navigate my nutrition to support my healing. Mel and Melanie and always closely coordinated and are continually helping me thrive. The two of them are key reasons I feel so strong and healthy. I will continue to see both of them regularly to turbocharge my health. Thank you for everything!

She is a sensitive, practical and wise therapist/guide to assist one to understand how to look at our challenges with deep compassion and patience. She also cares deeply for the well-being of all her students. I have enjoyed deep, soothing and rejuvenating yoga classes with her at Alive &Well, she will be missed.

Fantastic experience: I've been working with Melanie Kelsey and Mel S. at the functional medicine clinic at Alive + Well since May, and have had an amazing experience with them both. I was a year into a Hashimotos and Hypothyroid diagnosis, and had worked with other functional health practitioners in the past and felt very frustrated and unheard. I was definitely wary at first of how expensive things are, and wanted to make sure that my lifestyle, which included a lot of work and travel, was taken into consideration when developing a treatment protocol. Melanie K made me feel very listened to and understood early on, which is important when you're about to make a substantial financial investment in your health. I told Melanie the other day in our 3rd appointment (but probably 5th Zoom call altogether because she REALLY wants to hear you out) that I'd pay the same amount again in a heartbeat if it meant I'd feel this much better. Melanie takes the time to explain your labs to you, why you're on the supplements you're on, why and how the lifestyle tweaks you need to make are going to be good in the long run, and she is receptive to feedback about what's working and what's not. There are times she can be the "bad cop" but I appreciate how straightforward she is because she's truly advocating for you to be your best, and not undermine your own progress. I'm going to stay a client of Alive and Well for a long time, as I suspect that I won't truly be "done" with my health journey, as long as I have Melanie's support. Mel S is also amazing! Definitely one of the kindest, most approachable nutrition experts i've ever worked with. She wants to know about your journey to help you make thoughtful next steps. She also has an answer for EVERYTHING. Name your favorite snack, and Mel has a replacement that can fit within your dietary protocol. Yes, even chocolate. Highly recommend working with Mel for nutrition support. Overall, A+W has been the most responsive, helpful, well-staffed, comprehensive place I've ever gone for my health. It's going to feel expensive to participate in the functional medicine program, but again, I'd do it again without a second thought because I truly feel so much better than I did. I still have a ways to go, but I don't think I can get myself to where I want to be without A+W.

Melanie is professional, caring, encouraging, empathetic, thorough, and crazy smart. She has identified both issues and interventions that have brought relief and healing - helping me accomplish the health goals we set at my first appointment. Mel is professional, empathetic, kind and incredibly knowledgeable about all things nutrition. She strikes the perfect balance of reasonable nutrition - practices that invite healing but also can be incorporated into the life of a working mom.

Negative experience: This place as a lot of services and options. Is ascetically pleasing on the inside. Services were fast and informative. I received shots from their nurses. First, the shots were not in the appropriate location. They placed the shot on the side of my arm close to my armpit. Not in the appropriate deltoid area. Second, I felt very awkward as they sat me around everyone in the lobby and I was not brought back to a room. She asked me where I would like the shot and I felt obligated to say my arm because I was not going to remove my pants in the lobby. Due to this experience, I would definitely be too uncomfortable to receive an IV from here.

Fantastic experience: Alive + Well is a huge part of my weekly routine and wellness rituals. I continue going back each week because of the people.... Ariana greeting you as soon as you walk in is the absolute best, I always feel at home and cared for when she is there!!!!! I see Cindy for monthly acupuncture sessions and she is pure magic, a real live angel working on you. Bailey.... my facials are one of my favorite treatments, she has nursed my skin to health and I trust no one else with it. I love her dearly!!!! I also see Lauren for functional medicine and couldn't feel more supported, her care and attention is so nourishing. And if that wasn't enough... the pharmacy, so much goodness and Amelia and Kat are the sweetest and so knowledgeable. Alive + Well is my one stop shop.

The best first time experience I could’ve ever had thank you to the sweetest and probably the best nurses I’ve been around. Fantastic experience: I was trying to get these pills for migraine headaches that were recommended to me. I tried ordering it through Amazon and both times Amazon sent the wrong pills even though I had ordered the correct ones. I ended up calling the manufacturer to try and source it out locally and they recommended Alive + Well. I called them on the phone and ordered the medicine for pickup. But a week and a half went by, and I was unable to get there. Today I called them again asking them if they would ship it and offered to pay for the shipping. The lady on the phone was great! She was so nice to me the first time I called and ordered the medication and had it ready within a couple of hours. Then when I called today and asked her to ship it, she said she could do it for free as they have a local delivery service. When I get a chance, I'm going to have to try and visit the store. They are also a compounding pharmacy, so they do deliveries. But as far as it goes, they have exceptional customer service, and I would highly recommend them to everyone!

Negative experience: Drove over 30 minutes to pick up online order just to get told the store section closes before the stated hours on the website. There should be a note of this on the confirmation email when you purchase an online order.

Fantastic experience: I was visiting Austin on a work trip, and decided to stop by Alive + Well on a recommendation, simply to pick up some supplements. And then... you know how sometimes you get on YouTube to watch only one video, and four hours later you're still online? Because of all the other cool videos you end up watching that were initially unplanned? That has been exactly my experience at Alive + Well. From the very first day, I was greeted by the most charming and attentive staff member, Ariana, who took her time to debrief me on all of the services on offer that could interest me. Not only was she was very knowledgeable about her stuff, but her enthusiasm for was she does is very contagious, and I was hooked! That very day I ended up trying out my very first Cold Plunge, which was an incredible experience -- so much so that I ended up booking another session later in the week. There was another treatment I became interested in -- the acupuncture therapy -- but unfortunately it seems to be very popular and was booked several weeks out. Ariana was kind enough to keep my information on file and promised to call in case there was a last minute opening due to a cancellation. Sure enough, she was 100% good on her word, calling just a couple of days later to let me know of an available slot, and thus I was able to get my sought after acupuncture reservation. All in all, my experience at Alive + Well has gone above and beyond any and all expectations I had when I first arrived. Their services are top of the line, and with team members such as Ariana -- whose genuine concern for her clients' welfare is just as much a part of the package as the services themselves -- it almost feels like you've just stepped into an NBA court during the All-Star weekend, and everyone around you is a superstar. Recommend without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: Recently went to the Kollective location to have a detox and Glutathione drip done and came out feeling refreshed. The nurse was super helpful. It was our first time there and she went out of her way to explain the different packages that suited my needs. She turned down the lights and let me take a nap during the IV. She even ran car keys out to my wife in the parking lot. Very good experience and I will definately go again.

Positive experience: The facility was nice, clean, and pleasant environment. The bed for the red light therapy was so hard and uncomfortable that I got a back spasm getting out of it. The wrap and robe did not fit me (plus size) even when I was assured they would. I ended up walking from each treatment holding a towel in front of me for extra coverage. The staff were all very pleasant, smiling and seemed to like their jobs. Everything was efficiently run.

Fantastic experience: Jana Roso is an absolute gem. She’s able to really look at the total situation a child is dealing with and run all the tests needed to get a proper diagnosis. She works well with the several other providers on my sons team. She’s well worth every penny.

Negative experience: Very inflexible with their reservations. I had to pay $80 for a service I didn't receive. I won't return to this business.

Erica is absolutely amazing for massage and Savannah gives the best facial I’ve ever had! This place is my go to for wellness, healing, and everyone is so knowledgeable!

Negative experience: I never write reviews but I don't want others to experience what I did. I went to Alive and Well for six weeks for weight loss management and guidance. When I expressed disappointment and frustration, I was all but completely ignored- right way this tells you they have no experience with how sensitive this can be. I spent quite a bit of money and they didn't even try to help or address my concerns. They didn't complete promises to update my records with information, didn't answer questions in the portal but still went ahead and charged my card without permission. You will not receive personal attention as they promise in return for a lot of money.

Fantastic experience: My first experience at Alive & Well was so lovely. They greeted me with genuine smiles and I could tell from the moment I started with Jules she really cares about what she does...helping people heal. I can't wait for my next visit!

Fantastic experience: They have helped me so much in my health journey. I use their functional medicine care as well as vitamin drips + ozone therapies at least twice a month.

Negative experience: Update 11/10: My appointment got canceled today due to my provider having a family emergency. I missed the call due to being in a meeting, and the message said to go online to rebook. When I went online to do so, it said my provider did not have availability for four months!! I am extremely frustrated, no one ever answers the phone, and based off of how long ago, my consult was, I should’ve already been seen. If you want to go to a provider that has terrible communication, this is the place for you. Update ** 3/5- they just called me back to schedule. Will update this review after my experience! (1/5) I am quite disappointed with Alive and well. I had my introductory call for a Functional Medicine Appointment maybe three or four weeks ago and was told that I was going to be reached out to via email to schedule my initial appointment. I never received an email from anybody. I tried calling back the number that called me for my introductory appointment, and I’ve heard nothing. I’ve called their office multiple times and left a message with no response. I’ve grown extremely frustrated with trying to address my health problems and feeling as if this is just a typical doctors experience when it should be more than just that for how much I’m willing to pay in order to find answers around my issues. Now, to schedule an introductory call, I’ll have to wait until middle of November when I could’ve been seen at the beginning of the month.

Fantastic experience: The pharmacy staff was amazing as always

Positive experience: Came here for the first time today and was underwhelmed at best and insulted at worst. The space itself is nice to look at but behind the scenes it’s pretty basic and actually quite loud. I feel like I drastically overpaid for what ended up being a mediocre experience, and I found it is not the place for a relaxing spa day. Pros: - The nurse who ended up finally doing my IV was super friendly and attentive - The blanket and heating pad made the experience very comfortable - Morgan was absolutely lovely and provided one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Super targeted to my areas of concern and the pressure was perfect Cons: - The lobby was super loud and packed when I checked in, and the receptionist never offered me water or to show me where the locker room or cafe were despite knowing it was my first time here - The nurse that took me back to the IV lounge was a bit short and after confirming the IV drip I was going to get she literally disappeared and left me in the room alone waiting for 30 minutes with no explanation or apology. This was super frustrating because I had a massage scheduled after the IV drip and I purposely scheduled it so that I would have ample time between services to relax. Finally another nurse came into the room, asked if any of my vitals had been taken (nope) and agreed to go ahead and do everything for me since I was waiting so long. My IV didn’t end up getting started until 45 minutes after my appointment time. - The IV drip was relaxing but the button on the chair to reverse the incline on my chair wasn’t working and the entire chair ended up tipping forward so I almost fell out of it - The “spa waiting room” is the size of a closet, can fit 2-3 people max with just a couple of basic chairs, and you can hear all of the loud noise from the lobby and employees shouting back and forth to each other in the hallway, so it’s anything but relaxing - Throughout my massage I could hear employees laughing and chatting in the hallway, so this definitely hampered the relaxation part of the experience Overall, I was pretty disappointed and do not plan on returning for any services other than a massage from Morgan.

Fantastic experience: I would like to recommend Alive+Well for all needs health, body and mind related. While all staff is fabulous, Shannon Cohen is the ❤️and soul of this place. As soon as you are being greeted by her, you know you are in the right place. Shannon exudes empathy, kindness and knowledge. She has a long experience in the holistic health sector and lives accordingly with authenticity and charm. And on top of that, she is a wonderful human being!

Fantastic experience: This is such a wonderful place ! One of the most welcoming feelings , is when you arrive and are greeted by Shannon’s warm smile. You just begin to relax and know you will be well taken care of. Shannon has an amazing wealth of knowledge on health and matters of the heart I continue to learn so much from her ! Fantastic experience: Alive + Well is wonderful! I have tried their hydrafacial and ultimate spa retreat. The facials are amazing! Savannah is so good at what she does–definitely the best facial I have ever gotten. The nurse who gave me my shot was also great! Kind, quick and didn't feel a thing! The massage was just ok but to be fair I am a pretty harsh critic. The place is beautiful but you don't really get a "spa retreat" vibe. The women's locker room is small so when you book the Ultimate spa retreat you basically just get a bundled package of services no lounging involved. You complete one service then redress and go back out to busy lobby to wait for your next service. I was envisioning more of a robe, slipper, tea sipping type of experience. However, it's still a great deal and way to try out several services!

Fantastic experience: Becca was incredible and she just started 3 weeks ago. She was welcoming and so calm during my whole experience. Savannah was the best facial I’ve ever gotten. I actually fell asleep and that never happens. Definitely plan on spending the day here because there’s so much to do and so well-priced. The girls in the front were very chatty. Almost clique-y but you can expect that from any place that employs all women. Regardless of that tremendous way to spend your birthday

Fantastic experience: I am enamored with this place. The services and staff are amazing, and the space is gorgeous. I’ve done massage, hydra facial, nutrition coaching, and dermashape and loved all the treatments. It’s my go-to place for wellness including supplements.
